Corpus especializado para el estudio de la lengua de la geometría española del siglo XVII
Get PDFThis article analyzes the historical documentation concerning scientific mathematical texts, given the interest in incorporating these type of works to the diachronic study of the Spanish language and in collecting manuscripts and documents of a mathematical nature. The main purpose is to create a corpus that will be published in a textual edition and will be accompanied by different levels of linguistic analysis. In this way, we seek to alleviate the lack of philological works in the field of mathematical sciences.

This article is part of a research project funded by the Fundación Séneca - Agencia de Ciencia y Tecnología de la Región de Murcia [Project code: 19296/PI/14].Este artículo fija su atención en el análisis de la documentación histórica concerniente a los textos científicos de carácter matemático, dado el interés por incorporar este tipo de obras para los estudios diacrónicos de la lengua española; de ahí que se proponga la recopilación de los manuscritos y los impresos con contenidos matemáticos, con el fin de constituir un corpus de referencia que será objeto de edición textual, además del correspondiente análisis lingüístico en distintos niveles. Se persigue paliar de esta forma la falta de trabajos de índole filológica sobre el ámbito de las ciencias matemáticas.

No full textLos países en desarrollo y emergentes suelen tener unas instituciones débiles e inestables. Por ello, la internacionalización empresarial hacia estos países conlleva una serie de riesgos surgidos de las diferencias institucionales entre el país de origen y el país de destino. En estos países, el turismo es un sector clave para su desarrollo socio-económico, como es el caso de Marruecos. Por tanto, este artículo tiene como objetivo estudiar los retos institucionales que afrontan las empresas hoteleras, PYMEs y propietarios individuales que operan en Marruecos en 2017 y si estos obstáculos son percibidos de igual manera por empresarios extranjeros y locales. De los resultados obtenemos información útil para tener éxito empresarial en países en desarrollo, especialmente, Marruecos.Developing economies usually have unstable and weak institutions. Therefore, business internationalization to these countries involves several risks due to institutions differences between the origin country and the host country. In these countries, tourism is a key sector for their socio-economic development, as in the case of Morocco. For all of these reasons, the aim of this report is to identify institutional challenges encountered by companies, SME and/or sole proprietors when operating in Morocco in 2017. Besides, we want to know whether these challenges are noticed by local and foreign entrepreneurs in the same way. The results will give us useful information to be successful in developing economies, specially, Morocco

Get PDFLa Adivinanza 90, única composición en latín incluida en el Exeter Book, es un enigma de por sí. Hasta la fecha no ha sido imposible ofrecer una explicación plausible de sus extrañas pistas, de manera que no se ha encontrado todavía una solución convincente para ella. El objetivo principal de este ensayo no es, sin embargo, añadir una nueva solución más a la larga lista de propuestas que ya ha tenido lugar. La razón principal es que, creo, que este texto no es una adivinanza sino más bien una reelaboración de un poema bestiario medieval, que procede de la práctica escolar. Aunque está bastante claro que algunos de los elementos textuales de la Adivinanza 90 son afines a las carateríscticas que se observan en otros acertijos, se puede llegar a una mejor comprensión del poema si sus componentes retóricos y sus imágenes se analizan a la luz de la poesía bestiaria medieval, que deriva a su vez de las fábulas clásicas. Este artículo, por tanto, intentará demostrar que los contenidos de la Adivinanza 90 son reminiscentes de esta tradición literaria, que se desarrolló en el contexto escolar del periodo medieval temprano
Texas Hold’em Anglicisms in Italian
Get PDFAlthough gambling has a long tradition and evidence of its practice can be found even in antiquity, the game of poker – initially associated with US casinos – consolidated its present form and spread all over the world only in the 20thcentury. The late 1990s, when technology allowed poker to go online, marked the birth of a mass phenomenon attracting millions of players anywhere Internet connections were available. Interest in the game and the potential for big wins at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas and other tournaments have resulted in the birth of communities of professionals and amateur players with their own specialised language. This paper deals with the English terms typical of the variety of poker known as Texas Hold’em which have filtered into the Italian language as direct and indirect borrowings. A small corpus of Anglicisms has been collected from Italian dictionaries and official regulations. Although only few English poker terms are registered in Italian dictionaries, their number is much higher in official regulations, where they are sometimes accompanied by Italian translation equivalents, but more often used in their original or derived forms. Such difference indicates that the influence of English in this specialised area of vocabulary is rapidly growing, with terms and phrases being assimilated as part of the jargon of poker circles and regular players

Le brunch et son réseau d’anglicismes : étude sur un corpus spécifique
Get PDFA specific corpus is an ad hoc corpus compiled for a specific purpose. The present corpus was created by extracting texts of a sub-genre of the French press over the last five year having as the target word the Anglicism brunch. The main objective isto have a corpus in which every single text has at least one occurrence of the target word. Both quantitative and qualitative analyses concerning other words closely associated to brunch were carried out and particularly concerning other Anglicisms that gravitate around it as for instance street food or food truck. It should be noted that the use of an Anglicism from aspecific semantic field attracts other Anglicisms of the same field. The results of this study were compared with the results of theFrench press, especially with the data found in the online archives of the newspaper le Monde from 1944 to date. By doing so theirorigin, evolution, usage and institutionalisation in contemporary French have been delimited.Un corpus spécifique est un corpus créé ad hoc en fonction de l’objet de recherche. Ce corpus a été créé à partir de textes d’un sous-genre de la presse française des cinq dernières années en ayant comme mot cible l’anglicisme brunch. Le but principal étant de compter avec un corpus dans lequel chaque texte contient au minimum une occurrence de ce terme. Ensuite, nous avons procédé à l’analyse à la fois quantitative et qualitative du lexique associé à brunchavec un intérêt particulier à d’autres anglicismes qui gravitent autour de lui, comme par exemple street foodou foodtruck. Il est aisé de constater que l’emploi d’un anglicisme d’un champ lexical spécifique attire vers lui d’autres anglicismes du même champ. Enfin, nous avons comparé les résultats obtenus dans notre corpus avec ceux de la presse française en général et en particulier avec les données issues des archives électroniques du journalLe Mondedepuis 1944.
