    DERIVATIONAL AFFIXES IN WRITING ANALYTICAL EXPOSITION TEXT

    This research is about the analysis of derivational affixes in Writing Analytical Exposition Text. It intended to describe the process of derivational affixes and to find out the types, the structure, and the functions of each derivational affixes in writing analytical exposition text by the twelve grade students from YouTube. The qualitative method was used to investigate derivational affixes in writing analytical exposition text. The data were collected by documented study. They were collected from students’ results of making texts about analytical Exposition text, finding the text about analytical exposition, choosing the text that relevant with Corona virus disease, and the last searched the words that contain derivational affixes, the researcher identified. The results of this study showed that derivational affixes were found in writing analytical exposition text. There were three types of affix used. They were prefix, suffix, and circumfix. There was no infix used. Kinds of prefix found were pre-, dis-, re-, on-, under-, inter-, micro-, trans-, over-, al-, In-, out-. Kinds of suffix found were -ment, -ly, -ness, -ion, -y, -er, -ive, -ous, -ant, -ious, -ation, -en, -wards, -ition, -ed, -est, -ies, -ities -ily, -ence, -ing, -side. Kinds of circumfix found were Trans-ed, In-ation, inter-ion, dis-ed, re-ation, un-y, anti-ion, un–ed, in-ly, trans-ion, inter –ed, re-ing, trans-ing, in- ing, in-ent. The function of derivational affixes found in writing analytical exposition were verb formation, noun formation, adjective formation, and adverb formation, in which sometimes in the process of word formation, it did not always change the part of speech even though it had got the addition of affixes, such as noun into noun, verb into verb, and adjective into adjective. There were many derivational affixes. Moreover, suffix –ing to form a noun and –ly to form an adverb the most dominant affixes

    Manajemen POAC pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19 (Studi Kasus BDR di SMP Negeri 2 Praya Barat Daya)

    This study aimed to describe the implementation of learning from home (LFH) during the Covid-19 pandemic seen from the POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) management theory. The research used a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Praya Barat Daya, Central Lombok Regency, NTB. The research subjects involved the principal of the school, while the informants were teachers and students who were selected using purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through interviews and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the principal implemented management functions in accordance with the POAC theory in the implementation of LFH, namely: 1) planning, which was identifying data of students having gadgets followed by designing online and offline LFH preparations; 2) organizing, which was dividing students into two study groups, namely the online group and the offline group; 3) actuating, which was introducing facilities and infrastructure used in online and offline learning, followed by its implementation of LFH; and 4) controlling, which was implementing the evaluation of the LFH program at the school level carried out at the end of the 2019/2020 school year

    Upaya Meningkatkan Keterampilan Membaca Cepat dengan Menggunakan Metode P2R dan Question pada Siswa SMA Negeri 1 Leces Kabupaten Probolinggo

    This study aims to improve speed reading skills by using the P2R method and questions with a horizontal pattern in class X MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Leces. This research method uses classroom action research. This research data collection technique using tests, observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of this study indicate an increase in the process of learning to read quickly to find the main idea of paragraphs using the P2R method and questions with a horizontal pattern. The results of the increase in speed reading skills from pre-cycle to cycle I reached an average of 52.88% or 185 kpm, an increase of 4% so that it became 56.88% or 199 kpm. Meanwhile, cycle II also increased by 21.9% from an average of 52.88% to 74.78% or 261 kpm. This shows that the increase in speed reading skills from pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II has increased good results

    Upaya Meningkatkan Kemampuan Perencanaan Karier Melalui Layanan Informasi Karier pada Saat Pandemi Covid-19 bagi Siswa di SMA Negeri 2 Praya

    The purpose of this study was to improve career planning skills through career information services during the Covid-19 pandemic for class XII-MIA-1 students of SMA Negeri 2 Praya in the academic year 2020/2021. This research method uses a classroom action research method consisting of 2 cycles of action. The research instrument used observation sheets and tests. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the data analysis of the implementation of the action in cycle I, it shows that the percentage of students' career planning abilities is very high as many as 4 people or 11.76%, high career planning abilities are 5 people or 14.71%, while as many as 8 people or 23.53% , low 8 people amounted to 23.53% and very low category career planning ability 9 people or 26.47%. Based on the results of cycle II analysis, it was found that students had very high career planning abilities as many as 12 people or 35.29 %%, high career planning abilities by 9 people or 26.47% and career planning abilities in the medium category of 7 people or 20.59%, low career planning ability as many as 4 people or 11.76%, and very low career planning ability as many as 2 people or 5.88%

    Studying hydrocarbon material requires ability in problem solving so students are able to identify, analyze, and describe abstract chemical concepts and principles into concrete. The purpose of this study was to the improving of students' hydrocarbon problem solving abilities through the SAVI learning model assisted by puzzle media. The research design used in this study was pre-experimental with a research design namely One Group Pretest-Posttest Design.The study was conducted at SMAN 7 Mataram, Jl. Adi Sucipto, Ampenan Utara, Kec. Ampenan, Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara. The subjects of this study were students of class XI Science. The research instrument include syllabus, lesson plans, worksheets, and multiple choice test items. Data were analyzed using the N-Gain test to find out the increased ability to solve hydrocarbon problems. The results showed that the level of N-Gain was in the range of 0.33 with a moderate category which meant an increase in students' problem solving abilities after using the SAVI model assisted by puzzle media. Thus, it can be concluded that students' problem solving abilities can be improved through the application of SAVI learning models assisted by puzzle media

    Chunking Strategy; in Enhancing Fourth Semester Students’ Reading Skill at English Department of Muhammadiyah University

    Teaching reading skill to the students needs applying the appropriate strategy to stimulate students’ understanding to meet the main purpose in the teaching and learning process. It was expected that the strategy itself should be able to be used by the teacher to design the better ways for the students in order to acquire important information. It is realized that many students now need as much information as possible in comprehending all the texts they read. To overcome this problem, the researcher used chunking strategy to improve students’ reading skill. The researcher used true experiment to design this research, then the pre-test was used to find out whether this group in the same level and the post-test was used to detect the progress of the students. The total numbers of the students who involved in the pre-test and post-test were 20. The data showed that the information in the post-test that;  mean score was 70.50, and the pre-test got score was 61.85 then the standard deviation in the post-test was 10.32 and the standard deviation in pre-test is 8.27. It could be concluded that the students get significant progress in their understanding of reading skill by using Chunking strategy in English Department

    Students’ Attitudes in Learning English for Tourism Using Google Classroom in Mataram Tourism College

    The development of information and technology continues to grow in this revolution industry 4.0, especially in the development of technology with the internet. It influences the world of education, especially in learning methods. One of the developments in education and learning methods that are currently in use is Google classroom. The purpose of this study is to identify how students' responses towards learning English Profession using Google Classroom which is applied to the teaching and learning process at the Mataram College of Tourism. This research is survey research. The number of samples of this study was 135 students from Mataram College of Tourism. The variables examined in this study include aspects of ease in accessing, usefulness, communication and interaction, and students’ satisfaction in learning using google classroom. The result of this research shows that students in Mataram Tourism College feel accessing Google Classroom is easy to access, useful, easy for communication and interaction and feel satisfying with Google Classroom. From the interview, the respondents agree that Google Classroom offers helpful features that support the lecturers to manage the course efficiently and effectively. However, from the interview, it was found that the respondents felt that the quality of the learning processing was not better than conventional methods and they were uncomfortable during the learning processing in the google classroom

    Synthesis and Characterization of TiO2 Semiconductor Doped by AgNO3 and Their Application as Photoanode in Dye-sensitized Solar Cells

    The use of Titanium dioxide (TiO2) semiconductors in Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC) devices have been extensively studied and synthesized with various techniques to obtain optimal performance. The TiO2 semiconductors with optimal performance are influenced by the growth method, the time of growth, the shape of the microstructure, and the optical properties. In this study, it was reported about the effect of silver nanoparticles (AgNO3) doping onto TiO2 semiconductors on their microstructure, reflectance, and efficiency of the DSSC device. The synthesis of TiO2 was carried out using liquid phase deposition (LPD) and immersed into an AgNO3 solution with a variation of time namely 0.5 h, 1 h, 2 h, 4 h, and 6 h. The entire TiO2 + AgNO3 sample, then used as a photoanode on DSSC with plastisol as a counter electrode. Characterization of microstructure, reflectance, and DSSC performance was carried out by using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Uv-Vis Spectrophotometer, and Gamry Instrument, respectively. The FESEM results show that AgNO3 has successfully grown on the ITO substrate in a spherical shape with an average particle diameter ranging from 1.52-2.29 μm. From observations using the Uv-Vis Spectrophotometer, obtained the energy band gap values ranged from 0.22 to 2.27 eV. The best results of DSSC device efficiency, with TiO2+AgNO3/Dye/Plastisol structure, have resulted in the Voc of 0.694 V, current density (Jsc) of 0,943 mA/cm2and fill factor (FF) of 43,50% which is obtained at sample 1

    Hubungan Efikasi Diri dan Motivasi Belajar Terhadap Hasil Belajar Berbasis E-Learning pada Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Flores

    The objective of this study is to explore the correlation between self-efficacy and learning motivation towards the learning outcomes based on e-learning among the 4th semester students of mathematics education program, Universitas Flores. The research method used in this study was quantitative research with Linear Regression Analysis use of SPPS involving 40 students of the 4th semester randomly chosen. Data were collected through online questionnaire with Google Form. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov analysis and hypothesis testing with Bivariate Pearson Correlation through SPSS were used. The findings showed that self-efficacy (X1) and learning motivation (X2) had a positive impact towards learning outcomes based on e-learning (Y), as a result from the correlation analysis from R for X1 against Y= 0.895 and X2 against Y=0.923, and significant value between X1 and X2 against Y resulted with (**). Therefore, there was a positive influence with 1% significant. In the other words, the more increase or the better the self-efficacy and learning motivation are, the more increase the learning outcomes from the students

    Problem Based Learning dan Argumentation Sebagai Solusi dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa SMK

    This study is aimed to analyze advantages of problem based learning and argumentation (PBLA) for vocational school students; and (2) analyze the implementation of PBLA to improve the critical thinking skills of vocational school students. This was library research which used secondary data sources and were collected through scientific articles, books, websites, and other relevant sources. Furthermore, the data were analyzed qualitatively with the Miles and Huberman model, which consisted of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. From the results of the literature study, several conclusions can be drawn which include: (1) the implementation of PBLA has the potential to provide benefits both in terms of experience, motivation, innovation, and improvement of 21st Century vocational school student skills; and (2) PBLA supplementation will be very effective in increasing sudents’critical thinking skills if the teacher can direct students to be able to learn actively through various activities such as stating problems, discussing, arguing, concluding solutions, and evaluating
