Painted Nettle (Coleus scutellarioides L. Benth.) has properties as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial. It accelerates wound healing as well. Painted nettle contains essential oils, phenols, tannins, phytosterols, alkaloids, and flavonoids. This study aimed to obtain endophytic fungi isolates that have the potential as antibacterial by TLC-Bioautography and agar diffusion methods. This research was conducted by isolating endophytic fungi of painted nettle, advanced to purification and macroscopic tests and nine pure isolates were obtained. The results of the isolate screening with the IFDI code 6 showed the highest inhibition. Furthermore, the antibacterial activity was assayed by TLC-Bioautography. The results obtained two active spots (Rf1 = 0.96; Rf2 = 0.25) against Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidemics, three active spots (Rf1 = 0.96; Rf2 = 0.61; Rf3 = 0.25) against Psedudomonas aeruginosa. The results of the antibacterial activity assay by diffusion method obtained inhibitory zone for each bacterium, namely Staphylococcus aureus at 8.95 mm, Staphylococcus epidermidis at 8.24 mm, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa at 7.46 mm.Key words: Antibacterial, agar diffusion, endophytic fungi, skin infections, TLC Bioautograph

Diabetes mellitus is a disease caused by a glucose metabolism disorder due to lack of insulin indicated by high levels of glucose in the blood due damage in pancreatic 3 cells or insulin resistance. The research aimed to determine the effect and effective dosage of ethanol extract of seagrass to decrease glucose levels of diabetic mellitus in rats. It used 15 rats divided into 5 treatment groups, namely negative groups (NaCMC), positive group (Glibenclamide), tested extract group with the doses of 0,25 g/kgBW, 0,5 g/kgBW and 0,75 g/kgBW respectively. Alloxan induction at a dose of 0,13 g/kgBW was given intraperitoneally once a day orally for 14 days. Blood glucose level measurement was carried out before induction, after induction and after glucometer therapy. The result was statistically analyzed using the One Way Anova followed by the Bonferoni Post Hoc test and showed that the ethanol extract of seagrass leaves had a deep effect in reducing the blood glucose level of rats induced by alloxan at 750 mg/kgBW as the effective dose

Empirically, the Indonesian people have used medicinal plants to cure various diseases. Ethnopharmaceutical studies were carried out as an effort to maintain knowledge of medicinal plants in the community, especially in Simbang District. This study aims to obtain data and information related to medicinal plants used as antihypertensives by the community in Simbang District, Maros Regency. This study was a survey study using a descriptive observational method where sampling uses purposive sampling techniques through interviews and questionnaire distribution. The results obtained were 17 species, 15 families and 16 genera that were used as antihypertensives. Plant parts used as antihypertensives were leaves, fruits, seeds, rhizomes and tubers. The way to use antihypertensive medicinal plants by the community in Simbang District was to be eaten and drunk by processing boiled, brewed, grated and ground

Endophytic fungi generally produce secondary metabolites that have beneficial biological activities such as anticancer, antiviral, antibacterial or antioxidant compounds. The aim of this study was to examine the antioxidant activity of galling-galing leaf endophytic fungi isolate (Cayratia trifolia L.) by 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazil (DPPH) method. This study used IDGG-03 endophytic fungi isolate fermented for 21 days using MYB medium then extracted and evaporation was carried out. The fermentate extract obtained was then tested qualitatively and quantitatively for antioxidant activity. Qualitative results using TLC plates indicate that galling-leaf fungi isolates have antioxidant activity which is characterized by the presence of yellow spots on a purple background. And in the quantitative test IC50 68,133 µg / mL was obtained, which indicated the antioxidant activity of galling-vane leaf endophytic fungi isolate (Cayratia trifolia L.) classified as a strong antioxidant

The research had conducted the antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of Chromolaena odorata (L.) leaves by TLC Bioautography. It aimed to evaluate the antibacterial activity of the ethanol extract. The ethanol extract of leaves Chromolaena odorata (L.)  was done by screening at the concentration of 0.1% on Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus, Propionibacterium acnes, then test bioautigrafi TLC and identification of chemical components. The results of screening showed that the ethanol extract of 0,1% concentration had an antibacterial activity. Meanwhile, TLC-Bioatography method resulted in 5 active spots with different Rf values 0,1, 0,3, 0,6, 0,8, and 0,9 (Staphylococcus epidermidis), and (Propionibacterium acnes). 4 active spots with Rf values 0,1, 0,3, 0,6, and 0,8 (Staphylococcus aureus) Therefore, the identification of chemical components of ethanol extract contained phenol group compounds

Island lychee (Pometia pinnata J.R.Forster & J.G.Forster) is a plant species from the Sapidaecae family used as a medical plant that plays a role in healing or improving health condition of the community. This research aimed to determine the content of chemicah compound and pharmacologycal activity of several types of island lychee extract. The review on the study of the chemical content and pharmacologycal activity of island lychee was conducted by searching the literature related to chemical and pharmacologyal review accessed on several journal provide sites (google scholar). Then it was proceeded with screening on these journal to obtain sources that fall with in the inclution criteria. Island lychee has many properties that have been scientifically proven. Several types of the extract are reported to have pharmacologycal activity that can be develop as antioxidans, antibacterials, antimicrobials, antiperusemia, antihyperglycemic/antidiabetic, anticancer and diuretic. The pharmacologycal activity is due to the compound group of alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols, coumarin, polyphenol, saponin, steroids, tannins and terpenoid
