Cordia myxa L. is empirically used as an antidiabetic medication. The aim of this study is to determine the in-vivo effect of Cordia myxa L. n-hexane fraction on reducing blood sugar levels and their relationship with the anti-free-radical activity assay using DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-Picrylhydrazyl). The n-hexane fraction of Cordia myxa L. was used as a sample in the post-prandial assay which was analyzed using the ANOVA statistical test followed by Post-Hoc test. The results showed that there were significant in the extract using a 500 mg dose. In the anti-free-radical test using DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-Picrylhydrazyl) at maximum wavelength of 516 nm, 16.49 µg /mL IC50 value was obtained. For comparison, Quercetin with IC50 0.13 µg/mL was used. This shows that the sample has strong anti-free radical inhibitory potential ranged from 10 µg/mL to 50 µg/mL. The data from the calculation showed that there is a correlation between its effect of lowering high blood sugar level and anti-free radical activit

Inhibition of the α-glucosidase can be used as antidiabetic therapy because it can reduce postprandial blood sugar levels. The stem bark of mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla King.) have properties as inhibitors of enzyme α-glucosidase. The purpose of this study was to determine the active compound of mahogany stem bark againstα-glucosidase enzyme in vitro and in silico. 96% ethanol extract of mahogany stem bark was partitioned with n-hexane, ethyl acetate and water. Testing of inhibition of α-glucosidase enzyme work done with substrate p-nitrophenyl-α-D-glucopyranoside. The water fraction was separated on silica gel column chromatography (SiO2 : dichloromethane-methanol = 10 : 1 ~ 1 : 1 and methanol).Molecular docking using AutoDock 4.2.6 was performed to predict the binding modes of α-glucosidase enzyme with chemical compound from water subfraction of stem bark mahogany. The results showed that water fraction of stem bark mahogany have antidiabetic activity with IC50 value of 1.51 µg/mL. Fraction Fr-1 gave an inhibition of 83.61 ± 1.11 %. Fr-1 contains chemical compound catechin, evodionol and swietenitin K. In silico study showed that catechin and evodionol free energy value (ΔG) -6.98 and -6.25 Kcal/mol and inhibition constanta (Ki) 7.61 and 26.18 µM

Prevention of the transmission of covid 19 can be done by implementing the health protocol, namely 3M (wearing masks, washing hands and social distance). Based on research, the use of masks can reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 by 45 percent as well as hand washing reduces the risk by 35 percent. WHO recommends washing hands with soap/antiseptic for 20-30 seconds and applying the right steps. Another effort is to maintain a distance of at least 1 meter and avoid crowds. To assist the government in preventing the transmission of covid 19, socialization of the 3M activity was carried out at the Darul Istiqamah Maros Islamic Boarding School which is located on the Maros-Makassar Street, Mandai District, Maros Regency. This location was chosen because Maros was the third highest area with the number of people who are positive for the corona virus in South Sulawesi. Islamic boarding school students are a partner group that is expected to apply the 3M health protocol so as to prevent the transmission of covid 19. The activity is carried out by providing counseling about the importance of implementing 3M, how to implement 3M and also by distributing masks, soap and disinfectants needed to implement health protocols. The activity was carried out well and received a good response from the participants with 33 participants from various classes who were students of the Darul Istiqamah Islamic Boarding School Makassar
