A Child-Friendly District is a form of mandatory government affairs that focuses on empowering women and protecting children to ensure every child gets their rights according to the Convention on Children's Rights, as regulated in West Aceh Regent Regulation Number 40 of 2018. This research aims to evaluate the role of the Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Family Planning Service in implementing the Child-Friendly District concept in West Aceh Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. There were six informants for this research. The research results show that implementing the concept of a Child-Friendly District in West Aceh Regency has not been optimal. Based on Biddle and Thomas' theory, the role as a policy has been running optimally, but the role as a strategy and communication tool has not been implemented well. The main obstacles include lacking human resources, facilities, budget, and communication between organizations and activity implementers. Apart from that, the lack of outreach and communication by the Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Family Planning Services means that the public does not fully know the status of the Child-Friendly District in West Aceh Regency. In conclusion, although there are efforts to implement a child-friendly district in West Aceh Regency, improvements are still needed in various aspects to achieve optimal implementation

INCREASING THE CAPACITY OF GREEN TOURISM MANAGEMENT BASED ON MATARAMAN BARN IN BENDUNG VILLAGE, SEMIN, GUNUNGKIDUL, DIY: The community service activity on the implementation of green tourism based on Lumbung Mataraman was carried out in Bendung Village, Semin Subdistrict, Gunungkidul Regency, DIY Province. The main objective of this activity was to create policies to encourage tourists to visit the Lumbung Mataraman educational tourist attraction, which is integrated with green tourism and food security, particularly through the aspects of governance and accommodation. The methods applied in the community service activity included mapping the problems faced and conducting a Focus Group Discussion. The results of the community service activity showed that the management of the Lumbung Mataraman educational tourism site is faced with the reality that tourists still spend very little time enjoying the educational tourism experience, so their spending has not been able to stimulate the local economy. On the accommodation side, the use of residents' homes as guesthouses continues, but improvements are needed to meet tourist comfort standards. The conclusion of this activity is to strengthen the strategic direction of visitor management to optimize tourist interest and the need to improve accommodation quality, such as the suitability of guesthouses. The recommended suggestion is for tourism managers to extend the length of stay of tourists through more effective management and quality accommodation, thereby increasing local economic contributions and strengthening the image of Lumbung Mataraman as a green tourism destination based on local wisdom. Regarding accommodation, managers can maintain service quality to enhance the impression and image of educational tourism among tourists

    Get PDF
This article explores how Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir, a progressive Islamic scholar, integrates the concept of gender equality into education through la nguage and literacy. His works provide an essential framework for understanding how literacy can function as an ethical, dialogical, and transformative tool for social justice. Using a qualitative approach, this study draws on document analysis and in-depth interviews with key informants to examine how Faqihuddin’s mubadalah (reciprocity) framework challenges gender-biased socio-religious narratives and promotes inclusive educational practices. The findings reveal that his writings reconstruct gender representation in educational texts, promote gender-inclusive language, and advocate for literacy as a means of empowerment. Teachers and learners are positioned as partners in a reciprocal learning process, where justice and equality guide interpretation and communication. Ultimately, this study affirms that literacy, when practiced through mubadalah, extends beyond technical reading and writing it becomes a moral act that nurtures empathy, equality, and mutual respect. The research concludes by recommending the integration of gender-sensitive literacy into curricula, teacher training, and educational policy to foster inclusive learning environments that align with both Islamic ethics and global gender justice

    Get PDF
This study explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the "Reading for Emotion" approach to enhance abstract reasoning skills among Indonesian pre-service English teachers at UIN Cyber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. The research addresses a critical issue in teacher education: the necessity for effective strategies that foster deeper comprehension and critical analysis of academic texts. Existing literature emphasizes the role of emotions in learning, indicating that traditional cognitive approaches may overlook essential emotional dimensions. The primary aim of this research is to examine how pre-service English teachers utilize Reading for Emotion and Aesthetics to improve their understanding and critical analysis of academic papers. This aligns with Lian (2017) and Lian (2024) that transformative learning must begin with students reflecting on their relationship with the world, rather than merely performing tasks. Using a qualitative case study method, data were gathered from 10 participants via  questionnaires and  3  informants through interviews throughout the third semester. The findings indicate that emotional engagement significantly enhances students' comprehension and analytical skills, suggesting that understanding emotions is crucial for effective learning. This research contributes to the discourse on innovative pedagogical strategies in teacher education, highlighting the need for further exploration of emotional approaches in academic contexts

AbstractStudying Islamic law certainly cannot be separated from the philosophy of Islamic law. Islamic law, which has always struggled with the realities of the times, has now been able to grow legal products in accordance with the current developments of the times. The focus of study in this research is to try to explain the study of legal philosophy, starting from the understanding of Islamic legal philosophy, the scope of Islamic legal philosophy studies, the urgency of Islamic legal philosophy, the application and operationalization of Islamic legal philosophy, as well as forms or examples of Islamic legal philosophy studies, as well as critics. The research method used in this research is qualitative. The approach used in this research is the socio-legal approach. Then combined with empirical and normative legal approaches. The data collection method used was the literature study method which was then analyzed using the descriptive-analytic method. The Islamic legal philosophy approach is needed for a more in-depth study of Islamic law. In order to realize just law that is always in accordance with the conditions of the times, the study of the philosophy of Islamic law also allows for a thorough understanding of Islam (kaffah) with the linkages and relationships that exist with other religious sciences. Islamic law must be oriented towards maqasid syari'ah, namely human benefit. Any reason cannot be justified if maqasid syari'ah as a legal goal is neglected, even though it has departed from a relatively correct interpretation. Islamic law is not independent, but related to other sciences. Therefore, interdependent relationships in the study of Islamic law are absolutely necessary to produce human-responsive law (fiqh)
