The Influence of Nozzle Type on the Coverage Degree when Performing Phytosanitary Treatments

    No full text
Effectiveness of phytosanitary treatments is greatly influenced by the way how droplets are distributed on the plant, the coverage of all plant parts, regardless of their position (horizontal, vertical, inclined). Coverage has greater significance mostly using contact substances and can be modified by way of nozzle spraying, their droplet size and direction to the target surface. In order to improve the coverage degree, even using low quantities of active substances per hectare, the nozzles manufacturers developed a special nozzle with a double jet. This nozzle can have a symmetric or asymmetric jet. This way the plants are better covered and the coverage degree is improved. The multiple nozzles type trials attended showed that the coverage degree is not mostly influenced horizontally by the nozzle type. In vertical plane nozzle type is a decisive factor for increasing the coverage degree.e coverage degree is not mostly influenced horizontally by the nozzle type. In vertical plane nozzle type is a decisive factor for increasing the coverage degree

This paper presents the study of the maize hybrids created at A.R.D.S. Turda that belongs to three vegetation period: very early, early and semi-early. The hybrids were studied in three experiences: PG 1, PG 2, PG 3 in 2011 and 2012. The climatic conditions of the 2011 and 2012 years were totally different for the maize crop: the year 2011 can be considered in terms of the rainfall as very favourable for the maize crop, while the year 2012 was a particularly dry year. There were studied hybrids from each group by comparison to the older released hybrid in order to observe the progress made in the breeding process for  maize hybrids production, for stalking resistance and also precocity. For the characterization of the hybrids there were also followed other characters such as a thousand grain weight, silking data, physiological maturity date, the type of maturation, Ostrinia nubilalis attack resistance, hectolitre weight. Higher yield ability and better resistance to lodging was observed for the following hybrids included in the study: Turda SU 182 (very early hybrid), Turda Mold 188 (early hybrid), Turda Favorit and Turda Star (semi early hybrids). On the latest hybrids created at A.R.D.S. Turda it was noticed an improved resistance to lodging and stalking, but with a slight extension of the period of vegetation

The Influence of Humic Fertilizer on Morphological and Physiological Properties of Soybean Crop, in the Conditions of the Moldavian Plateau

    Get PDF
In this study we analized the influence of a humic fertilizer (Lignohumate) on some morphological and physiological characteristics of soybean plants. Lignohumate has a high humic acid content, and around 20% of its weight it`s represented by sodium and potassium. The study was conducted between 2010-2012, in the climatic conditions of the Moldavian Plateau (Ezăreni Farm, Iasi, 47°5' - 47°10' N latitude, 27° 28' - 27° 33' E longitude), on a terrain with 3-4% slope, cambic chernozem with clay loam texture, having medium to good fertility (medium stock of nitrogen and phosphorus and good stock of potassium), slightly acidic pH and a humus content of about 2.5-3.0%. There were applied four treatments, one on seeds and three on vegetation (2-3 leafs stage, before and after flowering). The leaf chlorophyll content, average number of pods per plant, number of plants per hectare and average plant height were determined. The average results of the experimental years have shown a positive influence of the humic fertilizer on the parameters we analyzed, the differences compared to the control being statistically assured. The treated plants had the average height with 3.7 cm higher, 2.2 more pods, and the chlorophyll content had values with 1.7 CCI higher compared to the untreated control

In the period 2007-2013, the budget sector research, development, innovation and technology transfer (RDITT) in Romania was about 4 billion euro, i.e. an average of about 0.47% of Romania's GDP in the seven years. By comparison, in the German State of Baden-Wuerttemberg (BW) is invested annually in RDITT about 5.1% of state GDP, the industrial sector contributes nearly 80% of investments. A decisive role in the development of the RDITT in BW it has RDITT catalyst institutions such as Max-Planck Society, Fraunhoffer Society, Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers, Innovation Alliance, Steinbeis Foundation. This research aims to reveal the huge potential and benefits it can bring research, innovation and technology transfer in sustainable development of agriculture in Romania using catalyst institutions model. The material used in this study was experts of academia, experts of economics, promoting documents and laboratories visited at the University of Tubingen and at the Natural and Medical Sciences Institute of Reutlingen, Germany. The methods used were documentation, real visiting of the two institutions and analysis the facts and the documents. The conclusion is that using the European models of technology transfer (especially the German model), all the benefits will be found in the future in Romanian economy, bringing added value to the quality of life and wellbeing

The studied area is presented as a depression called Aries Lower Valley, represented a contact unit, located between the Transylvanian Plain and Plateau Măhăceni , being a part of a wider close to the mountains area called Alba Iulia Aiud- Turda Valley. Taking place on approximately 50 km long, at the exit of the Aries River at MoldoveneÈ™ti-Buru Gorges, east of Trascău Mountains, with a width of 9-10 km, this territory is bounded on the west by the Mesozoic magmatic rocks of Piatra Secuiului area (Pop, 2001) and limestone strip of Trascău Mountains. The Aries Lower Valley represents a complex geographical unit located in a geomorphological contact area, with own geographical traits, were local natural factors influenced the suitability for the different forms of land-use. The orographic features resulting from the combination of elements like climate, hydrology, vegetation and soils cover gave a kind of coherence and unity for this geographical region
