The Effectiveness of Comic Strip in Improving Students’ Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension
No full textThe purpose of this study was to discover there was a substantial effect of using comic strips on students’ vocabulary and reading comprehension in the tenth grade at SMK Lab Business School Kota Tangerang. The researcher used a quantitative method. In this study, pre-experimental research one-group pre-test post-test was used with 40 students as the sample, which was taken at non-random. The instruments for data collection were vocabulary and reading comprehension tests. The data distribution was not normal, so the researcher used Wilcoxon Signed Rank to analyze it. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test vocabulary and reading comprehension results of the above pre-test and post-test data were 0.000 less than 0.05. The mean score for the pre-test vocabulary was 58.12 and the mean score for the post-test vocabulary was 78.63. Meanwhile, the pre-test reading comprehension score was 58.12 and the post-test score was 78.63. It revealed a significant increase from the first to the second mean score. As a result, the findings of this study, which used comic strips to improve students’ vocabulary and reading comprehension in the tenth grade at SMK Lab Business School Kota Tangerang had a significant effect. This suggests that comic strips can be used as an alternative media in the process of teaching vocabulary and reading comprehension.Keywords: Comic Strip, Reading Comprehension, Vocabular
KODE ETIK PENDIDIK DALAM PERPEKTIF IMAM GHOZALI
Get PDFAbstrak: Guru merupakan sosok sebagai pembimbing dalam segala aspek baik dalam aspek spiritual, sosial, akhlak, dan lain-lainnya. Maka kalangan masyarakat banyak menaruh harapan lebih pada sosok guru, untuk kesuksesan pada anak-anak yang dititipkan pada sang gurunya. Oleh karenanya seorang guru haruslah mempunyai hukum sebagai landasan dalam menjalankan kehidupannya. Salah satu ulama yang memberikan hukum bagi kalangan pendidik adalah Imam Ghozali. Penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan, dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yaitu penelitian yang menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi pada buku, journal, kitab, internet, serta bacaan-bacaan yang relevan pada judul. Salah satu hukum yang dikemukakan oleh Imam Ghozali adalah kode etik pendidik. Imam Ghozali, memebrikan kode etik sebanyak delapan yang harus diaplikasikan oleh pendidik meliputi; menunjukkan, memberikan kasih sayang kepada peserta didiknya, meneladani pada prilaku, serta sifat-sifat Rosulullah, selalu memberikan nasihat pada peserta didiknya, memberikan pangajaran dengan cara alus, serta mencegah peserta didiknya dari perbuatan keji dengan akhlak yang lembut, tidak diperkenankan untuk melecehkan pada mata pelajaran diluar kompetensi yang dimilikinya, harus dapat mempersingkat pada pelajaran menurut tingkat pemahaman pada peserta didiknya, untuk peserta didiknya yang tingkat pemahaman yang rendah, maka guru memberikan pelajaran yang jelas dan sesuai. Sehingga seorang guru haruslah berkomitmen untuk mengamlakan ilmunya sepanjang hidupnya, serta perkataannya tidak membohongi pada perbuatannya.?Kata Kunci: Kode Etik, Pendidikan, al-Ghazali?Abstract: The teacher is a figure as a guide in all aspects, both spiritual, social, moral, and others. So many people put more hope in the figure of the teacher, for the success of the children entrusted to the teacher. Therefore a teacher must have law as a foundation in carrying out his life. One of the scholars who gave law to educators was Imam Ghozali. The author uses the library research method, with a qualitative approach, namely research that uses data collection techniques including books, journals, scriptures, the internet, as well as relevant readings on the title. One of the laws put forward by Imam Ghozali is the code of ethics for educators. Imam Ghozali, gave eight codes of ethics that must be applied by educators including; showing, giving love to their students, emulating the behavior and characteristics of the Prophet, always giving advice to their students, giving lessons in a nice way, and preventing students from heinous acts with gentle morals, not allowed to harass the eyes lessons beyond their competence, must be able to shorten the lesson according to the level of understanding of the students, for students who have a low level of understanding, the teacher provides clear and appropriate lessons. So that a teacher must be committed to practicing his knowledge throughout his life, and his words do not lie to his actions.?Keyword: Code of Ethics, Education, al-Ghazal
Pengembangan Media Puzzle pada Mata Pelajaran Fikih Materi Sholat Fardu di MTs Al-Inayah Manado
Get PDFDevelopment of Puzzle Media in the Fiqh Subject of Fardu Prayer Material at MTs Al-Inayah Manado. This study aims to produce puzzle media products in the fiqh subject of fardu prayer material and test the feasibility of these products to support learning in class VII MTs Al-Inayah Manado. The development model used is Sugiyono's level 1 development model which has 5 stages, namely potentials and problems, literature study or information gathering, product design, design validation, and tested design. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The questionnaire was addressed to the media validator and material validator. The subjects of this research trial were educators and class VII students of MTs Al-Inayah Manado, totaling 30 students. The measurement scale used is the Likert scale. The results of the Likert scale measurements, then look for the percentage of a number of sample subjects.The results of this study indicate that this puzzle is suitable for use as teaching material, this is based on scores obtained through assessments from material experts getting a percentage of 87% with very valid criteria, and an assessment score from media experts getting a percentage of 77.33% with valid criteria. In product trials on students, it was found that the percentage of feasibility of puzzle media was 91.6% with very valid criteria. And the response from educators gets a percentage of 85.33% with very valid criteria. No full textLearning Evaluation Management in Improving Graduate Quality at the Institute of Arabic Studies Ma'had Al-Birr Makassar. This study aims to establish the method and processes for conducting learning evaluations at the Ma'had Al-Birr Institute of Arabic Studies Makassar in order to improve the quality of graduates at Ma'had Al-Birr. In addition, define the elements that help and hinder the execution of the targeted learning evaluation. This study use descriptive qualitative research to collect data and information on learning assessment management in order to improve the quality of Ma'had Al-Birr graduates through observation, document studies, and interviews. The acquired data were evaluated using a descriptive procedure that included three concurrent streams of activities: data reduction or data simplification, data presentation or presentation, and lastly deriving conclusions or verification. The findings revealed that learning evaluation management at Ma'had Al-Birr Makassar had been successfully managed through planning, coordinating, executing, and overseeing. All parties, from the leadership team to the lecturers, are participating in the evaluation of learning at Ma'had Al-Birr, either directly or indirectly. In this scenario, the academic field plays a critical role in determining the effectiveness of the learning program at Ma'had Al-Birr, including learning assessment. There are supporting and inhibiting variables in the learning evaluation process at Ma'had Al-Birr, however keep in mind that in general, the learning assessment can be assured and responsible for its quality, thus these inhibiting factors do not greatly impact the learning evaluation proces

Its message has long been known as a moderate, tolerant religious institution known as "Rahmatan Lil Alamin" (Blessing for everything in this world). The boarding house of Assalam Manado is one of the boarding houses that hopefully can afford preventive measures to ward off the spread of radicalism and religious extremism. Divorce Cases in Members of Indonesian Police Force: A Positive Law Perspective
Get PDFThis research aims to analyse the factors of divorce in members of a police force, the impacts, and alternatives offered by the court judge to overcome divorce problems from a positive law perspective, the juridical-sociological method. The study took place in the coverage area of Court in Gorontalo, Suwawa, and Limboto. Further, the present work applied a case approach and statute approach. The data from primary and secondary sources were collected from the literature study and field research. The results showed that the factors of divorce comprise: prolonged quarrelling, cheating, economic problems, and domestic violence. The divorce cases lead to several problems that impact the married couple, their children, and their shared wealth. Referring to the Islamic Law perspective, the court Judge provides several alternatives to optimise mediation as dispute settlement before divorce as a last resort. Moreover, the Judge provides post-divorce alternatives to ensure that the ex-husband gives the iddah and mut'ah allowances to his ex-wife and that the ex-husband still supports the children's development.
The Contribution of Custom Institutions in Implementing Custom Sanctions in Gorontalo
Get PDFEfforts to optimize existing customary institutions in the province of Gorontalo in law enforcement during society are significant. The organization of customary institutions needs to be addressed and arranged so that they can be enjoyed and utilized. This study uses a sociological juridical approach by obtaining data by interviewing figures from the Gorontalo traditional institutions. This research carries out by analysis through reduction, presentation of data, and conclusion?Gorontalo customary institution. The study results show that the position of traditional institutions in Gorontalo Province is one of the guidelines for people's lives. Customary institutions are the tools that are used and considered to be able to maintain the values of customary law itself. Imposing sanctions through traditional institutions is more effective because an adat institution grows based on values that live in society and recognize and adhered to for generations. In addition, customary institutions help prevent the accumulation of cases in court. The maximum of this research lies in the space given by the government to customary institutions both in ceremonial activities such as marriages and in law enforcement processes. No full textPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perspektif masyarakat Kecamatan Nuangan tentang pernikahan dini serta proses dari pernikahan dini dan dampak pernikahan dini dalam perspektif Pendidikan Islam di Kecamatan Nuangan Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Timur.Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi, pendoman wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengolahan dan analisis data berupa reduksi data, penyajian data, kemudian penarikan kesimpulan. Dan pengujian keabsahan data berupa triangulasi sumber, triangulasi teknik, dan triangulasi waktu.Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa banyak sekali masyarakat memandang pernikahan dini adalah pernikahan yang dilakukan di bawah umur atau pernikahan masih tergolongan sangat muda, belum dewasa, dan secara garis besar belum siap baik mental maupun fisik. Serta masyarakat memandang juga, bahwa pernikahan dini adalah pernikahan yang dilakukan di bawah umur, berdasarkan peraturan undang-undang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis peneliti ternyata faktor terjadinya pernikahan dini, dikarenakan hamil di luar nikah, akibat dari pergaulan bebas, faktor ekonomi, dan pendidikan. Selain itu, terdapat juga dampak dari pernikahan dini ini, yaitu sikap keegoisan yang membuat pasangan nikah dini yang tidak tinggal ber sama lagi, bahkan akan berdampak pada perkembangan dan pendidikan anak-anaknya serta bisa megakibatkan ketidak harmonisan keluarga, dari masing-masing kedua bela pihak.Kata Kunci:Pernikahan Dini, Perspektif Pendidikan Isla
A Semantic Analysis on Maroon 5 Songs
Get PDFThe research aims to find out lexical and contextual meaning in the lyrics of Maroon 5 songs. This research chose five songs from Maroon 5; titled Maps, Leaving California, In Your Pocket, New Love, and Sugar. The research method used descriptive qualitative. The focus of this research is describing the context found lexical and contextual meaning theory by Mansoer Pateda to conduct this research. The step to obtain the data is collecting source of the data from Maroon 5 songs taken from the internet. After that, the writers select, read and listen the songs which contain lexical and contextual meaning the content of the songs. As a result of this research, it found 34 dates with lexical and contextual meanings. The result of this research is a complex romantic love story, or the bitter sweetness of a relationship of happiness, betrayal, struggle, and even loss.Keywords: semantic, lexical meaning, contextual meaning, songs, Maroon
The Position of the Fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council Number 33 of 2018 Concerning the Measles-Rubella Vaccine: National Law Perspective
No full textThis study aims to analyze the position and validity of the fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Number 33 of 2018 from the perspective of national law. And analyze the position of the fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council Number 33 of 2018 in terms of sociological, philosophical, and juridical application aspects. This research is library research sourced from secondary data with a statutory approach, namely an approach with an analysis of national legal rules and regulations related to Islamic law. The results show that the Fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council is not binding to be obeyed and is only in the form of appeals and suggestions given to Muslims because the Fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council is not included in the national legal framework in Indonesia. The fatwa regarding the Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccine is allowed (permissible) on the grounds of a star’s emergency. Yes, with the applicable provisions. The 2018 Fatwa Number 33 by the Indonesian Ulema Council applies sociologically because the Muslim community accepts the fatwa and makes a warning about the status of the Measles-Rubella vaccine
