Satisfaction-Mediated Effects of Halal Label, Product Quality, and Islamic Service on Customer Loyalty: Maqasid-Shariah Perspective

    Get PDF
The rapid expansion of Indonesia’s halal food industry highlights the need to understand how halal compliance, product performance, and Islamic ethical values shape consumer behavior, particularly among Generation Z. This study examines the direct and indirect effects of Halal Labeling, Product Quality, and Islamic Service on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty at Richeese Factory Indonesia, employing a mixed methods sequential explanatory design. The quantitative phase involved 100 Generation Z respondents in East Java selected through purposive sampling, with data analyzed using validity and reliability testing, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and the Sobel test. The results indicate that Product Quality and Islamic Service significantly influence Customer Satisfaction, whereas Halal Labeling does not. Customer Satisfaction significantly enhances Customer Loyalty and mediates the effects of Product Quality and Islamic Service but does not mediate the influence of Halal Labeling. The qualitative interpretation, guided by maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, reveals that while halal certification fulfills ḥifẓ al-dīn and is legally mandated by the Halal Product Assurance Law (UU No. 33/2014), loyalty is primarily shaped through ṭayyib product quality (ḥifẓ al-nafs) and ethical service practices (ḥifẓ al-māl). The study underscores the need for integrative halal management that aligns regulatory compliance with experiential value to foster sustainable consumer loyalty. Keywords: Customer Loyalty; Customer Satisfaction; Halal Label; Islamic Services; Product Qualit

This research analyzed the discourse of the statute bill of zakat in the Indonesian Parliament, especially about the relation between zakat and tax. It is important since the implementation of zakat as a tax deduction according to the previous statute is not running well. The tax deduction scenario, for some people, puts the Indonesian muslim into double burden. They ask legislators to accommodate zakat as tax credit in the new statute of zakat. Integrated zakat and tax into one regulation would be a dynamic discourse as both have similarity and differences in several things. Therefore, the aim of this study is to reveal how the discourse happened in the Indonesia Parliament so that they decided to pass the statute of zakat related with zakat and tax. The primary sources used for this paper are the verbatim records of the statute bill of zakat, newspaper from the same period, and interview. The research found that tax credit is not applicable in Indonesia. This paper hopefully contributes to the development of the history of thought of zakat management and the history of public policy of management of zakat in Indonesia

In contrast, modern Arabic criticism has grown into a more scientific and interdisciplinary practice, influenced by Western theories such as structuralism, psychoanalysis, and postcolonialism, with a contextual emphasis on meaning and ideology within literary texts. This study shows that the difference in critical paradigms reflects not only a shift in time periods but also broader cultural and intellectual transformations, making Arabic literary criticism a dynamic and ever-evolving fiel

Eliminating Child Labour in the Digital Era, Climate Change Situation, and Sustainable Business

    Get PDF
Child labour is a stark manifestation of severe social and economic inequality, as well as a reflection of weak social protection systems, limited access to education, and inadequate labour regulations in many countries. Data from the International Labour Organization (ILO) indicate that over 160 million children worldwide are engaged in labour, nearly half of whom are involved in hazardous work that threatens their safety, health, and development. The digital era presents both opportunities and challenges regarding this issue. On the one hand, digital technology can be leveraged to improve access to education, skills training, and the monitoring of fair labour practices. On the other hand, digitalization also creates new forms of employment that are not yet fully regulated by law, opening opportunities for the exploitation of child labour—especially in the informal economy, e-commerce, and online-based domestic industries. Child labour remains a serious challenge amid global changes in the world of work. To respond to this issue effectively in the future, a multidisciplinary approach is needed—one that integrates education, occupational health and safety, social protection, and cross-sector partnerships. By upholding the principles of social justice and the fundamental rights of workers, the world can advance toward the total elimination of child labour in line with the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda

    Get PDF

Idiomatic Expression Errors in EFL Student Writing: A Corpus-Based Study

    No full text
This study investigates EFL learners’ proficiency in using idiomatic expressions within academic writing by employing a corpus-based qualitative approach. Writing journals produced by second-semester students of the English Language Teaching Department (ELTD) at UIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon were analyzed to identify the types, frequency, and accuracy of idiom usage. Semi-structured interviews further explored students’ experiences and sources of idiomatic knowledge. Findings show that idiom acquisition occurs mostly through informal exposure such as social media, while formal instruction remains limited. Seven categories of idiomatic errors were identified: literal translation, lexical substitution, contextual misuse, structural deformation, overgeneralization, incomplete idioms, and collocational clashes. These errors indicate partial comprehension but lack of contextual and structural mastery. The study emphasizes the need for explicit idiom instruction through corpus-guided and genre-based pedagogical practices to improve academic writing fluency.
