    An assessment of corporate social responsibility of property developers in Bauchi Metropolis, Nigeria

    Purpose: The study aims to assess the corporate social responsibility of property developers in Bauchi metropolis with a view to examine the importance and effects of corporate social responsibility on property development in the study area. This study is limited to Bauchi metropolis. Research Methodology:The study uses descriptive and exploratory research design using quantitative research approach. Questionnaires were administered to 20 property developers within Bauchi metropolis using purposive sampling techniques. Reliability was investigated by an overall average Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.81, the data obtained was analyzed using percentage computation, weighted mean, relative importance index (RII) and severity index (SI) were also used. Findings: The most important corporate social responsibility (CSR) to the property developers is environmental sustainability followed by a qualitative environment, the less important is the safety of houses. Furthermore, the highest CSR provided by the developers is environmental sustainability. Among the highest effects of neglecting corporate social responsibility is causing damage to the environment while the least is developing poor neighborhoods. Limitations: This study explored on only 20 property development firms within Bauchi metropolis, results might not necessarily apply to other firms within the metropolis. Contribution: This study will be of significant importance to the government and professional bodies in the built environment in terms of policy formulation, these can help checkmate the property development companies in carrying out corporate social responsibilities to the immediate environment they operate thereby becoming socially responsible and allowing the general public/community to enjoy projects that will enhance their lives.     Organizational cynicism and employee performance: evidence from a Sri Lankan audit sector

    Purpose: This study examined the relationship between organizational cynicism and employee performance at diverse hierarchical levels in big four audit firms in Sri Lanka. Research methodology: By adopting quantitative research methodology, questionnaires were used as a primary data collection method from audit trainees, audit supervisors, and audit managers in big 4 audit firms in Sri Lanka. This was conducted by deploying a convenient sampling technique, and regression models are used by applying SPSS. Results: The study found a significant negative relationship between organizational cynicism and employee performance at audit firms and that each dimension of organizational cynicism. Limitations: Organizational cynicism was analyzed based on employee perception, although there are other influencing factors for organizational cynicism. Contribution: This study's findings are expected to support audit supervisors in avoiding the discovered negative effect instead by lessening the degree of psychological contract violation and organizational politics.     Purpose: Currently, the main question facing the entrepreneur is to find out who exactly the consumers of their goods what their market and its structure is. Owning such information, enterprises can direct their business activities in the right direction and achieve their goals. In this regard, the aim of the work is to study the effect of various characteristics on the consumption process. Research Methodology: The main method of research is monographic, and within the framework of the work a survey withheld conducted. Results: The main results of the study are related to the fact that the characteristics of the consumption process have a significant impact on the activities of business units.     A review on status and profitability of large cardamom production in Nepal

    Purpose: This study focuses on the status, strength and problems of large cardamom cultivation in Nepal and  also identify profitability of  large cardamom farming in Nepal. Research Methodology: Numbers of journal articles and reports were consulted as secondary source of data and conclusion were drawn and summarized. Results: Area and production of large caradamom in Nepal is increasing day by day and major production is concentrated in four eastern districts .  B/C ratio of cardamom production varies from 1.70 to 3.06 and one fifth of household income in eastern hill of Nepal is attributed by Large cardamom. Price fluctuation, middleman and diseases are identified as major problems. Limitation: Lack of funding, less access to the data and documents are the limitations of study.
