    Financial Satisfaction of International Students in Malaysia

    Studying in a foreign country is the opportunity for the students for understanding the different cultures and advances new knowledge from different societies. The core aim of this research is to determine the financial satisfaction of international students in Malaysian universities. This data gathered from 288 oversease students of Malaysian universities by using convenience sampling method. This study utilized the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) for data analysis. The finding suggests that there is a significant effect of financial stress and financial and economic consideration on financial satisfaction of international students. This study also asserted that there is a significant effect of financial knowledge and family financial support on financial satisfaction. This research prone to some limitation such as cross-sectional method, and the convenience sampling method utilized in this current research. This study will beneficial for the government as well as policymakers to new rules and guidelines in favor of international students

    PLAYERS’ PERCEPTION ABOUT COMMERCIALIZATION OF SPORTS IN ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS OF PAKISTAN

    Commercialization is the way toward presenting another item or creation strategy into trade making it accessible available. The term frequently implies particularly the passageway into the mass market instead of prior specialty markets, however it additionally incorporates a move from the research facility into even constrained trade. The main objectives of the study are to examine the effects of commercialization of sports in academic institutions. The study was quantitative in nature and sample (n=260) for this research was from eight private and public sector universities of Lahore. The data collection tool was questionnaire containing 20 items. Results and data analysis showed that there is no difference among the opinion of male and female (Sig. 0.362) and among different age groups (Sig. 0.791). Overall results showed that there is positive effect of commercialization of sports in academic institutions as commercialization of sports helps players to develop their financial, sympathetic and caring attitude, their financial support, their recognition in society as well as their social support. Commercialization of sports promotes modesty and quality of life in them. Commercialization’s of sports also help to develop their personality with behavior and ethical values and awareness regarding their role in the society. In future recommendations, there should be panel discussions about commercialization of sports should be organized in collaboration of both coaches and athletes, there should be qualified staff for the commercialization, coaching and training of players, sports organizations and government should take necessary steps for the promotion of commercialization of sports at grass root as well as at international level

    PERSONALITY TRAITS PREDICT IN SPORTS PERFORMANCE AMONG UNIVERSITY ATHLETES

    The present study aims to investigate the personality traits predict in sports performance among university athletes. The sample was comprised of 232 (male=148 and Female = 84), aged between 18 to 30 years (M/SD; 25.11/1.60) of university athletes. The data were gathered from three universities of Punjab, Pakistan through purposive sampling technique. The present research was quantitative in nature and cross-sectional research design was applied. Two research instruments were used to measure the quantify data; Revised NEO personality inventory (NEO-PI-R) and Coach\u27s Ratings Scale. The results of correlation clearly identified that neuroticism personality trait was significantly and negatively correlated with coach ability,, athletic ability, game performance, team playerness, work ethic and overall sports performance among university athletes. While, extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness personality traits were significantly and positively correlated with coach ability, athletic ability, game performance, team playerness, work ethic and overall sports performance among university athletes. Whereas, the results of multiple regression analysis revealed that agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness were found to be the significant predictors of sports performance

    COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT FOR SCHOOL EFFECTIVENESS

    The evidence shows that the education system is shambles in Pakistan and specifically of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The schools critically require change. Transforming these schools into successful schools requires investigation of elements adding to viability. This investigation was carried in the Secondary Schools of Boys\u27 situated in the province KP, Pakistan. The number of inhabitants consisting of guardians in the examination, having children’s in the pre-mentioned schools.  As a basic, the guardians having the responsibility to view in tutoring of their kids as more imperative partners. Examples contained purposively chosen 120 guardians (working in different fields).     Organizational Commitment & Work Engagement Affected by Knowledge management: Evidence from banking sector of Pakistan

    Current study is intended to explore the influence of knowledge management (KM) on organizational commitment and work engagement of the banking employees. Paper examines the dimensions of knowledge management that can influence the effective elements of employee performance.        Five dimensions of knowledge management practices are bootstrapped on the organizational commitment and work engagement. Data collected form the different banks of Punjab, Pakistan by including 171 usable questionnaires. Data analysis was done with the help of SPSS and smart PLS. Results reveals that knowledge sharing, codification and retention helps in boosting organizational commitment of employees while knowledge creating, retention and sharing has a significant impact on work engagement. Knowledge management construct is not discussed as a complete construct as researchers opt some of its dimensions. Moreover, KM relationship with organizational commitment and work engagement is missing in the past literature. Knowledge creation, retention and sharing has a strong influence on the organizational commitment and work engagement. Managers should implement KM processes to uplift the knowledge of workers but also to boost their commitment and work engagement

    WORK-LIFE CONFLICT AND FEMALE STAFF TURNOVER INTENTIONS: A CASE OF BANKING INDUSTRY OF PESHAWAR PAKISTAN

    Employees’ turnover is a substantial challenge faced by every organization and that of the banking industry is of no exemption. Previous researches primarily focused on investigating the single-level analysis of employees’ turnover intentions in the banking industry of Pakistan, but this study seeks to investigate the multi-dimensional work-life conflict effect on turnover intentions particularly amongst females working at banks of Peshawar. The data gathered through structured questionnaires from a total of one fifty female staff primarily working at private, public, and foreign banks of Peshawar, Pakistan. The study concludes that an increased multi-dimensional effect in terms of social, family and personal life and work-life conflict ultimately leads to the greater female staff’s turnover intentions in banking industry Peshawar. This study proposes some valuable recommendations for human resource managers and policymakers to retain female workers in banks. Â

    INVOLVEMENT OF MUSLIM ORGANIZATIONS IN EDUCATIONAL AND SPORTS ACTIVITIES IN NIGERIA

    Background: The primary aim of the current research was to explore the involvements of Muslim organizations in Nigeria particularly in the field of education and sports. The major problem was addressed that how much Muslim organizations working in Nigeria were contributing to education and provision of sports activities. Methods: This research employed a qualitative method. The eleven participants being administrative members of two organizations were declared as sample size. The tool used in the existing research contains interviews and documents analyses. Descriptive statistics and NVivo-10 both were employed to analyze the collected information as statistical approach. Results: Results of two Muslim organizations (Jama’atu Nasir Islam and NASFAT) showed which have made reliable and significant most especially in the field of education and sports. The existing study indicated that one of two organizations portrayed more quality activities of education and sports than the other. Conclusion: In summary, results of the research revealed that both Islamic organizations were aimed to uplift life standards of the community in Nigeria via promoting education and sports activities. These two of the organizations agreed to promote education and sports activities through building of new schools, converts to the religion of Islam, Financial assistance to needy, propagation of sports facilities, building of sports arenas, and Promotion of sports activities at grassroots level

    CAUSES OF STUDENTS’ ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOR AT SECONDARY LEVEL SCHOOLS

    Antisocial behaviour refers to the destructive, harmful, negative actions or maladaptive behaviour of an individual towards other individuals or things in the society. These negative behaviours consist of unlawful activities and harm the people in interpersonal manners. Such behaviours occur due to the result of unsatisfactory social, ethical, moral, and/or psychological development of children at home, school, and/or under socialization in the society. Therefore, the present research study aimed to delve, uncover, and highlight the major causes (e.g., school related factors, parental factors, parental support, socioeconomic factors) that influence secondary school students’ antisocial behaviour in province Punjab, Pakistan. The present study was descriptive survey type by method and quantitative by approach. A cross-sectional type survey was conducted to elicit the perceptions of the research subjects. All students and teachers of public sector secondary schools in province Punjab were the target population while all secondary school students and teachers in public sector schools in district Faisalabad constituted the accessible population. Through proportionate stratified random sampling technique, a sample of 150 male teachers and 400 male students of 10th grade were taken in the sample. A self-developed and structured questionnaire was used as a research instrument for data collection. Both types of statistical techniques (e.g., descriptive, inferential) were used for the data analysis. It was concluded from the results of this study that school related factors (e.g., teacher-student relationships, peers’ influence); parental factors (e.g., poor father-child relationships, parental aspirations, parental negligence); parental support (e.g., empathy, guidance, material resources); and socioeconomic factors (e.g., parental income) are some of the major causes of secondary school students’ antisocial behavior

    SUBSTANCE ABUSE AMONG EDUCATED YOUTH: CHALLENGES AND PROBLEMS FACED BY THE FAMILIES IN KARACHI, PAKISTAN

    This paper intended to determine the impact of the contributory factor of substance use and its collision on the family of the educated user in Pakistan. This study used a quantitative research methodology for data collection. The target population for this study is based on higher education students at Karachi, Pakistan. The sample size was 316 responses which were analyzed using regression analysis via PLS-SEM. The results have shown that the availability of substances is positive and important with respect to substance use. Peer influence has a positive and significant effect on substance use. Substance use has a positive and significant impact on family avoidance and family conflict. Finally, addictions have a positive and significant impact on the plight of families

    The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of employee empowerment on the performance of faculty members at Hazara University. In this regard survey approach was used and data was collected through self-administered questionnaires. Out of total population of 490 faculty members, 450 were selected as a sample and questionnaires were distributed among them out of which 360 were received back. The findings of the study revealed that trust, reward and communication have a statistically significant and positive effect on employee performance.
