PENGEMBANGAN FORMULASI LULUR BIJI JINTAN HITAM
An investigation on formulation of body scrub from Nigella sativa seed has been carried out. The purpose of this investigation was to determine which formula stability optimal. Body scrub made emulsi which were amulsified by anionic group sulphate emulsifier, anionic group amine emulsifier, and nonionic emulsifier than determined the stability of body scrub with stress condition. Parameters investigated were emulsi type, viscocity and droplet size determined. The results showed that emulsi type from three formulas were oil in water (o/m) emulsion both before and after stress condition. Droplet size showed increased after stress condition. Viscocity from three formulas after stress condition showed reduced significantly (α = 0.01) but body scrub with anionic group sulphate emulsifier showed reduction only in α = 0.05. The conclusion showed that body scrub with anionic group sulphate emulsifier was relative the most stable emulsion.Keywords: Emulsifier, Nigella sativa seed, stabilit
FORMULASI GEL MINYAK KAYU MANIS (Oleum Cinnamomi) SEBAGAI PEMBERSIH TANGAN MENGGUNAKAN VARIASI KONSENTRASI CARBOPOL
As investigation has been done on cinnamomi oil gel formulation as hand clean use carbopol gel bases. The aim of the investigation was to select the most stable formula if cinnamomi oil through stability evaluation which done by organoleptic observation, viscosity and yield value determination. It was made three formula with several different concentration carbopol in this investigation that are 0,3 %, 0,4 % and 0,5 %. Of the result organoleptic observation there was no alternation before and after stress condition. Result statistic analyse on viscosity data shown that there was an influence of gel formula to viscosity before and after stress condition. At formula I and III shown that there was a very real influence between of before and after stress condition, while at formula II shown that there was no real influence. Result statistic analyse on yield value data shown that there was an influence of gel formula to yield value before and after stress condition. At formula I shown that there was a real influence between of before and after stress condition, at formula III shown that there was a very real influence between of before and after stress condition, while at formula II shown that there was no real influence. The conclution was formula II have the most optimal stability use concentration of carbopol 0,4 %.Key Words : Oleum Cinnamomi, Hand Clean, Carbopo
UJI EFEK PENGHAMBATAN ENZIM XANTIN OKSIDASE OLEH INFUS DAUN KEMANGI (Ocimum basilicum L.) BERDASARKAN PARAMETER FARMAKOKINETIK KOFEIN
Telah dilakukan penelitian efek penghambatan enzim xantin oksidase oleh infus daun kemangi (Ocimum basilicum L.) 5% pada hewan percobaan kelinci (Oryctolagus cuniculus) yang diberikan secara oral dengan maksud untuk mengetahui efek penghambatan enzim xantin oksidase sebagai pembanding (kontrol positif) digunakan allopurinol dosis 876 dan larutan kofein dosis 437,5 mg sebagai kontrol negatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan 9 ekor kelinci yang terbagi 3 kelompok yakni kelompok kontrol negatif diberikan air, pembanding diberikan allopurinol dan perlakuan diberikan infus dau kemangi 5% masing-masing secara oral sekali selama 5 hari pada hari ke-6 masing-masing kelompok diberikan larutran kofein kemudian dilakukan pengambilan darah pada menit 15, 30, 45, 60 ,90, 120, 140 ,dan 240. Dan supernatan yang telah dipisahkan diukur kadar kofeinnya pada spektrofotometer. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa infus daun kemangi (Ocimum basilicum L.) 5% tidak menghambat kerja enzim xantin oksidase karena nilai AUC yang lebih rendah dari pada kontrol negatif dan pembanding
