AKTIVITAS ANTIFUNGI TEMU PUTIH (Curcuma zedoaria) TERHADAP Trichophyton mentagrophytes
Curcuma zedoaria has long been known to be used in treatment of dermatophytosis; a skin disease caused by dermatophytes fungi such as Trichophyton mentagrophytes.The fungi infects hairs, skins, and nails that contain keratin. The study was conducted in order to measure the effect of ethanol extract of curcuma zedoaria in inhibiting Trichophyton mentagrohytes colonies. Results showed that the curcuma zedoaria ekstract inhibited Trichophyton mentagrophytes. The research was continued by Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) test by liquid dilution method in Sabaroud Dekstrosa Broth. Ethanol extract curcuma zedoaria did not indicate the value of the MIC test because due to the color and viscosity of samples which interfere with the observations. As for the positive control shows a clear color, that indicating the presence of inhibitory Trichophyton mentagrophytes by ketokonazol. For the value of the Minimum Fungicidal Concentration (MFC) to Trichophyton mentagrophytes are present in a concentration of 50%
IDENTIFIKASI PENGGUNAAN OBAT PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE II USIA LANJUT DENGAN BEER’S CRITERIA DI INSTALASI RAWAT INAP RUMAH SAKIT IBNU SINA MAKASSAR PERIODE TAHUN 2012
Using identification in the use medicine with Beer's Criteria to the advanced age patients in Inpatient installation in Ibnu Sina Makassar Hospital which aims to observe, report, and identify in the use medicine in elderly patient of Type II Diabetes Mellitus are covered by Beer's Criteria in inpatient installation in Ibnu Sina Makassar Hospital period 2012. This is a descriptive research by collecting data retrospectively. The results of this research concluded in the use medicine there are 8 types of drugs covered by the Beer’s Criteria, they are alprazolam 14.28%, insulin 64.28%, gliburide (gluconic®) 1.19%, metoclopramide (sotatic®) 4.76%, Kal. Diklofenak (kataflam®) 1.19%, mefenamic acid 3.57%, meloxicam 2.38%, and ketorolak 8.33%
IDENTIFIKASI GOLONGAN SENYAWA ANTIOKSIDAN DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE PEREDAMAN RADIKAL DPPH EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN Cordia myxa L.
Cordia myxa L .leaf is a plant from Boraginaceae family which is traditionally used as medicine of several skin diseases . The purpose of thid research is to know the chemical compound antioxidant activity of ethanolic extract of Cordia myxa L. leaf. The used extraction method was maceration method using 70% as solvent. Identification of coumpound group used color reaction and precipitation method respectively. While antioxidant activity test used free radical scavenging method of DPPH (1,1-dyphenyl-2 pycril Hydrazil). From the extraction result, that was found that %redamen of ethanolic extract of Cordia myxa L .leaf 2.76%. While the determination of chemical compound showed that ethanolic extcract of Cordia myxa L .leaf containing steroid, flavonoid, saponin, and phenol. The result antioxidant activity assay showed that ethanolic extract of Cordia myxa L .leaf has intermediate free antiradical activity with IC50 value 54.92 µg/mL. But it is potensial is lower than Quarcetin which has IC50 value 0.52 µg/mL
PENGUJIAN AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN KERSEN (Muntingia calabura L.) TERHADAP BAKTERI PENYEBAB JERAWAT
Daun kersen (Muntingia calabura L) merupakan tanaman yang banyak tumbuh di Indonesia,tidak mengenal musim dan digunakan sebagai obat karena memiliki banyak khasiat salah satunya sebagai obat jerawat. Komponen senyawa kimia flavonoid, tannin dan saponin yang terdapat pada daun kersen diduga sebagai antibakteri. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah ekstrak etanol daun kersen mempunyai aktivitas antibakteri terhadap Staphylococcus epidermidis. Uji aktivitas antibakteri diakukan dengan metode difusi agar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun kersen memiliki kemampuan menghambat pertumbuhan Staphylococcus epidermidis pada konsentrasi 1ppm, 3ppm, 5ppm, 9ppm, ekstrak etanol daun kersen efektif menghambat pertumbuhan Staphylococcus epidermidis
RIMPANG KECOMBRANG (Etlingera elator Jack.) SEBAGAI SUMBER FENOLIK
Kecombrang (Etlingera elatior Jack.) is one of the plants growing in the area of Palopo, South Sulawesi. Kecombrang included in the Zingiberaceae family and rhizome of kecombrang widely used by the community as an antioxidant. This research aimed to determine the phenolic content on the methanol extract of the rhizome kecombrang. Methanol extract of rhizhome kecombrang obtained by maceration method with methanol P. Chemical component analysis used thin layer chromatography (TLC) is characterized by the appearance of spot. Determination of the phenolic content of the methanol extract of rhizomes kecombrang used the TLC-densitometry. The results showed that the phytochemical assay on methanol extract of kecombrang rhizomes positively countains 144.43 µg phenolic compounds
UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN FRAKSI ETIL ASETAT DAUN WUNGU (Graptophyllum pictum (Linn) Griff) DENGAN METODE FRAP (FERRIC REDUCING ANTIOXIDANT POWER)
‘Wungu’ leaf is a plant known to contain flavonoids as the antioxidant. Thisresearch aimed to determine the antioxidant activit ethyl acetace fraction of ‘Wungu’ leaf (Graptophyllum pictum (Linn) Griff) by Ferric Reducing Antioxidants Power (FRAP) method. Extraction by maceration method usingethanol 96 %. Extract partitioned with ethyl acetace and water. Thefiltrate was dried with rotary evaporator and produce ethyl acetace fraction.Fraction were analyzed quantitatively by FRAP method with potassium ferriccyanide reagent solution, phosphate buffer, ferricchloride and distillede water. The sampel solutions analyzed by UV-vis spectrophotometer at a maximum wavelength of 705 nm using kuarsetin solution as a standard. The result showed that the antioxidantactivity of ethyl acetate fraction of ‘wungu’(Graptophyllum pictum (Linn) Griff) is3.984x10-6 g QE/g fraction
PENELUSURAN FUNGI ENDOFIT SEBAGAI PENGHASIL SENYAWA ANTIBIOTIKA DARI DAUN NANAS (Ananas comosus (L) Meer)
A search endophytic fungi from the leaves of pineapple (Ananas comosus (L) Merr) as a producer of antibiotic compounds will be carried out in order to obtain the endophytic fungi that have the ability to produce bioactive compounds useful as antibiotics.. Results of endophytic fungi isolates obtained six fungal isolates (IJA 1, IJA 2, IJA 3, IJA 4, IJA IJA 5 and 6), which have a different macroscopic characterization of forms, edge and elevation colonies. Isolates pure microbial fermentation results in the test antibiotic activity against some bacteria using agar diffusion test. All isolates pure fermentation results showed inhibitory activity against all bacteria in test as Bacillus subtilis, Esherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella thypi, Shigella dysenteriae, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus mutans, and Vibrio cholerae. The inhibition of fungi isolates shown in (IJA 4) with a 26 mm zone of inhibition against Esherichia coli bacteria
FORMULASI TABLET PARACETAMOL SECARA KEMPA LANGSUNG DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN VARIASI KONSENTRASI AMILUM UBI JALAR (Ipomea batatas Lamk.) SEBAGAI PENGHANCUR
It has been conducted a research about paracetamol tablet formula with kempa technique directly using various concentration of parsnip creeps amylum (Ipomea batatas Lamk.) as dissolver. The result observation shows that all tablet qualifies to test tablet physical character of that. Cover wight uniformity, size uniformity, crispness, and violence, flohat are indicated accord with in Indonesian Pharmacopoeia. Based on analysis of variance quiz f that there is no significant formula among uniformity, size uniformity, crispness and violence. All formula qualifies to test at dissolution
UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIRADIKAL BEBAS EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN KEMANGI (Ocimum basilicum L.) DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE DPPH
Basil leaves (Ocimum basilicum L.) the plant of the family Lamiaceae that can act as a free radical scavenger, flavonoid compounds. The aim of this research to determine and calculate the IC50 (Ocimum basilicum L.) that has activity as a free radical based on the binding free radical (1,1 diphenyl picryl-hydrazyl). Samplemasceration with ethanol, where in the amount of the extract obtained is 10.16 gr. At the free radical scavenging test ethanol extract has moderate activity with IC50 value is 52.68 μg/mL lower than quercetin with IC 50 value is 1.8 μg/mL
POTENSI LIMBAH AIR TAHU ASAL KOTA MAROS SEBAGAI SUMBER BAKTERI PENGHASIL ENZIM PROTEASE DALAM MELAWAN RADIKAL BEBAS
This research aims to determine the protease enzyme-producing bacteria in Limbah Air Tahu and IC50 fermentat protease enzyme-producing bacteria in Limbah Air Tahu potentially fight free radicals. The methods in the study, which is taking Limbah Air Tahu and sewage treatment, followed by isolation of the bacteria producing the enzyme protease. Bacterial isolates obtained purified, for macroscopic examination. Fermentation bacteria and the production of protease enzymes. Purified protease enzyme obtained. Testing fermentat to fight free radicals with the DPP method and the determination of IC50 values fermentat protease enzyme-producing bacteria. The results of the protease enzyme producing bacteria identification on Biochemical activity test, there were 7 positive bacteria. The results of screening anti-free radical activity against isolates obtained 12 isolates with code FF 05. UMI IBPLT most excellent activity that is obtained of the IC50 fermentat isolates UMI IBPLT FF 05 is equal to 0.129 and dibandingakan denagn IC50 Vitamin C is = 14.81 + 0:10 then isolates FF 05 UMI IBPLT active in fighting free radicals
