Word Mapping in Students’ Vocabulary Mastery
Get PDFThis research was aimed to find out the effect of word mapping strategy in students’ vocabulary mastery. The research was experimental research. The population was the second-grade students of SMP Islam Al-Azhar NW Kayangan which consisted of two classes (60 students). This research used total sampling technique to select the samples VIII.1 class (30 students) as the experimental group and VIII.2 class (30 students) as the control group. This research applied word mapping strategy at experimental group and word wall strategy at control group as treatment. In treatment process, the researchers found that the students were interested when the teacher applied word mapping strategy. The teacher was not only focused on the material but also guided the students to be more interactive in teaching and learning process. To analyze the data, the researchers used descriptive and inferential statistics. The result of data analysis showed that t-test 7.171 with t-table 1.672at the level of significance 0.50, it was shown that t-test was higher than t-table. The Effect of Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) Model on Students' Concepts Mastery
Get PDFThis study aims to determine the effect of the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) model on the students’ concept mastery in SMAN 6 Mataram, subject matter of harmonious vibration. This study is a quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population was all students of class X MIA at SMAN 6 Mataram in the 2018/2019 academic year totaling 172 students, with purposive sampling technique obtained by class X MIA 1 as an experimental class and class X MIA 3 as a control class. The concept mastery test instrument uses multiple choice questions totaling 25 items. The concept mastery data obtained were analyzed using t-test with a significance level (α) of 5%. Hypothesis test results indicate that the t-count is greater than t-table, that is 2.482 is greater than 2.020, so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, there is an effect of the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) model on students' concept mastery
Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing Berbantu Lembar Kerja Siswa Berbasis Saintifik Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa
Get PDFThe objective of the research is to find out the effectiveness of the application of guided inquiry learning models to student learning outcomes. The research method used quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design type. The population covered 34 students with saturated sampling technique with a sample of 34 students. The research instrument used test questions and documentation studies as well as data analysis techniques using the independent t-test and effect size test. The results of the study showed that the application of guided inquiry-based learning models with scientific-based worksheets on the learning outcomes of Class VI natural science at SDI Bakunase Kupang was effective, in which the average test score of the control class was smaller than the experimental class at 68.24 α that is 0.001 <0.05, then there was a significant difference in the average value between the control class and the experimental class and the effect size test results was 0.85. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the guided inquiry learning model based on LKS based Scientific is effective towards the learning outcomes of Class VI Natural Sciences at SDI Bakunase Kupang
Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching dan Student Facilitator and Explaining Terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika dengan Mengontrol Kemampuan Awal Siswa
Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to analyze: (1) mathematics learning outcomes between students who are taught using a reciprocal teaching learning model and those who are taught using a student facilitator model and explaining, after controlling students' initial abilities; (2) the interaction between the learning model and learning independence of mathematics learning outcomes. The research population was 30 students in each training. Data collection were performed using test questions in the form of multiple choice. This research was conducted quantitatively using quasi-experimental research method. Data analysis was performed with a 2x2 level covariance analysis technique. The results of hypothesis 1 prove that Ho was rejected with F-count = 4.47 higher than F-table (0.05; 1: 59) = 4.00. Hypothesis 2 results prove that Ho was rejected with F-count = 14.94 higher than F-table (0.01; 1: 59) = 7.08
Modul Dinamika Partikel Terintegrasi Permainan Tradisional Berbasis E-Learning untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Sains
Get PDFThis research is aimed to develop a particle dynamics module integrated traditional games that is applied in e-learning to improve scientific literacy skills. This study was a developmental research because it developed a module based on local wisdom with the R and D method developed by Borg and Gall. Research procedures included preliminary studies, product planning, product development, product validation (validation by experts), product revisions and field tests. Field trials used one group pretest-posttest design with 19 students of 4th natural science education as the samples. The instruments used were validation sheets and scientific literacy test. The results showed that the Particle Dynamics module based on local wisdom of traditional games was declared valid and feasible by experts to be implemented in distance learning (e-learning). In addition, the application of the particle dynamics module based on local wisdom of the traditional game through e-learning had a moderate effect on students' scientific literacy skills
Meningkatkan Keaktifan Siswa Dalam Pembelajaran Daring Melalui Media Game Edukasi Quiziz pada Masa Pencegahan Penyebaran Covid-19
Get PDFThe study aims to determine the increased activity of learning in online learning through the media of educational Quiziz. This research is a class action study with subjects of grade VII students ' study. 6 SMP N 1 Gangga as much as 23 people. The study implemented 2 cycles, each cycle 2 times the meeting. Each meeting is based on 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The implementation of the research stages is slightly different from learning in the classroom because they are conducted separately or students are at home. Based on the results of the study, at a cycle I gained an average student who was active 52.25% with sufficient catagories. While in cycle II obtained average students active 73.9% with high catagori. So from cycle I and cycle II occurred an increase in the activity of 17.65% students. Thus, research can be concluded that educational game media Quiziz can increase the activity of students in online learning during the prevention of the spread of Covid-19 IPS subject
Pengaruh Teknik Assertive Training Terhadap Penyesuaian Diri Siswa di SMAS Darul Hikmah Mataram
Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of assertive training techniques on the adaptation of class X students at SMAS Darul Hikmah Mataram. This research method uses experiments. The population in this study were all students of class X SMAS Darul Hikmah Mataram, amounting to 16 students. In this study using purposive sampling to determine the sample and produced 6 students to study who experienced low adjustment. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using statistical analysis with the t-test formula. In accordance with the results of the calculation of tcount obtained from the results of the study showed 12,156. While the t-test value in the table with db (N-1) = 6-1 = 5 with a significance level of 0.05 or 5% = 2.015. So the results obtained in this study are greater than t table (12,156> 2,015), thus the conclusion obtained in this study is that there is an influence of assertive training techniques on the adjustment of class X students in SMAS Darul Hikmah Mataram

Therefore, we need a method that is able to invite students to play an active role, one of the skills tested is problem-based learning skills, in this training teachers are expected to be more optimized in the application of cooperative learning to improve student learning activities and achievement in SMAN 1 Sakra Timur. This training activity is carried out through several methods of implementation, namely: 1) Coordination of activities, 2) Preparation of tools and materials, 3) Implementation in the field. The results of this community service activity are that teachers as trainees are highly motivated in these activities and teachers have the understanding and ability to apply problem-based learning skills well
THE FORCASTING POWER OF TASK-BASED LANGUAGE TEACHING AND SELF-EFFICACY ON STUDENTS' SPEAKING PERFORMANCE
No full textThis paper is aimed at finding out whether or not: (1) the students who were taught with Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) have better speaking performance than those who do not; (2) the students having high self-efficacy have better speaking skill than those having low self-efficacy; and (3) there is an interaction between teaching methods and self-efficacy on students' speaking performance. The research was conducted at SMAN 8 Mataram. Each class was divided into two groups (the students having high (32 students) and low self-efficacy (30 students). The techniques used to collect the data were speaking test and self-efficacy questionnaire. The data was analyzed by using multifactor analysis of variance 2x2 through SPSS 21 software. The finding shows that Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) improved the students' speaking performance as this method focused on giving the students task to be discussed during the teaching and learning process. Their self-efficacy also influenced students' speaking performance. The higher the students' self-efficacy, the better speaking skill could be performed. However, the study's finding didn't suggest that TBLT is more effective in enhancing students' speaking performance for the students having high or low self-efficacy as there is no interaction between the teaching method and self-efficacy on the students' speaking performance

No full textThe purpose of this service activity is to introducing medicine from early age in order to introduce pharmacists and medicine to elementary school students. The lack of knowledge about medicines in the community begins with the provision of knowledge from an early age to elementary school students because they will later become adolescents and reduce drug abuse in the community as frequently happens to high school students or college students. The method of these activities is carried out by means of online learning using several platforms, including: class whatsapp group, google form, and youtube link. Before being given the material, a pretest and posttest was admitted at the beginning and end of the activity. There are two materials provided, first, introducing Pharmacist Profession and education for DaGuSiBu. The participants of this activity were elementary students of grade 4,5 and 6 SDN Losari. In addition, this service is expected to motivate students to have awareness and be able to supervise other classmates for practicing medicines properly.The results was found that the students received education related to the Pharmacist Profession and understood about DaGuSiBu (properly get, use, save, and throw away the medicines) with the results of the average pretest and posttest scores about Pharmacist of 7.08 and 7.23 respectively, meanwhile DaGuSiBu education was 6.20 for pretest and postest 7.18. So it can be concluded that there was increasing points in knowledge after being given education
