Pengembangan Bahan Ajar IPA Berbasıs E-Learnıng Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Generık Sains Dan Penguasaan Konsep Mahasiswa Calon Guru Sekolah Dasar
Get PDFPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh 32,89% mahasiswa yang penguasaan konsepnya dalam kategori baik dan terdapat 29% mahasiswa yang memiliki keterampilan generik sains dalam kategori baik. Berkaitan dengan permasalahan tersebut, perlu adanya proses perbaikan terutara untuk bahan ajar yang digunakan pada mata kuliah Pengembangan Konsep Dasar IPA, dimana bahan ajar berbasis e-learning   dianggap paling tepat untuk permasalahan tersebut. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah R&D  model borg and gall. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelompok penelitian yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa PGSD semester 5 Universitas Muhadi Setiabudi. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yang diambil secara acak. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) Penggunaan bahan ajar berbasis e-learning mampu meningkatkan keterampilan generik sains dan penguasaan konsep mahasiswa PGSD pada mata kuliah Pengembangan konsep dasar IPA, 2) terdapat perbedaan keefektifan antara kedua bahan ajar, 3) penggunaan bahan ajar berbasis e-learning lebih efektif dibandingkan bahan ajar biasa terhadap keterampilan generik sains dan penguasaan konsep mahasiswa PGSD
Perjuangan Perempuan dalam Novel "Wedding Agreement" Karya Mia Chuz: Kajian Feminisme
Get PDFArtikel ini menganalisis cerita dari novel Wedding Agreement yang menceritakan perjuangan perempuan bernama Tari dalam mempertahankan rumah tangganya. Meskipun tidak memperoleh hak lahir dan batin dari suaminya, ia tetap menjalankan tanggung jawabnya sebagai istri. Tujuan dari analisis novel ini yaitu untuk menunjukkan bentuk-bentuk perjuangan dari tokoh utama Tari, serta hal-hal yang dapat menginspirasi kaum wanita. Adapun metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan feminisme. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Novel Wedding Agreement, berupa penggalan-penggalan yang berupa kalimat, serta teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik analisis dokumen. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa bentuk-bentuk perjuangan Tari dalam mempertahankan rumah tangganya, antara lain 1) teguh dalam mengambil keputusan dengan cara meminta saran kepada orang-orang terdekatnya, 2) berupaya dan mencari cara untuk mempertahankan rumah tangganya, 3) berusaha memanfaatkan waktunya untuk menjadi istri yang baik dan taat kepada suami. Selain itu, terdapat pula hal-hal yang dilakukan oleh tokoh Tari yang dapat menginspirasi kaum wanita, diantaranya memiliki sikap religius, sabar dan teguh dalam menghadapi suaminya, serta tidak gegabah dalam mengambil keputusan yang menyangkut rumah tangganya dan suami.Kata kunci: perjuangan perempuan, novel, kajian feminisme  This article analyzes based from the novel Wedding Agreement which tells the struggle of a woman named Tari in defending her marriage. Even though she does not get physical and mental rights from her husband, she still carries out her responsibilities as a wife. The purpose of the analysis of this novel is to show the struggle of main characters, Tari. As well as things that can inspire women. The methodology used in this research is descriptive qualitative approach to feminist approach. The data source used in this research is the Novel Wedding Agreement, in the form of fragments in the form of sentences, as well as data collection techniques using document analysis techniques. The results of the analysis show that the forms of dance struggle in defending the household, among others, are 1) persistence in making decisions by asking for advice from the people closest to him, 2) trying and looking for ways to defend the household, 3) trying to use his time to become a good wife and obedient to her husband. In addition, there are also things that dance figures do that can inspire women, including having a religious attitude, being patient and persistent in dealing with her husband, and not being careless in making decisions regarding her household and husband.Keywords : woman struggle, novel, study of feminis
Struktur dan Ragam Diksi dalam Lelakaq Sasak
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap secara cermat struktur/pola dan ragam diksi lelakaq Sasak. Ragam diksi difokuskan pada penggunaan kata-kata bersinonim, antonim, reduplikasi, dan kompisisi. Penelitian ini termasuk deskriptif-kualitatif karena menggambarkan secara sistematis data-data tentang ragam diksi sinonim, antonim, reduplikasi, dan komposisi/kata majemuk. Tempat penelitian dilaksanakan perpustakaan karena peneliti menemukan data dan informasi penelitian melalui pustaka. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata, frase, larik, bait, dan lelakaq/pantun Sasak secara keseluruhan. Adapun sumber data yang digunakan, yaitu lelakaq didokumentasikan. Instrumen kunci penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri. Instrumen ini dipilih karena sejalan dengan ciri penelitian kualitatif yaitu objek peneliti adalah karya teks/dokumen lelakaq Sasak. Data dalam penelitian dianalisis mengunakan model perspektif konstruktives model Marshall & Rossman melalui tahapan instensi, kategori-kategori yang ditentukan, dan target hasil yang ingin diperoleh dengan tahapan epoche, reduksi, dan strukturasi pemahaman secara hermeneutis ataupun dialektis. Lelakaq Sasak sebagai salah satu seni lokal masyarakat Sasak dalam penyusunannya memperhatikan/mempertimbangkan secara cermat pilihan kata-katanya, khususnya diksi berupa sinonim, antonim, reduplikasi, dan kata majemuk. Pemilihan ini terkait erat dengan perimbangan estetika lelakaq/pantun Sasak.Kata Kunci: struktur diksi, sinonim, antonim, reduplikasi, komposisi This study aims to carefully reveal the structure/pattern and variety of Sasak's lelakaq diction. The variety of diction is focused on the use of words that are synonymous, antonym, reduplication, and composition. This research is descriptive-qualitative because it describes systematically the data on the various diction of synonyms, antonyms, reduplication, and compound word/composition. The research place is carried out by the library because the researcher finds research data and information through the library. The data in this research are in the form of words, phrases, arrays, stanzas, and lelakaq/Sasak pantun as a whole. The data source used, namely lelakaq, was documented. The key research instrument is the researcher himself. This instrument was chosen because it is in line with the characteristics of qualitative research, namely that the object of the researcher is the work of Sasak texts/documents. The data in the study were analyzed using the Marshall & Rossman constructivist perspective model through the instinctive stages, the specified categories, and the target results to be obtained by the epoche stages, reduction, and structuring of understanding hermeneutically or dialectically. Lelakaq Sasak as one of the local arts of the Sasak people in its preparation pay attention to/consider carefully the choice of words, especially diction in the form of synonyms, antonyms, reduplications, and compound words. TEACHER’S PERSPECTIVE : ENGLISH IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, IS IT NECESSARY OR NOT?
Get PDFThe Covid 19 pandemic which requires online learning has caused learning difficulties for students at the junior high school level, especially in English subjects which they have only formally get because in elementary school there are no more English lessons. Especially in rural areas where students' insight is very limited and parents’ ability to assist their children in learning is also quite limited, it is become a big problem. English is really a new thing that they get, while with face-to-face learning, they lost opportunities to ask and discuss learning difficulties to their teacher. This study aims to find out how the perspective of elementary school teachers on English lessons, whether they consider it necessary or not if English is taught since elementary school related to a lot of students find difficulties to learn English in junior high school. 9 teachers participated in this research. They are spread evenly in various places in Majalengka district. Data were obtained through observation, questionnaires and interviews by google form and whatsapp and analyzed by qualitative. The results of the study finds that 100% of the teachers agreed English should taught in elementary schools. The obstacles might be faced if English is applied in elementary schools, 55,5 % said facilities and infrastructure, 22,2% said nothing and 11,1% students’ interest in learning english and 11,1% said that they don’t have English teacher. And their expectations are students able to speak in daily conversation (22,2%) and 77,8% hope students know basic english to make them easier in learning English at the next level
CODE-SWITCHING AND CODE-MIXING USED BY GUEST STAR IN HOTMAN PARIS SHOW
Get PDFCode-switching and code-mixing are the linguistic phenomena that commonly occur in bilingualism society. Code-switching happens when the speakers mix words or phrases from the two languages during the course of speech or conversation. Meanwhile, code-mixing is the change of one language to another within the same utterance or in the same oral or written text. This research aimed to find out the types of code-switching, code-mixing and the reason as well used by Cinta Laura Kiehl as the guest star in Hotman Paris Show television program on January 2nd 2020. This research also aimed to find out the reason of Cinta Laura Kiehl of doing code-switching and code-mixing. The researcher used descriptive qualitative method as the research design. Content analysis and documentation was used as the technique to collect the data. The instruments used were human instrument and documentation sheet. To analyze the data, the researcher used Miles and Huberman (1994) interactive model. The result of the research showed that all the types of code-switching and code-mixing was used by Cinta Laura Kiehl. The most dominant type of code-switching used was intra-sentential code-switching and the most dominant type of code-mixing used was insertion. The most dominant reason of doing code-switching and code-mixing used was to maintain talking about a particular topic
ENHANCING STUDENTS WRITING SKILLS OF NARATIVE TEXT THROUGH TRANSITION-ACTION-DETAILS
Get PDFThe aimed of this research was to explain how the use of the Transition-Action-Details Strategy enhance students’ writing skills in narative text in creating the story. It was to explain how the TAD enhance students writing skills in narative text dealing with the organization of writing. Research design was classroom action research. The data for this study were gained through test, and observation, and the respondents were four semester students who used TAD activity. The study revealed that that TAD Strategy enhance students’ writing skill in narrative text Text. The students’ means score in cycle two test was (78.99). the result was much better than cycle one (67.94). Based on the result above it can be concluded that TAD could enhance sudents writing narative text
NEED ANALYSIS OF ENGLISH FOR ENGINEERING STUDENTS: A CASE STUDY
Get PDFAbstract: The purpose of this paper is to discuss the needs and abilities of engineers when it comes to the use of the English language in a learning environment. This was done in collaboration with a group of Engineering students from a Ponorogo vocational school. The purpose of this study was to ascertain how an English teacher instructs Electrical Engineering students in English. Additionally, to identify the types of English materials that the teacher and students of Electrical Engineering major require. The findings of this study indicate that all four critical language skills, particularly listening and speaking, are frequently used in the workplace. Additionally, it was discovered that technicians perceived themselves as ineffective English language users at work. They believed that some form of training would benefit their ability to communicate effectively at work. Additionally, it was noted that technicians had some unique requirements for English language proficiency that may not be covered in general English courses. THE EFFECTIVENESS OF INSTAGRAM FILTER TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY
Get PDFVocabulary becomes an important aspect to learn because it is the tool to recognize words’ meaning and sentences, and to create sentences, paragraphs and texts.  In order to improve students’ vocabularies, media are needed to help students memorize them. The aim of the research is to notice how effective Instagram filter in enhancing students’ vocabulary comprehension. For this reason, teacher should find an innovative media for teaching vocabulary to students in most interesting way. Lately, Instagram becomes the most widely used social networking platform. Most people spend a lot of time scrolling on Instagram just to have fun, find some information, or even to get new friends. This platform is served with feed, stories, reel, IG TV and IG filter. This study employed IG filter to be used as a media to teach vocabulary to students. This is based on what the researchers observed that most students in schools, in this case is high school, like to play with Instagram filters. This what makes the researchers interested in using Instagram filter as a media for teaching vocabularies. This research is designed as quasi experiment which is held in one of senior high schools in Jepara. The findings reveal that IG filter is effective and successful to be used as a media for teaching vocabulary and to improve students’ comprehension in vocabulary. The average score was in good category (86.33). While the N-gain score was 58.72% which is categorized as quite effective. It means that Instagram filters is quite effective as a learning media.Â
A Survey of Pre-Service English Teachers’ Reading Habits of English Text
Get PDFReading should become a habit for pre-service English teachers. The habit gives significant contribution in both academic and teaching performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the habit of reading English texts for pre-service English teachers. Data was collected through surveys and validation interviews. Questionnaires were distributed to 42 students of English Education at a university in Bogor, West Java using random sampling technique. This study found that the pre-service English teachers’ reading habits of English texts are not in the good category. Based on data analysis, it can be said that they have been reading English texts for more than 12 years. However, it turned out that during more than that period they were not used to reading well and some of them had expressed not having a good habit of reading English texts. This is because they do not read English texts regularly; they tend to read Indonesian texts more often. Some obstacles were identified in reading English texts, such as not being used to reading for a long time, and lack of vocabulary. On the other hand, they have a goal in reading, one of which is to increase their knowledge and English skills. This goal can be achieved by reading English texts regularly. Their plan is to read English texts regularly and ensure positive beliefs that are motivated by themselves, for the goals they want to achieve
Google Classroom Sebagai Solusi Pembelajaran Online di Sekolah Dasar
Get PDFPendidikan pada masa pandemi memberikan pengalaman berbeda bagi pendidik maupun siswa. Dalam keadaan darurat Covid-19, pemerintah Indonesia mengeluarkan kebijakan tentang pembelajaran jarak jauh dan pembelajaran daring agar siswa dapat belajar meski dalam keadaan social distancing. Transformasi digital guru dan siswa merupakan dampak dari proses pembelajaran selama pandemi sejak awal tahun 2020. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Sumber data adalah guru dan siswa di sekolah dasar negeri Sunter Jaya 03 Jakarta Utara. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan tehnik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi dengan instrument lembar wawancara serta catatan lapangan mengenai kegiatan pembelajaran selama pandemi covid-19 dengan menggunakan google classroom. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 80% penggunaan google classroom dalam proses belajar siswa pada masa pembelajaran jarak jauh dan pembelajaran daring lebih banyak digunakan karena alasan penggunaan kuota internet dan waktu yang lebih efisien, dibandingkan dengan menggunakan zoom atau google meet. Hal tersebut secara signifikan menunjukkan bahwa guru dapat memberikan solusi untuk pembelajaran online dengan memanfaatkan berbagai platform online salahsatunya produk google yaitu google classroom
