    The Use of PowerPoint in Supporting Arabic Language Learning with the ABY Textbook at Ma'had Hidayatullah Kota Batu

    This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of integrating PowerPoint media with the textbook al-‘Arabiyyah Bayna Yadayk (ABY) in Arabic language instruction at Ma’had Hidayatullah Kota Batu. It employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Based on classroom observations, PowerPoint has been found to enhance the delivery of ABY material through visual support such as illustrations, audio elements, and structured dialogues, facilitating the understanding of vocabulary, sentence structures, and communicative contexts. Interactive slides and contextual images also boost student motivation and engagement. Learner responses indicate that this multimedia approach improves comprehension and retention, making the learning process more dynamic and engaging. Theoretically, the study draws on Mayer’s Multimedia Learning theory and the communicative approach to language teaching, which emphasizes practical language use in real-life contexts. Although there are technical challenges, such as dependency on electronic devices and limitations in summarizing long texts, PowerPoint proves effective in fostering active participation and language competence. The study recommends teacher training and the strengthening of technological infrastructure as strategic steps to improve the quality of language learning in Islamic boarding school settings

    Sinergi Hepta Helix untuk Edukasi Perubahan Iklim Berbasis Komunitas di Cirebon

    Cirebon faces severe ecological vulnerability due to the impacts of coal-fired power plants and coastal abrasion, exacerbated by the community’s low level of mitigation literacy (28%). Sectoral responses thus far have been ineffective in strengthening local resilience. This community-engaged research aims to implement the Hepta Helix collaboration model to build a participatory climate education ecosystem. Employing Participatory Action Research (PAR) with an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, the study involves seven key cross-sector actors.The findings indicate a significant shift in social paradigm—from a confrontational deficit mentality to a collaborative asset-based mindset. This synergy successfully orchestrated the roles of each actor and generated concrete innovations such as the institutionalization of the Environmental Verse Tafsir, youth-led digital campaigns, and community-based biopore revitalization. The study concludes that the Hepta Helix collaboration effectively breaks down sectoral ego barriers and strengthens community adaptation capacity at the grassroots level in a sustainable manner

    Muatan Ekologi dalam Bahan Literasi Sekolah Dasar pada Website Kemendikbud: Analisis Korpus

    Masalah lingkungan menjadi perhatian penting belakangan ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui muatan ekologi dalam bahan literasi sekolah dasar pada website Kemendikbud. Data penelitian kualitatif ini berupa 47 buku literasi sekolah dasar tahun 2016 sampai 2019 pada laman Kemendikbud. Analisis data menggunakan metode software korpus berupa AntConc. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi tema-tema ekologi berdasarkan teori Greg Gerrard, seperti: pencemaran, hutan belantara, bencana, tempat tinggal, dan binatang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan muatan ekologi dalam bahan bacaan literasi sekolah didominasi oleh ekologi hutan belantara. Ekologi pencemaran memiliki jumlah sangat rendah. Jumlah dan kualitas bahan bacaan literasi yang mengandung muatan ekologi perlu ditingkatkan agar dapat lebih efektif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai kepedulian lingkungan kepada siswa.Ecological Content in Materials Elementary School Literacy Materials on the Ministry of Education and Culture Website: A Corpus AnalysisEnvironmental issues have become an important concern lately. The purpose of this study was to determine the ecological content in elementary school literacy materials on the Ministry of Education and Culture website. The data for this qualitative study were 47 elementary school literacy books from 2016 to 2019 on the Ministry of Education and Culture page. Data analysis used the corpus software method AntConc. This study evaluated ecological themes based on Greg Gerrard's theory, such as pollution, wilderness, disaster, shelter, and animals. The results showed that the ecological content in school literacy reading materials was dominated by wilderness ecology. Pollution ecology has a very low number. The number and quality of literacy reading materials containing ecological content need to be increased so that they can be more effective in instilling environmental values in students.

    The low leadership spirit of children due to no special learning carried out by the teacher in building the child's leadership spirit. The teacher only does the refraction to the children, such as when they start something, who dares to lead gymnastics, lead prayers, become priests during prayers and the culture of queuing when washing their hands. The purpose of this research is to build children's leadership spirit through cooking class. The research employed is descriptive qualitative.     Pembelajaran berbasis budaya daerah memiliki peranan penting dalam memperkenalkan nilai kearifan lokal. Pendidikan anak usia dini merupakan sebuah wadah dalam menanamkan nilai kearifan lokal dan memperkenalkan budaya daerah bagi anak usia dini, termasuk budaya Cirebon, yang memiliki seni, budaya, dan tradisi yang majemuk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pembelajaran budaya Cirebon di satuan PAUD, yang terdiri dari strategi, metode, media, serta hambatan yang dihadapi oleh pendidik dalam mengintegrasikan pembelajaran budaya lokal ke dalam kurikulum. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket dengan jumlah responden 24 dari 15 sekolah di Cirebon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran budaya Cirebon sudah dilakukan di seluruh satuan PAUD, namun belum secara intens dilakukan. Hal tersebit dikarenakan beberapa hambatan yang terjadi seperti halnya kurangnya minat anak, kurangnya sumber daya manusia, serta kurangnya media dalam mengimplementasikan budaya Cirebon. Jenis-jenis budaya Cirebon yang dikenalkan pada anak antara lain tari tradisional, makanan khas, sejarah, bahasa, dan pariwisata Cirebon. Media yang digunakan dalam memperkenalkan budaya Cirebon yakni melalui internet, poster, buku, gambar, video, dan studi wisata. Dengan demikian, diperlukan dukungan dari berbagai pihak, termasuk pemerintah, akademisi, dan Masyarakat dalam penguatan pendidikan berbasis budaya daerah di satuan PAUD

    Metode Pendidikan dalam Al-Qur'an dan Hadis: Implementasi dalam Konteks Pendidikan Modern

    This study aims to examine the educational methods found in the Qur'an and Hadith, as well as the approaches used by the Prophet Muhammad in the learning process and character development of the Muslim community. This research employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach, collecting and analyzing various Qur'anic verses and Hadith related to education. The findings indicate that Islamic educational methods encompass various approaches, such as the dialogue and question-and-answer method, the exemplary method (uswah hasanah), storytelling, direct practice (learning by doing), and the method of repetition and habituation. The Prophet Muhammad implemented these methods with wisdom and gentleness, adapting his approach to the conditions and needs of his people. The study concludes that education in Islam is not solely focused on knowledge transfer but also on building character, morality, and spirituality. The educational methods exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) remain highly relevant in modern educational contexts, serving as a valuable guide for Muslim educators in designing effective learning systems aligned with Islamic values

    Development of a Supplementary Geometry Book Integrating Realistic Mathematics Education and Reog Ponorogo Ethnomathematics to Improve Elementary Students’ Numeracy Literacy

    AbstractThis study presents the development of a supplementary geometry book for elementary students by integrating Reog Ponorogo ethnomathematics into the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach to enhance numeracy literacy. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Validation instruments involved expert evaluations in content, pedagogy, media, and language, alongside practicality questionnaires and numeracy literacy assessments. The developed book achieved high validity across expert domains: 89.8% (content), 91% (media), 94% (learning), and 90% (language). Student response also indicated high practicality (82.3%). A one-sample t-test and N-gain analysis showed a significant improvement in numeracy literacy, with an N-gain score of 0.6461 (categorized as moderate), reflecting a “quite effective” level. These findings suggest that incorporating ethnomathematical elements from local culture within an RME framework can provide meaningful, contextual learning experiences and foster mathematical understanding in early-grade students.Keywords: supplementary books, realistic mathematics education, ethnomathematics, numeracy literacy.AbstrakPenelitian ini menyajikan pengembangan buku suplemen geometri untuk siswa sekolah dasar dengan mengintegrasikan etnomatematika Reog Ponorogo ke dalam pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik (RME) untuk meningkatkan literasi numerasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, Evaluasi). Instrumen validasi melibatkan evaluasi ahli dalam konten, pedagogi, media, dan bahasa, di samping kuesioner praktikalitas dan penilaian literasi numerasi. Buku yang dikembangkan mencapai validitas tinggi di seluruh domain ahli: 89,8% (konten), 91% (media), 94% (pembelajaran), dan 90% (bahasa). Respon siswa juga menunjukkan kepraktisan tinggi (82,3%). Uji-t satu sampel dan analisis N-gain menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam literasi numerasi, dengan skor N-gain sebesar 0,6461 (dikategorikan sebagai sedang), yang mencerminkan tingkat "cukup efektif". Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa menggabungkan unsur-unsur etnomatematika dari budaya lokal dalam kerangka RME dapat memberikan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna dan kontekstual serta menumbuhkan pemahaman matematika pada siswa kelas awal.Kata kunci: buku suplemen, realistic mathematics education, etnomatematika, literasi numerasi

    RITUALISASI QUR’ANI DALAM TRADISI LOKAL: Transformasi Ruwatan Santri di Desa Kedungasri, Banyuwangi, dalam Perspektif Tindakan Sosial Weberian

    This study examines the process of Qur’anic ritualization within Javanese local tradition by exploring the practice of ruwatan santri in Kedungasri Village, Banyuwangi. This ritual represents a transformation of the classical ruwatan—rooted in wayang narratives and mystical incantations—into a Qur’an-centered practice, while still retaining its Javanese cosmological framework. Employing the living Qur’an approach and Max Weber’s theory of social action, this research analyzes the community’s motivations in performing ruwatan santri, which are classified into traditional, affective, instrumental-rational, and value-rational actions. The findings reveal that ruwatan santri is perceived as: (1) an act of preserving cultural heritage; (2) a means of seeking divine blessing and inner peace; and (3) a religious instrument to ward off misfortune. In this context, the Qur’an is positioned not merely as a normative text, but as a living spiritual entity embedded in socio-cultural practices. This study highlights that Islamization at the local level unfolds through a dialogical and integrative process between sacred text and tradition, producing a distinctive form of Islamic expression. Its scholarly novelty lies in integrating Weberian social theory with living Qur’an studies in analyzing Islamic rituals within non-Arab Muslim societies. Penelitian ini mengkaji proses ritualisasi al-Qur’an dalam tradisi lokal Jawa dengan menelaah praktik ruwatan santri di Desa Kedungasri, Banyuwangi. Tradisi ini merupakan transformasi dari ritual ruwatan yang berakar pada narasi pewayangan dan mantera mistik menjadi praktik religius berbasis bacaan al-Qur’an, tanpa meninggalkan kerangka kosmologi Jawa. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan living Qur’an dan teori tindakan sosial Max Weber, penelitian ini menganalisis motivasi masyarakat dalam melaksanakan ruwatan santri, yang diklasifikasikan ke dalam tindakan tradisional, afektif, rasional-instrumental, dan rasional-nilai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ruwatan santri dipahami sebagai: (1) bentuk pelestarian budaya warisan; (2) upaya pencarian keberkahan dan ketenangan batin; serta (3) instrumen religius untuk menolak bala. Dalam konteks ini, al-Qur’an diposisikan bukan sekadar teks normatif, melainkan entitas spiritual yang hidup dalam praktik sosial budaya masyarakat. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa Islamisasi di tingkat lokal berlangsung melalui proses integratif yang dialogis antara teks suci dan tradisi, sehingga menghadirkan bentuk ekspresi keislaman yang khas.     Transformation of Islamic Aesthetic Symbols in Contemporary Da’wah Media: a Hermeneutic Review of Gadamer and Ricoeur

    This research analyses how contemporary da’wah art reinterprets Islamic aesthetics through a dialectic between traditional symbols and digital visual innovation. Using the hermeneutic approach of Hans-Georg Gadamer and Paul Ricoeur, this study explores the dynamics of meaning that emerge from the interaction between Islamic visual texts and the modern socio-cultural context. Data were obtained through observation of digital-based da’wah artworks and visual documentation on various media platforms, then analysed using the fusion of horizons and interpretative arc models. The results show that symbols such as calligraphy, geometry, and arabesque have transformed meaning through the digital medium without losing their theological value. This reinterpretation not only expands the aesthetic horizons of da’wah but also increases the relevance of Islamic messages for the digital generation. However, integrating artistic form and theological constraints remains a significant challenge in maintaining authenticity. This study emphasises the importance of collaboration between artists, scholars, and academics to develop innovative, communicative, and spiritually valid models of da’wah art

    Internally, SWOT analysis of the six environmental study programs of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab has the support of young lecturers who have scientific qualifications in accordance with the peculiarities of the study program. This makes it easier to implement technology-based learning interactively with students. The students who study in the study program at the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab are dominated by the Ciayumajakuning area, with the origin of madrasah schools and Islamic boarding schools. Graduates of study programs at the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab work and have careers in various segments of the world of work with an average waiting period of less than six months. This kind of condition needs to be improved in five aspects of quality improvement, namely the Organization and Management Sector, Education and Student Affairs, Research and Community Service, Institutional Cooperation and Support Sector. These five aspects of quality improvement are carried out in the form of improvement and development strategies such as carrying out Internal Quality Audits in an accountable and database-based manner, sending lecturer delegations to scientific associations (National and International), publishing lecturer-student collaboration journals, intensifying models and cooperation from the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to the orientation of the Memorandum of Action (MoA), organizing the Fostered Village program
