Enhancing Senior High School Students' Mathematical Communication Skills in Problem Solving Through Scaffolding
This study aims to describe the transformation of mathematical communication skills in high school students through the use of problem-solving scaffolding. Transformation is interpreted as a change in the way students convey mathematical ideas and solutions through writing, visuals, and symbols. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data from TPMKM, think-aloud sessions, and semi-structured interviews. The analysis was carried out based on the Polya stages and source triangulation. The results showed that students in the low category before scaffolding only met the written text (Wr1) and partial mathematical expression (Me) indicators. After scaffolding, they meet Wr1, Wr2, Wr3, Dr, and Me more completely. Meanwhile, students in the medium category initially met Wr1, part of Wr2, and part of Me. After scaffolding, they showed significant changes: they were able to meet Wr1, Wr2, Wr3, Dr, and Me in their entirety. This transformation reflects a process of assimilation, accommodation, and equilibrium, which changes the student's categories from low to medium and from medium to high

Students’ High-Frequency Vocabulary Profile: A Corpus Study at Manado State Institute of Islamic Studies
This research examines the high-frequency vocabulary knowledge of students at Manado State Institute of Islamic Studies utilizing a corpus-based approach. By applying quantitative research design and utilizing the AntWordProfiler software as the mean for generating statistical data of the vocabulary, the research identifies and analyzes the students’ lexical proficiency within the first and second General Service Lists (GSL). The results indicate that students demonstrated limited mastery of high-frequency words, covering only 18% of GSL 1 and 10% of GSL 2, with an overall inclusion of merely 15% across both lists. These findings highlight a critical gap in students' foundational English vocabulary, which has significant implications for English language teaching and curriculum development at the institution. To improve language acquisition outcomes, tailored vocabulary instruction strategies and curriculum adjustments are suggested to enhance students' mastery of high-frequency vocabulary.
Shifting Paradigms: Flipped Classroom Approaches in Open and Distance Learning
This study explores the shifting paradigms in instructional strategies by examining the application of the Flipped Classroom model within the framework of Open and Distance Learning (ODL). Utilizing a literature review method, this research analyzes scholarly articles, books, and previous studies relevant to the integration of flipped learning in virtual and remote educational settings. The data were processed through systematic reduction, organization, interpretation, and synthesis. Findings indicate that the Flipped Classroom approach significantly enhances student learning outcomes in ODL environments. By encouraging students to engage with instructional materials prior to scheduled sessions, this model transforms traditional passive learning into active participation. Students demonstrated positive responses toward the approach, citing increased preparedness and deeper understanding during synchronous interactions. The integration of video-based content and digital platforms supports a more flexible, accessible, and student-centered learning process. Furthermore, the synergy between the Flipped Classroom model and ODL enables a learning experience that is not constrained by time or space, aligning with the demands of 21st-century education. Educational experts emphasize that this paradigm shift promotes greater engagement, improved comprehension, and higher academic achievement through more interactive and efficient use of instructional time
Evaluating the Impact of Government Policies on Child Marriage Prevention in Rembang Regency
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of government policies in preventing child marriage in Rembang Regency, focusing on both preventive and repressive efforts. A qualitative research design was employed, utilizing observations and in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, including the Office of Religious Affairs (Kantor Urusan Agama, KUA), the Social Affairs Office (Dinas Sosial), and the Religious Court (Pengadilan Agama). The findings reveal that government initiatives can be classified into two primary categories: preventive policies, such as the Child-Friendly Village (Desa Ramah Anak), the Child Protection Advocacy Team (Tim Advokasi Perlindungan Anak, KPAD), and PUSPAGA SAMARA (Pusat Pembelajaran Keluarga dan Pengembangan Keluarga Sejahtera Samara), and repressive measures, including the Family Report Book (Buku Laporan Keluarga) and GASPOL (Gerakan Anti Perkawinan Anak). Despite these efforts, the overall effectiveness remains suboptimal due to challenges such as the lack of synchronization between local regulations and national law, insufficient inter-agency collaboration, limited human resources and budget allocations, a literal interpretation of religious teachings, and entrenched patriarchal cultural norms. The study recommends aligning local regulations with Law No. 16 of 2019, enhancing coordination between relevant agencies, increasing human resource capacity, improving budget allocation, and adopting a culturally contextualized educational approach to tackle child marriage.Keyword: Marriage dispensation, Rembang, Preventive and Represive Effort
Constitutional Limits of Delegating Normative Authority to Non-State Bodies: The Case of Indonesia’s DSN-MUI
This study examines the constitutional limits of delegating normative authority to non-structural religious bodies in Indonesia, focusing on the National Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI). As a private religious institution, DSN-MUI issues fatwas that are adopted by the Financial Services Authority, Bank Indonesia, and Sharia financial institutions as binding references in the regulation of Islamic finance. This delegation model raises fundamental constitutional questions regarding legality, accountability, and the distribution of power under the 1945 Constitution. Employing a normative legal method with statutory and conceptual approaches, the study finds that while DSN-MUI enjoys functional legitimacy in Sharia economic regulation, the absence of direct statutory basis and public oversight mechanisms poses risks to the principle of legality and checks and balances. The study recommends a co-regulation model where DSN-MUI fatwas must be formally adopted through state regulations and subject to transparent accountability mechanisms to ensure compliance with the rule of law and constitutional democracy
