One-way ANOVA was applied to compare the physical fitness and ability of traditional among groups, and the Pearson product of correlation was applied to examine the relationship between the physical fitness and performance of traditional games. Results exhibited the rural girl\u27s students were significantly superior to the urban school girls in the 30-meter dash. The rural girls were also significantly higher in the performance of skipping rope and shtapu than urban and private school girls. On the other hand, stature, body mass, leg power, zig-zag run, sit-and-reach, trunk strength was a significantly positive correlation with skipping rope and shatpu. The main finding of this study was that traditional games have a strong relationship with the physical fitness of school girls. Disability has always been associated with limitations and social segregation. And when it comes to sports, circumstances for special persons are largely unfavorable. In this modern era, inclusion is somewhat replacing social segregation, but there are new frontiers waiting to be explored. The event of Paralympic is evolving along with the social norms within mainstream society. Hence, there is always a space for new ideas to emerge. For instance, several new sports can be modified and introduced to special persons. This research aimed at bridging this gap by introducing a plethora of conventional sports that can be modified to suit the needs of special persons. For example, special persons can be trained with modified versions of wrestling, karate, and power-lifting. Hence, the researcher triangulated his research by conducting semi-structured interviews aimed at special persons from all four types of disabilities to get their perspective. The researcher was well-acquainted with the relevance of different varieties within the emerging trends in sports. Therefore, his own participant observation guided the course of this study. A sample of 12 special persons with all four types of disability was interviewed. The study discovered that many special persons displayed prominent acumen and interest toward aforementioned sports

This study analyzes the effects of gender diversity and corporate governance on firm’s performance in Asian major economies. The study finds positive and significance impact of gender diversity on firm’s performance. In addition, the study explored significant role of executive female directors as compared to non-executive female directors. The impact of board characteristics and ownership structure on firm’s performance were also examined and found the evidences of positive association of them with firm’s performance in most cases except India (where the state ownership exhibited negative impact on firm’s performance). The study also provides comparative analysis of developed and developing economies in Asia and reported significance role of female representation in emerging markets as compared to developed and overall markets results. Lastly, the study also confirms non-existence of reverse causality between gender diversity and firm’s performance by applying t-tests and breaking down the sample according to women participation in the corporate board. The results confirm the role of female representation on firm performance from tokenism to critical mass. Consequently, the results strongly suggest that gender diversity in firm’s board needs to be enhanced, compulsory laws being a key determinant to achieve the desired results in Asian context

Agricultural production plays an important role both in national and global economies. The efficient and safe methods of sustainable agricultural production is crucial, and the use of information technology is imperative to meet this end. Among the available information technology tools, this study highlights the IT based cognitive solutions supported with the artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm for sustainable solutions in the agriculture sector of developing economies. For this purpose, a systematic review of 87 papers has been conducted in the chosen last 20 years from 2000 to 2019 to identify the major trends, challenges, limitation related to the applicability of AI supported cognitive solutions in the agricultural industry of developing countries. The results derived from the systematic literature review represents some major flaws in the existing technological & cognitive solutions being used for agriculture means in the developing economies, with special emphasis on the lack of advanced AI techniques that are required for development of robust and precise farming methods. This is due the farmers’ inability to use sustainable technological solutions that are limited by the high cost of available technological tools. Moreover, contrary to other disciplines of science, a human expertise is scare and very costly in the agriculture industry. Hence, there is a need to actively introduce the concept of AI in the agriculture sector by making AI more viable and affordable for the farming community in the developing economies. Besides, there is also a need to create a centralized AI model for the agriculture industry which will integrate AI into a single central system for the entire economy that could be used in various enterprises of the agriculture industry.

    Get PDF
Corporate Entrepreneurship (CE) is not a new strategy of fostering a firm’s performance and to increase customer satisfaction and market share, espoused by striving firms. However, studies on the effect of CE on the performance of GLCs are not common in literature, especially in the eastern world. The literature strongly indicates the requirement of more workable models of CE for GLCs in Pakistan, due to dearth in existing studies on the subject. Hence, the aim of this study is to gauge the impact of the most compelling element of CE on the operational performance of GLCs. This study has also been supplemented with the moderating role of incentive schemes in order to effectively gauge the motivational aspect in CE of GLCs. The analysis has been made through SMART PLS and structural equational modelling was used as the tool of analysis. Analysis indicated that innovation is perceived as one of the prime tools that may affect operational performance, although GLCs have different compensation structures and thus does not seem to be affecting the relationship of innovativeness and operational performance of GLCs

Healthful life, healthy lifestyle and regular participation in exercises are closely associated with each other. Inactive and idle lifestyle renders the person liable to several ailments and fatal diseases. To explore the relationship between attainment and maintenance of good health and exercises is the focal point of this study. To determine the effects of high-intensity aerobic exercises on the Resting heart rate (RHR) as well as the Body Mass Index (BMI) is the prime objective of the in-hand research study in perspectives of the participants. RHR is one of the most reliable indicators of health and fitness whereas BMI is used as the gauge for measuring body composition. Since it was an experimental research study, therefore, volunteer girls’ athletes n=46 (EG=23; CG=23) from Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan were included in the study. Before the start of treatment, the pre-test data in perspectives of the RHR and BMI in respect of the respondents were taken and recorded accordingly. Respondents included in an experimental were undergo the treatment of high-intensity aerobic exercises at 65-80% of the Maximum heart rate (MHR) for six weeks, 40 minutes per session and four times a week. After the specially designed six weeks’ exercises protocol, a reduction in RHR, decrease in BMI was recorded in the experimental group (p<0.05.
