    A successful school principal is not a born principal, destined to become a principal, but he can become a principal based on a planned and mature formation (special education or experience working as a teacher and principal), and willing to shape himself into a head quality school. The formulation of the problem in this study aims to determine the relationship between the principal's charismatic leadership and the work ethic of the teacher and to determine the level of charismatic leadership in school heads and the work ethic of teachers in SMKN 1 Kuripan, district. West Lombok. This type of research is quantitative research, the population of this research is teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Kuripan, district. West Lombok, amounting to 56 teachers. Because the number of the study population is relatively small, therefore this study is a population study of 56 teachers. The instrument used was a closed questionnaire. There was a statistical data analysis used in this study using the Product Moment correlation formula. The results showed that the value (calculated) was 0.538 or greater than the r-table value of 0.218 so that the decision to take was to accept the alternative hypothesis (Ha). This means that there is a "significant" positive relationship between the charismatic leadership of the school and the work ethic of the West Lombok SMKN 1 Kuripan teachers for the 2019/2020 academic year.  Keywords: Work effectiveness, Charismatic Leadershi

    AN ANALYSIS OF ENGLISH TEACHERS’ CREATIVITY IN MEDIA-BASED LEARNING AT THE TENTH-GRADE STUDENTS

    This study aims to describe English teachers' creativity in using learning media in the tenth grade students at SMK Pencawan Medan. This study is descriptive qualitative. The data were obtained by interview. The data analysis followed some steps, namely collecting data, reducing, display data, data verification and create reports. The results showed that teachers employed the various teaching-learning media in ELT classes. English teachers used various media to make it easier for students to learn and understand the teaching materials. The media include audio, visual, and audiovisual. The most media used in the ELT classes were audio and visual. A small portion of media was made through internet sources. But the teacher has not been optimal in carrying it out,  it can be seen from when the teacher uses PowerPoint media, teachers applied it imperfect, and not every day the teacher uses learning media to achieve learning goals. Based on the conclusion above, the researchers give suggestion to the teachers should always looking for creative new things and create active, innovative, and fun learning, and also motivate students to seriously participate in learning even though they study through online

    FOSTERING STUDENTS’ WRITING SKILL BY THE INTEGRATION OF MALL APPLICATION

    Writing has been one of the most significant skill to acquire by high school students. In fact, students still find it difficult due to weak mastery of writing components and limited practice as well as exposure and facility. On these ground, utilizing MALL in hybrid learning setting is assumed to enhance their writing skill. Employing qualitative approach with classroom action research design conducted in 3 cycles, 20 high school students were involved in this study. The data were obtained using observation, test and interview. The findings suggested that online writing application can help promoting students’ writing skill proven by the score increase from cycle 1 to 3 as well as their participation.     The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes about mixed arithmetic in the Mathematics learning process using learning strategies through sticky numbers games. This study uses a classroom action research method which is carried out in 2 (two) cycles. Each cycle is carried out in 4 (four) stages, namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were Grade VI students of SD Inpres 3 Tolai in the 2020/2021 school year. Data collection techniques using tests, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this research was qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of this study, it is known that the increase in student activity, the pre-cycle average is 49.68. In the first cycle it increased to 67.31, and the second cycle increased to 83.97. While the increase in student learning outcomes that have met the completeness value, namely pre-cycle by 50%. In the first cycle it increased, namely to be 79.17% and increased again in the second cycle to 100%

    Dengan melihat penyebaran Covid-19 yang begitu cepat dan menghawatirkan, maka perlu kiranya pola pencegahan secara yang menyeluruh tidak hanya menggukan sistem medis tapi juga dari segi psikologis. Dampak penyebaran Covid – 19 ini juga menyerang sistem psikologis individu begitu juga dengan remaja, maka perlu dilakukan penanganan secara psikologis, sehingga mempengaruhi cara berpikir, merasa dan bertindak, dan juga menentukan bagimana mengatasi stress, menjalani relasi dengan orang lain, keluarga, teman, sosial, dan lingkungan disekitar, serta membuat pilihan yang tepat. Dukungan Psikologis Awal adalah serangakaian keterampilan sederhana yang dilakukan secara sistematis untuk mencegah dan mengurangi dampak negatif dari suatu masalah sekaligus menjunjung proses pemulihan kesejahteraan psikologis. Dalam konteks pendidikan menjadi salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan mengembangkan Dukungan Psikologis Awal untuk peserta didik di satuan pendidikan. Dukungan Psikologis Awal pada Remaja terhadap Pencegahan Covid – 19 pada Siswa Madrasah Aliyah Al Badriyah, dalam penelitian ini mengangkat tiga indikator besar yaitu dukungan Psikologis Awal, yang terdiri dari empati, mendengarkan aktif, relaksasi. Dalam indikator yang kedua adalah langkah-langkah Dukungan Psikologis Awal, yang terdiri dari indikator memahami situasi, membangun hubungan baik, mengenali dan memberi perhatian, mendengarkan, menghubungkan, dan Indikator yang ketiga yaitu Pencegahan Covid-19, yang terdiri dari menjaga sistem kekebalan tubuh, Cuci Tangan dengan Sabun, Etika Bersin dan Batuk, hindari kontak langsung dengan orang lain, menggunakan masker, tetap dirumah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif Dukungan Psikologis Awal pada Remaja terhadap Pencegahan Covid – 19 pada Siswa Madrasah Aliyah Al Badriyah. Adapun yang Menjadi Populasi dan Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Madrasah Aliyah Al Badriyah sebanyak 130 Siswa. Untuk mengetahui tingkat keefektifan maka dilakukan eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan one-group pretest-posttest design. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan pada siswa MA Al Badriayah dengan jumlah subyek sebnyak 130 Siswa dinyatakan ada Pengaruh Dukungan Psikologis Awal Pada Remaja dalam Pencegahan COVID – 19 Pada Siswa Madrasah Aliyah Al BadriyahKata Kunci: Psikologis Awal Remaja; Pencegahan Covid-1

    The aim of this study was to analyze teachers' attitudes towards inclusive education and how they impacted on the successful practice of inclusive education. This research was a literature review study with analysis descriptive techniques. Electronic data sources in the form of ScienceDirect, SAGE and Google Scholar were used to collect data. There were 12 journals in the last 10 years that met the criteria. The results showed that most journals suggest that teachers have a positive attitude towards inclusive education. The positive attitude of teachers towards inclusive education can be assessed from the readiness of the teacher to accept children with special needs into the classroom. Communities with a culture of individualism tend to have positive attitudes towards inclusive education and can accept special needs children into the classroom. Experience, length of teaching and training affect differences in teacher attitudes towards inclusive education. Self-efficacy is found to be closely related to teachers' attitudes towards inclusive education

    Does Compensation Important? The Effect of Compensation on Teachers Performance in Vocational High School

    The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of compensation on the teacher performance in vocational school. This research used a quantitative approach. Data collection technique was by distributing a questionnaire using a five-likert scale. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Samples taken from each school amounted to 3 teachers from each department, so there were 42 respondents from 5 schools. Validity test used the Pearson product moment. The analysis technique used to answer the research hypothesis uses simple linear regression. The results showed that teacher compensation had an effect on teacher performance in vocational high school

    The background of this research is that the players in shooting are less focused, precise and strong. This is what motivates the researchers to try to apply the dumbell wrist curl and medicine ball chest pass exercises to improve strength and ability to shoot. This study aims to determine which form of exercise has a greater influence between dumbbell wrist curl and medicine ball chest pass training on shooting ability of Bhayangkara Basket Club athletes in 2020. The research method used was experimental. The total sample of 16 athletes obtained by total sampling technique, then divided into two groups, namely the dumbbell wrist curl exercise group and the medicine ball chest pass exercise group. The research was conducted by testing and measuring the basketball shooting test for Bhayangkara Basket Club athletes in 2020, which was carried out 6 weeks 18 (eighteen) times of training. Furthermore, the research data was processed by statistical calculation of paired and unpaired t-test. Based on the results of the paired t-test calculation of hypothesis I, the t-count value is 3.989 and 〖t〗 _ (table) with dk n-1 = 7, at the 5% significance level is 1.895. Thus t_h> t_ (t) so that H_o is rejected and H_a is accepted. Conclusion: There is a significant effect of dumbbell wrist curl training on the shooting ability of Bhayangkara Basket Club athletes in 2020. From the results of the paired t-test for hypothesis II, the t-test value is 4,964 and t-table dk n-1 = 7, at the 5% significance level. is 1,895. Thus t_h> t_ (t) so that H_o is rejected and H_a is accepted. Conclusion: There is a significant effect of medicine ball chest pass training on the shooting ability of Bhayangkara Basket Club athletes in 2020. From the results of the unpaired t-test for hypothesis III, the value of tcount = 0.722 and t table = 1.761. Thus t_h <t_ (t) so that H_o is rejected and H_a is accepted. Conclusion: that the dumbell wrist curl exercise has no greater effect than the medicine ball chest pass exercise on the shooting ability of Bhayangkara Basket Club athletes in 202

    COMBINING DIARY AND GUIDED STRATEGIES FOR WRITING DIFFICULTIES

    Complexities of English writing still become big challenges for university students who study English as their majority. Diary and guided writing are two strategies which are commonly separately implemented in writing classes. Among the number of the strengths, there must be the weaknesses when Diary and guided strategies are separately practiced for writing class. Implementing diary writing strategy without continuously guidance may not optimally help students reducing the writing difficulties. This study tried to combine both of the strategies to identify and reduce the students’ writing difficulties. First until eight grade students at English study program were randomly selected as the research subjects. Qualitative approach was applied. The data was obtained by implementing diary writing practice combined with the writing guidance during one month as well as observation, in-depth interview and FGD. Result shows that students got difficulties to apply proper vocabulary, grammar, and mechanic in their writing. Grammar was the most difficult aspects.  Further, combining diary and guided strategies could reduce the students’ writing difficulties

    THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ELECTRONIC WHITEBOARDS ON STUDENTS' READING SKILLS

    Technology has become a demand for students to master their reading skills. Technology right now plays an important role in the teaching and learning process. The lecturer are needed technology to improve their material and make their teaching are effective. It was expected that to apply the electronic whiteboard itself can use by the lecturer to design better ways for the students to acquire important information. It is realized that the fourth-semester students at the English Department of Khairun University are needed as much information on the electronic whiteboard as possible to improve their reading skills. This research is an experimental research that was held at the English Program at Khairun University Ternate. The experimental research involves two groups of students, they are the experimental group and the control group. The researcher used the English Program's fourth-semester students at Khairun University Ternate as a research sample. The result of the t-test in the experimental class shows that the mean score of the pre-test was 74.90 and the means score of the post-test was 81.90. It shows that electronic whiteboards in the experimental class experienced significant improvement in students reading skills. Then, the standard deviation in the post-test was 5.58 and the standard deviation in the pre-test was 4.38. It could be concluded that the students get significant progress in their reading skills after applying the electronic whiteboard
