The role overload and resources have not been studied with the relationship of employee engagement in emergency services (Rescue-1122) in Pakistan. Data was collected from 154 employees using adopted questionnaire. The respondents are Fire Rescuers (FR), Lead fire rescuers (LFR), DERT (Disaster emergency response team) Rescuer, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Divers only of district Mardan. The WarpPLS was used for data analysis and concluded the negative impact of role overload on employee engagement, while positive impact of resources on employee engagement in Rescue-1122, Mardan. Thus, the present study provides help to top brass of the organization during formulation of strategy in order to overcome the problem of role overload which eventually affects employee engagement

This study looks into various aspects of strategy execution in the context of higher education institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Pakistan). Most studies on this subject have been conducted in developed countries leaving much room for understanding in a context characterized by a weak regulatory framework, unique socio-cultural traditions, and a complex political environment in a country like Pakistan. A standardized questionnaire was used to collect data from respondents selected through stratified random sampling technique in both academic and administrative sections of universities. The Structure Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed for exploratory and confirmatory factory analyses while Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM 3.0) was used for the measurement of path models of the study. The results show that the role of middle management was significant in terms of championing alternative strategic options, synthesizing information, and executing deliberate strategy whereas it was insignificant in facilitating adaptability. The results of this study have theoretical significance in that it looks at strategy implementation from the perspective of a developing country. Practically, the results suggest giving more power to middle management in all aspects of strategic management. The results, however, have to be understood with some of the study’s limitations that have been discussed later at length

Access to appropriate learning resources is crucial for effective education, especially at the elementary level. This study aims to investigate the impact of the non-availability of books on students\u27 achievement in District Peshawar, Pakistan. The focus is specifically on the absence of textbooks in elementary schools and its consequences on students\u27 academic performance. The research employs an experimental design, involving a sample of elementary school students from various schools in District Peshawar. The study group consists of students who have access to textbooks, while the control group comprises students without access to textbooks due to non-availability. Both groups are assessed based on their academic achievements, using standardized tests and assessments tailored to the curriculum. The findings of this study demonstrate that the non-availability of textbooks significantly affects students\u27 academic achievement. The group of students with access to textbooks exhibits higher scores and improved performance compared to the group without textbooks. The absence of books hinders the students\u27 ability to engage with the curriculum effectively, leading to a lack of conceptual understanding and limited knowledge acquisition. Furthermore, the study explores the impact of non-availability of books on other aspects of education, such as classroom dynamics, teaching methodologies, and teacher-student interactions. A NOVEL FRAMEWORK FOR ANALYZING INTERNAL BRAND MANAGEMENT IN THE BANKING SECTOR: A PROBABILISTIC APPROACH

This study proposes an internal branding index for the banking sector by using a weighted linear equation that is defined by using six dimensions of internal brand management practices. This study discusses a quantitative framework for monitoring the quality of the internal brand management practices in the banking sector. The framework is based on an index, which is discussed under two scenarios when the purpose is to monitor internal brand management practices among the same type of banks and among banks of different types, for instance, public, private, and mortgage banks. Both mathematical and numerical procedures for the selection of optimum weights are discussed. Concepts of Bernoulli distribution, binomial distribution, Poisson distribution, and matrix algebra, are used in the development of the proposed index. The computation of the proposed index requires quantitative acumen; nonetheless, organizations can train existing personnel or hire a statistician or data scientist. Although this would mean an increase in costs in the short term, it can result in long-term benefits such as improved brand image, a motivated workforce, and increased market share. This is the pioneering study that presents a holistic index for monitoring the internal brand management practices. The framework is generic and it can be applied on the banking sector of any country

NEED OF 7S IN SERVICE OPERATION ENVIRONMENT AS COMPARED TO 5S AND 6S

Manufacturing companies distinguish themselves by their operational efficiency and the quality of their products. The 5S and 6S methodologies are commonly used in service operations to enhance efficiency and productivity. Although there are some similarities between these approaches and the 7S technique, there are also notable differences. The 7S technique can be applied in service operations to improve efficiency and productivity by focusing on the spirit element. This study analyzes the significance of the spirit element in the 7S technique and assesses the effectiveness of 5S, 6S, and 7S in service operations. Furthermore, it aims to identify the necessity of the 7S approach in organizations where 5S and 6S are already being used efficiently. The research employs a quantitative methodology and the results indicate that 60% to 79% of the respondents believe that spirit is a crucial aspect of the 7S technique and has positive outcomes. Encouraging a positive spirit can enhance teamwork, motivate and engage employees, and instill a sense of ownership among them. The 7S technique emphasizes an organization\u27s shared values and culture, which can create a positive work environment, encourage employee engagement, improve communication, to lead to better performance
