Hubungan antara Sibling Rivalry dan Pola Asuh Otoriter dengan Motivasi Berprestasi pada Mahasiswa
This study aims to examine the relationship between sibling rivalry and authoritarian parenting style with achievement motivation among university students. The participants in this study were 80 active students from a university in Kudus City, selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments used included a sibling rivalry scale, an authoritarian parenting style scale, and an achievement motivation scale. The results showed that the correlation coefficient between the three variables (rx1,2) was 0.356 with a significance level of p = 0.005 (p < 0.01), and an effective contribution of 12.7%. This indicates a highly significant relationship between sibling rivalry (X1) and authoritarian parenting style (X2) with achievement motivation (Y). The first minor hypothesis test revealed a significant negative relationship between sibling rivalry and achievement motivation, with a correlation coefficient of rx1y of -0.239 and a p-value of 0.032 (p < 0.05). The second minor hypothesis test also indicated a highly significant negative relationship between authoritarian parenting style and achievement motivation, with a correlation coefficient of rx2y of -0.343 and a p-value of 0.002 (p < 0.01). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that there is a significant negative relationship between the variables. Both sibling rivalry and authoritarian parenting style are negatively associated with students’ achievement motivation.
 
Efektivitas Konseling Kelompok dengan Teknik ABCDE untuk Meningkatkan Penerimaan Diri Positif pada Ibu yang memliki ABK
This study aimed to test the effectiveness of group counseling services using the ABCDE technique in increasing positive self-acceptance in mothers who had children with special needs (ABK). The research method used a quantitative approach with a non-equivalent group pretest-posttest control design. The subjects consisted of 12 mothers, 6 in the experimental group and 6 in the control group. The pre-test results showed that all participants were in the moderate category (100%). After the intervention, all members of the experimental group moved to the high category (100%), while the control group remained in the moderate category (100%). The Wilcoxon test produced a Z value of -2.207 with a significance level of 0.027 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores in the experimental group. These findings indicated that the ABCDE technique was effective in helping parents manage emotions and develop positive self-acceptance regarding the condition of their children with special needs. This intervention could be used as an alternative group-based psychological support method in the context of special education

The function of peer interactions in promoting the mental and emotional well-being of adolescents is examined in this study. The issue discussed is how friendships can either improve psychological health or, in the case of toxic connections, exacerbate mental health issues like anxiety and despair. This study used a literature review approach to examine academic papers on peer interactions and their psychological effects that were published between 2015 and 2024. Research shows that while toxic friendships increase the likelihood of stress and emotional disorders, positive peer connections greatly enhance psychological resilience and emotional regulation. The study's conclusion highlights the value of communities, families, and educational institutions in creating healthy social relationships that support teenagers' mental health
Kecerdasan Buatan (AI) dalam Pendidikan: Potensi, Implementasi dan Implikasi Etis
The presence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in educational practice should improve mobility and learning outcomes and enhance students' learning skills. On the other hand, students see AI as a system that helps them accomplish practical learning tasks. This condition creates conflicts and dilemmas in the use of AI in learning. Studies on AI in education recommend metacognition as an important ability for students to utilize AI well. The research aims to find the formulation of metacognitive competencies needed by students in using AI as content in curriculum guidance. The research method used Systematic Literature Review with PRISMA model. The results of the literature review show that metacognitive studies in education and adolescent development refer to a longitudinal study conducted by Roger Azevedo. The potential, implementation and ethical implications are integrated in the Curriculum guidelines in improving metacognitive skills related to AI use are 1) self-regulation, 2) critical thinking, and 3) decision-making processes. Guidance activities that can be done in developing metacognition should be inquiry-oriented such as paired activities (brainstorming), self-assessment, experiential activities, and information selection
Perbedaan Self-Disclosure dan Loneliness ditinjau dari Kepribadian Ekstrovert dan Introvert pada Dewasa Awal Pengguna Media Sosial
Social media users are predominantly young adults. Many young adults use social media for various purposes, such as communication, self-expression, or entertainment. However, social media use is associated with self-disclosure and loneliness in individuals, both extroverted and introverted personalities. The purpose of this study is to identify differences in self-disclosure and loneliness in young adult social media users in terms of extroverted and introverted personalities. There were 112 participants consisting of 44 extroverted individuals and 68 introverted individuals. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used to obtain data is using the DISC test tool, self-disclosure scale, and loneliness scale. The results shows that there is a difference in self-disclosure of extroverted and introverted individuals as indicated by a p value of 0.001 (p<0.05). Meanwhile, there is no difference in loneliness between extroverted and introverted individuals as indicated by a p value of 0.051 (p>0.05)
Efektifitas Teknik Reframing dalam Mereduksi Loneliness (Kesepian) Pada Siswa SMPN 1 Dasuk
Loneliness (kesepian) adalah kondisi psikologis di mana individu merasa tidak memiliki kedekatan emosional dengan orang lain, meskipun tidak selalu dalam keadaan sendiri secara fisik. Fokus tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menentukan efektivitas teknik reframing untuk mereduksi lonelines (kesepian) pada siswa SMPN 1 Dasuk. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode eksperimen melalui one group pretest-posttest design. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukkan rata-rata pretest sebesar 112,7 kemudian setelah dilaksanakan konseling kelompok dengan teknik reframing didapatkan rata-rata posttest sebesar 76,3. Nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) yang dihasilkan melalui uji t yaitu 0,00 < 0,05 maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Dengan demikian bisa disimpulkan bahwa ada perubahan kondisi loneliness (kesepian) sebelum dan sesudah dilaksanakan layanan, artinya teknik reframing efektif digunakan dalam mereduksi loneliness (kesepian) pada siswa SMPN 1 Dasuk
Hubungan Antara Grit dan Regulasi Diri dalam Belajar terhadap Student Engagement pada Mahasiswa Penerima Beasiswa Penuh
This study aims to determine the relationship between grit and self-regulation in learning to student engagement in students who receive full scholarships. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with a total of 100 active undergraduate students from 36 universities who received full scholarships. Data collection was carried out using three instruments, namely the student engagement scale, grit scale, and self-regulation scale in learning. The results of the analysis show that there is a highly significant positive relationship between grit and self-regulation in learning towards student engagement, with a correlation coefficient value of 0.817 and a significance value of p = 0.001 (p < 0.01), and an effective contribution of 66.8%. Based on these findings, the major hypothesis in this study is accepted. Further analysis showed that the grit variable had a highly significant positive relationship with student engagement, with a correlation coefficient of 0.754 and a significance value of p = 0.001 (p < 0.01), and an effective contribution of 56.8%. Thus, the first minor hypothesis is accepted. Meanwhile, the self-regulation variable in learning also showed a significant positive relationship with student engagement, with a correlation coefficient of 0.786 and a p value = 0.001 (p < 0.01), and an effective contribution of 61.8%. Therefore, the second minor hypothesis was also accepted. Overall, the results of this study indicate that both grit and self-regulation in learning have a significant relationship with the level of student engagement in full scholarship students
Hubungan Pola Asuh Demokratis Orang Tua dengan Regulasi Emosi Siswa Kelas X SMAN 1 Lubuk Pakam Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pola asuh demokratis orang tua dengan regulasi emosi pada siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Lubuk Pakam Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Pola asuh demokratis diyakini dapat membentuk individu yang bertanggung jawab dan memiliki kemampuan regulasi emosi yang baik, melalui komunikasi dua arah, pemberian kebebasan yang disertai tanggung jawab, serta kedekatan emosional antara orang tua dan anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel berjumlah 40 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria yaitu siswa SMAN 1 Lubuk Pakam dan Siswa yang orang tuanya menerapkan pola asuh demokratis. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket pola asuh demokratis dan regulasi emosi, yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik korelasi Pearson Product Moment menggunakan bantuan program SPSS. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pola asuh demokratis orang tua dengan regulasi emosi siswa, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar r = 0,408 dan nilai signifikansi p = 0,009 (p < 0,05), yang menunjukkan tingkat hubungan sedang. Adapun nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar R² = 0,166, yang artinya 16% regulasi emosi dipengaruhi oleh pola asuh demokratis orang tua. Sementara 84% regulasi emosi dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yaitu, usia, jenis kelamin, motivasi, norma dan budaya. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi penting dalam pengembangan peran orang tua dan sekolah dalam mendukung perkembangan emosi siswa
Konseling Kelompok Teknik Symbolic Modelling untuk Meningkatkan Kecerdasan Emosional Siswa Kejuruan; Efektifkah?
Students with good emotional intelligence can recognize emotions, manage emotions, motivate themselves, recognize other people's emotions, and build good relationships at school. Efforts to increase these skills by school counselor can be facilitated through group counseling with symbolic modeling strategies. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness of symbolic modeling techniques in group counseling to increase students' emotional intelligence in vocational schools. A total of 16 students were involved using purposive random sampling techniques. Data was collected using an emotional intelligence scale 37-item. The data analysis technique uses the Wilcoxon test with the GraphPad Prism 8 application. The results show that there is a significant difference in students' emotional intelligence scores after being given treatment. On the other hand, the control group experienced an increase in scores but it was not that significant compared to the experimental group. There were significant differences in scores between the experimental group and the control group. These findings confirm that providing group counseling services using symbolic modeling techniques is effective in increasing students' emotional intelligence in vocational schools. The implications of these findings for professional guidance & counseling services in vocational schools in intervening of group settings on students' emotional intelligence
Etika Profesi Bimbingan dan Konseling: Menghadapi Tantangan Kerahasiaan dalam Layanan Konseling Online
Rapid changes in the world of education triggered by technological advances have stimulated interest in the use of online counseling as a method of mental health services. The COVID-19 pandemic has also accelerated the shift to online counseling as a primary option. The research results show that online counseling has equivalent effectiveness to face-to-face counseling. However, there are a number of ethical issues that need to be considered in online counseling practices, especially those related to the confidentiality and security of client data. Efforts to maintain confidentiality are a priority, including the use of secure technology and communication via encrypted platforms. Counselors need to understand the potential risks involved and continually increase their knowledge of online counseling ethics. This study used a systematic literature review (SLR) approach to investigate the development of online counseling practices and related ethical issues. In Indonesia, ABKIN has not yet issued standard guidelines for counseling services via the internet, so this is a challenge in maintaining client confidentiality in this country
