For data investigation statistical measures like percentage, frequency, correlation and linear regression were used. For determining the validity Cronbach\u27s alpha was used and it found that all the variables values stood above the minimum level of 0.70. showing the reliability of the data. The end results showed that both intrinsic motivation and over all motivation had effects upon turnover intention and it was concluded that there is significant and empirical correlation between motivation and turnover intention and also between intrinsic motivation and turnover intention

A SILENCE REMOVAL AND ENDPOINT DETECTION APPROACH FOR SPEECH PROCESSING
In this paper a brief overview of silence removal and voice activity detection is discussed and a new method for silence removal is suggested. The objective of suggested method is to delete the silence and unvoiced segments from the speech signal which are very useful to increase the performance and accuracy of the system. Endpoint detection is used to remove the DC offset value from the signal after silence removal process. Silence removal and Endpoint detection are main part of many applications such as speaker and speech recognition. The proposed method uses Root Mean Square (RMS) to delete the unvoiced segments from the speech signal. This work showed better results for silence removal and endpoint detection than existing methods. The performance of this research work is evaluated using MATLAB tool and accuracy of 97.2% is achieved
SOLAR AIR-CONDITIONED BED
Summer is much hot in Pakistan as compare to winter. Therefore adequate source for efficient cooling system is required to make the life comfortable. In conventional air conditioning system most of the cooling is leaked or wasted there, where it is not required. For example cooling around the bed is required instead of the whole room. This paper proposed an efficient cooling system for the above problem. The proposed cooling system is based on the solar air conditioned bed. This cooling system restricts air conditioned environment to reduce cooling losses. The Proposed cooling system operates with renewable energy and main AC source
The Impact of Merger and Acquisition on Karachi Stock Exchange–Testing Semi-Strong Efficient Market Hypothesis
This paper particularly addresses the impact of mergers and acquisition (M&A) announcements on share prices in Pakistani stock market from 2006 to 2014. It uses event study method for a sample of 32 M&A announcements from both financial and non-financial sectors. The result shows that M&A declarations do not signal any significant information to Pakistani market. Therefore, the findings show statistically insignificant abnormal returns on announcements of M&A, however a significant positive abnormal return just before proclamation of merger and acquisitions is noted. Similarly, the bidder firms show significant share price reaction and also some gains before the announcement which may be because of leakage of information (Khan, 2011). While after the declaration both target and bidder firms experience losses but overall conclusion detects that the target companies get fewer abnormal earnings as compared to acquirer firms in case of acquisitions. The insignificant unexpected returns on announcement date of M&A do not support semi-strong form of EMH. The findings of this study help investors in devising their investment strategies based on the timing of important announcements by companies such as M&A

The recent financial crisis has highlighted the significance of sound liquidity management. Liquidity risk is one of the key issue for financial institutions. An organization with a strong asset base, adequate capital and earning may fail if not sustained good liquidity positions. This study attempts to empirically examine the impact of liquidity risk on the performance of selected banks operating in Pakistan. The panel data over a period of 2006-2015 was collected from the yearly published financial statements of banks working in Pakistan. The data was examined through the panel data regression model. Bank size, nonperforming loan ratio and capital adequacy ratio were used as surrogate variable for liquidity risk. The profitability of the selected banks was measured by taking the ratio of return on assets. The results of the regression model show a major impact of liquidity risk on the performance of Banking Institutions. The influence of the capital adequacy ratio and bank size was found significant and positive, while the influence of the nonperforming loan ratio proved insignificant. This study helps to understand the important parameters of liquidity risk and their influence on bank profitability. This study is valuable for risk managers to alleviate liquidity risk by having satisfactory liquid assets. This minimizes the liquidity gap and dependency of the financial institutions on the repo market
