Urdu, as a dynamic and evolving language, is not only a medium of communication but also a vessel carrying social, cultural, and regional identities. The local dialects, accents, and speech patterns in different regions of Pakistan form an integral part of the linguistic landscape, reflecting not only the linguistic diversity but also the social meanings attached to these variations. This article delves into the concept of maqaami bol chal ke lehzay (local speech accents) and explores how they contribute to language identity and the social perceptions they evoke in Pakistani society. The study examines the interaction between dialectal variations and social markers such as class, ethnicity, and education. The research methodology incorporates both qualitative and quantitative data, drawn from field observations, interviews with native speakers, and sociolinguistic surveys conducted across various provinces of Pakistan. The findings reveal that these local accents play a pivotal role in shaping individual and collective identities, influencing social interactions, and contributing to both in-group solidarity and out-group discrimination. This paper offers valuable insights into how local accents reflect the linguistic and cultural diversity of Pakistan, with implications for language policy, education, and social integration

This study aims to measure the relationship between sedentary behaviour and metabolic rate among adult professionals. An intervention (e-mobile) approach was used to gather the information from the participants. A total of 40 participants (men = 30, and women = 10) with an average age of (36.53 years ± 8.85) were randomly assigned to an intervention group (n= 20) and a control group (n= 20). All the participants completed the Sedentary Behavior Questionnaire and The International Physical Activity Questionnaire at baseline and the end of eight weeks. The Participants in the intervention group were given physical activity guidelines targeted at increasing physical activity levels during daily activities. On the other side, the control group was advised to continue with their routine daily physical activity. Statistical analyses, including descriptive statistics and inferential analysis like mean, SD, T-tests, and ANOVA were used to analyze the data and determine relationships between variables. After analyzing the data, the results showed that significant differences in pre and post-metabolic rate scores (1488.31 ± 179.13 to 1468.44 ± 128.19) (f = 10.83, p < 0.000) were noted in the experimental group after eight weeks. The experimental group increased their walking (863.78 METs per week to 1625.55 METs per week), moderate activity (295 METs per week to 743 METs per week) and vigorous activity (362 METs per week to 1366 METs per week) physical activity (all p<0.001). No significant differences were found in the control group, highlighting that physical activity improves metabolic rate and reduces sedentary behaviour

Improving Gross Motor and Fine Motor Abilities in Young Children Aged 6-8 with Adapted Badminton Exercises: An Experimental Evaluation

This study examined the effects of an eight-week adapted badminton intervention on gross and fine motor skills in children aged 6 to 8 years. Employing a pre-test and post-test experimental design, the research involved two groups: a Control Group (CG) and an Experimental Group (EG). The intervention consisted of tailored badminton exercises specifically designed to enhance motor skills, grip strength, hand-eye coordination, and dexterity among the participants. Statistical analyses, including t-Test, MANOVA, ANCOVA, and MANCOVA, revealed significant improvements in the EG compared to the CG, with marked gains in all measured variables. These results strongly support the effectiveness of sport-based interventions in promoting motor development during early childhood. The findings are consistent with existing literature that underscores the benefits of physical activity for young learners, highlighting the importance of engaging children in sports. However, limitations of the study include its short duration and focus on a single sport. Future research should consider exploring long-term impacts and comparing the effectiveness of various sport-based interventions to further understand their potential benefits for motor skill development
