FORMULASI SUSPENSI KERING KOMBINASI EKSTRAK ETANOL KUNYIT (Curcuma longa L.) DAN SERBUK DAGING BUAH PISANG KEPOK (Musa balbisiana Colla.) DENGAN VARIASI BAHAN PENSUSPENSI
Background :For long time ago various research has been done on both curcuma and banana fruit. Result showed that curcumin which contained in curcuma and cytoindosin, tannin, amylum on banana function as antipeptic ulcer. PUD (peptic ulcer disease) is remain the most common disease of gastrointestinal tract, so which influence life quality, disorder in works, and higher of medical treatment cost. Most of patient of which expect prompt effect of preparations. Based on this, suspension was made to give the prompt effect, due to fine particles of the suspensoid which is not degradated or aggregated in time.The Aim :to obtain dry suspension from which is pharmaceutically stable from combination of curcuma (Curcuma longa L.) aethanolic extracts and the powder of banana (Musa balbisiana Colla.) flesh using a various of suspending agent.Method : it was experimental method which was a research method in laboratory conducted by preparing some formulation designs of dry suspension fromcombination of curcuma (Curcuma longa L.) aethanolic extracts and the powder of banana (Musa balbisiana Colla.) flesh.Conclusion :the suspending agent producing the pharmaceutically stable dry suspension is magnesium aluminium silicate with 4% concentration Keyword : Curcuma, Banana Fruit, Dry Suspension, Peptic Ulcer
PERBANDINGAN EFEKTIVITAS HIPOGLIKEMIK OBAT METFORMIN PATEN DAN GENERIK BERLOGO BERDASARKAN PENURUNAN KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH MENCIT (Mus musculus) JANTAN YANG DIINDUKSI ALOKSAN
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a group of chronic diseases characterized by increased sugar levels in the blood as a result of disturbances in the body's metabolic system. Comparative studies have been conducted hypoglycemic effect of patent metformin and generic branded metformin to the diabetic male mice with the aim to determine the effect of the patent and the generic branded drug metformin drug in lowering blood glucose levels. This study used male mice were divided into three treatment groups, group I was given Na. CMC as a control, the group II was given generic branded metformin and the group III was given patent metformin. Measurement of blood glucose levels before and after induction of alloxan 120 mg/kgbw intraperitoneally, and for 6 hours after drug administration with measurements every 90 minutes interval. The data obtained were analyzed by ANOVA. The results showed the patents metformin drug have no significantly different effects compared to the generic branded metformin drug
FORMULASI BUBUR INSTAN KOMBINASI TEMPE DAN RUMPUT LAUT SERTA EFEK SINERGISMENYA TERHADAP KOLESTEROL DARAH
Formulation of Instant Porridge as the combination of Tempe and seaweed and its Synergism Effect Of Cholesterol level Blood. The aim of the research is to make instant porridge as the combination of tempe and seaweed which could be used as a food alternative and its influence on patients cholesterol and the determine a suitable formulation in making instant porridge as the combination of tempe and seaweed. The absorption was measured by using photometer 5010 with a long unbroken wave 546 nm. The statictical analysis reveal that instant porridge as the combination of tempe and seaweed could decrease cholesterol in which decrease of cholesterol really differs among formulation 1,2, and 3. The one in formulation 2 is 50%, and the one formulation 3 is 40%. The effect of synergism occurs in formulation 2, i.e 50% in which the comparison of tempe and seaweed is 50 : 50. Hedonic test by 10 respondents proves that all the respondents like instant porridge as the combination of tempe and seaweed about colour, aroma, taste, and texture. PERAWATAN BEDAH FLAP PERIODONTAL PADA PERIODONTITIS KRONIS: SEBUAH LAPORAN KASUS
Chronic periodontitis is an inflammatory disease in periopdontal tissue. Subgingiva specific organisms are to be responsible for this gingiva inflammatory reaction. Gingiva attachment loss would occurred along with alveolar bone destruction, periodontal pocket formation, pathological migration and mobility of teeth. Case: A 48-year-old male was referred to the Departement of Periodontology RGSM Kandea Makassar. On clinical examination, tooth mobility in relation to teeth 31,32,33,34,41,42,43,44 was noticed. Chewing difficulty was reported by the patient. There was no routine control by dentists. Methode: Presurgery examination of teeths 31,32,33,34,41,42,43,44 showed mean pocket depths >5mm, there was gingiva recession and º3 teeth mobility. The patients was managed by an open flap debridement under local anesthesia. All subgingiva deposits were removed using curettes. The tissue was sutured and periodontal pack was put in place. Result: The patient was recalled after 3 weeks for suture removal and reevaluation. His results shows normal gingiva tissue with good tissue attachment. Teeth mobility was decreased by º1. Conclusion: This case report emphasizes the importance of routine dental examination for early intervention of chronic periodontitis

A research have been conducted about isolation and identification some chemicals components in diethyl ether standard ekstract of Oxalis corniculata L. herb from Mamuju of West Sulawesi with purpose isolation and identification some chemicals components standard ekstract diethyl ether Oxalis corniculata L. herb based on fitochemistri parameters on the way kualitatife dan kuantitatife. Based on isolation with fitochemistri parameters of kuantitatife that standard diethyl ether ekstract 38 gram. Based on isolation and identification some chemical components obtained that dietyl ether ekstract of thin layer cromatography obtained chemicals components flavanoid at Rf 0.47 value with reagent Antimo (III) cloride, components alcaloids at Rf 0.86 value with reagents chemicals dragendorf, components chemicals steroids at Rf 0.90 with reagents chemicals Liebermann-Bouchard and kualitatife analisis at specific parameter in organoleptic that colour ekstract green, aromatis, smell, a tick form idication obtained alcaloids, steroids and flavanoids
ANALISIS METODE SEROLOGI WIDAL LAPANGAN, WIDAL PEMBANDING, DAN KULTUR PADA PENDERITA SUSPEK DEMAM TIFOID DI SULAWESI SELATAN
The aim of the study was to discover the difference of field widal and comparative widal in detecting Salmonella typhi in typhoid suspect patient, sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative prediction scores of Widal and to culture. The study was conducted at the Biomolecular and Immunology Laboratory of the faculty of Medicine Hasanuddin University. The number of samples was 40 typhoid suspect patiens colleted from examination of field Widal at public health centers and hospitals in south Sulawesi. The serum samples of the patient were reexamined by using Widal comparative methods, and culture examination was done to blood sample. The results of the study indicate that comparative widal sensitivity 70%, spesificity 26%, positive predictive score 24,1%, negative predictive score 16,7%, and filed Widal sensitivity 30%, specificity 30%, positive predictive score 16,7%, and negative predictive score 68,2%. The comparative Widal has higher sensitivity than field Widal
ANALISIS KANDUNGAN LOGAM BERAT MERKURI (Hg) DAN TIMBAL (Pb) PADA KOSMETIK LIPSTIK YANG BEREDAR DI KOTA MAKASSAR DENGAN METODE SPEKTROFOTOMETRI SERAPAN ATOM
Lipstick is a lip cosmetic that almost every day is used by the most women. Lipstick should be safe and does not contain hazardous materials as it can go ingested with food or drink consumed. One of hazardous contaminants in lipstick is contained heavy metals, such as lead and mercury. Based on these considerations, the cosmetic lipstick should be safe and do not contain harmful ingredients, One of the parameters to determine the lipstick cosmetics are safe or not from the content of the metals in contained. To determine the metals Pb and Hg contamination in cosmetics lipsticks do research by doing destruction samples and proceed with the analysis of the metal content using atomic absorption spectrophotometry. KORELASI KADAR ASAM URAT DALAM DARAH DAN KRISTAL ASAM URAT DALAM URINE
The study had been done about the correlation test betweenblood uric acid level, and urine uric acid cristal. The objective of this study was to find the correlation betweenblood uric acid level, and urine uric acid cristal. This studywas an observational study with cross sectional approach using serum and urine samples were taken from patients who have met the criteria of the study sample. The samples number are36 that all of them analyzed with test blood uric acid, and urine uric acid cristal.The data of result was processed and analyzed with statistic test of correlation test. The results of study showed that there are correlation between blood uric acid level and urine urine uric acid, that the more uric acid cristal exrated viaurine will make to reduce blood uric acid level
FORMULASI SABUN LOSIO PENCUCI TANGAN (HAND WASH) GEL LIDAH BUAYA (Aloevera L.) DENGAN VARIASI EMULGATOR
The aim of the research was to determine the optimum stable physically of the hand wash.Three formula were made in vary emulsifying agents that are Span 60-Tween 60, TEA-Stearic acid and Sodium lauryl sulfate respectively. The assays carried out by accelerated condition on 5oC and 35oC for 10 cycles by which the parameter were emulsion type, creaming volume, viscosity and type of flow and dispersed globule measuring.Result showed that according to emulsion type all formula exhibited o/w indicated by blue color that even before and after conditioned. There were nothing of creaming volume in all formula.Statistic analyse in viscosity and flowing type showed that formula A insignificant before and after conditioned, and has small dispersed globule. Rheogram showed close curve so that conclusion that might be taken that formula A was the optimum one
ISOLASI DAN IDENTIFIKASI KOMPONEN KIMIA EKSTRAK N-HEKSAN DAUN PALA (Myristica fragrans)
Nutmeg plant is a multi-purpose plant because each part can be utilized in the industry. Nutmeg leaves contain essential oils and phenolic compounds. Essential oils are used as traditional medicine ingredients and as raw material for the manufacture of cosmetics, soaps, perfumes and others. This study aimed to isolate and identify the chemical components in the leaves of nutmeg (Myristica fragrans). Have done isolation and Identification of chemical components of the methanol extract of leaves pala (Myristica fragrans.) of 500 grams to determine the class of chemical components caontained in the leaf pala (Myristica fragrans.). The methanol extract which obtained by maseartion method 9,45 grams continued by solid liquid partition with n-hexane 4,61 grams extract. N-hexan extract isolated by column chromatography method obtained 37 bottles vials. Fraction D of the merger based on the appearance of spotting the chromatograms isolated by preparative thin-layer chromatography method, obtained 3 band. D.1 fractions isolated by TLC obtained a stain. In fractions spotting D.1 is obtained by testing a single two-dimentional TLC ang the elution system of multi eluen. Interpretation UV-Visible spectra data showed maximum absorption at a wavelength 0f 273 nm and showed infrared fungtional group (OH) on the wave number (3927.78 cm-1, 3828.59 cm-1, 3743.30 cm-1, 3387.93 cm-1), group (CH) on the wave number (2925.93 cm-1, 2859.02 cm-1, 2364.17 cm-1), alken group (C = C) aromatik on the wave number (1642.54 cm-1, 1565.88 cm-1, 1516.65 cm-1, 1458.92 cm-1, 1114.33 cm-1), benzene group on the wave number ( 698.24 cm-1). Single spots obtained gave a positive reaction to spotting visualizer class of flavonoids. Key words : Nutmeg , Isolation, Essential Oils
