    DIGITAL STORYTELLING IN TEYL: A NARRATIVE INQUIRY OF A PRE-SERVICE TEACHER

    Digital storytelling is a relatively fast-growing currency in many classrooms, particularly in the context of TEYL. In the past decade, numerous studies have captured this trend as listed in the major research databases. Regardless of the rich documentation, it is rare to find an investigation on the area from the perspective of narrative inquiry. This study attempts to fill the methodological gap and seeks to answer two research questions: (1) How does the implementation of digital storytelling in Teaching English to Young Learners (TEYL)? (2) How do the students respond to the use of digital storytelling? Conducted in an elementary school in Surakarta, this study depicts the story of a pre-service teacher when he used digital storytelling to teach English to fifth graders of an elementary school in Surakarta, Indonesia. The data of this study were obtained through video recording, field notes, and students’ reflection. The study reveals that digital storytelling can be delivered through various models and is open to combinations of technology. One model applied in this study has the following general steps: an opening, focusing on the story, further exercises, and closing.     THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING CHRONOLOGICAL PARAGRAPH STRATEGY TOWARD STUDENTS’ WRITING SKILL

    This study aims to identify the effect of chronological order strategy on improving students' ability in writing paragraphs. The sample of this study was 40 students of SMPN 9 SATAP Pujut Central Lombok. This study employed a pre-experimental method by using intact-group comparison.  To gather the data, the pre-test and post-test were distributed to the groups to collect the writing score and the percentage of students’ writing classification. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was applied to testing the hypothesis. The finding data shows that there was enhancement of students’ classification in writing between pre-test and post-test. In pre-test the average of students’ classification between fair, poor and very poor. But in post-test the average of students’ classification improved into very good, good, fair and poor. The result of data analysis indicates a significant effect of using chronological order to improve students’ writing ability. It evidenced by the significant level was lower than 0.05 (0.00<0.05)

    This study aimed to recognize the differences in learning outcomes of students at the Perhotelan Politeknik Bosowa by using Local Wisdom based Character Education Learning Model. The research method applied R&D method with the ADDIE research model. The research stages applied were 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development, and 4) Implementation. This research was conducted at the Politeknik Bosowa with a sample of 20 Hospitality Study Program students. Data were collected using assessment instrument filled in by lecturers. This research used quantitative and qualitative analysis. Based on the results of the validity test, the instruments and products developed were in the valid category. The instruments and products developed were validated by experts. Based on the results of observations of student activities in applying 3S cultural local wisdom, the results of the student assessment were in a good category. Thus, the results of the assessment indicated that students had been able to implement the 3S concept when attending practical classes in the course of cake and bread processing at Politeknik Bosowa

    The purpose of this study was to describe the character values in the batik art work with Ngawi's distinctive historical and natural motifs as a content of art education in elementary schools. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a hermeneutic approach. The subjects in the study were Ngawi batik craftsmen. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation of the batik craftsmen and the resulting batik motifs. The data analysis technique used the interactive model analysis technique of Miles and Huberman. The results showed that the character values contained in the phytecanthropus erectus motif were religious, hard work, creative, love for the country, and communicative. The character values contained in the teak tree motif were religious, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, communicative, peace-loving, and responsibility. The character values contained in the rice plant motif were religious, disciplined, hard work, national spirit, love for the country, respect for achievement, and communicative

The purpose of this study was to determine the physical condition of high school futsal goalkeepers in Mataram in 2020. The research method used by researchers is the method of action tests and documentation. The sample selection used non-random sampling method with purposive sampling technique. Analysis of the data used in this study using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques with percentages. The results of a series of tests showed that 33.33% less bleep test, 33.33% less whole body reaction, 58.33% less shuttle run, and 16.66% less category flexibility.     The dribbling ability of the Notorius Mataram club players from observations during the match and the preliminary data obtained by many players whose dribbling is still easily taken by opponents and ball control is still not good. Dribbling is a basic technique that must be mastered with good dribbling is a basic component that is needed in the game of football. In this study the authors examined the practice of dribbling circuits to improve dribbling skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of dribbling circuit training on improving the dribbling skills of soccer players. The method used in this study is an experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. In this study the authors took a sample with a population study that is using all Notorius Mataram players, amounting to 20 people. The research instrument used was a dribbling test from (Nurhasan: 2000). Based on the processing and analysis of increased data from the initial test results obtained an average value of 20.86 and the final test obtained a value of 19.31, the difference between the initial test and final test of 30.91. While the hypothesis test with a similar sample t test was obtained tcount 7.122> t table 1.729 thus Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted.     Kesulitan siswa dalam memahami konsep-konsep dalam mata pelajaran matematika merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika. Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu tindakan yang memperbaiki proses pembelajaran dan meningkatkan hasil belajar. Salah satu pembelajaran inovatif yaitu model pembelajaran problem based learning. Tujuan yang ingin di capai di dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan pendekatan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dianalisis dengan rumus persentase pada hasil belajar dan aktivitas diukur dengan dengan rumus skor aktivitas belajar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa rata-rata aktivitas siswa untuk pertemuan I sebesar 68,23 % yang tergolong cukup aktif dan pertemuan II adalah 70,63 % tergolong kategori cukup aktif. Sedangkan pada siklus II rata-rata aktivitas siswa untuk pertemuan I adalah 74,86 % yang tergolong aktif dan pada pertemuan II adalah 79,20 % juga tergolong aktif. Untuk nilai rata-rata kelas siklus I sebesar 71,45 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar 64 % dan pada siklus II nilai rata-rata ketuntasan belajarnya adalah 81,29 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 88 %. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran problem based learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok keliling dan luas bangun datar di kelas IV SDN 01 Terong Tawah Tahun Pelajaran 2019/ 2020. Dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan. Kata kunci: hasil belajar, problem based learning

    Kolaborasi Zoom dengan WAG Sebagai Potret Merdeka Belajar pada Masa New Normal di SMK Negeri 4 Gowa

    This study aimed to describing the portrait of freedom of learning through Zoom collaboration with the WA Group in the New Normal era in class X TKJ 1 SMK Negeri 4 Gowa. This research method used descriptive methods with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were students totaling 35 people. The research instrument used observation, tests, and questionnaires. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used in this research was descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the motivation and learning activities of class X TKJ 1 SMK Negeri 4 Gowa students during the new Normal period with the learning process through the collaboration of Zoom with the WA Group are in a positive tendency with a percentage agreeing 41.5% and those who quite agree 42.0 %. From this data it can be concluded that Zoom's collaboration with the WA Group as a portrait of independent learning is the best solution as an alternative method of learning during the Covid-19 pandemic

    The purpose of this study is to improve the habit of asking students in the learning process through the optimization of group guidance services. This research method uses classroom action research. The research procedure consists of planning, acting, observing and reflecting in 3 cycles. The subjects of this study were 10 students of class XI TKJ 2 SMK Negeri 4 Gowa. The research data collection technique used observation and questionnaires. While the data analysis in this study used a qualitative descriptive consisting of data processing, data analysis, and data presentation. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in the habits of students in asking through the optimization of group guidance services. The increase in the habit of asking can be seen from the results of observations during the action process in group guidance activities, namely the existence of demands to display questioning behavior, the form of questioning behavior that is displayed is spontaneous, can choose the right time to ask and ask well without offending other people's feelings. As supporting data, to determine the increase in the habit of asking questions is through observations made by counseling teachers and subject teachers as a comparison. The result of the class is that there is an increase in the habit of asking in the learning process gradually from cycles 1, 2 and 3. In cycle 1 the frequency of asking questions is 40%, cycle II is 60% and in cycle III there is 80%. Thus through the optimization of group guidance services can increase the activeness of asking group members in the learning process
