    Peranan Perguruan Tinggi Islam dalam Melestarikan Ilmu Qiraat di Sumatera Barat

    ABSTRAK: Ilmu Qiraat merupakan salah satu disiplin ilmu al-Qur’an yang memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga keaslian bacaan al-Qur’an. Di tengah arus modernisasi dan berkurangnya minat generasi muda terhadap kajian klasik, keberlanjutan Ilmu Qiraat menghadapi berbagai macam tantangan. Perguruan tinggi Islam sebagai pusat pengembangan keilmuan memiliki tanggung jawab strategis dalam melestarikan dan mengembangkan ilmu ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peranan perguruan tinggi Islam di Sumatera Barat dalam menjaga eksistensi dan keberlanjutan ilmu Qiraat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap kurikulum, kegiatan akademik, serta program pembinaan Qiraat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Perguruan Tinggi Islam berperan aktif melalui integrasi mata kuliah Qiraat dalam kurikulum, pembinaan mahasiswa melalui halaqah dan penyelenggaraan pelatihan Qiraat, serta kerja sama dengan pesantren dan lembaga keagamaan. Selain itu, Perguruan Tinggi Islam juga berfungsi sebagai pusat kaderisasi qari dan pecinta Ilmu Qir’at yang berkompeten. Dengan demikian, Perguruan Tinggi Islam memiliki peran strategis dalam melestarikan ilmu Qiraat di Sumatera Barat, baik melalui pendidikan formal, kegiatan nonformal, maupun pengabdian kepada masyarakat. ABSTRACT: The science of Qiraat is one of the core disciplines of Qur’anic studies and plays a crucial role in preserving the authenticity of Qur’anic recitation. Amid the currents of modernization and the declining interest of younger generations in classical Islamic scholarship, the sustainability of Qiraat studies faces various challenges. Islamic higher education institutions, as centers for intellectual and scholarly development, bear a strategic responsibility in preserving and advancing this discipline. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic higher education institutions in West Sumatra in maintaining the existence and continuity of the science of Qiraat. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation studies of curricula, academic activities, and Qiraat development programs. The findings indicate that Islamic higher education institutions play an active role through the integration of Qiraat courses into the curriculum, the mentoring of students through halaqah-based learning and the organization of Qira’at training programs, as well as collaboration with pesantren and religious institutions. Furthermore, these institutions function as centers for the regeneration of competent qāriʾ and scholars dedicated to the science of Qiraat. Thus, Islamic higher education institutions hold a strategic role in preserving the science of Qiraat in West Sumatra through formal education, non-formal activities, and community engagement

    Telaah Empiris-Positivistik Auguste Comte terhadap Fenomena Dispensasi Nikah di Indonesia

    ABSTRAK: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fenomena dispensasi nikah di Indonesia melalui perspektif empiris-positivistik Auguste Comte, guna memberikan pemahaman ilmiah yang objektif terhadap dinamika sosial-hukum yang berkembang pasca perubahan batas usia perkawinan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah praktik dispensasi nikah sebagai realitas sosial-hukum yang tercermin dalam putusan Pengadilan Agama, statistik perkara Badan Peradilan Agama, serta regulasi hukum terkait. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dengan landasan positivistik, melalui pengumpulan data empiris institusional yang dianalisis menggunakan teknik observasi, klasifikasi, analisis pola, serta hubungan sebab–akibat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) positivisme Auguste Comte menyediakan kerangka epistemologis yang menempatkan fakta empiris sebagai sumber pengetahuan yang sah, dengan kebenaran diuji melalui konsistensi dan keterulangan data; (2) fenomena dispensasi nikah di Indonesia merupakan realitas sosial-hukum yang objektif dan terstruktur, ditandai oleh pola peningkatan, stabilisasi, dan variasi kasus yang dapat diukur lintas wilayah dan waktu; serta (3) telaah positivistik menegaskan bahwa dispensasi nikah berfungsi sebagai mekanisme keteraturan sosial yang lahir dari interaksi antara norma hukum dan kondisi sosial yang konkret. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan pendekatan empiris dalam kajian hukum keluarga agar analisis kebijakan lebih berbasis data dan realitas sosial.ABSTRACT: This article aims to analyze the phenomenon of marriage dispensation in Indonesia through the empirical-positivistic perspective of Auguste Comte, in order to provide an objective scientific understanding of the socio-legal dynamics that have developed following changes to the minimum age of marriage. The subject of this research is the practice of marriage dispensation as a socio-legal reality reflected in Religious Court decisions, case statistics from the Directorate General of Religious Courts, and relevant legal regulations. The research employs a qualitative-descriptive method grounded in a positivistic approach, using institutional empirical data analyzed through observation, classification, pattern analysis, and causal relationships. The findings indicate that (1) Auguste Comte’s positivism provides an epistemological framework that positions empirical facts as the sole legitimate source of knowledge, with truth verified through data consistency and recurrence; (2) the phenomenon of marriage dispensation in Indonesia constitutes an objective and structured socio-legal reality, as evidenced by measurable patterns of increase, stabilization, and variation in cases across regions and time; and (3) a positivistic analysis confirms that marriage dispensation functions as a mechanism of social order arising from the interaction between legal norms and concrete social conditions. This study recommends the adoption of empirical approaches in family law studies to ensure that policy analysis is more firmly grounded in data and social reality

    Suara Anak-Anak dalam Rumah Tangga Kolonial: Surat-Surat Putra-Putri Indo-Pribumi Snouck Hurgronje (1906-1908)

    This paper attempts to examine letters written by the children of Dutch colonial officials and renowned Islamic scholar Christiaan Snouck Hurgronje, who lived in Ciamis from 1906 to 1908, as a primary source for exploring and understanding the emotional dimensions, experiences, and identities of Indo-Native children within the colonial family system. Unlike previous studies that focused on Snouck's travels and intellectual and political contributions or the impact of his colonial policies, this paper attempts to highlight the domestic and emotional dimensions of Snouck and his family in the Dutch East Indies through an epistolary analysis and microhistory approach.  Analysis of these letters reveals at least several main themes, including longing for a father who has left his wife and children, expressions of obedience and politeness characteristic of Sundanese-Ciamis culture, education as a path to social mobility, economic dependence on the colonial father figure, and the negotiation of children's identities in the context of mixed families. These letters also show how colonialism worked in the domestic sphere through emotional, economic, and cultural relationships between fathers and their children. A significant contribution of this research is its effort to enrich Indonesian colonial historiography by presenting the voices of children, which rarely appear in official colonial archives, and showing that the experience of mixed families can be an important lens for understanding colonialism from a more human and personal perspective

    Dai Multi-Competence: Implementation of Da'wah Bil-Hal For Preaching Activities in Rural Society Environments

    At this time, there are more and more challenges in da'wah activities. Da'wah is not enough through the pulpit and media sharing. People in rural and remote areas still have problems, including education and economic issues. Direct and intensive guidance from a da'i is very much needed by the community. This study aims to produce an applicable approach for da'wah activities in rural and remote communities in Indonesia. The research data was obtained through interviews and direct observation in the field. A descriptive qualitative research approach was used, with Miles and Huberman's analysis method. This research produced the concept of a multi-competent da'i, whose competencies include the following. First, religious competence, including the Quran, hadith and Islamic studies as the scientific basis that must be possessed. Second, social competencies include cupping therapy, ruqyah, and self-defence. Third, economic empowerment competencies include agriculture and animal husbandry. These findings imply that the activities of da'i must directly touch the community with various activities that must be mastered, not merely delivering religious messages to the community. More than that, a da'i must have complex competencies, especially since the target of these da'wah activities is the community in rural and remote areas or segments of society that are isolated from technology. This paper has limited scope, so further research is needed to provide more interesting and relevant studies related to da'wah bil-hal for rural communities in Indonesia

    DINAMIKA KOMUNIKASI PUBLIK: CANCEL CULTURE DAN FIGUR AGAMA DI MEDIA SOSIAL

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami dinamika komunikasi dalam praktik cancel culture terhadap tokoh agama, dengan fokus pada bagaimana wacana publik terbentuk, disebarkan, dan dimaknai dalam konteks media sosial. Kasus viral Gus Miftah digunakan sebagai contoh untuk melihat bagaimana komentar, tagar, dan narasi publik menciptakan tekanan moral yang memengaruhi persepsi terhadap otoritas religius di ruang digital. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini menerapkan Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) Fairclough serta teori mediatisasi agama dan konvergensi simbolik. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi daring pada twitter/X, tikTok, instagram, dan portal berita, dengan 100 item digital sebagai sumber analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cancel culture bekerja melalui lima kategori wacana utama: kritik moral, seruan boikot, satire, delegitimasi simbolik, dan komentar netral. Bahasa yang digunakan publik mencerminkan afeksi kolektif yang membentuk solidaritas moral baru, sementara algoritma platform memperkuat wacana dominan melalui visibilitas dan viralitas. Temuan menegaskan adanya pergeseran legitimasi dari institusi religius menuju komunitas digital yang lebih partisipatif. Implikasi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tokoh agama semakin bergantung pada logika media dan persepsi publik dalam menjaga kredibilitas. Studi ini berkontribusi pada bidang komunikasi dan kajian media digital, terutama pada pemahaman mengenai transformasi otoritas moral di era digital.     MANAJEMEN DAKWAH PONDOK PESANTREN QURROTA AYUN CONDET DALAM PENGEMBANGAN KEWIRAUSAHAAN DI ERA DISRUPSI

    Era disrupsi digital telah mengubah lanskap pendidikan Islam, termasuk pondok pesantren, yang dituntut untuk beradaptasi agar tetap relevan dan berdaya saing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manajemen dakwah Pondok Pesantren Qurrota Ayun Condet dalam mengembangkan kewirausahaan santri sebagai upaya membangun kemandirian ekonomi sekaligus memperkuat peran dakwah Islam di era disrupsi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara tematik dengan teknik triangulasi sumber dan member checking untuk menjaga validitas hasil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen dakwah Pondok Pesantren Qurrota Ayun Condet menerapkan strategi terencana dalam pengembangan kewirausahaan yang meliputi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, serta evaluasi berbasis digital. Pesantren mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islami dalam kegiatan usaha dan program dakwah, seperti kejujuran, amanah, dan tanggung jawab, sehingga kewirausahaan menjadi media dakwah bil hal dan pembentukan karakter santri. Program dakwah unggulan yang dikembangkan meliputi dakwah ekonomi melalui unit usaha kreatif, koperasi pesantren, jasa laundry, dan produksi konten digital dakwah. Implementasi teknologi informasi, kolaborasi dengan pemerintah dan sektor swasta, serta pembelajaran berbasis praktik menjadi faktor utama keberhasilan program dakwah dan kewirausahaan. Namun demikian, tantangan masih dihadapi, seperti keterbatasan SDM, modal, dan adaptasi teknologi.     Forming Excellent Teachers: Integration of Social Competence and Makārim Al-Sharī'ah Ethics in Madrasahs

    This research aims to construct how the integration of social competence and ethics of Makārim Al-Syarī'ah can form excellent teachers in the environment at MAN 2 Pekanbaru City. This research uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods. The informants in this study amounted to three people, namely the head of curriculum, PAI teacher, and head of student affairs, who were selected using purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research shows that the ethics of Makārim Al-Syarī’ah can be integrated into social competence to form superior teachers and become a strong foundation for madrasah teachers in developing interaction skills that are oriented towards creating benefits. Although, some teachers still have a basic understanding and have not received adequate training related to the integration of Makārim Al-Syarī’ah ethics in social competence. The head of curriculum proposed that the ethical values of Makārim Al-Syarī’ah become part of the teacher's personality to improve competence in interaction. The PAI teacher emphasized the importance of good communication with parents to create effective collaboration in solving student problems. The head of student affairs emphasized that the ethics of Makārim Al-Syarī’ah includes spiritual values, norms, and emotional values that must be applied in learning. The study recommends a regular training program for teachers on the application of Makārim Al-Syarī’ah ethics in teaching practice, creating a structured communication guide between teachers and parents, and establishing a periodic evaluation system to ensure teachers play their role as effective role models in shaping student character.Keywords: Excellent Teacher, teacher professionalism, Makarim Al-syari'a

    The Instructional Media Development of Digital Pop-Up Book PowerPoint in Islamic Religion Education and Character Subject at The Vocational High School

    Pop-Up Book Digital is an electronic learning media developed from PowerPoint software. Pop-Up Book Digital is modeled into a digital media that when operated displays a 3-dimensional structure resembling a book. The digital Pop-Up Book PowerPoint media model is developed to address the low interest in learning and student interaction in Islamic Education (PAI) due to less engaging media. This product is also in line with the vision and mission of SMK 2 Pancasila Jember, which emphasizes character building, especially the value of tolerance, and supports teachers in presenting relevant learning media in the digital era.. Based on the results of the validation test and response test, this Pop-Up Book Digital product was declared very interesting, very practical and suitable for use as a learning medium. In this study, researchers developed a PowerPoint learning media product using the Pop-Up Book Digital model for Islamic Religious Education and Ethics subjects for class XI of SMK Negeri 2 Pancasila Jember. The type of research used is research and development (R&D) with the Planning, Production, Evaluation (PPE) stages developed by Richey and Klein. The validity test was carried out by three expert validators, namely, one expert validator for learning media and two expert validators for material. The product response test was carried out on PAI teachers and class XII Marketing students in 2024-2025. The results of the teacher response test obtained a score of 98%, while the small-scale student response test and the large-scale student response test obtained average scores of 86.60%, all categorized as "Very Good."     The Transformation of Ecosufistic Values in Character Education at SMPIT Al Uswah Tuban: A Field Study Inspired by Jalaluddin Rumi’s Matsnawi

    This study aims to explore how ecosufistic values found in Matsnawi are transformed into character education practices at SMPIT Al Uswah Tuban. The study adopts a qualitative interpretive approach with a descriptive-exploratory design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation, then analyzed thematically using an educational hermeneutic framework to interpret the school's implementation of ecosufistic values. Findings indicate that core ecosufistic principles such as harmony between humans and nature, ontological unity of all creation, and ecological balance are embedded within the school's spiritual routines, teacher modeling, and reflective learning processes. The use of Matsnawi’s narratives and symbols enhances students’ ecological awareness and fosters a spiritually grounded transformation of character. This study has an impact on the development of an Islamic character-education model based on ecosufism that is not only spiritually meaningful but also pedagogically relevant for addressing today’s ecological challenges. In addition, it provides practical contributions for curriculum developers, educators, and policymakers to integrate classical Islamic texts as a profound source of ecological ethics, thereby fostering sustainable ecological awareness among younger generations.Keywords: Ecosufism, Islamic Character Education, Matsnawi, Sufistic Pedagogy, Ecological Ethics, Spiritual Ecolog

    Community-Based Strategies in Islamic Religious Education (PAI): Fostering Youth Religious Character Formation through Majelis Taklim

    Adolescents today face serious challenges to their religious identity due to globalization, cultural shifts, and the influx of values that often contradict Islamic teachings. This study addresses the gap in research on non-formal Islamic education by examining how Majelis Taklim can contribute to fostering youth religious character. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation with adolescent participants, instructors, and community members at Majelis Taklim Miftahussalam in Kedung Jaya, Tanah Sareal, Bogor City. The findings reveal that learning strategies applied in this setting include interactive lectures and discussions, the wetonan method, practical demonstrations, provision of relevant materials, exemplary role modeling by ustadz, the integration of social media for da’wah, regular evaluations, and collaboration with families. These strategies have proven effective in strengthening adolescents’ religious character, as reflected in increased prayer discipline, Qur’an reading and memorization, respectful communication, and greater responsibility in learning, suggesting that community-based Islamic education can complement formal schooling in addressing contemporary challenges.. Keywords: Islamic Religious Education; Learning Strategies; Religious Character; Non-Formal Education; Majelis Takli
