    Monitoring Noise Pollution in Urban Area Through SUNET System

    Modelling the sound pressure levels of traffic noise at any location in an urban area requires a series of steps in order to collect, collat and report data, in accordance with the European Community legislation (Directive 2002/49/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 June 2002). The  present paper presents a model performed through SUNET (System for Urban Noise and Eco-Traffic) system, including data collection equipment (Sound Metter Level UC2010-2, Weather Station (Tehno Line WS 550), software to process them (SoundPLAN) and harmonised indicators (Lden and Lnight - A-weighted long-term average sound level as defined in ISO 1996-2: 1987)  in order to validate the results. The  study  refers to a major road section in agglomeration Cluj-Napoca and considers all aspects regarding the urban area (type of road, architecture, buildings etc.) and traffic (speed, traffic composition, traffic density flow etc.). Measurements made in major roads in Cluj-Napoca reveal overcoming of limit values for almost all intervals of day. Even if for the road network from Cluj-Napoca, many actions were taken, like lower speed limits, heavy traffic prohibited, improved surface course, the maximum values allowed for 2012 are exceeded and more actions are needed in order to achieve these targets. Monitoring noise levels on the urban road network through the equipment and methods according to the law leads to actual results and an appropriate implementation of action plans

    The Influence of Fungicide Treatment on the Production and the Quality of Several Autumn Wheat Varieties

    The wheat production range from one year to another and is influenced by the climatic conditions, the cultivated variety and the presence of the pathogens which cause foliar and ear diseases. Also the quality of production (protein and gluten) is influenced by the pedological and climatic condition and diseases. The effect of the fungicide treatments in vegetation on the production and quality was studied in 2012-2013 at ARDS Turda, in the Phytopathology laboratory field. The study was conducted with five wheat varieties: Ariesan, Apullum, Turda 2000, Dumbrava and Andrada and the test variants were: no treatment (T0), one treatment, (T1) and two treatments (T2). The vegetation treatments have been carried out with the products Nativo (1l/ha) at the flag leaf appearance and Prosaro (1l/ha) at the end of the flowering. Since the Fusarium head blight, produced by different species of the genus Fusarium, is the most important disease in wheat crops and has a high impact on the quality and quantity of production, the percentage of diseased kernels was determined. The production was evaluated in kg/ha and the qualitative parameters were determined using the INSTALAB600 and AGRI CECK analyzer. Following the observations made and the statistical interpretation of data, we can say that applying vegetation treatments the percentage of diseased grains decreases compared to the control. The yield increases when treatment was applied. The gluten and the protein content recorded a slight decrease or increase, depending on the test variant; the ash content decreased when the treatments were applied on the vegetation period. The application of fungicide treatment on the vegetation is an important link in the wheat cultivation technology, ensuring the achievement quantitative and qualitative higher production

    The Behavior of Potato Mid-Early Varietis Concerning Production when Treatments with Unconventional Products Are Performed (2013-2014)

    The potato is a plant which has great importance for human nutrition, animal feed and industrial processing. Mid early potato varieties studied (Amelia, Robusta, Christian, Dacia, Impala and Roclas) reacted differently to the application of treatments wuth conventional and unconventional products. As is clear from the data obtained, the application of both conventional and unconventional treatments, the varieties taken into study, reacted differently to the application of the same treatments.We conclude that this is due to the effects of remineralization, rebalancing and regenerating of the metabolic processes of plants, nutrient content of main products, secondary products and trace elements acting on the plant cells, even in relatively unfavorable climatic conditions for potato culture

    Estimation of Efficiency of Bio- and Phytoremediation for Pesticides Contaminated Soil

    Natural recovery of environmental pollution - natural attenuation, - is a long-term process. Development of a bioremediation technology for polluted soil is a multi-step process, which requires the integrated application of several methods: stimulation of the indigenous microflora in the contaminated site, and addition of microorganism-destructors to the soil. Recently at the final stages of soil remediation the method of phytoremediation is actively used. To estimate the efficiency of bioremediation of pesticides contaminated soil, using stimulation of anaerobic or facultative anaerobic microflora and phytoremediation applied afterwards. The soil was collected nearby the former destroyed storehouse of POPs. Pesticide residues in soil were evaluated using GC/MS multiresidue method, and the complex pollution of DDTs and trifluralin was found. With a view to remediate this complex contamination, the polluted soil was treated in combined aerobic and anaerobic conditions during 3.5 months, then the method of phytoremediation was used. The trifluralin content was reduced to 4-6% of the initial amount in all experimental variants as a result of bioremediation in anaerobic/aerobic conditions. Phytoremediation had not significant effect on trifluralin decomposition - only 2-3%. Before phytoremediation DDT was decomposed on 27.5-29.0%. After the phytoremediation, the degradation of pesticide amounted 56.3-72.5%. This study has shown, that in the case of complex pollution, phytoremediation, as a method of supplementary remediation, was important for the decomposition of DDT and DDE, and it was not essential for the mineralization of DDD and trifluralin

    Monitoring Physiopathies Development in Ornamental Trees Located in High Traffic Urban Areas

    In our country, few studies have been developed in area of using of ornamental trees as pollution monitoring agents. Study of the behavior of several tree species usually used in ornamental aim within towns against air pollution, and identifying developed physiopaties and their correlations with air pollution sources. The study was developed during April - June 2014, on linden, pine, thuja, and chestnut trees located in a high populated place of Cluj - Napoca. Data were statistically processed using IBM SPSS 20 Office.The observational monitoring emphasize the presence of physiopaties specific symptoms on foliar tissue in majority of studied ornamental trees species. The laboratory analyse confirm the presence of high nitrogen and sulphur contents in sampled foliar tissue from tree species

    Use of Semiochemical Products in Monitoring and Control of Epicometis Hirta Poda

    Epicometis hirta Poda. is a dangerous pest which can be observed on annual crops and also on fruit tree species.The adult is a beetle can be easily recognized due to existing pubescence found all over it`s body. The pest causes damage by consuming the reproductive organs of flowers. Adults are phytophagous and feed on leaves and flowers of plants such as orchard trees, cereals or ornamental plans. The timeing chemical control against this species is very difficult considering that the moment of sprays application is during bloom,thus the pollinating entomofauna is affected. Therefore the need to develop alternative control methods is highlighted. Semiochemical products represent a method of perspective whereas involve only the target species. For this purpose the team of entomology discipline along with Institute of Chemistry “Raluca Ripan”colegues, tested the attractiveness of two new synthetic products which were placed in three types of traps (Type 1, Type 2, Type 3). Experiments were located in UASVM Cluj Napoca Orchard, fruit tree farm Steluța and fruit tree farm Agroindustriala Cluj Napoca. The best results were obtained by Type 1 trap, in all three locations

    Studies Regarding the Influence of some Bioproducts upon the Productivity of Local Populations of Tomato

    The bioproducts realised from microorganisms represent a major orientation in the modern agriculture, because are very well tolerated by the leaving creatures and nave no effect on the people. A very important role in plant protection have the bioproducts based on mycorrhizal fungi but also the products based on benefice bacteria. In the experiences were utilized three local populations of tomatoes: Hostáti, Roz and Inimă de bou. The bioproducts Mycosoil and Bactofil used in the experiences have influenced in a positive way the development of the plants but also the production of tometoes. The variety with the high productivity was Inimă de bou in the mycorrhized and Bordeux mixture treated variant

    The Influence of Fertilization and Perennial Grasses and Legumes Mixture on the Structure of Vegetation Cover in Temporary Meadows, under the Center of Moldova Conditions

    In S.C.D.A. Secuieni conditions, during 2013-2014, were carried out researches on the structure of vegetation cover, at five mixtures of perennial grasses and legumes, under the influence of some nitrogen fertilizers on a phosphorus agrofond. The obtained results revealed that the share of grasses in mixtures decreases from I scythe to the III scythe, instead the proportion of legumes increased. By increasing the dose of nitrogen fertilizer the competitiveness capacity of grasses increase at the expense of legumes and different species

    The Influence of the Phytosanitary Treatments Applied During Vegetation Period, on the Decay of the Stored Apples

    The overall quality and condition of fresh products cannot be improved after harvest, so a good crop husbandry is important in achieving good yields and quality. During storage there are three types of pathogens which occur: pathogens that infect and occur in vegetation and deposits, pathogens that infect in vegetation and occur only in storage and pathogens which infect and occur in storage. In this study we tried to determine if the treatments applied in the vegetation period influence in some way the quality and the decay of stored apples. In general, apples are affected by a high number of pathogens that produce qualitative decay during storage and this might be reduced by a good husbandry during vegetation and by decreasing the number of pathogens transported from field to storage
