    The Conservation Measures of NATURA 2000 "Someșul Rece" Site Management Plan

    Natura 2000 is a European network of protected natural areas including a significant number of natural habitats and wild species for the interest of comunnity. Natura 2000 ROSCI 0233 "Someșul Rece"  Site is situated in the south-western county of Cluj, on the administrative territory of Măguri-Răcătău and Ierii Valley. It has an area of 8529 ha and is a framed area of the Apuseni Mountains Alpine bioregions. The site preserves the following natural habitats: Rough mountain beech forests Asperulo-Fagetum, beech forests of Luzulo-Fagetum, forests acidophilous Picea Abies mountain region and protect important species and active fish fauna, flora and fauna of the Apuseni Mountains. It is also home for several species (mammals, amphibians, fish and beetles) like: lynx, wolf or otter. The conservation measures of Natura 2000 Somesul Rece Site, elaborated in order to protect the habitats and the species are part of the management plan. These measures were developed in close connection with the conservation status of habitats and species, but also taking into account the needs of local communities. These measures include: maintaining habitats in favorable conservation status; maintain the current habitat areas; preventing and combating poaching and overfishing;ensuring peace in areas of rock (for large mammals)

    Rheological Behavior of Some Starch - Based Bioplastics

    The recent interest in the field of bioplastics is to obtain packaging material from pure starch without synthetic polymers. The rheological behaviour represents one of the most important feature of such materials. Samples with different ratio of starch, glycerol and water were prepared and investigate regarding their rheological behaviour. After the samples reaches their limit of swelling and were completely decomposed viscosity was measured with a Brookfield DV-III Ultra rheometer at different temperatures and share rates. The data were analyzed with Kaleidagraph software. For a given sample our measurements show that the viscosity is dependent on share rate and switches from a non-Newtonian to a Newtonian behaviour in function of temperature and sample composition. We used the power law model to describe this dependence and for a given set of data there is only one output for the fit parameters. We consider the best fit of the experimental data when the curve traced by the computer passes almost through all experimental points. In the present research work we establish a particular algorithm of mathematical analysis of experimental data which allows a separation of the contribution of each variable to the viscosity

    Study of the Influence of External Factors on the Germination of Bean Seeds

    The aim of our study was to follow the influence of the substrate, (single respectively double filter paper), the environment conditions (light, darkness), of the seed`s measure and age, on the beans germination. These aspects were followed because the specialty literature correlates the loss of the germinative capacity with different external and internal factors. Three local varieties: P1 (Albenghino), P2 (Cannellini), P3 (Black Turtle), grown in Maramures County, with undetermined growth and different permeability of the seminal skin, were chosen for the experiment. One hundred seeds of every sort were placed in three replications. The energy and germinative faculty were determined, calculating the average values obtained at the replications. We noted that the P2 variety had the highest germinative faculty of 83.33% on double layer under light conditions, and the germination of 100% under darkness. The P1 variety is on the second place. The germinative faculty of the P3 variety is of only 70% on a single substrate and 80% on double layer. The germinative energy and faculty of the seeds provided from 2013 are diminished comparatively with those from 2014. The local population P3 proved to be more influenced by age, with a germinative energy of 30% in 2013 and 60% in 2014. The positive influence of the darkness conditions, both for the seeds provided from 2013 and 2014, was noted

    This paper is a case report, which analyzes in terms of quality the negotiation process from two particular standpoints: the banking and project management areas. Although the domain of the legal persons credits analysis, and that developing project management are relatively similar, since both treat the analysis, development and implementation of projects for business, yet each of these fields has their own peculiarities, determined primarily by the fact that: while, as a credit analyst, you are the bank ”consultant” (you represent the financing party) and you promote its interests, as a project manager you are the the customer`s ”consultant” (meaning the legal entity beneficiary of funding). Therefore, although the areas of activity are related, the manner of reporting differs systematically: top-bottom or bottom-up. The research methods are based on the analysis of the instances encountered in practice, the study taking into account over two hundred credit analysis and over thirty written and/or implemented projects. Our study shows that depending on which side of the negotiating table the subject is located (the positions of the financier or financed), then the practice of projects implementing (in both cases) demonstrates that all the situations presented are real, possible, often encountered and the best tactics in solving them is prevention, avoiding to reach sensitive situations, completed by a professional, honest and cooperative attitude maintained throughout the entire project implementation

    Study of the Drying Phenomenon in Pine Trees

    The history of the pine forests in our country has not only a decorative action, but also important consequences on soil stability and air quality n large areas. As all other forest tree species pine is sensitive to climatic changes, of which appearance is more and more claimed all over the world. One of the most harmful effects of this reality may be represented, as direct consequence, by pine trees drying. Nominating the main causes responsible for degradation of pine forests as direct consequence of drying phenomena, and identification of possible implications of temperature increase in concerned area, as consequence of climatic changes. Two years trial was implemented in Mureș County, during 2013, in a pine forest. The raw data were processed with STATISTICA v. 7.0 Office. The importance of identification of complex factors affecting the drying in pine forests is reflected by the extension of this phenomenon. Further research is needed in order to identify the best practices for diminishes the harmful consequences of drying rhythm in pine tree forests

    Research on the Identification of Carcinogenic Substances in Some Environmental Components in Ilfov County

    Identifying potentially carcinogenic substances in the environment represents the primary action step that should be taken in order for us to claim to have a healthy and safe agriculture. Unfortunately, this is not always the case and our foods and waters may not be as safe as we believe them to be. The present elaborate had the purpose of identifying possible carcinogenic contaminants, in a direct correlation with the culture environment - water source and soil, in Ilfov county, Romania. Water: 14 samples were collected from household wells, targeted for the analysis of various chemical and physical parameters, including nitrates, nitrites, pesticides, dioxins, furans, etc. The results have shown a scattered level of pollution with nitrates of the groundwater aquifers, due to the incorrect administration of fertilizers that has especially affected the individual wells from the investigated areas. Soil: 32 crop soil samples were harvested from the upper level (0-20cm, belonging to the same areas as the water samples. Various quantities of mineral nitrogen were determined, either as nitrates or as nitrites. No carcinogens, from the groundwater aquifers investigated, with sufficient levels to contaminate the soil and affect the agricultural products were identified. The analysed water is fit for agricultural irrigations, but is not to be used for human consumption. For soils, the extremely spread distribution of the nitrogen proves that the nitrogen based fertilizers are being used in an irrational manner, thus the danger for environment pollution and for the alteration of animal and human health. The presence of potentially toxic metals was also investigated, elements that, except for arsenic, turned out to be within normal limits.The investigated elements from the Berceni, Glina, Popești-Leordeni and Ulmi areas do not present any significant dangerous quantities which proved the fact that the local agricultural technology is functioning normally, producing vegetal and animal foods free of elements with a potentially carcinogenic effect. The rest of the investigated areas, respectively Buda, Bragadiru, Măgurele, Vidra and Copăceni, have shown the presence of potentially carcinogenic elements that exceed the normal limit, most likely based on an improperly implemented agricultural technology

    Conservation of Genetic Diversity in Beans (Phaseolus vulgaris)

    In the last two decades, both on International and European level a series of treaties and laws have been devised in order to save local varieties of crop plants. The most important methods of traditional seed conservation are on farm and ex situ (Maxim et al., 2010; Kontoleonet al., 2009). The identification of local Romanian varieties of bean, their morphological and agronomic description, seed production and its spreading in the purpose of genetic erosion reduction. Their have been taken into study 13 local varieties of bean. For the morphological description descriptors have been used accordingly to the IPGRI (International Plant Genetic Resources Institute). For the evaluation of the diseases attack, frequency (F%), intensity (I%) and degree of attack (GA%) have been calculated.The exchanges of seed between farmers were facilitated through the online catalog edited by the Eco Ruralis Association that promotes traditional seeds. Of the 13 local varieties of beean taken into study, two are with determined growth(15.3%), and 11 are with undetermined growth(84.7%). The most significant production of pods on the plant was documented on local variety MM 1039 (2.736kg), and the most significant production of beans on plant was documented on local variety HD 904 (1.156kg). The most resistant varieties against bacterian attack, anthracnose, aphids and rust were: SJ 890, CJ 909, CV 917 și HD 1159. The growing phenomenon of genetic erosion implies the indentification and the conservation of crop plants. In the year 2015, 13 local varieties of bean have been taken into study that were used for conservation in seeds` genbank and for the exchange of seeds between farmers

    A Forage Mixture with Red Clover in the Fourth Experimental Year

    The present paper aims to follow the behaviour of a forage mixture with red clover in the fourth experimental year. We followed the behaviour of a complex mixture consisting of Trifolium pratense (15%), Lolium perenne (20%), Festulolium (25%), Festuca arundinacea (25%) and Phleum pratense (15%) under the influence of mineral fertilization in the climatic conditions specific Plateau of Transylvania, Romania. Experience was installed in the spring of 2012 in experimental fields located inside the Agricultural Research and Development Station Turda. The mixture was sown on 2 densities namely 12.5 cm and 25 cm distances between rows and they were fertilized in early March with complex NPK and ammonium nitrate (33.3%) in four different doses: V1 - control variant, unfertilized, V2-N50P60K80, V3- N75P60K80 and V4 -N100P60K80. An interesting evolution of the forage mixture was observed in the fourth experimental year. Fertilization with N75P60K80 seemed to have a favourable influence on forage mixture productivity.Â

    Studies Concerning the Quality of Felix Soybean Breed

    Soy protein is the most inexpensive source of high-nutritional quality protein and therefore is the world`s predominant commercially available vegetable protein. In order to keep this levels of fat and proteins at higher standards studies need to be develop in order to highlight the factors affecting soybean quality. The aim of our research was to analyse the variations in soybean protein and fat content and thru this to highlight the optimum management of nutrients for achieving high quality soy products. The experimental field was placed in the Agricultural Research Development Turda (ARDS) in 2013. The biological material consists in a genotype of soybean created at ARDS Turda - Felix variety. The experimental plots were installed after the subdivided parcel method and were fertilized with mineral and organic fertilizers in 4 different doses. In order to accomplish our goal we followed soy content in protein and fat under the influence of the inputs applied. Analysing the data recorded we observed a low influence of the experimental factors on soybean seeds content in fat substances. In the same time the protein content varies significantly under the influence of the technological inputs applied.  The highest increases in protein content are achieved when organic fertilizer is applied.  The results showed an interesting evolution of soybean chemical content under the influence of differentiated fertilization and also some interesting correlation between chemical content and some production indexes

    Finite Element Method Study on Stress State in Soil Induced by Agricultural Traffic

    In general, when a tyre is running on a deformable soil, the soil compaction will occur not only on surface layers, but also on soil profile, in deeper layers. This leads to a series of negative effects not only on physical and mechanical properties of soil, but also influences the crops growth and the crop yield. For these reasons, currently are needed solutions to reduce soil compaction, caused mainly by agricultural implements passing on the soil surface in order to aply the specific crop production technologies. From our simulation we can draw the following conclusions: the soil stresses decreased with depth; the soil displacements magnitude increased with soil water content due to lower friction forces between soil particles (water acts like a lubricant between soil particles); decreasing rate for soil displacement is influenced by load magnitude and tyre inflation pressure; the soil particles moved in vertical plain from the top to the bottom, but also in horizontal direction, from the center to the edge in cross section and in longitudinal direction; the dimensions of the geometric shape of the mentioned soil volume is influenced by load and tyre inflation pressure. In this paper the agricultural traffic and its influence on stress state in soil, it was used a software application based on Finite Element Method, that has been proved to be a useful tool for soil compaction assessment in order to find the right decisions for a proper field traffic management
