The effect of competence, workload, and incentives on the interest of civil servants to become commitment-making officials in Malaka Regency
Purpose: This study aimed to determine the influence of individual competence, workload, and incentives on the interest of State Civil Servants for the positions of Commitment-Making Officials in Malaka Regency.
Research methodology: The type of method in this research is quantitative research method. The sampling techniques used are Non-probability Sampling method and Saturated Sampling technique. The data analysis techniques are simple linear regression and multiple linear analyses.
Results: The results of this study are that partially, individual competence, workload, and incentives have a positive but not significant effect on the interest of civil servants in the Commitment-Making Official Positions in Malaka Regency. Individual competence, workload, and incentives simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the interest of civil servants in commitment-making positions in Malaka Regency.
Limitations: Research variables are complex and research results may change in the future.
Contribution: The findings of this study can be used as the basis for evaluating the Malaka local government bureaucracy and can be scientific information for students of the public administration program
Managing uncertainties for effective social network: Strategic analysis of media literacy with Scenario Planning Method
Purpose: This research was conducted to identify future scenarios in the field of media literacy and explore alternative futures in this field in Iran.
Research methodology: The method of this research was scenario planning or scenario design with an exploratory futuristic approach. In this method, in several steps from identifying the factors affecting the future of media literacy to exploring future uncertainties, creating the logic of scenarios, describing the narrative of scenarios, identifying and strategically analyzing opportunities and threats related to each scenario, and finally identifying strategies for the future Includes with each scenario.
Results: In this study, 30 factors affecting the future were identified and analyzed perceptually/cognitively. The output of the research is to present four possible future scenarios of media literacy with the letters of Paradise Lost, Titanic, Leviathan, and The Dark Knight, each of which is described in the following article.
Limitations: Each of the strategies is derived from the matrix analysis of opportunities and threats and their interaction.
Contribution: The present study will theoretically contribute to the academic and theoretical richness as well as promote the culture and literature of futurism in the field of communication sciences and especially in the field of media literacy. It has operational importance and necessity
Collaboration strategy in the development and inheritance of Archipelago’s Arts
Purpose: To increase the value of repertoire in interactions between humans, religion, and the state as an effort to inherit the arts and culture of the archipelago.
Research methodology: In addition to primary data sources from resource persons at the art study sites, secondary data sources from various articles, journals, and videos from YouTube are also used in the SWOT analysis process.
Results: The strategy for the inheritance of the archipelago's arts is found in the art of Kuda Renggong, which creates a creative, reactive, formative attitude, and synergizes with the development of Indonesian culture 5.0.
Limitations: The studies and analysis results in this article can be used as the basis for other research studies that analyze the influence of technological progress on the development of the cultural arts of the archipelago.
Contribution: As a basis for studies based on Anthropology, Cultural Studies, and Art Education which are able to analyze various studies in multi-disciplinary ways
Managerial Competencies and Growth of Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs) in Abuja Metropolis, Nigeria
Purpose: This study aimed at investigating the effect of managerial competencies on the growth of SMEs in Abuja Metropolis, Nigeria.
Research methodology: The study adopted Raosoft to determine a sample size of 395. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection, while regression was used for data analysis.
Results: It was found that both technical and personal competencies have a positive and strong effect on the growth of SMEs, while conceptual skills recorded a negative and insignificant effect on the growth of SMEs in the Abuja Metropolis.
Limitations: This study is limited to SMEs operators in Abuja Metropolis (the political capital of Nigeria), Leaving Lagos (the economic capital of Nigeria untouched). It is only when Lagos is covered that one can give a clear direction if Nigerian SMEs operators are changing with the changing business world.
Contribution: Operators, owners as well as policymakers in SMEs are expected to benefit from this study as it will serve as an eye-opener to the hidden and untapped potentials embedded in the proper application of managerial skills
Flexible Work Arrangements and Workplace Productivity: Examining The Nexus
Purpose: This study investigates the nexus between flexible working arrangements (FWA) and the productivity of the selected workplaces across the 6 geo-political zones in Nigeria.
Research methodology: The descriptive survey design was used, with a population of 600 businesses in chosen states throughout Nigeria's six geopolitical zones. Using the statistical procedure developed by Krejcie and Morgan (1970), a sample size of 234 was found. Data was acquired from primary sources, and descriptive (mean) and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data with a 5% level of significance.
Results: Flexible work arrangements had a positive statistical effect on workplace productivity (R2 = 0.882359, F = 1545.089, p-value = 0.05).
Limitations: One state does not efficiently represent the geopolitical zones.
Contribution: FWA can influence the development of business policies and strategies as revealed in the study. As such, businesses must adapt and invest in strategies that support and facilitate FWA such as information and technology systems, as they have become crucial to both staff and workplace viability
Customer satisfaction and the influence of quality service aspects: A case study of a cooperative union in Cape Coast, Ghana's Central Region
Purpose: This is to determine the association between quality service aspects and customer satisfaction in non-interest-based financial services.
Research Methodology: The study used a quantitative approach and a descriptive design, as well as a simple random sampling technique, closed-ended questionnaire, multiple linear regression, and SPSS 20.0 versions for data translation and analysis.
Result: The study concludes that customer satisfaction is influenced by quality service dimensions such as empathy, tangibility, assurance, responsiveness, and reliability.
Limitation: Time limits, assumptions about the underlying theory, and the use of a single credit union were all possible stumbling blocks.

Forecasting the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia during the Covid-19 Pandemic
Purpose: This study aims to predict the number of foreign tourists who come to Indonesia during the pandemic.
Research Methodology: Forecasting using the Holt-Winters Multiplicative method and secondary data, namely the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia obtained from the website of the Central Statistics Agency.
Results: Based on the forecast, in November and December 2021, the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia will increase because it coincides with the Christmas and New Year holidays. However, from January-October 2022, the visit rate continued to decline. The possibility of an increase in confirmed cases of COVID-19 due to the December forecast, namely the increased mobility of people to tourist destinations to spend the holiday, could be due to the global economic crisis due to COVID-19 cases.
Limitations: The number of foreign tourist visits data on the Central Bureau of Statistics website is only available from early 2017 to October 2021.
Contribution: Forecasting results can be used as a reference for the Indonesian government in formulating policies in anticipating the arrival of foreign tourists during the pandemic so that the recovery of the economic sector can be maximized
Assessing the effectiveness of local community leaders in managing forest resources in the Mole National Park
Purpose: Protected areas remain an indispensable haven for wildlife resources, and fringe communities must participate in protected area management. Conflicts do arise amongst stakeholders and to resolve these conflicts and to get the best result out of protected areas, the co-management approach is apt, and community leaders play a major role in this direction. However, the focus of this paper is to explore how effective community leaders are in the co-management process.
Research methodology: Mixed method approach was used in this study. For data collection, Questionnaire administration, Focus Group Discussions, and Key Informant Interviews were used in gathering the data. Data analysis was performed using SPSS where results were presented as descriptive statistics supported by content analysis.
Findings: The study revealed that the fringe communities endorse their leaders as the most effective in protected Area management. The study also showed that both the surrounding communities and the Mole national park benefit positively from collaborative management.
Limitations: Some of the community people who were sampled for the question administration were skeptical and reluctant in giving an audience to the researcher with the fear of being cited with contempt of interfering with the work of wildlife staff, but this was later resolved. In addition, the geographical scope of the study was limited to only three communities due to funding challenges.
Contribution: The study could engender the development of benefit-sharing schemes in protected areas and could also lead to the discovery of eco-tourism potentials of some of the fringe communities
The effect of using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) on reducing the financial and administrative corruption in Iraqi Government Units
Purpose: This research aims to explore the importance application the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) to the accountants and auditors in government units, which in turn contributes to raising the efficiency of scientific and practical performance as one of the fights against financial and administrative corruption suffered by the majority of the government units in Iraq.
Research methodology: This research used a statistical method in the analysis and measurement by using (SPSS) program to extract the necessary statistical indicators to determine the impact of the independent variables (BSC) on the dependent variable (financial and administrative corruption).
Results: There is a significant correlation between the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and the professional performance efficiency of accountants and auditors, as well as a significant correlation between the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and the fight against financial and administrative corruption.
Limitations: There is a conflict between legislation, laws, and administrative controls in some measures of the balanced scorecard. Besides that, the lack of transparency and impartiality of the employees responsible for setting the balanced scorecard measures, as well as the other parties
Contribution: Find recommended the need to apply the balanced scorecard in the evaluation of the efficiency and improve the performance of the work of accountants and auditors, and the need for government units in the city of Samawah-Iraq, the establishment of training courses, seminars, workshops, and giving lectures specialized in combating financial and administrative corruption that is prevalent in the majority of government units
Investigating the relationship between homework and academic achievement in elementary students
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between homework and academic achievement in elementary students.
Research methodology: The statistical population includes students in the fifth year of the elementary school in Tehran. Using the random sampling method, 160 people were selected as the research sample. The tool used to collect data is a researcher-made questionnaire. The statistical method used is the calculation of correlation coefficient and chi-square.
Results: The results of the analysis showed that there is a significant relationship between homework and academic achievement.
Limitations: One of the problems of the research was the lack of resources which was considered a serious problem and the other was in the implementation of the questionnaire.
Contribution: This study is expected can give a piece of knowledge about the relationship between homework and students' academic achievement
