EFEK ANTIINFLAMASI EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN KAMBOJA (Plumeria rubra L.) PADA TIKUS PUTIH (Rattus norvegicus)
Inflammation is a body protective response against tissue injury which can be characterizet by the formation of edema. Frangipani Leaves contain flavanoids, saponins and alkaloids. The flavanoid compound is considered to have a useful effect for healing edema. This research aimed to examine the effects of anti-inflamatory and determined the dose of ethanol extract of the frangipani leaves (Plumeria rubra L.) as an anti-inflammatory in the rat. The test of anti-inflammatory effect was done by using the Rat Hind Paw Edema method in which test animals it used 15 rats divided into 5 groups: groups I (negative control) was given Na.CMC 1% w/v, group II (positive control) was given diclofenac sodium, group III, IV and V were given the ethanol extract of the frangipani leaves successive doses of 166,6mg/kgBW, 222,2 mg/kgBW, and 277,7 mg/kgBW, all groups were orally administered. The tested animals were induced carrageenan 1% w/v in intraplantar 0,5 mL and were meansured their foot edema volume before performed before induction as the intial volume (Vo), after induction, and 1 hour after the administration of the dosage form for 5 hours with the intervals of 1 hours using the pletismometer. The research result data were proccessed statistically using on-wey anova. Based of the data analysis showed that the ethanol extract of the frangipani leaves have the activity as the anti-inflammatory and statistically, the assay extract group showed the result not significantly different (p>0,05) against the diclofenac sodium group and a dose of 277,7mg/kgBW possessed the best activity compared to a dose of 166,6mg/kgBW and 222,2mg/kgBW
PROFIL FITOKIMIA DAN PEMERIKSAAN FARMAKOGNOSTIK DAUN ANTING-ANTING (Acalypha indica. L)
The Anting-anting (Acalypha indica L.) plant of the tribal Euphorbiaceae is one type of plant commonly used as a medicinal plant. The Purpose of This study is to get the morphology data, anatomy, organoleptic, physical determination of powders, powder ekstrabilitas determination, identification of chemical reactions and thin layer chromatography of Anting-anting (Acalypha indica L.) plant. Extraction of Anting-anting (Acalypha indica L.) leaf is using 96% ethanol by maceration method. Longitudinal slices showed stomata leaf anatomy anisositik type. Fisic desition include 16,36 % decision of dust level 5,16% decision of unsoluble dust in acid level. Decision of cansentrate level that include 25,16% consentrate level of water soluble and 26,36% consentrate level of etanol soluble. PERBEDAAN BERKUMUR LARUTAN EKSTRAK SIWAK (Salvadora persica) TERHADAP SEKRESI SALIVA RONGGA MULUT LANJUT USIA DENGAN HIPERTENSI (HT), DIABETES MELITUS (DM) DAN TIDAK MEMILIKI PENYAKIT SISTEMIK DI PANTI SOSIAL TRESNA WERDHA GAU MABAJI GOWA TAHUN 2017
Background of Study: Saliva is a complex oral fluid that has an important role associated with biological processes in the oral cavity. Age changes are known to have an effect on decreasing saliva production. Likewise with systemic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus. Chemical prevention of acid imbalance in the saliva is conducted by rinsing using a siwak extract solution. Chemical content in siwak extract can increase the secretion in the saliva in the oral cavity because it has a bactericidal effect that will prevent acid production from oral bacteria. Objective of Study: To determine the difference of rinsing by using siwal extract solution on salivary secretion of the oral cavity of elderly people who have hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and do not have systemic diseases. Method: This study is pre-experiment with one group pretest and post-test design. The sample of the study was elderly people in a social housing. Also, the research used paired t-test. Result: This study shows the average change in hypertension 1.185 mL/5minute with probability value 0.000, diabates mellitus 1,358mL/5minute with probability value 0.000, does not have systemic disease 1.057 mL/5minute with probability value 0,000 <0,05 meaning there is difference. Conclusion: The difference of mouth washing of 25% extract of siwak solution to elderly salivary secretion in hypertension, diabetes mellitus and did not have systemic disease in social house of tresna werdha gau mabaji gowa
PENENTUAN DOSIS MINIMUM EKSTRAK ETANOL HERBA KROKOT (Portulaca oleracea L.) TERHADAP PENURUNAN KADAR TRIGLISERIDA PADA TIKUS OBESITAS
Common purslane (Portulace Oleracea L.) has a compound of omega-3, flavonoid and ascorbic acid with the activity in decreasing triglyceride levels. This study aimed to determine the minimum dose of ethanol extract of common purslane against the decrease of triglyceride levels of obese mice. It used 18 rats fed high-calorie diet (HCD) for 30 days. The obese rats were devided into 6 groups consisting of group I of negative controls (Na.CMC ), group II of positive control (gemfibrozil®), group III,IV,V,VI provided the ethanol extract of common purslane (EECP) with 25 mg/kgBW, 50 mg/kgBW, 75 mg/kgBW, 100 mg/kgBW. Afterwards, 14 days of therapy were given and still fed a high-calorie (HCD). The measurement of triglyceride levels is performed before induction (early). After induction , and after therapy. The data of the study were analized by percentage decrease of each test group. The result show that the EECP groups of 75 mg/kgBW was the minimum dose in lowering triglyceride levels with a decrease of 16,49 %.
EFEKTIFITAS PEMANFAATAN POTENSI SENYAWA FENOLIK KUBIS UNGU (Brassica Oleraceae var.carpitata. L) SECARA INSTRUMEN UV-VIS
Cabbage Purple (Brassica oleracea var. Capitata L.) is one of the genus Brasica genus that is widely available in Indonesia. Purple cabbage has many benefits because it has many content, among others, vitamins A, B, C and E, mineral potassium, calcium, phosphorus, sodium and iron, sulforafan and contain anthocyanin. The purpose of this study was to perform and determine the total phenolic content of purple cabbage (Brassica oleracea var, capitata L.). The method used in qualitative analysis is through color reaction by using specific reagent, while for quantitative analysis done by UV-Vis spectrofotometry method. For antioxidant activity test through absorbance analysis of acid error and sample absorbance from observation result on UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The results of this study contain phenolic compounds, as for the total phenolic content of methanol extracts that the purple cabbage (Brassica oleraceavar, capitata L.) FORMULASI DAN UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN LOSIO EKSTRAK METANOL ALGA HIJAU Caulerpa racemosa
Caulerpa racemosa is one type of green algae has the ability to defend against radiation of ultraviolet. Lotion is a liquid or semi-liquid preparation containing one or more active ingredients with a suitable vehicle and provides a comfortable and good feel to the skin. The aim of this research was to obtain the optimum formula based on organoleptic testing, viscosity, pH, flow type, globule of dispersion, and antioxidant activity. The method of this research is experimentally which done by making some design of lotion formulation from methanolic extract of green alga Caulerpa rasemosa. Stability of losio was evaluated include organoleptic testing, pH measurement, type of emulsion, viscosity, flow type, size and distribution of dispersion globule. Determining of effectiveness of lotion as an antioxidant by IC50 value with UV-Vis spectrophotometry method. Results of this research collected and processed statistically with the Completely Randomized Design method, then made the discussion and taken the conclusion. Based on the evaluation, it was found that Losio containing 0.75% methanolic extract of Caulerpa racemosa green algae (Formula III) had the most optimum pharmaceutical stability. And the three losio formulas containing methanol extract of Caulerpa racemosa green algae have antioxidant activity
ISOLASI FUNGI ENDOFIT PENGHASIL ANTIBIOTIKA PADA ALGA MERAH JENIS Gracilaria verrucosa SECARA KLT-BIOAUTOGRAFI
This research aimed to determine the antibacterial fungi endofitic isolate of Gracilaria verrucosa type Rhodophyta that antibiotic as potential by Bioautography-TLC Method. The result of fungi endofitic isolate, obtained that 7 active isolates and purified by quadrant method on potato dextrose agar medium obtained 5 active isolates (isolate 1, 2, 3, 5, 6). The result of the screening of fungi endofitic isolate by cakram method possessed that the biggest inhibitory zone is isolate 2 and isolate 6 by 25 mm at Streptococcus mutans. The test results of fungi endofitic isolate activity by Bioautography-TLC obtained Rf 0.07 0.23, 0.56, 0.78, 0.81 and 0.94 value actif inhibited Bacillus subtilis, Shigella disentry, Streptococcus mutans and Eschericia coli. And the identification results of the chemical component shown that the actif compound at isolate 2 and isolate 6 given result positif alkaloid
UJI IN VITRO DAN IN SILICO SENYAWA 5,7,2’,5’-TETRAHYDROXY FLAVAN-3-OL TERHADAP ENZIM ALPHA GLUCOSIDASE
Several of Calophyllums genus have been searched and proven as medicinal plants and Calophyllum macrophyllum is one of its genus. We have been isolated a compound from ethyl acetate fraction of the stem-bark. The compound was flavan-3-ol (5,7,2’,5’-tetrahydroxy flavan-3-ol). This research aimed to determine inhibition antidiabetic activity and affinity of its compound on α-glycosidase enzyme. In vitro antidiabetic effect shown by IC50 9.10 µg/ml and docking by Arguslab 4.01 shown by ΔG -10,24 kkal/mol as in silico test. The inhibition activity of flavan-3-ol against the α-glucosidase enzyme that is very strong shows its promising potential as a candidate for antidiabetic drugs
EFEK ANALGETIK KOMBINASI EKSTRAK BUAH BELIMBING WULUH (Averrhoa bilimbi L) DAN EKSTRAK DAUN PEPAYA (Carica Papaya L.) PADA MENCIT (Mus musculus)
Starfruit fruit (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) and papaya (Carica papaya L.) containing the same are flavonoids which have activity as an analgesic. Flavonoids in both plants are thought to function as analgesics because they can inhibit prostrglandin synthesis which results in no release of pain meditors. The purpose of this study was to determine the analgesic effect on extract of starfruit fruit, papaya leaf extract , and a combination of both. starfruit fruit and papaya leaves macerated using 70% ethanol. Examining the analgesic activity of both extracts and combinations using a dose of 500 mg / kg BB. If the weight of the mice is 20 g/BB then the dose variation is 1 mg / 20 g BB. For the combination of the two extracts, it was made a comparison of extracts of starfruit fruit : papaya leaf extract 1: 3, 2: 2, and 1: 3. The first group was given CMC N a 0.5% as a negative control, the second group was given mefenamic acid as a positive control, the group was then given extract test solution as an extract control. After 30 minutes, 1 % acetic acid-inducing induction was given then observed mice stretching. ANALISIS EFEKTIVITAS BIAYA PENGGUNAAN ANTIBIOTIK SIPROFLOKSASIN DAN SEFTRIAKSON PADA PASIEN INFEKSI SALURAN KEMIH RAWAT INAP DI RSU ANUTAPURA PALU TAHUN 2016-2017
Urinary tract infection is an infection that comes from bacteria and affects the top or bottom of the urinary tract. Effective treatment can be done by choosing and using appropriate antibiotics. The principle of selecting antibiotics is called cost effective. This study aims to analyze the cost-effectiveness of using ciprofloxacin and ceftriaxone antibiotics in patients with urinary tract infection. The method used is retrospectively quantitative. Data obtained from medical records, and medical payment in the form of direct medical costs of ciprofloxacin and ceftriaxone antibiotics on inpatient with urinary tract infection at General Hospital Anutapura in the period of 2016-2017. The results showed the cost-effectiveness of antibiotics ceftriaxone is more cost effective than ciprofloxacin antibiotics with an ACER value of Rp12.249,5 and ICER value of Rp2.336,5. Based on the cost-effectiveness of antibiotics the results of chi-square test obtained p value = 0.157, it is concluded that there is no significant difference between ciprofloxacin and ceftriaxone
