Get PDFABSTRACTThis study discusses about Kim Jong Un’s idiosyncratic impact in North Korea's foreign policy related to the escalation of the conflict in the Korean Peninsula in 2013. The background of this research is the change of North Korea’s foreign policy in the leadership era of Kim Jong Un which decided to re-confrontation with South Korea. Those became the main platform issues examined in this research, which is why North Korea under the leadership era of Kim Jong Un decided to re-confrontation with South Korea in 2013. Those problem will be analyzed and explaned by using idiosyncratic theory, authoritarian leadership and decision making as the basic argument. Based on the theoretical approach that given, it can be deduced that the escalation of the conflict in the Korean Peninsula in 2013 was effected by idiosyncratic of Kim Jong Un that describes the characteristics of Kim Jong Un is dictatorial. Get PDFABSTRACTThe whole influx of Syrian immigrants and refugees, emerge the awareness and building securitization of European Union countries to anticipate the problem by creating cooperation with Turkey through EU-Turkey Joint Action Plan. In through EU-Turkey Joint Action Plan, Turkey will bring the irregular Syrian Refugee in Greek to their territorial and EU will plan to boost financial aid about €1 billion in 2015-2016 period and estimated reach about €3billion at the end of 2018. EU promises to give the visa liberalization and the mst importance is EU will open talks again about Turkey Accession. Furthermore, what EU gives to Turkey is applied as strategy in order to prevent the massive influx of refugees to reach EU countries border. The Arms Trade Treaty: U.S. Arms Sales to Taiwan and U.S.-China Relations
Get PDFABSTRACTThe dynamic of U.S.-China relations cannot be secluded from Taiwan-related issue. Falling into a treacherous category is the ceaseless U.S. arms sales to Taiwan under the scheme of Taiwan Resolution Act (TRA) that obligated the former to provide the latter with arms of defensive character, resulting in uneasiness among the leaders in Beijing. Congenial to its endeavor to cut out the knit-tight relations between the U.S. and Taiwan, China intends to exert the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) as a means to condemn U.S. arms sales to a non-state actor carrying lethal weapon able to mar the existing status quo in the region. This paper aims to elucidate the positions of the U.S. and China on the ATT to which both states currently are not the parties. With emphasis on Taiwan, it is argued that both the U.S. and China will be persistent to uphold pragmatism, covering also the ATT, without seriously harming the strategic relations between the two.Keywords: ATT, U.S. arms sales to Taiwan, U.S.-China relation
PENGARUH KELOMPOK NEOKONSERVATISME TERHADAP KEBIJAKAN LUAR NEGERI INVASI AFGHANISTAN OLEH AMERIKA SERIKAT (2001)
Get PDFABSTRACTThe United States used the military in response to the attacks on September 11, 2001. The shape of the response was the US invasion of Afghanistan in 2001. Moreover, the use of explorations of the coalition decision-unit type was able to explain the role from the group to the decision-making process. According to the analysis of the coalition decision-unit type, the decision-making process within the United States government contains the interaction of two major groups in the politics of the United States government itself. The two major groups are the Republican Neoconservatism and New Left Democrats. In the current decision-making process, the seat of the United States government was dominated by the majority of the Neoconservatism group. The dominance of the Neoconservatism group made interaction and debate in the US foreign policy making process at the time was not so explicit. Food Loss and Food Waste as Global Issues
Get PDFABSTRACTThe entire world is facing significant challenges in the coming decades. It has been demonstrated that many countries must prepare themselves to face a considerable rise in food consumption and corresponding food waste. There must be a cooperation of consumers, retailers, producers and government to solve this complex issue. Their efforts to decrease food waste would offer a significant sustainable alternative to scale up food manufacturing that leading to a stabling food security internally and internationally. Governments and businesses should develop food loss and food waste prevention throughout the entire supply chain. There should be a higher effort on decreasing post-harvest losses in early stages in the food value chain in the developing countries. Meanwhile, in the developed countries, the government should have policies to reduce food waste at consumer level which could minimize food being unnecessarily thrown away. Governments should also support the establishment of independent organizations which could facilitate and assess efforts to decrease food waste, such as the WRAP in the UK in grocery and hospitality supply chain.Keywords: food loss, food waste, food value chain, reuse, cycl

MODEL MATEMATIS KADAR BETA KAROTEN LABU KUNING (Cucurbita maxima) SELAMA PROSES PENGERINGAN DALAM KABINET DRIER
Get PDFLabu kuning adalah produk lokal yang memiliki banyak manfaat karena mengandung komponen gizi yang baikuntuk kesehatan, salah satunya adalah beta karoten (pro vitamin A). Beta karoten dapat mengalamikerusakan karena adanya proses pengolahan, yang menimbulkan oksidasi ataupun panas yang tinggi. Salahsatu proses pengolahan yang dilakukan pada labu kuning adalah proses pengeringan. Penelitian ini bertujuanmelihat pengaruh pengeringan terhadap perubahan kadar beta karoten yang kemudian diwujudkan dalambentuk persamaan Handerson dan Pabis. Pengeringan menggunakan cabinet dryer dengan suhu 50, 60, dan70OC. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penurunan kadar beta karoten labu kuning mengikuti kurvaeksponensial dengan kadar beta karoten yang masih tinggi yaitu pada pengeringan 50OC yang mengikutipersamaan = 4,95 , Semakin rendah suhu pengeringan maka kurva yang terbentuk cenderunglebih landai sebelum akhirnya cenderung stabil. Penurunan kadar beta karoten paling banyak saat prosespengeringan terjadi pada 3 jam pertama.Kata kunci: beta karoten, labu kuning, model matematis, pengeringan DOI : https://doi.org/10.33005/jtp.v14i1.217
ANALISIS KARAKTERISTIK DAN SELERA KONSUMEN KFC BG JUNCTION SURABAYA
Get PDFHigh mobility patterns of life demand that anything be done practically, and save time, so that with a new lifestyle makes people often eat out, consequently many restaurants have sprung up especially fast food restaurants. Competition between companies is now about satisfying consumers. So the company must make the right marketing strategy. But in this KFC restaurant has a problem that is decreased profits. This study aims to find out about the characteristics and tastes of KFC BG Junction consumers as a consideration for KFC restaurants in the formulation of strategies. The study was conducted at the KFC BG Junction Surabaya restaurant. This study was included in a qualitative study with 50 respondents and the sampling technique was with an accidental sampling technique. The analysis is used to determine the characteristics and tastes of consumers with descriptive analysis. Results Characteristics of KFC BG Junction consumers are generally female respondents in high school education which incidentally as students with monthly income of Rp. 1,000,000 / month activities outside the home. While KFC BG Junction consumer tastes, generally like the spicy taste of crispy chicken upper thighs, beef or chicken burgers, and KFC bento sasus black pepper, while the most preferred side menu is french fries and drinks that are favored by float mocha and cash payment methods. TEKNOLOGI AUGMENTED REALITY SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI
Get PDFBiologi merupakan pembelajran yang berkaitan dengan makhluk hidup dan lingkungan, sehingga mengharuskan untuk melakukan pengamatan bendanya secara langsung. Teknologi Augmented Reality merupakan solusi yang dapat membantu memfasilitasi dalam melakukan pengamatan, karena mampu memvisualkan benda 2D menjadi 3D. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan pembuatan aplkasi dengan teknologi augmented reality sebagai media pembelajaran biologi. Metode yang digunakan dalam membuat media yaitu dengan SDLC (System Development Life Cycle). Adapun hasil penelitian diperoleh aplikasi yang dikembangkan dengan perangkat lunak Unity 3D dengan objek yang ditampilkan 7 jenis hewan Arthropoda yaitu: Semut, Kelabang, Laba-laba, kalajengking, kepiting, lebah dan udang.
