IDENTIFIKASI PENGGUNAAN OBAT PADA PASIEN HIPERTENSI USIA LANJUT DENGAN BEER’S CRITERIA DI INSTALASI RAWAT INAP RUMAH SAKIT IBNU SINA MAKASSAR PERIODE TAHUN 2012
Identification in the use medicine in geriatric patient of hypertension with Beer's Criteria In inpatient installation of Ibnu Sina Makassar hospital period 2012. In this study aims to observe and report on the use of drugs included in the Beers criteria on the use medicine in geriatrics patients of hypertension in the inpatient of Ibnu Sina Makassar Hospital. This is an observational study with the following descriptive design through the entire medical record in geriatrics patients who suffer from hypertension of Ibnu Sina Hospital in Makassar. The results showed that the types of drugs included in the Beers criteriaare nifedipine (3.44%), alprazolam (44.82%), lorazepam (13.79%), diazepam (13.79), estazolam (6.89 %), metokloperamide (10.34%), and mefenamic acid (3.44%)
SKRINING FITOKIMIA DAN PENETAPAN KANDUNGAN FLAVONOID TOTAL EKSTRAK METANOLIK HERBA BOROCO (Celosia argentea L.)
Phytochemical Screening and Determination of Total Flavonoids Content of Methanolic Extracts of Boroco Herbs (Celocia argentea L). Boroco plant is often used as a traditional medicine for anti inflammatory, diuretic, hypertension, dysentery. Chemical constituents in boroco herbs (Celocia argentea L.) are alkaloids and flavanoids, glycosides, tannin and saponin (2003) . Each sample extraction using 96 % methanol of maceration method. Then performed to determine the class of phytochemical screening of active compounds are contained in the sample. Determination of total flavanoids done by chang et al method (2002) of Boroco herbs. Result of the study showed the total flavanoids content of methanolic extract of boroco herbs calculated as a rutin for 2.57%
UPAYA ISOLASI β-ASARONE PADA EKSTRAK n-HEKSAN RIMPANG DRINGO (Acorus calamus L.) ASAL KABUPATEN PINRANG
The isolation of n-hexane extract from Sweet Flag rhizome (Acorus calamus L.) was done. The aim of this research is to obtain β-asarone isolate as marker compound of Sweet Flag (Acorus calamus L.). Sample from 1 kg of dried rizhome, mascerate using n-hexane. This process produce 31 ml thick extract. Isolation of n-hexane extract using column chromatography with isocratic methode using n-hexane etil acetat 8 : 2. The isolate identified by UV-Vis spectroscopy, IR spectroscopy, (1H) NMR and Gas Chromatography Mass Spectro. From the data result show that isolate is β-asarone
PERBANDINGAN AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN SIRSAK (Annona muricata L.) BERDASARKAN TEMPAT TUMBUH DENGAN METODE PEREDAMAN DPPH
Antioxidant activity assay has been conducted in order to determine the comparison of the antioxidant activity contained in the ethanol extract of the soursop leaves (Annona muricata L.) from Makassar, north Mamuju and Jeneponto. The amount of antioxidant activity obtained by testing against free radical DPPH (1,1-Diphenyl-2-picryl Hydrazyl) at concentrations of 10, 20, 30, 40 dan 50 ppm with 96% ethanol. The testing was done with the addition of 1 mL of the test solution with 4 mL DPPH 35 ppm. The absorbance of free radical activity was measured by UV-Vis spectrophotometer at the wavelength 515 nm and the IC50 value was calculated based on the absorbance data. The calculations showed that the soursop leaves from Makassar, North Mamuju, and Jeneponto had the IC50 value of 1.380 µg/mL, 1.512, and 1.420 respectively. The results showed that the samples came from Makassar had a higher antioxidant activity
IDENTIFIKASI AKTIVITAS EKSTRAK ETANOLIK BUAH MANGGA (Mangifera indica L.) PADA MENCIT JANTAN (Mus musculus) SEBAGAI PRODUK IMUNOGLOBULIN (IgM)
Mango fruit (Mangifera indica L) is a plant which grow in Indonesia and contain antioxidant as carotenoid (Vitamin A), vitamin C and also various phenolic compound. The aim of the investigation was to find out the activity of ethanol extract of mango fruit on male guinea pig (Mus musculus) as an immunoglobulin product. The test of immunomodulator was using hemagglutination antibody titer. The extracts were in concentration of 2%,4%,6%,8% and 10% administered orally 1 mL/30 g BW of the mouse which pre-immunized with 2% v/v red blood cells of the lamb. The results showed that the activity of the IgM in day seventh was raised in concentration extract 6% and 8% w/v while concentration extract 2% and 10% were the same to the control and the averages titer of immunoglobulin was 1/8, on the other hand concentration of the extract 4% was low in IgM activity was 1/4
PEMERIKSAAN KANDUNGAN BAHAN KIMIA OBAT (BKO) PREDNISON PADA BEBERAPA SEDIAAN JAMU REMATIK
A study of identification and assay of prednisone in rheumatic jamu. The aim of this study to identify the presence of Chemicals Drug (CD) in containing prednisone in rheumatic jamu with TLC-densitometry method. Samples extracted with Mesceration method using etanol 96% solvent by sonicator. Qualitative analysis using thin layer chromatography (TLC) with a mobile phase of chloroform : ethyl acetate (1 : 9) indicates that the sample A containing Prednison. Quantitative analysis using a TLC-densitometry at a maximum wave-length 254 nm. The result is one containing prednisone that suspected sample “A” is 475,421 µg/mL and the percentage is 4,754%
PENETAPAN KADAR FENOLIK TOTAL DARI EKSTRAK ETANOL BUNGA ROSELLA (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) BERWARNA UNGU MENGGUNAKAN SPEKTROFOTOMETRI UV-VIS
One of the herb plants, purple Roselle flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa L), used to traditionally for various diseases. The aim of this research is to determine the total phenolic content of ethanol extract of purple Roselle flowers. Sample as many one kilograms extracted by maceration method using ethanol 96%. Resulty 120 grams thick extract. Total phenolic content determined by UV-Vis spectrophotometer at wave leght 743 nm with gallic acid as standard reference with Folin-Ciocalteau reagent. The result show the rendamen of ethanolic extract 12% with total phenolic content 1.6726 %
SKRINING FITOKIMIA DAN UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN EKSTRAK ETANOLIK BUAH BUNI (Antidesma bunius (L.) SPRENG)
Free radicals play a role in the occurrence of various degenerative diseases that require free-radical scavengers or antioxidants. Buni fruit (Antidesma bunius (L.) Spreng) has the bioactive components are Anthocyanins (flavonoids) that serves to the free radicals. This study aimed to measure the antioxidant activity of theethanol extract contained 70% fruit Buni obtained by using the method of nitric oxide. Simplicia buni macerated dried fruit with 70% ethanol. Extracts were obtained in the test antioxidant activity against nitric oxide radicals. The antioxidant activity against free radical absorbance measured by means of UV-Vis spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 546 nm and calcul ated IC50 values. The results shows that the fruit buni has potential as a free radical with IC50 value of 2.28 µg/mL and a comparison of quercetin with IC50 value of 5.88 µg/mL
UJI STABILITAS FORMULASI KRIM TABIR SURYA SERBUK RUMPUT LAUT (Eucheuma cottonii. Doty)
Over sunlight exposure in long periode may cause skin damage, premature aging, and skin cancer possibilitie. Sunsreen can protect the skin from negative effect of sunlight, it can reduce the negative effect of UV radiation. Seaweed powder Eucheuma cottonii. Doty is one of the sea plants that can be used as a sunscreen. The objective of this research was to evaluate the physical stability of cream seaweed powder (Eucheuma cotonii. Doty). Cream evaluation included organoleptic, pH, viscosity, freeze an thaw, and sentrifuge test. The organoleptic examination that has been done does not change the smell, color, fungal growth, and does not form a layer on the surface of the creams, and creams remain homogeneous. Emulsion type of preparation was the water in oil. The effect of storage time on viscosity creams are not significant changes. The result sentrifuge test at a speed of 3800 rpm for 5 hours showed the cream to remain stable, and there was no phase separation. Cream storage at two different temperatures or freeze thaw cycle was stable there were no phase separation until the cycle to six
UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN BUAH SEMANGKA (Citrullus lanatus) DENGAN METODE FRAP
Have been conducted a research about antioxidant activity assay at watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) using FRAP method. Watermelon is known contains vitamin A, B, C, and lycopene. The aim of research were to determine the antioxidant activity relationship between watermelon juice and vitamin C with FRAP method using ascorbic acid as a comparative standard measure by UV-Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 692 nm. The research result was obtained the antioxidant capacity on the watermelon red meat juice 0,1329 mg AAE/g
