Rituales hispano-mexicanos del Apóstol Santiago
Get PDFThe figure of Saint James Apostle has enjoyed of emblematic characteristics so much in Peninsular reconquest as in the New World conquest. And the worship to him dedicared, includes ritual elements with an important simbolic charge. Still nowadays, he is the most venerated saint in Mexico, having been transformed the festive rituals to him dedicated by spaniards into others that can be so enigmatic as the Jalisco's tastoanes. In order to give an interpretation of them, I'll apply an historie-formal analysis to the transformations system established by ritual confrontations between Saint James and his different antagonists, an other, structuraly analogous, Holy Week and carnival fights.La figura del Apóstol Santiago gozó de características emblemáticas tanto en la reconquista peninsular como en la conquista del Nuevo Mundo. Y el culto que se le rendía contenía elementos rituales con gran carga simbólica. Todavía en la actualidad es el santo más venerado en México, habiéndose transformado los rituales festivos que le dedicaban los españoles en otros que pueden ser tan enigmáticos como los tastoanes de Jalisco. Para interpretarlos, se someterá a un análisis histórico-formal el sistema de transformaciones constituido por los enfrentamientos rituales entre Santiago y sus diversos enemigos, y otras luchas de Semana Santa y carnaval, estructuralmente semejantes

On 30th November and 13th December the meo play with the «taba», they bet money and it could be possible a change in the social positions. There are different groups of players at the different places, times and bets. Essentially in the game one person is against people. That is a possible way of the social change. The risk is reduced by a series of strategies, related to the occupation of the game's roles and related to the integration into the groups too.En Colmenar, una población madrileña, para los niños, el juego de la taba distribuía distintas «posiciones» sociales; para los adultos, sin embargo, y en determinados días del año, San Andrés (30 de noviembre) y Santa Lucía (13 de diciembre), es un juego de apuestas que hace circular el dinero y pudiera hacer posible una movilidad social. Se distinguen diferentes grupos de jugadores según el lugar, la hora de juego y la cuantía de la apuesta. El juego enfrenta en esencia a uno contra todos. U na de las vías teóricas para la movilidad social. Get PDFBy means of literary sources, this paper tries to make an appraisal of the meaning of the prints in the Spanish Golden Age society, as well as to throw sorne light over the «estampero» (print seller), a sort of seller about whom little was known, although his presence in Spain is documented. Finally, the point is made that the writers did use very often the prints, both to define and to portray milieus and characters and sometimes even to mirror a plot.A través de las fuentes literarias se ha tratado de realizar un estudio valorativo de la función de la estampa suelta en la sociedad española del Siglo de Oro, y de arrojar cierta luz sobre los estamperos, un tipo de vendedor del que, aunque se conocía su existencia en la España barroca, se ignoraban muchas de sus características. Por último, se ha observado cómo frecuentemente las estampas han sido utilizadas por los escritores para definir y caracterizar ambientes y personajes, y para reflejar en algún caso una trama argumental

And ali this within the context of the reign of Carlos III, when the silversmith' s trade and religious prints were regulated.En este artículo se analiza la iconografía de Cristo, María y los santos, de un puñado de santuarios ubicados en diferentes regiones españolas, tal como se veía y reflejaba en el siglo XVIII. Estampas y medallas devocionales sirven para recrear un mundo que está entre la historia del arte y la etnografía, porque no sólo nos preocupa cómo son y de qué materiales están hechos estos objetos, sino que también vemos los privilegios de fabricación, su mercado y el uso que hacen de ellos los devotos.
