Implementation of the Theory of Terri L. Fauber on Various Tube Voltage (KV) and Current (mAs) on Radiographic Density
Get PDFResearch has been conducted to determine the radiographic density value resulting from tube voltage variation (kV) and current time strength (mAs) with 15% rule. The method used in this research is descriptive method with direct experiment. The study used tubular (kV) and strong current time times (mAs) with a 15% rule of 60 kV 10 mAs, 51 kV 20 mAs, 69 kV 5 mAs, 80 kV 6 mAs, 68 kV 12 mAs and 92 kV 3 mAs . Instead of the object is a step wedge. The results of this study can be concluded that the density value with the use of 15% rule on radiography is no difference
Moderate Level of Genetic Diversity in Anthocephalus Macrophyllus Roxb, an Endemic Tree of Sulawesi and Its Implication in Conservation
Get PDFAnthocephalus macrophyllus Roxb is an endemic tree to Sulawesi having high economic value. It has rarely been investigated, either in genetic population or genetic consevation aspects. The information regarding genetic diversity is very important in order to gain more understanding for breeding and conservation strategies. Genetic diversity is used as material selection of expected genotype. The study was to determine genetic diversity of A. macrophyllus from Sulawesi provenances that would be used in further development of this species. Leaf samples were collected from 108 families of A. macrophyllus belong to Sulawesi provenances. Four out of ten microsatellite markers that had high polymorphism were used for amplifying the 108 DNA samples. Results showed number of allele and mean of allele were 3 to 4 alleles and 3,5, respectively. Moreover, PIC mean of the evaluated loci was 3,7. The analysis of genetic relationship showed that the 108 families had moderate level of genetic diversity. This research suggest to establish germplasm nursery via either seed from different provenance. In situ and ex situ approaches have to be applied together for conserving genetic resources of Anthocephalus macrophyllus
Evaluation of the ACR MRI Phantom for Quality Assurance Test of 1.5 T MRI Scanner in Awal Bros Hospital Makassar
Get PDFImage quality of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) using phantom standard American College of Radiology (ACR) at Awal Bros Hospital Makassar have been studied by using MRI GE type Brivo 355 with strong magnetic field 1.5 Tesla. Phantom heads and standard protocols use the (ACR) standard with an evaluation of seven parameters. Geometric accuracy test results by measuring the height of phantom cylinder in 129.5 mm while the diameter of cylinder in phantom with three measurements obtained value 202.7 mm, 203.0 mm and 202.2 mm. The measurement of high-contrast spatial resolution to distinguish the smallest object on the image is that three rows of holes can be distinguished. Test for determination of the thickness of the slice by calculating the length of the upper and lower signal lane obtained the thickness value of 5.414 mm and 5,439 mm. The measurement of uniformity of image intensity by measuring the value of PUI (Percent Uniformity Integral) for T1W image weighting is 94.3% while for weighting T2W image yields 95.9%. For value of percent signal ghosting obtained value 0.01706. The last parameter of object detection with low contrast is found 30 rows of holes can be evaluated
Behavior Study of Three-Side-Supported Floor Deck Sytem Slab
Get PDFThe purpose of this research is to observe the ultimate strength between conventional slab and floor deck supported at three side, the other side was not supported, and subjected to monotonic loading at the center of the slab. This research used four slabs, two conventional slabs, one Alkadeck type floor deck, and one ISD type floor deck. Slabs were casted in size of 1800x1600mm with 120mm thickness. Conventional slabs were reinforced in two way, using Ï•10 with space of 100mm in negative moment area. While floor deck system slabs were using M6 wire mesh in positive moment area. Load speed was 0,03mm/s. Load was centered to 200x200mm steel plate at the center of the slab. The results found that floor deck system slab decrease flexural strength by 51.6% for Alkadeck and 61.62% for ISD, but increase ductility by 99.32% for Alkadeck and 64.86% for ISD. Steel Strain gauge showed that at floor deck system slab, the steel deck was more brittle and had longer strain hardening compared with steel bar in conventional slab. While on Concrete strain gauge, concrete at floor deck system slab showed sudden increasement in strain before it fails
DINING ON RECIPROCITY IN LOCAL FOOD SYSTEMS: TOWARDS A MORAL ECONOMY OF FOODS
Get PDFChina has witnessed a growing number of social and environmental challenges, which remain obstacles for its rural vitalization. At the core of the discussion on sustainable agriculture and rural development lies the development of sustainable food systems. This article conducts a case study and examines a local food network which has created a reciprocity mechanism between smallholder producers and consumers. The discussion puts a particular emphasis on the interaction between sustainable consumption and production initiatives in the process of achieving the network’s ecological goals. Based on the discussion and findings, the study concludes by proposing to draw on the concept of the moral economy and constructing “a moral economy of foods†to conceptualize social structure of local food systems. In a re- localization process of “local cultural repertoires of foodsâ€, while protocols of certification and traceability could constitute conclusive proofs of the moral economy of foods, a belief in sustainable food systems would stand the moral economy itself in good stead in a time when trust and confidence in the foods labeled “organic†are diminished. The findings presented in the study may have significant implications for designing policies for rural vitalization in China and promoting transitions to more sustainable agriculture and rural livelihoods.Â

Multiple linear regression analysis used in this study. To review the partially relationships between variables, the study operated using T-test, whereas for review simultaneous relationships between variables the study used F-test. The findings of the research is the Religious Background (X1) significantly affected the Accounting students morality judgement (Y), while the difference of Gender (X2) showed the opposite results
Potency Analysis for Agro Science Techno Park Area Development Plan in Gorontalo Province
Get PDFGlobal competitiveness index report in 2015 has put Indonesia in the 30th rank on one of the research collaboration performance between university and industry as innovation pillar. This indicates that there is still lack of synergy between higher education institutions and industry to develop research output. As the answer to this challenge, the Indonesian government initiated the establishment of Science Techno Park (hereafter, STP) as business technology incubator to stimulate and to manage the flow of knowledge and technology in universities, research and development institutions, industry, and government. However, among eight existing STP and 78 more that were planned to be built, Gorontalo, as an agricultural province with the potential to develop agro STP, was not among them. This study is aimed at examining the area potentials, potential commodities, and agro-industry potentials that are feasible for developing a pilot area for agro STP in Gorontalo province as a basis for implementation of agro-industry cluster policy to strengthen the regional innovation system in Gorontalo province. The data were collected from survey and focus group discussion (FGD). The data were analyzed by using Location Quotient Method and Exponential Comparison Method. The results reveal three potential agro-industry regency areas; Gorontalo Regency, Boalemo Regency, and Gorontalo Utara Regency as well as seven leading commodities for these potential areas; corn, coconut, marine fisheries, cocoa, beef cattle, cassava, and chili. Further, for agro-industry, the most dominant potentials to be developed are flour, beef floss, chips, handicraft, and animal feed
A Comparison Approach in Corruption Eradication: An Empirical Examination

The results indicate that corruption occurred systemically in Indonesia due to secularization and capitalization in understanding the living system as embraced by the Republic of Indonesia, which resulted in bad law system both the substance, structure and legal culture, and bad people). The solution of Sharia Islam to eradicate corruption by creating a devotion of community (law awareness) based on religious values. In addition, with a decent salary system, appropriate penalties, the implementation of reverse evidence system and the exemplary leadership, corruption problems can be overcome and a clean government can be realized

Khul’i (Right of Redemption) under Sharia Courts Rules of Bauchi State, Nigeria, 2013: Issues and Challenges
No full textIn the year 2000, most of the States in Northern Nigeria re-introduced Sharia as part of their legal system in disposing of both civil and criminal cases. Bauchi State was among the States that re-introduced Sharia as part of its legal system. Based on that, Sharia Courts were created to replace Area Courts, and Sharia Courts Civil Procedure Rules was enacted to regulate the proceedings before the said Sharia Courts on Civil Matters. The Bauchi State Sharia Courts Civil Procedure Rules, 2001 did not contain a provision on Khul’i. Prior to the amendment of Bauchi State Sharia Courts Civil Procedure Rules, Judges of Sharia Courts were in a serious dilemma as to the amount of money to be paid by a woman in order to relieve herself from the bond of marriage. This is because Khul’i is a right accorded to a wife to remove herself from the union of marriage (to get a divorce) by compensating her husband. In order to address the above problem and others, Sharia Courts Civil Procedure Rules of Bauchi State, 2001 was amended in 2013 and right of Khul’i (Redemption) was incorporated under Order 21 of the Bauchi State Civil Procedure Rules, 2013. With the amendment of the said Sharia Courts Civil Procedure Rules of Bauchi State, instead of addressing the problem of a quantum formula for Khul’i, rather brought a controversy to the said issue. Therefore, this study critically examines the Qur’anic Verses, Hadith and the opinion of the Islamic Scholars on Khul’i and compare them with Order 21 Right of Redemption (Khul’i) of Sharia Courts Civil Procedure (Amendment) Rules of Bauchi State, 2013 so as to ascertain its consistency or otherwise
