Rebusan Daun Ubi Jalar Ungu (Ipomoea Batatas (L.) Lamk Terhadap Peningkatan Kadar Hemoglobin Pada Ibu Hamil Trimester III
Ornamental Plant’s Potentials of Indonesian Native Rubiaceae Collected in Cibodas Botanical Garden
Cibodas Botanical Garden (CBG) is an ex-situ plant conservation institution, maintaining living collection from various taxa including Rubiaceae. Most of Rubiaceae ornamental plants are introduced species with regard to their attractive characters. However, introduced species of ornamental plants is one of significant global plant invasion pathways. The aims of this research was to conduct inventory study of CBG’s Rubiaceae collection, to determine native and introduced species, and to bring out CBG’s native Rubiaceae potential as ornamental plants. The research was divided into two methods, field study and literature study. Field study was conducted by making inventory of Rubiaceae living collections and plant morphology observations. Literature study was conducted by obtaining data of plant distributions, utilization as ornamental plants, and also comparing domesticated species with CBG’s living collections. Results showed that CBG has collected 20 genera, 50 species and 116 specimens of Rubiaceae as living collections. There are 22 native species, 15 introduced species and 13 species that can not be determined. There are 5 species commonly utilized and cultivated as ornamental plants, 8 species are not known for their aesthetic characters but has potential as ornamental plants. These species are Gardenia pterocalyx Valeton, Hypobathrum frutescens Blume, H. racemosum (Roxb.) Kurz, Mycetia cauliflora Reinw., Pavetta montana Reinw. Ex Blume, Psychotria angulata Korth, P. montana Blume, and Wendlandia densiflora (Blume) DC. This study demonstrated that there is a promising potential from these lesser-known native Rubiaceae species for ornamental use. CBG should conduct more research about native species’s potential as ornamental plants
Barriers to the Enforcement of Environmental Law: An Effect of Free Market Domination and Regional Autonomy in Indonesia
This paper discusses different issues relating to the enforcement of environmental law in Indonesia in the long way of the Indonesian government to sustainable development. To reach reliable conclusion, socio-legal approach was employed in this paper. Throughout the work the researcher analyses environmental philosophies including anthropocentrism, biocentrism and ecocentrism. This phenomenon does not only pose responsibility to the government but also to private individuals or companies in their operations in order not to leave burdens to the shoulders of future generations. This ideology was not well ensured in the free-market economy and regional autonomy as the proliferated regulations were not directed to meet the efficient and equitable environmental principles. Hindrances to the effective implementation of environmental law, inter alia, the non-envisaged licensing system in administrative enforcement; ineffective civil damages towards the environmental losses; and non-reaching environmental criminal liability. Besides that, the persistent corruption is another impediment to the effective implementation of environmental law in Indonesia.Â
The Law in the Face of the COVID-19 Pandemic: Early Lessons from Uruguay
The Corona crisis is one of the crises that has engulfed the world and Uruguay and has marked all human beings' death and life. This crisis has many legal, political, social, and economic dimensions and has and will have different consequences in this area. So far in the last two centuries, twelve major epidemics of infectious diseases and fifteen famines, and severe droughts have engulfed our world, but this crisis is "of a different kind." It has been less critical to cover the whole world. Infect millions of people, create new words in cultures, and announce major changes in international relations, politics, law, and the world and country economies. No geographical point is safe from this, and it has a serious impact on human relations. This paper is aimed to study the Uruguayan legal system in the post-Covid-19 world. In this paper, Constitutional, Financial, commercial, Labor, Public, and judicial law is discussed in the light of the Covid-19, and its impacts and strategies to mitigate those impacts are mentioned
The New European Union Whistleblowing Directive: In Comparison to Indonesia’s Practice
With the European Union Whistleblowing Directive (2019), the topic of whistleblowing is becoming increasingly important for EU MS’s public and private entities. Whistle-blowers might play a vital role in exposing corruption, fraud and mismanagement of the EU’s supranational norms. The Directive introduced minimum standards for the protection of whistle-blowers and obliges many public and private entities to introduce their own internal whistleblowing channels. The EU also can take some lessons from Indonesia about the practice and obstacle in implementing whistleblowing system. The aim of this article is to introduce the new EU Whistleblowing Directive’s main features and some presumable obstacles for implementation. The hypothesis is that the new Directive might enhance the fairwork-place environment, roll back fraud and corruption, reduce work-related wrongdoing and manage equal treatment and no- discrimination policy including bullying and sexual harassment. However, some theoretical and pragmatic discrepancies will be introduced as well
The Nearest Surfing Spot Search Application in Bali Uses the Web-based
Indonesia is an archipelago that has various kinds of beaches and uniqueness. Surfing has become a very popular activity on some beaches with supportive waves. Bali is one of the tourist destinations that in addition to highlighting customs and culture, also has abundant natural wealth as well as coastal tourism destinations that can be used as surfing spots. This study aims to provide information about the location of the surfing spots and the nearest search support. Researchers developed this application using the waterfall method. Based on the results of questionnaire testing with 20 respondents, 35% agree and 65% highly agree, that this application can help and make it easier for tourists to find the nearest surfing spot
Ductile Deformation Rocks Along the Palu-Koro Fault Zone, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia
The Palu-Koro fault is known as an active fault across metamorphic and plutonic rocks in the Central Sulawesi region. However, still difficult to find structural features and fault rocks along the fault line. Therefore, in this study, we have investigated the deformation characteristics that have been experienced by the rocks that exposed along the fault zone. The microstructure analysis method has been applied through detailed petrographic observations to identifying deformation from quartz recrystallization and porphyroblast characteristics. Based on the quartz recrystallization data, almost the dynamic recrystallization are found in the Palu-Koro fault zone such as grain boundary migration, subgrain rotation and bulging, the bulging recrystallization with undulose extinction that demonstrated recovery with elongate parent and subgrain of the Miocene-Pliocene rocks of Kambuno granitoid in the western and southern sections of the fault zone. In contrast, there are not many high-temperature deformations and low strain rates such as grain boundary migration, although it is known that Kambuno granitoid rocks come into contact with other rocks in this area after metamorphism. The deformation of the rocks around the fault zone has occurred at least in two-stage. The first stage (D1) is still closely related to metamorphism marked by parallel schistosity in metamorphic rocks, recrystallization of grain boundary migration in Wana and Gumbasa Metamorphic complexes, and Kambuno plutonic rocks. The second stage (D2) is characterized by quartz bulging recrystallization and alignment of schistosity was overprinting by C’ shear band or S2 fold crenulation, inter-tectonic porphyroblasts. Both shear band and porphyroblasts are indicated that the sinistral and dextral sense of shear, the sinistral porphyroblasts is consistent with the Palu-Koro movements whereas dextral sense is may be related to other tectonic movements before the rocks are in the position in the shear zone
