Kolonialisme Dan Budaya Populer: Potret Marketing Selebritis Di Hindia Belanda Era 1930-1940
The colonial government's propaganda of modern and western culture not only changed lifestyles, but also influenced various aspects from education, social relations, domestic life, to perspectives on identity and gender. This internalization of western values was spread through media such as newspapers, posters, films, advertisements, textbooks, and literary works. The purpose of this study is to identify the transformation and internalization of popular culture in the Dutch East Indies through product marketing strategies through celebrity popularity in the Dutch East Indies and see a comparison of celebrity marketing techniques from the colonial era to the modern era. This research shows that the Bumiputera middle class in Batavia accepted elements of western culture as globalization spread. The colonial government's branding strategy was closely linked to the development of print media at the time, where classified ads frequently appeared and celebrities were utilized to attract public attention. the appearance and lifestyle of celebrities, especially women, reflected social values influenced by colonialism. for example, miss Riboet's name was associated with powder products, and Roekiah became an advertising star after her success in the film Terang Boelan. Although the practice of celebrity marketing has existed since the colonial era, the difference with the present is obvious, especially due to the rapid development of technology and the use of the internet
MENGURAI STEREOTIP PEREMPUAN JAWA DALAM FILM YUNI MELALUI SEMIOTIKA ROLAND BARTHES
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap makna denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos. Dalam representasi stereotip perempuan Jawa melalui film Yuni. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan metode analisis semiotika Roland Barthes, penelitian ini menganalisis simbolisme film dalam tiga tingkatan makna. Data diperoleh melalui teknik observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa film Yuni merepresentasikan stereotip perempuan dalam budaya Jawa melalui tiga lapisan makna. Makna denotatif menggambarkan peran perempuan dalam ranah domestik. Makna konotatif menyoroti keberanian tokoh Yuni dalam melawan norma tradisional, terutama terkait penolakan lamaran yang mengaitkan moralitas dengan keperawanan. Sementara itu, makna mitos mencerminkan ideologi patriarki yang menguatkan kontrol sosial terhadap perempuan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa film Yuni tidak hanya menggambarkan realitas sosial tetapi juga menjadi media kritik terhadap ideologi patriarki dalam budaya Jawa. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa film dapat menjadi media penting untuk mengkritisi dan mengungkapkan secara kritis mengenai konstruksi sosial patriarki dalam budaya Jawa. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa film bukan hanya merefleksikan realitas sosial namun dapat juga berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap dukungan adanya kesetaraan gender, yang dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi kajian gender, budaya serta komunikasi massa
Developing Children's Creative Skills Through Community Service Program at TPA Majelis Ta'lim Al Ishlah South Jakarta
Creative skills have an important role in creating critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The method used in this service is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which involves the stages of problem identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This activity includes the application of the Iqro method to teach the Qur'an, as well as handicraft and hydroponic cultivation practices, which aim to increase children's creativity and innovation. The results of these activities show a significant improvement in Qur'anic comprehension and practical skills among participants, as well as increasing their enthusiasm in learning. It is hoped that this program can be a reference for the community and other majelis-ta'lim
Integration of Arabic Language Education and Islamic Religious Education in the Era of Globalization and Disruption: A Systematic Review of Literature on Curriculum Models, Innovations, and Transformations (2013–2025)
The era of globalization and disruption necessitates the integration of Arabic Language Education (PBA) and Islamic Religious Education (PAI) within a value-based curriculum aligned with 21st-century competencies. This article systematically reviews scientific literature on curriculum integration models, innovations, and transformations of PBA–PAI from 2013 to 2025. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, 82 articles were analyzed from databases such as Scopus, WoS, DOAJ, and Garuda. The findings reveal three major integration models: thematic-integrative, interdisciplinary, and structural-integrative. Educational innovations include LMS, AI-based chatbots, flipped classrooms, and gamification of Islamic values. The curriculum transformation moves toward a transdisciplinary approach, emphasizing contextual learning and character building. This study concludes that integrating PBA–PAI is both an educational and philosophical strategy relevant to strengthening students' religious and linguistic competencies. The results serve as a foundation for policy formulation and further research on integration effectiveness
Determinants of Financial Performance on Islamic Banks in ASEAN for Period 2019-2023
Islamic banks in ASEAN have a strategic role in supporting regional economic stability, but they also face various challenges in managing risks that can affect their financial performance. This study aims to analyze the determinants of the financial performance of Islamic banks in ASEAN, especially the influence of financing risk, liquidity risk, and capital adequacy on Return on Assets (ROA) as an indicator of financial performance. This study uses a purposive sampling method with a sample of five Islamic banks in ASEAN, namely Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, Amanah Islamic Bank Philippines, Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, and Bank Islamic Thailand, using annual data for the 2019-2023 period. The analysis was carried out with a panel data regression model using the EViews 10 program. The independent variables in this study include financing risk (NPF), liquidity risk (FDR), and capital adequacy (CAR). The results showed that partially, FDR had a significant negative influence on ROA with a value of Sig. 0.04 < 0.05, while NPF showed a positive significant influence with a value of Sig. 0.00 < 0.05. In contrast, CAR had no significant effect on ROA with a value of Sig. 0.5651 > 0.05. Simultaneously, FDR, NPF and CAR have a significant effect on the ROA of Islamic Banks in ASEAN for the 2019-2023 period.Keywords: Liquidity Risk (FDR), Financing Risk (NPF), Capital Adequacy (CAR), Financial Performance, Islamic Banks, ASEAN
Studi Meta-Analisis Dampak Penggunaan Vidio Pembelajaran Terhadap Peserta Didik
This study aims to analyze the impact of using video media on the effectiveness learning through a meta-analysis approach. Data were collected from 10 relevant previous studies to identify patterns and trends in the use of video media as a learning aid. The analysis results indicate that video media has a significant positive impact on students' learning outcomes. The average pretest score before using video media was 55.75%, while the average posttest score increased significantly to 86.33%. Additionally, student attendance rates increased by 30.25%, suggesting that video media not only enhances conceptual understanding but also boosts learning motivation. These findings confirm that integrating video media into learning can make the learning process more interactive, engaging, and effective, thereby supporting the improvement of religious education quality at various levels
Students' Perceptions of JASP Use and Its Impact on Statistics Learning: A TAM-Based Study
This study aims to analyze the influence of students' perceptions regarding the use of the JASP application and its relationship to statistics learning outcomes through the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. The four main TAM constructs analyzed include perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude toward use, and behavioral intention to use. This research employed a quantitative associative method using simple and multiple linear regression analyses. The sample consisted of 90 fourth-semester PGSD UNM students who had completed a statistics course, selected through simple random sampling. The results indicate that three out of the four perception variables—perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and attitude toward use—significantly influenced students’ learning outcomes, with attitude toward use emerging as the strongest predictor. In contrast, behavioral intention to use did not show a significant effect. The multiple regression model revealed that the four TAM constructs collectively explained 55.7% of the variance in learning outcomes. These findings affirm that students’ positive perceptions of JASP have a tangible impact on academic achievement and support the effectiveness of the application as a learning tool for statistics in the PGSD context
Pengaruh Buku Cerita Bergambar pada Keterampilan Menulis Karangan Narasi Siswa Sekolah Dasar
Siswa masih menghadapi kesulitan dalam mengikuti aturan bahasa dan struktur yang tepat untuk penulisan karangan narasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi akar permasalahan tersebut dan berupaya mencari solusi dengan penggunaan buku cerita bergambar. Penelitian menggunakan desain nonequivalent control group design dengan pretes dan postes pada siswa kelas 5 SDN Purwoyoso 03 Kota Semarang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2024/2025 melalui wawancara dan tes. Pertanyaan wawancara terkait kendala dalam penulisan karangan narasi siswa. Adapun instrumen tes yang digunakan berupa unjuk kerja, yakni menulis karangan narasi. Tes ini untuk mengukur keterampilan siswa dalam menulis teks narasi dengan memperhatikan struktur, kesesuaian isi, kaidah bahasa, penggunaan kosakata, serta gaya penulisan. Kebenaran instrumen melalui triangulasi teori, metode, dan sumber serta penilaian oleh ahli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas kontrol mengalami peningkatan rerata sebesar 25 poin (dari 44,23 menjadi 69,23) sedangkan kelas eksperimen meningkat lebih besar, yaitu 30,58 poin (dari 50,96 menjadi 81,54). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan yang diberikan pada kelas eksperimen lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dibandingkan dengan metode diskusi yang digunakan di kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa buku cerita bergambar berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menulis narasi siswa sekolah dasar. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui beberapa temuan kunci: (1) siswa yang menggunakan buku cerita bergambar menunjukkan peningkatan lebih tinggi dalam menulis narasi dibandingkan kelas kontrol; (2) gambar dalam buku cerita berfungsi sebagai stimulus visual yang memudahkan siswa dalam mengorganisasi alur cerita secara sistematis, mengekspresikan ide dan imajinasi, dan meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan emosional. Oleh karena itu, guru dapat mengembangkan buku cerita bergambar dengan tema beragam dan konteka lokal dalam pembelajaran menulis. The Influence of Picture Story Books on Elementary School Students' Narrative Writing SkillsStudents still face difficulties in following the correct language and structure rules for writing narrative essays. This study aims to identify the root of this problem and seek solutions through the use of picture storybooks. The study used a nonequivalent control group design with a pretest and posttest on fifth-grade students of SDN Purwoyoso 03, Semarang City. Data collection was conducted in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year through interviews and tests. Interview questions related to obstacles in writing narrative essays. The test instrument used was a performance test, namely writing narrative essays. This test measures students' skills in writing narrative texts by paying attention to structure, content appropriateness, language rules, vocabulary use, and writing style. The validity of the instrument was through triangulation of theories, methods, and sources as well as expert assessment. The results showed that the control class experienced an average increase of 25 points (from 44.23 to 69.23) while the experimental class increased more, namely 30.58 points (from 50.96 to 81.54). This shows that the treatment given to the experimental class is more effective in improving learning outcomes compared to the discussion method used in the control class. Based on the results of data analysis, this study concludes that picture story books have a positive effect on improving elementary school students' narrative writing skills. This is proven through several key findings: (1) students who use picture story books show higher improvements in narrative writing than the control class; (2) pictures in story books function as visual stimuli that make it easier for students to organize the storyline systematically, express ideas and imagination, and increase motivation and emotional involvement. Therefore, teachers can develop picture story books with diverse themes and local contexts in writing learning
Pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia
Pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) menjadi semakin relevan di tengah dinamika keberagaman budaya dalam pendidikan, termasuk di Indonesia. Namun, penerapannya dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia masih relatif jarang dikaji secara mendalam, terutama dibandingkan dengan mata pelajaran lain seperti sains dan matematika. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pendekatan CRT dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 5 Seunagan, Kabupaten Nagan Raya, Aceh. Studi ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui teknik observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam, serta analisis dokumen. Subjek penelitian mencakup satu orang guru Bahasa Indonesia dan siswa kelas VIII.3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perencanaan pembelajaran berbasis CRT telah dilakukan dengan sangat baik. Hal ini ditunjukkan melalui integrasi budaya lokal ke dalam modul ajar dan keterpaduan dengan nilai-nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila; (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran berlangsung secara inklusif. Hal ini dapat diketahui dengan guru memberi ruang bagi siswa untuk berbagi pengalaman budaya serta memanfaatkan media berbasis budaya lokal; dan (3) evaluasi pembelajaran dilakukan melalui metode proyek yang memungkinkan ekspresi kreatif siswa dalam konteks budaya. Namun demikian, keterlibatan siswa dalam merumuskan kriteria penilaian masih terbatas. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan CRT berkontribusi positif terhadap terciptanya pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yang lebih kontekstual, inklusif, dan bermakna. Hasil penelitian ini berimplikasi pada pentingnya pelatihan CRT bagi guru Bahasa Indonesia serta perlunya dukungan pengembangan modul ajar berbasis kearifan lokal dari pemerintah. Selain itu, perencanaan remedial dan evaluasi yang lebih adaptif terhadap keberagaman budaya siswa perlu diperkuat untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran yang berkeadilan.Culturally Responsive Teaching Approach in Indonesian Language LearningThe Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach is becoming increasingly relevant amidst the dynamics of cultural diversity in education, including in Indonesia. However, its application in Indonesian language learning is still relatively rarely studied in depth, especially compared to other subjects such as science and mathematics. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the CRT approach in Indonesian language learning at SMP Negeri 5 Seunagan, Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh. This study applies a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were obtained through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The research subjects included one Indonesian language teacher and students in grade VIII.3. The results of the study indicate that: (1) CRT-based learning planning has been carried out very well. This is demonstrated through the integration of local culture into the teaching modules and integration with the values of the Pancasila Student Profile; (2) the implementation of learning takes place inclusively. This can be seen in the teacher providing space for students to share their cultural experiences and utilizing local culture-based media, and (3) learning evaluation is carried out through a project method that allows students to express their creativity in a cultural context. However, student involvement in formulating assessment criteria is still limited. These findings indicate that the implementation of CRT positively contributes to creating more contextual, inclusive, and meaningful Indonesian language learning. These findings imply the importance of CRT training for Indonesian language teachers and the need for government support for the development of local wisdom-based teaching modules. Furthermore, remedial planning and evaluation that are more adaptive to students' cultural diversity need to be strengthened to improve the quality of equitable learning
Peningkatan Keterampilan Membaca dan Menulis dengan Teknik Pendekatan Kognitif Siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam membaca dan menulis dengan cara pendekatan Kognitif siswa. Pendekatan kognitif ini untuk meningkatkan pemahaman, daya ingat, kemandirian, berpikir kritis dan membangkitkan kreativitas di setiap proses pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di SMPN 2 Samudra. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes membaca dan wawancara selama beberapa pertemuan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi di awal adanya temuan siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama di kelas VII yang pada umumnya masih sangat lemah dalam membaca memahami dan menulis ulang isi bacaannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang sangat signifikan. Peningkatan membaca pemahaman dan kemampuan menulis kembali isi bacaan dengan menggunakan bahasa sendiri mencapai 88%. Peningkatan ini dikarenakan hampir rata-rata siswa termotivasi dan sangat kreatif saat proses belajar berlangsung dengan menggunakan teknik pendekatan kognitif. Improving Reading and Writing Skill with Cognitive Approach Techniques for Junior High School StudentsThis research aims to improve students' ability to read and write by means of the student's Cognitive approach. This cognitive approach is to improve understanding, memory, independence, critical thinking and generate creativity in every learning process. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were seventh grade students at SMPN 2 Samudra. Data was collected through reading tests and interviews over several meetings. Based on the initial observation, there was a finding of junior high school students in grade VII who were generally still very weak in reading comprehension and rewriting the content of their reading. The results showed a very significant improvement. The increase in reading comprehension and the ability to rewrite the content of reading using their own language reached 90%. This improvement was due to the fact that almost all students were motivated and very creative during the learning process using the cognitive approach
