Research Regarding the Influence of Folliar Fertilization on Plant Assimilation, Grain Yield and Quality of Wheat, in the Transylvanian Field Conditions
The researches were carried out during the 2016-2017 vegetation period using the wheat variety Andrada and the perspective line T. 123-11 created at ARDS Turda, which were treated with 3 types of foliar fertilizers: Folimax Gold (V2 -2 treatments, V3-3 treatments) Folimax Oleo (V4-2 treatments and V5-3 treatments) and Microfert U (V6-3 treatments) applied in two and three treatments in different phenophases of crop development. The measurements on the assimilation (An = μmol CO2 m-2s-1) and leaf evapotranspiration (Evap- mmol H2O m-2s-1) were performed on a stindard leaf, 5 days after the last foliar fertilizer treatment in June, for each variant, from the 3 reps. The application of nitrogen foliar fertilizers resulted in the increase of the leaf surface, the nitrogen content of the leaves, increasing net assimilation for all variants, evapotranspiration and production. Andrada wheat variety advanced a higher oscillation of net assimilation (An) (from 28.5-32.7 μmol CO2m-2s-1), higher evapotranspiration (Evap) (1.97-2.33 mmol H2O m-2s-1) and the production was over 7300 kg/ha in foliar fertilized variants in all three vegetation phenophases. The perspective line T. 123-11 recorded slightly lower assimilation values (An) than Andrada wheat, being more clustered (from 30-31.7 μmol CO2 m-2s-1) and evapotranspiration (1.60-1.90 mmol of H2O m-2s-1) and also productions of more than 8100 kg/ha in 3 foliar fertilization variants, using the foliar fertilizer more efficiently and water in tissues. The highest quality indices were obtained with 3 foliar fertilization variants, obtaining values between 10.9 and 11.3% for proteins, for gluten between 21.3 and 21.6% and for the Zeleny 30.8 and 34.1% for Andrada lower than T. 123-11 with protein values between 11.7 and 14.0 % and gluten content of 23.4 and 28.3%, respectively the Zeleny index from 40.0 to 54.4%
GALIUM SPECIES - POLYPHENOLIC CONTENT AND THEIR ANTIOXIDANT POTENTIAL
The genus Galium is well represented in the spontaneous Romanian flora. Three Galium species are more commonly used in therapy, Galium aparine L. or cleavers, Galium odoratum (L.) Scop. or woodruff and Galium verum L. or lady’s bedstraw. Tinctures preparated from aerial part of these species was chemically analyzed and their antioxidant activity was evaluated. The total phenylpropane derivatives and total flavonoids contents were determined by spectrophotometrically methods. The antioxidant capacity was evaluated in vitro by FRAP, CUPRAC and xanthine oxidase inhibition methods. The results showed that the tinctures were rich in polyphenols and had a strong antioxidant capacity, which is confirmed by all used methods. A good correlation between the antioxidant capacity and the content of polyphenols could be highlighted
The Influence of Biostimulants on the Growth and Some Physiological Processes of Three Bean Cultivars
Biostimulants contribute to plant nutrition, they have positive effects on plant growth. Research has focused on the influence of biostimulators on germination capacity, the height of stem, also we determined the total chlorophyll content with the CCM plus 200 and the stomatal conductance with SC1 leaf porometer.The bifactorial experience was conducted in a pots experiment in randomized blocks with three repetitions. The application of biostimulants (Cropmax and Atonik) was done every ten days by foliar spraying throughout the vegetation period.Biostimulants in this study had a positive influence of the physiological processes followed in the three cultivars of beans. These products can be used successfully for both and the treatment of seed and the treatments applied to the phases of the growing season. The best results were recorded of bean plants treated with Cropmax
Research Concerning the Fighting of Polystigma rubrum Fungi under the Climate Conditions of Șomcuta Mare Area
In this study, our goal was to survey the influence of the climate conditions, the behavior of the Centenar and Anna Spath varieties on the attack of the Polystigma rubrum fungi during the two experimental years (2013, 2014), in order to make recommendations for new plantations. Nine fungicides were tested, being determined their biologic efficiency, in order to identify the most efficient products. The experimental research was performed during 2013 and 2014, in a fruit tree farm belonging to SC Pomicola SA trade company in Somcuta Mare, Maramures county. The attack was calculated by determining the frequency, intensity and the attack degree. The agrometeorological data were recorded using the AgroExpert system, for surveying the biology of fungi. The linear-interrupted laying method was used, each made up of 5 plants/variant in three repetitions/product. The biologic efficiency of the tested products was lower at the Anna Spath variety than at the Centenar variety due to its sensitivity; the recommended products: Folicur Solo 250EW, Dithane M45 and Syllit 400 SC were the most efficient in the fungi combating

Therefore, nowadays, the consumers’ attention is focused on chemical composition of food and they try to avoid the processed one. Aromatic plants could be a possible source of natural bioactive compounds which can be used as a raw material in food processing industry. Spices such as cumin (Cuminum cyminum L) are used for flavouring food, in medicine, with pharmaceutical objectives or therapeutic effects. Chamomile plant it is considered an amazing medicinal one, being the most widely used in all over the world. Due to its pleasant taste and its calming, sedative, therapeutically and medicinal effects, this plant is used in different industries. The chemical composition of chamomile is rich in total phenols, organic acids, terpenes, flavonoids, fatty acids, tocopherols, carotenoids and volatile compounds. The main product manufactured from chamomile is essential oil, recognized thanks to its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, fungicidal, vermifuge, aromatherapy and antioxidant properties. Roman and German chamomile are the most common species from Asteraceae family being used in the production of tea, essential oils, products with medicinal and pharmaceutical uses and food industry
Arbuscular Mycorrhizae Morphotype-Based Identification Using Optical Microscopy
Structures of different AM taxa found in symbiosis with plants can stain from intense to weak after roots preparation for microscopy. Although arbuscules are distinctive features of AM, their overall shape can vary in association with two proliferation types: Arum and Paris. Auxiliary cells and vesicles are not omnipresent. Intraradical hyphae can present divergent types: straight/coiled, with “Y”/“H” connections. According to spore formation, there are five main AM morphotypes. Spore-based species identification takes into account: color, shape, size of spores and sporocarps as well as structures associated with them (cicatrix, pedicel, peridium, sporiferous saccule, sporogenous cell, subtending hypha). Lavender (or French lavender) is a plant that has gained a lot of popularity in Romania in recent years, both for aromatic and medicinal use, as well as for ornamental purposes. Volatile oil consists of numerous monoterpenic compounds, predominantly linalool (freely or esterified - especially as acetate) and esters, triterpene acids, coumarins, flavones, resins, a bitter principle, polyphenols (eg rosmarinic acid). The production and quality of volatile oil are greatly influenced by pedoclimatic conditions. For therapeutic purposes, inflorescences or volatile oil can be used in aromatherapy, inhalation or massage, with beneficial action in neurological diseases (including migraines, insomnia, epilepsy) - relaxing, antispasmodic, anticonvulsant and neuroprotective action (anticonvulsive and neuroprotective); carminative, analgesic, sedative, hypotensive, antimicrobial, antifungal, antitussive, collagogue, choleretic, diuretic, general tonic, cardiotonic and tonic aperitif, deodorant and many others
Aspects of Chemical Composition and Somatic Cell count of Cow Milk Marketed at Dispensers
Milk quality is influenced by many factors: lactation, fat, protein, lactose, number of somatic cells. In order to process raw milk and compare with criteria of quality and food safety the Regulation of European Parliament and the council no. 853/2004. Analysing the total number of somatic cells (SCC) in the period July-August 2017 it is noted that in case of samples collected from first automatic milk dispenser exceed 2 times the maximum admissible values and the samples collected from second automatic milk dispenser are up to the maximum allowable values which show that milking hygiene and animal health are at the European standards required. Analysis of fat content for both cases indicates that it is within the standard values for cow's milk and fat variations for DM1 samples are very low at temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius which shows that high temperatures do not influence these parameters. The biological material study was represented analysed by 30 samples of milk from only two cow milk dispensers functional located in this period in Cluj-Napoca city. These samples were collected at the same time period during July-August months. The aim of present study is to determine whether milk marketed through dispensers under the high temperature conditions specific to this period is affected in terms of qualitative parameter analysis
