Get PDFEVALUATION OF THE REACTION TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF STRENGTHENING SCHOOL PRINCIPAL IN BPSDM DKI JAKARTA PROVINCE. The strategic role of the headmaster in education requires the implementation of the school principal strengthening. This study aims to see the results of the reaction evaluation of the participants of the strengthening school principal, held by the BPSDM DKI Jakarta province with the evaluation model of Kirkpatrick Level 1. The method used is a descriptive evaluative with the survey method. The instruments used are questionnaires. Sampling with a random sampling purpose technique and selected 90 participants from the total population of 900 people. The results showed an average of the participants’ overall response to the faculty evaluation element of 3.61, so it could be stated that the Participants had a very good perception of the whole teacher. The average is obtained because the quality of module and quality of organizers have been good, while the quality of facilities and infrastructure is very good. The conclusion of this research is the response of participants in the implementation of the school's strengthening training (MCC) is very good towards the teacher evaluation element. So also the participants ' response to the quality of the modules and organizers is good, and the response is excellent to the facilities and infrastructure

Get PDFADOLESCENT SOCIAL ADJUSTMENT OF SINGLE SEX SCHOOLS. Teenagers sometimes have the inability to overcome the conflicts they face. This inability can be seen from the behavior of not finding the right ways to overcome problems, resolve demands from the environment, unable to build good relationships with others, hard to believe and be accepted by other people or their environment. The study aims to determine social adjustment in adolescent single sex schools which is a practice of learning by dividing students according to gender, male students are in a classroom with the same sex, and vice versa. The results of evaluations carried out on single sex schools, there are several problems that hinder the task of adolescent development, one of which is the aspect of social adjustment. The study was conducted using a survey method in class XII students of one of the boarding school high schools in Bandung. The results showed 50% of students included in the category of well-adjustment, and 50% of students included in the category of maladjustment. Therefore, it is necessary to formulate an appropriate requirement for guidance and counseling services designed for the development of boarding school students’ self-adjustment

Get PDFTHE EFFECT OF JAVANESE LANGUAGE LEARNING METHODS THROUGH ROLE PLAYING ON CHILD POLITE BEHAVIOR. The purpose of this study was to examine how much influence the Javanese language learning method through playing macro roles and playing micro roles on the behavior of courtesy in grade 2 elementary school children in Lamongan Regency. The behavior of courtesy in this study is based on Javanese culture, focused on three aspects namely respecting older people, choosing the language level wisely, and obeying orders. This research was conducted at SDN Made IV and SDN Sukorejo II. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 school year with a total of 68 research subjects. Data collection techniques using the method of observation. While the data analysis technique uses t-test, which has previously been tested for normality and homogeneity. The results showed that the average value of the experimental class was 58.24, while the control class was 56.5. From the results of the study found that the results of a significant value of 0.018 < 0.05. Then the results are obtained that there are differences in the average behavior of courtesy between children who are taught with the Javanese learning method through playing macro roles and children who are taught with the Javanese learning method through playing micro roles. Thus, the behavior of the children polite given the Javanese language learning method through playing macro roles is higher than the children who were given the Javanese learning method through micro role playing

Get PDFAUTHORITARIAN PARENTING IS NOT SIGNIFICANTLY RELATED TO THE SELF-CONCEPT OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. This study aims to determine the significant relationship between authoritarian parenting and the self-concept of SMA Kristen 1 Salatiga especially students ini class XII. The measuring instrument used in this study is Scale of Parenting Style compiled by Gafoor and Kurukkan (2014) referring to the theory of Baumrind (1991) and Self-Description Questionnaire II (SDQ-II) compiled by Herbert W. Marsh (1990). The data analysis technique used in this study is Pearson Product Moment Correlation by using SPSS for Windows 20. From the results of the data analysis, the results show that there is no significant relationship between the authoritarian parenting style with the self-concept of Christian XII grade students 1 Salatiga with the correlation of rxy = 0.110 with P = 0.388> 0.05. That is, the increase or decrease in the score of the authoritarian parenting variable and the self-concept variable score cannot be determined

Narrative counseling is a postmodern counseling approach born of ideas in a post-structuralist philosophy that is very coherent to answer conditions and situations of uncertain change. The purpose of this study is to develop and find out the development of digital-based narrative counseling in balancing changes in the all-going to the digital era, which is now a center for militaries. The method of research is using a qualitative approach to critical study methods. Get PDFTHE EFFECT OF GROUP COUNSELING SERVICES ON SELF-EFFICACY OF THE STUDENT WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES. A student with learning difficulties tends to have low self-efficacy in the learning process. The student should be encouraged to have high self-efficacy. Higher self-efficacy shows a more persistent attitude, engage in learning, not worry, and not experience pressure in dealing with problems. This study aims to describe the effect of group counseling services on the self-efficacy of students with learning difficulties in students in Junior High School. This research is a quasi-experimental with one group pre-test-post-test design. The subjects of this were eight students in class VIII. Data collected by AUM PTSDL to found the student with a Learning difficulty and self-efficacy questionnaires to measure the self-efficacy of the student. The results showed that the students' self-efficacy in learning difficulties increased after treatment with the group counseling service. It has shown from the results of differences test between pretest and postest with Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test (Z test) value = -2, 527 (p < 0,05). This means that there was a significant differences self-efficacy of students with learning difficulties before and after group counseling services treatment to the subject. Self-efficacy of the student increase after treatment. This result then was discussed

This study is driven by the tendency of guidance and counseling services at universities, especially in Indonesia University of education by students to establish their future career maturity, nevertheless, the services obtained do not meet their expectations. Considering career guidance for students, especially student career maturity is left alone, passes, and runs by itself. Then students will experience confusion and unpreparedness in facing the next career demands. Students are the final status as learners before entering the world of work and following career demands, so they need direction, career guidance to stimulate the development and stabilization of their career orientation optimally according to the level and characteristics typical of the progress as it goes through. The purpose of this research is the formation of the maturity profile of the student's career. This research uses the quantitative method. This research produces (1) Maturity picture of Student Career (2) The effectiveness of career counseling to strengthen the maturity of the student's career. The conclusion of the research is the maturity of the student's career is in mature category, there is no career guidance service to strengthen student career maturity in Indonesia University of education, based on the results of research can be formulated a model of collaborative career guidance services to harden the maturity of Indonesia University of education student career

Get PDFPROFIL OF PEDAGOGIC AND PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELORS IN BANDUNG CITY. This study aims to get a profile and description of pedagogic and professional competencies of guidance and counseling teachers (counselor) in Bandung. The research used the quantitative approach with survey methods. The population of this research is 127 counselors of the senior high school in Bandung. The Instrument was the development of Permendiknas No. 27 Tahun 2008 concerning Academic Qualification Standards and Counselor Competencies with ten aspects related to pedagogic and professional competencies. Data analysis techniques in this research are descriptive analysis techniques. The result of the research shows that the profile of counselors is in the competent category but in several aspects need some developed. The result of the research can be used as a need assessment for supervisor in understanding counselors competencies so that it can be used as a basis to provide guidance and counseling services effectively and efficiently
Perceived Problems of Strike Action and Deviant Behavior at Selected Higher Institutions in Ekiti State, Nigeria
Get PDFThis study aimed to investigate the perceived problems of strike action and deviant behavior in selected higher institutions in Ekiti State, Nigeria. The descriptive research design of ex-post-facto type was used in the study. Three hundred respondents were selected randomly from two Universities. The respondents were measured with a self-developed scale, and the data obtained were analyzed using descriptive (mean) statistical analysis. Four research questions were raised and answered. The result showed that causes of strike action in selected higher institutions include non-payment of teacher’s salaries, low responds to problems confronting schools among others, problems of strike action in selected higher institutions include production of half-baked graduates, youth involvement in secret cult, widespread of examination malpractice, causes of deviant behavior in selected higher institutions include parental neglect, drug addiction, high level of poverty among others and problems of deviant behavior in selected higher institutions include incessant strike action, widespread of examination malpractice, prevalence of teenage pregnancy among others. Given these findings, the study recommended that school counselors should identify deviant behaviors and counsel adolescents on how it can be prevented and that Government should deem it fit to respond to the yearnings and aspirations of the workers in terms of quick payment of their salaries and other emoluments

Get PDFUTILIZATION OF GRAPHIC MEDIA IN INFORMATION SERVICES THE IMPACT OF DISCIPLINE VIOLATION TO IMPROVE DISCIPLINE BEHAVIOR OF STUDENTS IN SCHOOL. This study aimed to determine the effect of the use of visual media in information services on the impact of disciplinary violations on improving student discipline behavior. This study uses 90 students as subjects (30 students from SMP Negeri 15 Palu, 30 students from SMP Negeri 3 Palu, 30 students from SMP Negeri 10 Palu using Pretest-Posttest Control Group design. Research data collection was conducted using indirect interview techniques as a technique. The research data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential analysis (t-test). The results showed that: 1) the use of Banner media resulted in 40% of students increasing their discipline from low to moderate; 2) the use of X-Banner media resulted in 20% of students increased discipline from moderate to high, and 23.33% of students who increased their discipline from low to moderate; 3) the use of media Leaflets produced 13.33% of students who increased their discipline from being high, and 30% of students who increased their discipline from low to medium; 4) there is an influence on the use of Banner media in information services the impact of disciplinary violations on ked student discipline; 5) there is the influence of the use of X-Banner media in information services on the impact of disciplinary violations on student discipline; and 6) there is an influence of media use Leaflet in information services the impact of disciplinary violations on student discipline
