Research Questions in the Research Process: Nature and Significance: تحقیقی عمل میں استفسارات ِتحقیق :نوعیت اور اہمیت
The research process emerges from numerous factors, progressing through several stages from the selection of a topic to the final submission of the dissertation. Among these stages, the presentation of the research outline holds significant importance after the topic selection. The research outline consists of several key components, one of which is the research questions. In research, questions are categorized into two types. The first type includes questions that are part of quantitative or psychological critique, primarily concerning the provision of data, with a focus on the public. The second type comprises questions aimed at achieving the objectives of the research within the framework of the outline. This paper, titled "Research Questions in the Research Process: Nature and Significance," addresses the second category. The paper draws from various works that focus on research and research outlines. It is an attempt to fill a gap in the literature and serves as a step toward simplifying the research journey for novice researchers
Literature Produced During the COVID-19 Pandemic: کرونا وبا میں تخلیق شدہ ادب
In the early 2020\u27s, the Corona Epidemic (also called COVID-19) affected every walk of life and all aspects of social life underwent many changes. Like other fields, Urdu literature was also deeply affected. Many writers and poets felt the crisis and spoke of its pain, attitudes of people and tragedies associated with Corona crises. Especially when the virus spread all over the world, professional and amateur writers and poets alike made this important tragedy their subject through their articles and poetry. A variety of communication media were used for this, including newspapers, weekly journals, social media and literary magazines. Apart from this, novels were also written on this subject and Corona crisis was also made the subject in poetry. From the point of view of literary studies, such a creative writing on the Corona crisis is an interesting trend.
Many new trends can be noticed by looking at the creative writings during the Corona epidemic. Many words were used so frequently that they became part of Urdu literature such as social distance, lockdown, quarantine, mask and loneliness etc. were frequently used in the writings. Similarly, the psychological effects of the Corona crisis can be felt in the writings. The helplessness of the patients, the loneliness caused by lockdown and the economic hardships, these were the difficulties which were felt by the authors and were made subject in the writings.
This research study examines the psychological review of the selected literary works and examines the effects of the epidemic on the writings of authors. Study will cover and see uuniqueness of Urdu creative writings due to the practices of lockdown, quarantine, social distances and isolation. It is studied that what were the authors’ feelings & how he/she expressed his/her feelings and what are the psychological effects of the epidemic on the creative writings
STUDENTS\u27 INTELLECTUAL-HUMILITY AND COGNITIVE-FLEXIBILITY: THE ROLE OF MINDFULNESS AS A MEDIATOR
The primary objective of this study was to explore the inter-connections among mindfulness, cognitive flexibility, and intellectual humility in adult’s population. Additionally, the research aimed to investigate the mediating role of mindfulness in this association between cognitive flexibility and intellectual humility with different demographic differences (age, gender, and culture). Sample of 800 students selected from Hazara University, Mansehra (HU), and the University of AJK. The study employed a convenient sampling method. The results indicated a significant association between the study as well as demographics differences exists among study variables. In conclusion, this study contributes to our understanding of the connections between mindfulness, cognitive flexibility, and intellectual humility in a student context. The findings suggest that cultivating mindfulness may enhance cognitive flexibility and intellectual humility, with demographic factors playing a role in shaping these psychological attributes. This study has practical implications for enhanced academic performance, effective stress management, improved decision-making, life-long learning, personal well-being, critical thinking skills, adaptability in changing environments and positive interpersonal relationships
Prevalence of Musculoskeletal Conditions Among Cricketers in Sindh, Pakistan
Objective: To determine how common musculoskeletal disorders are among cricket players in Sindh. Methodology: A cross-sectional investigation was conducted. Data from 116 professional Cricket players from various cricket players were gathered using a straightforward sample approach and the Nordic musculoskeletal questionnaire. The latest version of SPSS, version 25, was used to analyze the data. Results: There were 56.9% batters, 26.7%, Bowlers (Fast bowlers and Spin bowlers), 12.1% all-rounders (bowling all-rounder and batting all-rounder), and 4.3% wicketkeepers among the 116 professional players. The respondents\u27 average age was 23.11 years. Lower back and shoulder regions were the two most often involved areas. Conclusion: Cricketers frequently suffered musculoskeletal ailments. The most often injured areas were the lower back, shoulder, and lower limbs, which were generally strained and sprained
THE MEDIATING ROLE OF ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT BETWEEN PAY SATISFACTION AND ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR: A STUDY OF PAY DISPERSION IN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN
This study has a two-fold, to find out pay disparity among the federal government employees and to examine the justification of such disparity if exist. Furthermore, the study indented to investigate the impact of pay satisfaction (PS) on organizational citizenship behavior (OCBs with mediating role of Organizational commitment (OC). Documented analysis of pay slips were conducted to analyzed the level of pay variation considering the gross pay of the employees at federal level in the same pay scale. Actual pay slips of 90 employees were analyzed for this purpose, where significant pay differences were noted by equally place (BPS) employees in same scale. Moreover, 22 participants participated through semi structure interview to provide information regarding such pay disparity. For achieving the second purpose of the study, a conceptual model was drawn connecting PS and OCB with OC as mediating variable. To test the conceptual model, structured questionnaires were used to collect the data from the employees of public sector organizations. Total 251 respondents of eight public sector organizations participated in the study. During analysis of the data, it was observed that PS positively effects OCBs. Moreover, the results also revealed that this relationship is mediated by OC. These findings point out that when there is pay disparity, there will displeasure among the employees. Further, PS significantly affects employees’ OCBs, and OC. The study advocated that a consistent pay structure will improve employees’ OCBs, and OC which ultimately improve organizational performance
IMPACT OF THE FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP DIMENSIONS ON ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE IN DIVERSE ORGANIZATION IN PAKISTAN
This paper examines the connections among the dimensions of functional leadership of situation clarification, strategy clarification, coordination leadership, and organizational performance within highly gender-diverse organizations in Pakistan. A sample of 500 employees from universities in Pakistan was taken. The data collection process was conducted among the university employees. For data analysis PLS-SEM through SmartPLS3 was employed. The results of the study indicate that within the higher education sector in Pakistan, the distinct dimensions of functional leadership of situation clarification, strategy clarification and coordination leadership individually exert a positive and noteworthy influence on organizational performance. These results carry strong message for leaders to adopt and apply these functional leadership dimensions to improve the overall performance of the organization. The findings strongly support the notion that implementing effective functional leadership dimensions of situation clarification, strategy clarification and coordination leadership can significantly enhance organizational performance. The outcomes robustly affirm the idea that the efficacy that these dimensions of functional leadership are pivotal in augmenting organizational performance
Policy and Administrative Practices – A Study of District Education Officers
The role of District Education Officers has been redefined due to the rapid growth in technology and new trends in education. The study was carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to compare institutional policies with the actual practices of the District Education Officers to identify gaps for remedial solutions. District Education Officers (male and female) were included in the study. In addition, four provincial-level officers were chosen as key informants for interviews. The data were analyzed and interpreted by statistical instruments. The gaps between policies and practices of District Education Officers that emerged from the study included a need for more in-service training in Computer Literacy, Office Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Planning & Development, and Communication Skills. The study also found a need for more awareness of District Education Officers about the policies. In order to fill up the gaps, the study recommended that the officers involved in formulating, implementing, and evaluating policies should be trained to develop their knowledge and skills in the relevant area. 
Diversification in Islamic Seminaries: An Approach to Integrated Education System
This qualitative study aims to investigate the need for diversification of Islamic seminaries. The inclusion of contemporary sciences is needed not only to benefit society but to improve and widen the scope of the seminaries. The acceptability of the seminaries graduates to the employer would become extensive and they could be merged into the mainstream of the public sector. Phenomenology was used as an inquiry technique for which purposive sampling was employed. The sampling size of this study was comprised of six respondents, each two were purposively selected from the Madrasas students who had quit school education for joining Madrasa in class 9th, two were selected from the public sector high school principals, and the remaining two were selected from the Madrasas Mohtamin (HoDs). The data was collected through semi-structured face-to-face interviews and then thematically analyzed. The findings of the study showed the infrastructure of the seminaries is shabbily cramped and is not up to the mark. Some administrators were also reluctant to accept the diversification, as they considered it an onslaught on the very culture of Madrasas. Moreover, the government is also spending very little amount in this sector of education. This study recommends that the government enlarge its budget for the improvement of seminaries and the administrators of the Madrasas also ought to be flexible in the diversification of Islamic seminaries
THE IMPACT OF PROBLEMS IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING ON HOSPITALITY EMPLOYMENT: THE CASE OF VAN
This research examines the learning difficulties of English as a second language and the reflections of tourism-related companies on this issue. The problems related to English language teaching are often reflected in organizations operating in the tourism sector. This study focuses on investigating these problems in the context of Van. Using a mixed-method approach, a questionnaire was administered to 114 prospective tourism employees who aim to work in the sector in Van. Additionally, interviews were conducted with the human resources departments of companies operating as employers in the sector. The results indicate that students who choose to study in the field of tourism show low interest and motivation in learning the second language. They tend to prioritize acquiring language skills based on professional experience and obligations rather than during their academic studies
AN EFFECTIVENESS SCAN OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM OF KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA
This study target Health Insurance Program by government of KP, its budget allocation and utilization, level of awareness, and patient demographic profiles. The study also covers disease coverage and the minimum and maximum cost of the diseases. The study\u27s population is the three major Medical Teaching Institutions (MTIs) of Peshawar. Sample of the study comprises 9,000 patients selected using purposive sampling approach from 2018 to 2020. The findings show that a lower average budget utilization ratio accounts for a lower level of public awareness. The study found that males dominate females by 55% in availing the Sehat Sahulat facility. The cardiac issue is the most common disease treated by the program. These findings are expected to assist policymakers in developing strategies for utilizing the program\u27s resources. MTIs and insurance firms\u27 managers may emphasize diseases cured and higher budget utilization ratios. Furthermore, policymakers may address less-covered areas and patient characteristics through awareness seminars to ensure the program\u27s effectiveness. Finally, the study adds to the current literature by including imperial evidence from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; Pakistan in the program. Future studies may address comparative analysis of the said program with the other insurance coverage programs
