Jajar legowo is a rice planting technique that has been proven to increase rice productivity, but its adoption among farmers is still low. The diffusion of innovation theory and the theory of planned behavior are considered instrumental in explaining the behavior of innovation adoption. The purpose of this research is to analyze the phenomenon of farmers' innovation adoption behavior in the field by integrating these two theories. The research methodology employed is a qualitative approach through a literature review from reputable sources and interviews with farmers. The results of this study indicate that the integration of the Diffusion of Innovation and Theory of Planned Behavior provides deeper insights into the behavior of agricultural innovation adoption. Farmers' adoption behavior is influenced by innovation characteristics and subjective norms supported by external forces and self-efficacy. Farmers' perceptions of the Jajar Legowo system, which increases yields and reduces production costs, have a strong influence on their adoption intentions. Social norms, especially the influence of extension workers and farmer groups, play a significant role in shaping adoption intentions. Additionally, perceived behavioral control and farmers' self-efficacy in implementing this system are key determinants in successful adoption

Local knowledge is an integral part of cultural heritage that develops through the collective experiences of communities in interacting with their natural, social, and cultural environments. One form of this local knowledge is the maintenance of albino buffalo (Kerbau Bule), which are cared for by the abdi dalem (royal servants) of the Surakarta Palace. The local knowledge possessed by the abdi dalem in maintaining these buffalo reflects a spiritual, ecological, social, and human relationship within the context of Javanese culture. This study aims to examine the local knowledge system of abdi dalem in the care of albino buffalo, viewed through the lens of the five principles of livestock management (panca usaha ternak). The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach, involving informants from both the abdi dalem and the local community around the buffalo enclosure. The results of this study show that the practice of buffalo maintenance is based on conventional livestock techniques, guided by cultural values passed down through generations. This knowledge encompasses five key aspects: breeding and reproduction, feeding, general animal husbandry practices, housing, and animal health. The maintenance of the Kerbau Bule in the enclosure located at Alun-alun Kidul also serves as a tourist attraction and provides positive economic impacts for the surrounding local community

The export of Indonesia's fisheries subsector plays a crucial role in the national economy, but this sector faces challenges influenced by monetary policy, which can affect the competitiveness of fisheries products in international markets. This study aims to analyze the impact of monetary policy on the export of Indonesia’s fisheries products, focusing on factors such as the real exchange rate, interest rates, and inflation. A quantitative approach using time series methods is employed, utilizing secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and Bank Indonesia for the period from 1994 to 2023. The results show that monetary policy has a significant impact on the export of Indonesia’s fisheries products. Specifically, the real exchange rate has a significant negative effect on exports, where depreciation of the exchange rate reduces the competitiveness of Indonesian fisheries products. Interest rates have a significant positive effect, indicating that higher interest rates can stimulate exports through increased investment and competitiveness. Inflation also has a positive and significant effect, showing that controlled inflation can enhance foreign market purchasing power for Indonesian fisheries products. Simultaneously, the three variables real exchange rate, interest rates, and inflation have a significant impact on the export performance of Indonesia’s fisheries subsector. Overall, stable monetary policies, particularly in managing exchange rates, interest rates, and inflation, can improve the export performance of Indonesia’s fisheries subsector. This study suggests that the Indonesian government should pay more attention to the impact of monetary policy on exports to enhance competitiveness in global markets

This study uses a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) analysis approach to production, harvested area and productivity in 2013 to 2023. The results of the analysis show that all regencies experienced positive growth rates. Bojonegoro Regency and Pamekasan Regency received the highest production CAGR values, namely 18.99% and 18.52%, respectively. Jember Regency excelled in productivity CAGR value with a value of 11.84% and Probolinggo Regency experienced a decrease in harvested area CAGR value triggered by lack of access to technology and incoming information. When compared to the national level, the four regions showed better performance in all main indicators. These findings confirm that East Java has great potential as a center for national tobacco agribusiness growth. To strengthen competitiveness, recommended strategies include strengthening farmer-industry partnerships, product downstreaming, optimizing Tobacco Excise Revenue Sharing Funds (DBH-CHT), improving market governance, and implementing quality certification

This research focuses on examining the profit-sharing practices in rice farming in Lalonggolosua Village, Tanggetada District, Kolaka Regency. Using a purposive sampling approach, 30 farmers were selected as a representative sample out of 108 rice farmers affiliated with local farming groups. Conducted between January and April 2022, the study found that the dominant sharecropping arrangement in the area involved landowners receiving one-third and tenant farmers receiving two-thirds of the yield. Income analysis revealed that tenant farmers earned an average of IDR 15.67 million per hectare per planting season, while landowner-cultivators earned slightly less, averaging IDR 15.61 million per hectare per season. The efficiency of rice farming, as measured by the R/C Ratio, averaged 4.62 and 4.72, indicating profitable operations. A t-test analysis showed no statistically significant difference in income between landowner-cultivators and tenant farmers. It is recommended that sharecropping agreements be made fairer, with clearer definitions of each party’s rights and responsibilities

This study seeks to investigate farmers' opinions of lowland rice farming risks and to examine the relationship between farmer characteristics and perceptions of lowland rice farming risks in Sungai Kakap District. Data was gathered using interviews, questionnaires, and observations. This study employs quantitative descriptive methods including interval class analysis and Spearman Rank correlation. The results indicate that farmers in Sungai Kakap District exhibited negative perceptions toward the risk of lowland rice farming. Other from that, farmer factors such as education level, farming experience, and wealth have a major impact on the perception of risk in lowland rice cultivation in Sungai Kakap. Therefore, to reduce farmers' unfavorable perceptions of the dangers of lowland rice farming, it is vital to manage risks effectively and develop farmers' knowledge and skills in lowland rice farming

The study on the market integration of broiler chicken meat employs the analysis of the Index of Market Connection (IMC). Based on an IMC value of 0.4767 and β2 of 0.755, it can be concluded that the market integration of broiler chicken meat at the farmer and traditional market levels falls under strong long-term integration. The price transmission elasticity for broiler chicken meat in this study is 0.812, where ET < 1 indicates that the rate of change in the price of broiler chicken meat at the farmer level is smaller or slower than the rate of change in the price of broiler chicken meat at the retailer level in traditional markets. In other words, a 1% increase in price at the retailer level would only result in a 0.81% change in price at the farmer level. This suggests that the marketing system for broiler chicken meat in traditional markets in Indonesia is still considered inefficient
