The right to environmental cleanliness through waste management in West Lampung Regency
Purpose: This study aims to examine waste management problems in the Lampung Barat Regency.
Research Methodology: This study employed a normative method using a descriptive analysis approach. Secondary data were acquired through meticulous literature review and subjected to qualitative analysis. The secondary data in question include Law Number 18 of 2008 concerning Waste Management, Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management, West Lampung Regency Regional Regulation Number 4 of 2018 concerning Waste Management, and West Lampung Regent Regulation Number 31 2022 Regarding Waste Reduction Guidelines. Rigorous literature selection ensured data validity. The outcomes of the analysis served as the basis for accurate conclusions within the research.
Results: Fulfillment of the right to a clean environment through waste management is a reference for the government and local governments implementing the principles of Good Environmental Governance with a growth orientation awareness for the community about a good and healthy living environment.
Limitations: Waste management remains an unresolved problem. There are several laws and regulations that correlate with waste management in Indonesia, namely Law No. 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management and several other laws.
Contribution: Fulfilling the right to a clean environment through waste management refers to three legal systems that are a combination of components: structure, substance, and culture. A mathematical model of routing problem for hazardous biomedical waste: A multi-objective particle swarm optimization solution approach
Purpose: This model aims at solving a Green Heterogeneous and Stochastic Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem that takes into account the risks and environmental hazards.
Research Methodology: Regarding an NP-hard and complex problem, and after confirming the accuracy of the problem-solving in smaller dimensions by GAMS software, the problem is solved by the metaheuristic algorithm of multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) and its coding in MATLAB software.
Results: The results urge that using random sampling and probability distribution, non-deterministic parameters turned into deterministic ones, and high-quality solutions were obtained.
Limitation: The proposed method is a routing problem and has been applied for the Green Heterogeneous and Stochastic Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem. Future researchers may work on real data sets and hazardous biomedical waste data.
Contribution: Based on the results presented, the model derived in this paper can support decisions such as routing, prioritization, time to reach each node, etc. so that the costs of routing, system reliability, environmental issues, and penalties for violation of the priority and maximum time elapsed for vehicles are taken into account
Evaluation chain management model with emphasis on intellectual capital using blockchain technology
Purpose: The main purpose of this paper is the evaluation of the chain management model with an emphasis on intellectual capital in knowledge-based organizations using blockchain technology.
Research methodology: First, by reviewing previous studies and researches, the framework for readiness to accept blockchain was extracted. Then, the different areas of the value chain of knowledge-based organizations were identified. Then, a questionnaire for pairwise comparisons was distributed using a hierarchical approach. Finally, the TOPSIS questionnaire was distributed to rank the 5 identified areas of activity in the value chain and knowledge management of knowledge-based organizations. Semi-structured interviews with the organization's experts have been used to explain the promising methods in the organization further to improve the efficiency of blockchain acceptance and meaningful research orientations for researchers.
Results: These findings include the undiscovered potential of knowledge sharing and collaboration networks, the expected evolutionary stages of the Internet of Things, and eliminating intermediaries that lead to new business models such as token building and short-term rather than long-term relationships. Obstacles include staffing problems, legal uncertainty, loss of infrastructure and standardization, and unclear governance structures. Juridical analysis of the authority of judges to decide sentencing cases in the perspective of proportionality and the principle of justice
Purpose: This research discusses the legal regulation of judges’ authority to decide sentencing cases from the perspective of proportionality and the principle of justice, and the implementation, constraining factors, and efforts of judges’ authority to decide sentencing cases from the perspective of proportionality and the principle of justice (research study of Batam District Court Class 1A).
Research methodology: The research method of this thesis is normative juridical (legal research) through a literature study supported by empirical juridical (sociological juridical) through a field study that aims to empirically obtain legal knowledge.
Results: The results showed that the legal regulation of the authority of judges to decide sentencing cases from the perspective of proportionality and the principle of justice is regulated in Law No. 48 of 2009 concerning judicial power. Specifically, the authority of judges to decide punishment cases is regulated in Article 183 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The implementation of judges deciding punishment cases at the Batam District Court Class I A. There are various obstacles, namely witness testimony, the absence of witnesses, and conflicts between the panel of judges. These obstacles affect the judge’s decision to punish. However, the efforts of judges to impose punishment are guided by Article 183 of the Criminal Procedure Code. It is recommended that judges or authorities explore the values that live in society in order to realize justice in every decision
The effect of education, training, and promotion on employee performance through job satisfaction in the inspectorate of Tanjungpinang City and Bintan District
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between education, training, and promotion on employee performance, mediated by job satisfaction.
Research methodology: The study utilizes a quantitative research methodology involving survey questionnaires administered to employees in the Inspectorate of Tanjungpinang City and Bintan District.
Results: The results of this study are expected to demonstrate a positive relationship between education, training, promotion, and job satisfaction. It is also anticipated that job satisfaction will mediate the relationship between these variables and employee performance. By identifying the impact of education, training, and promotion on job satisfaction and employee performance, this study aims to provide insights for organizations to improve their human resource management practices and optimize employee performance.
Limitations: Acknowledging constraints, this study recognizes limitations related to the sample size and the geographical scope, impacting the generalizability of the findings. External factors beyond the study's control may introduce variability.
Contribution: This research enriches the scholarly discourse by offering a nuanced understanding of how education, training, and promotion collectively impact employee performance through the lens of job satisfaction. Practical recommendations are provided for organizational stakeholders.

The effect of religiosity and spirituality on financial behavior district
Purpose: This research was conducted on members of KSP Kopdit Permata Bunda Paroki Waelengga. This study aims to determine the effect of religiosity and spirituality on the financial behavior of members of the Kopdit Permata Bunda Paroki Waelengga.
Research methodology: This study uses a quantitative approach using the survey method. The population in this study was all Kopdit Permata Bunda members. Sampling in this study used Simple Random Sampling with a total sample of 100 members. As a primary data source and data collection using a direct survey in the field that was distributed using a questionnaire to KSP Kopdit Permata Bunda Paroki Waelengga members. Data analysis techniques using simple linear regression with the help of SPSS software version 16.0.
Results: The results showed that the religiosity variable had a positive relationship but had no significant effect on the variables of financial behavior, the spirituality variable had a positive relationship but had no significant effect on the variables of financial behavior, and the variable religiosity and spirituality together had a positive relationship but had no effect significant to the variables of financial behaviour
Determinants of youth unemployment in Southern Ethiopia: Evidence from Duna District, Ethiopia
Purpose: Unemployment is a big problem both in developed and less developed countries. This study was aimed at investigating the determinants of youth unemployment in Duna district using cross-sectional survey data gathered in 2020. It is assumed to be a major macroeconomic problem in deriving economic growth and food security. Reducing youth unemployment is crucial to achieving sustainable economic development and alleviating poverty.
Research methodology: Multi-stage sampling methods were developed to select the sample from a given population. Through considering the availability of youth unemployed, six kebeles with a sample youth of 361 were selected. Primary and secondary sources of data were used. Descriptive analysis and binary logistic regression were employed for the data analysis.
Results: The results of binary logit regression revealed that youth unemployment was significantly affected by age, sex, educational status (secondary and higher education), cultivated land size, marital status, credit use, information use, family wealth, infrastructure, work experiences, and migration.
Limitations: This research is limited by the scope, men, and women young unemployed were not equally studied. Without inclusion, women in the studies may not ensure sustainable economic development and alleviate the problem of young unemployment and poverty.
Contribution: Ministry of youth, sports and culture, microfinance institutions, and other concerned bodies should give important attention to youth unemployment which is a major problem in achieving economic growth and alleviating poverty. Reduction in the level of youth unemployment would consequently improve youth income and which in turn improve living standards
Factors affecting depression and suicidal tendency among the students for the educational process
Purpose: This study aims to identify factors that contribute to depression and increase suicidal ideation in students to measure the types of depression among the students. To know the extent of depression they suffered and identify the factors that stimulate suicide.
Research methodology: The study wants to assess the factors that affect depression and suicidal tendencies among the students of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology and MC College, Sylhet. For collecting data, and questionnaire method was followed. The researcher selected 50 samples from both of these institutions. In this study, a mixed research approach has been followed.
Results: The study disclosed that among the respondents, 90% had an idea about depression, and 90% got depression once in their lifetime. They suffered from major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, etc. and suffered from bipolar disorder. Depression has an adverse effect on student's academic life. Besides, 72% said that they need more consciousness about their depression. The study also revealed that 8% are addicted to drugs and alcohol. The study further revealed that 64% thought the severity of depression could lead someone to suicide, and 28% said that they thought about suicide during their depression period.
Limitations: The respondents wanted to keep the truth private in some cases. The researcher may have failed to collect the pros and cons of this issue.

The experiences and challenges of Doctoral Education in Public Universities compared
Purpose: This article’s purpose is to explore the challenges and experiences PhD students in selected Ugandan state universities endure during their studies.
Research methodology: The approach of the research focused on three public universities thus; Kabale University, Makerere University, and Gulu University. To explore these challenges, we undertook an extensive literature review of the external supervisors and evaluations of PhD students who attempted to submit their final dissertations.
Results: The main findings of the results indicate that due to institutional, individual, and supervisory inefficiency, many students who enroll in their PhD programs at these universities are unable to graduate within the given timeframe.
Limitations: The limitations of the study conclude that the problems addressed in this research and the suggestions presented provide the basis for improving university training programs and facilitating students, timely completion of the PhD program.
Contribution: In terms of contribution, this research will improve scholarly writing and publication abilities, in addition to increasing the identity of doctoral education in Uganda. Evidently, there is no substantial work exploring the difficulties and challenges faced by PhD students in Uganda.
Novelty: it is crucial to remember that when pursuing their PhDs, scholars are not just learning about the research topic, but are also developing fundamental skills in critical thinking, to construct their own knowledge within their own indigenous context, it is essential that they acquire the capacity to assess assertions, and evaluate arguments in a critical manner
Trending copy culture of Bangladesh: Brand product perspective
Purpose: This study aims to reveal the copy culture of Bangladesh.
Research methodology: Qualitative research was designed for this study, and an ethnographic approach was used for data collection along with in-depth interviews with copy brand users. The judgmental and snowball sampling methods were used in this study. Semi-structured questionnaires and mostly open-ended questions were designed based on the objectives of this study.
Results: The findings were analyzed under three main themes: Copying Us or copying them, Consumer Subjectivity as individuals, and Fragmented Authenticity.
Limitations: Due to financial and time constraints, this research focused only on the capital city of Dhaka. In the case of broader research, this study can be analyzed in other regions of the country, which will provide a wide range of information regarding copy-culture attitudes.
Contribution: In Bangladesh, people follow foreign trends and famous people’s lifestyles through copy brands. This study defines how and why copying culture encourages people to purchase from the local market. The reason that allures customers to buy replicate products is the availability and affordable price of the product, which is at a time creatively designed likely to match the original version.
Novelty: This study can help others to take decisions based on the findings on copy culture
