Irrigation is an important factor in supporting and increasing agricultural production. For the smooth running of irrigation in Mojomanis Village, awareness is needed from farmers for irrigation fees/pump rent. The purpose of this research is to analyze the characteristics of farmers in Mojomanis Village, analyze the value of farmers' willingness to pay, and analyze what affects the ability of farmers to pay for irrigation services. The analysis approach of this research includes descriptive analysis, contingent valuation method, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that farmers are generally older with male farmers dominating, the majority of farmers' education level is only elementary school level, farming experience is generally 31-40 years, the land area owned by farmers is generally 0.17 hectares, the average cultivated land is owned by farmers and farmers' income is classified as moderate. The average value of willingness to pay (EWTP) of all respondents who are willing to pay for irrigation services/pump rent is in the high category and the total value of willingness to pay (TWTP) for all respondent farmers is also quite high. Factors that significantly affect the willingness to pay (WTP) of farmers are the variable number of family dependents, land area, and income of farmers

This research discusses the important role of livestock extension workers in enhancing the capacity of farmers to implement sustainable farming systems. Livestock Farming in Indonesia faces serious challenges, such as a decline in resource quality and dependence on conventional practices that are not environmentally friendly. One of the solutions introduced is the Low External Input Sustainable Agriculture (LEISA) system, which emphasizes the use of local resources and the minimization of external inputs. This research aims to explore the role of extension workers in assisting farmers to understand and adopt LEISA systems through technology transfer and technical guidance. The research method uses literature study with qualitative descriptive analysis, collecting data from various scientific journals, books, and related documents. The discussion results show that the extension worker plays the role of facilitator, motivator, communicator, and consultant. Although there are some limitations in the role of the extension worker as a facilitator and technology transfer agent, the roles of motivator and consultant are already quite effective. Extension workers also play an important role in promoting LEISA, assisting farmers in natural feed management, and utilizing livestock waste for agriculture. With the involvement of extension workers, it is hoped that farmers can increase livestock productivity while maintaining ecosystem balance and environmental sustainability

The development of the palm oil industry has had a significant impact on the regional economy, particularly in West Kalimantan. Palm oil industry has become one of the pillars of the economy in West Kalimantan because it has the potential to support land. This investment plays an important role in economic growth, because it can increase the growth rate and income of farmers, especially in Jelimpo District. However, investment activities are inseparable from risks that can cause losses. Seeing investment activities that are inseparable from risks, making decisions before starting an investment is very necessary. The purpose of the study, was to analyze the risk perception and tolerance of farmers towards palm oil investment decisions in Jelimpo District, Landak Regency. The method used in this study is quantitative descrptive. This study was conducted in Angan Tembawang Village and Kayu Ara Village, Jelimpo District, Landak Regency, with 86 sample respondents representing palm oil farmers. The variables in this study were divded into 3 (three), namely risk perception, tolerance and investment decisions. The two-tailed risk perception and tolerance attitude scores for the Spearman rank test were 0.000 and 0.005, respectively, due to the significance level (Sig).(2-tailed) 0.05 indicates that farmers' attitudes toward risk and their level of tolerance influence their choices about palm oil investments. While the correlation coefficient value of risk perception of 0.382 and farmer tolerance attitude of 0.302 means that the level of relationship between variables has a sufficint relationship. The results of the study showed that farmer perception of risk is in the high category, meaning that farmers consider palm oil investment as a farming activity that is full of threats and potential losses. While the farmer tolerance attitude towards risk is in the medium category or has a risk neutral attitude, meaning that farmers have a neutral attitude towards risk and tend to consider potential risks and benefits in a balanced manner when making investment decisions

Broiler chicken farms that have developed successfully in the world, such as Charoen Pokphand in Thailand and its branches in other countries, are large-scale and vertically integrated businesses. So that the farm is able to achieve economies of scale. On the contrary, most broiler chicken farms in Indonesia are run on a small scale. Under government policy, small-scale broiler chicken farms cooperate with large companies in partnerships. This study aims to identify economies of scale in partnered broiler chicken farms in Indonesia. This study used secondary data of 228 partner farmer units from the 2014 Livestock Business Household Survey by the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency. The analysis used two approach methods, namely statistically descriptive and linear regression models. The results showed that the partnered broiler chicken farms experienced economies of scale, where the production cost per unit is significantly cheaper on an increasingly large business scale. This shows that the government needs to collaborate with broiler chicken companies to implement a livestock group-based partnership model for small-scale farmers to be able to achieve economies of scale

Cultivator satisfaction is an important thing in the implementation of fisheries extension activities. In this case, the satisfaction of cultivators is related to the quality of the fisheries extension services carried out. This study aims to analyze the level of satisfaction of cultivators with fisheries extension activities. The general research method used in this study is the case study method. The data collection technique in this study uses a selected sampling technique. The criteria used to determine respondents include active fish farmers for at least 1 year, continuous fish farming, and ready to be interviewed. The number of respondents interviewed was 61 people. The types of data collected include primary data and secondary data. Primary data was collected through interviews using questionnaires and field observations. Secondary data is obtained from related agencies and the results of research and scientific publications. The analysis method used is quantitative descriptive analysis. The parameter measured is the level of satisfaction of fish farmers using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method. The indicators used include tangible, responsiveness, reliability, assurance, and empathy. The results of the study indicate that the level of satisfaction of fish farmers is very satisfied, with an average CSI score of 83.36%. The average CSI value for tangible indicators was 4.36%, responsiveness was 4.69%, reliability was 4.76%, assurance was 5.53%, and empathy was 6.61%. From the CSI value, it can be seen that the tangible indicator has the lowest average CSI value. The low tangible is suspected to be due to the lack of facilities and infrastructure used by extension workers during fisheries extension activities. For this reason, it is necessary to make efforts from the central government in providing assistance to fisheries extension workers in Bandung Regency due to the lack of facilities and infrastructure to support in carrying out extension activities

In rural West Java, sheep are a mainstay livestock commodity to support livelihoods, because they function dually as a source of food and a source of income, and play a role in maintaining household food security. The research was carried out in Kertajati District, Majalengka Regency, aiming to analyze the food security status of sheep farmer households, and the variables that influence it. The survey method was used to collect respondents data from 126 households. Food consumption status and household food security were identified by interviews using the 3 x 24-hour food recall method. Variables that influence food security status are identified using a binary logistic regression model. The research results show that 37.30 percent of sheep farming households are food secure, 27.78 percent are food vulnerable, 23.81 percent are food questionable and 11.11 percent are food insecure. Sheep farming contributes 30.35 percent to total household income and can provide 65.24 percent of the budget to meet food needs. The number of sheep owned and the number of members in the farmer's household have a significant effect (p < 0.01) on food security status.  The existence of sheep farming plays a very important role in maintaining sustainable household food security. To reduce the negative impact of the deagrarianization process on household livelihoods, sheep farming must be strengthened, among other things, for sheep farming whose semi-intensive patterns are suitable for being transformed into intensive rearing patterns, accompanied by the introduction of feed technology for more efficient feed provision and feeding
