Get PDFThe article present sums up a research on the meaning and the tradition of a mythical tale, carried out under two different outlooks: synchronic (through the analysis of 40 European renderings of che same legend) and diachronic (by considering the different «manipulations» of the tale throughout history). It is a medieval story whithin the mythical cycle of Mélusine whose heroes are Diego López and Íñiguez Guerra, the fourth and fifth Lords of Biscay according to the geneaology of the Haro Family, held in chapter IX of the Livro de linhagens. that was written between 1340 and 1344 by Pedro de Barcelos.El artículo resume un estudio sobre el significado y la tradición de un relato mítico, realizado desde una perspectiva sincrónica ( mediante el análisis de cuarenta versiones europeas de la misma leyenda) y diacrónica (observando las diferentes «manipulaciones» de que ha sido objeto a lo largo de su historia). Se trata de un relato medieval, perteneciente al ciclo mítico de Melusina, cuyos sucesivos héroes son Diego López e Íñiguez Guerra, señores de Vizcaya cuarto y quinto, según la genealogía de los Haro contenida en el título IX del Livro de linhagens, compuesto entre 1340 y 1344 por Pedro de Barcelos

No full textThere are two cycles of the folk-songs in russian folk-lore, on the crossing of which could be born a creature like the play Burlador de Sevilla y el Convidado de Piedra arising from the combination of the same two topics. One of them is the legend about the insult of the skull and another is the legend about the seduction of women. I mean on the one hand the bilina about Vaska Buslaiev's trip in Jerusalem and his death and on the second hand two bilinas about Aliosha Popovich: about his unlucky attempt of marriage and about Aliosha and Zbrodovichi's sister. In the people's consciousness they were crossing and mixing, but the full uniting did not take place. The demand of that combination did not arise, because both topic lines were versatile, as it was in Burlador de Sevilla.En el folklore ruso existen dos ciclos de las canciones épicas, en cuya intersección hubiera podido surgir una obra parecida al Burlador de Sevilla y el Convidado de Piedra que resultó ser la unión de dos leyendas: la de la ofensa de la calavera y la del burlador de las mujeres. Se trata de la bilina sobre el viaje de Vaska Buslacv a Jerusalén y su muerte y de dos bilinas sobre Alioscha Popovich -el fracasado casamiento Je Alioscha, y Alioscha y la hermana de Zbrodovichi. Pero en la cultura rusa no se realizó tal unión, porque ambas líneas por separado poseían la dualidad y ambigüedad propias del Burlador de Sevilla, y aún coexistían, intercambiándose parcialmente
