Get PDFLa presente ponencia tiene por objetivo reflexionar acerca de la influencia que han tenido las nuevas tecnologías de la información en la incorporación, cada vez más evidente, del estilo de vida swinger -matrimonios o parejas estables que aceptan de común acuerdo incluir en sus relaciones sexuales a terceras y cuartas personas o, por lo regular, a otras parejas que comparten este estilo de vida- a la industria del sexo en México. Del mismo modo, se comenta sobre el papel que desempeñan las mujeres en este contexto y las implicaciones que tiene este proceso en la conceptualización / re-significación del matrimonio monógamo del modelo heteronormativo.The purpose of this paper is to reflect on the influence that new information technologies have had on the increasingly evident incorporation of the swinger lifestyle -marriages or stable couples who accept by mutual agreement to include in their sexual relations a third and four people or, as a rule, other couples who share this lifestyle-to the sex industry in Mexico, as well as the role that women play in this context and the implications of this process in the conceptualization / re-significance of the monogamous marriage of the heteronormative model
The sacrificial violence as the foundation of order through the theory of mimetics by René Girard
Get PDFEn el siguiente artículo se abordan las principales hipótesis de la teoría mimética creada por el historiador francés René Girard. Se señala que la violencia, al estar inscrita en los deseos, corresponde a una dimensión humana que siempre busca la diferenciación; por ello, puede considerarse como un fundamento del orden social. Con el fin de clarificar este hecho, se analiza el papel del mecanismo sacrificial como uno de los principios estructurantes de la existencia humana y de la integración de sus comunidades. La teoría de Girard representa una interpretación alternativa frente las teorías contractualistas propuestas en el campo de la filosofía política. Finalmente, se discute sobre la vigencia de las prácticas sacrificiales en el mundo contemporáneo, tomando como ejemplo el enfrentamiento terrorismo-contraterrorismo, a partir del enfoque mimético.The following paper it will be addressed the principal hypothesis about the theory of mimetics created by the French historian René Girard. It is stressed that violence being embedded in the wishes corresponds to a human dimension that is always looking for distinctiveness. Thus, it can be seen as a basis of social order. In order to clarify this fact, it is analyzed the role of the sacrificial mechanism as one of the underlying principles of the human existence and the integration to their communities. Girard’s theory represents an alternative interpretation facing the contractual theories proposed by the field of political philosophy. Lastly, the paper discusses about the relevance of the sacrificial practices in the contemporary world, taking as an example the terrorism-counterterrorism confrontation starting from the mimetics approach
Investigación de las relaciones entre variabilidad climática y enfermedades transmitidas por vector en el Estado de Veracruz
Get PDFIn this work, the observed climate information was adapted to be analyzed and compared with epidemiological information at the level of health jurisdictions, in the state of Veracruz . Applying simple statistical methods, the possible existence of relationships between maximum temperature, minimum temperature and precipitation with dengue rates was explored in the period 2006 to 2016. Although some characteristics were identified about the periodicity and persistence of the incidence of dengue, with similarities to the weather patterns, statistically no significant relationships were found between climate and epidemiology in this study, perhaps due to the aggregation of the epidemiological data on the monthly scale. However, opportunities for deeper studies were identified from data with higher resolution.En este trabajo se adaptó la información del clima observado para poder analizarlo y compararlo con la información epidemiológica al nivel de las jurisdicciones sanitarias en el estado de Veracruz. Aplicando métodos estadísticos simples se exploró la posible existencia de relaciones entre temperatura máxima, temperatura mínima y precipitación con las tasas de dengue en el periodo 2006 al 2016.Aunque se lograron identificar algunas características en la periodicidad y persistencia de la incidencia del dengue, con similitudes a los patrones climáticos, estadísticamente no se encontraron relaciones significativas entre clima y epidemiología en este estudio, debido quizás, a la agregación de los datos epidemiológicos en la escala mensual. No obstante, se identificaron oportunidades para estudios más profundos a partir de datos con mayor resolución

Get PDFThis article aims to reflectively discuss the other every day, a figure of otherness that can help us understand the social dynamics. First, it is argued that the other in everyday life becomes the constant and inescapable tension generated by the differences between people. This tension is a creative principle, whereas, when trying to resolve it, the subjects set the tone of social relations and values and norms that support them. Also, the notion of daily otherness will be used to provide a different way to think about the classic category of otherness in Anthropology, which will consider otherness from its ordinary reality, where, besides a scientific category, is a permanent problem.Este artículo tiene como objetivo discutir reflexivamente sobre el otro cotidiano, una figura de alteridad que puede ayudarnos a comprender las dinámicas sociales. En primer lugar, se sostiene que el otro en la vida cotidiana se constituye en la constante e ineludible tensión que generan las diferencias entre las personas. Dicha tensión es un principio creativo, en tanto que, al intentar resolverla, los sujetos marcan las pautas de las relaciones sociales y los valores y normas que las sostienen. También, la noción de otredad cotidiana será utilizada para ofrecer una vía distinta para pensar acerca de la clásica categoría de alteridad en Antropología, la cual permitirá considerar la alteridad desde su realidad más ordinaria, donde, además de una categoría científica, es un problema apremiante
The social representation of aging in Caribbean subjects living in the city of Santiago de Cuba.
Get PDFEsta investigación examina el concepto de representación social y sus expresiones acerca del proceso de envejecimiento en sujetos de origen caribeño residentes en la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba. Se buscan diferencias y similitudes en el sentido común de los mismos y, sobre esta base, se establecen algunas consideraciones respecto a la expresión del pensamiento caribeño en el aspecto estudiado. Esta investigación que fue realizada en el 2008 con una metodología integradora de elementos cualitativos y cuantitativos, nos permitió arribar a importantes resultados sobre la representación social del envejecimiento en los sujetos estudiados, siendo este el principal objetivo que se persigue en este trabajo.This research examines the concept of social representation, its expressions about the aging process in subjects of Caribbean origin, residents in the city of Santiago de Cuba. Differences and similarities are sought in the common sense of the same and on this basis some considerations are established regarding the expression of Caribbean thought in the aspect studied. This research carried out in 2008, with an integrative methodology of qualitative and quantitative elements, allowed us to arrive to important results on the social representation of aging in the subjects studied, being the main objective pursued with it

No obstante, consideramos necesario analizar en qué medida el discurso actual se torna esencialista e incluso dogmático. Se hace especial énfasis en la importancia del respeto a la dignidad del ser humano en un plano real, dialógico y específico. Para fundamentar este propósito, se echa mano del metalenguaje que brinda la filosofía a través de la ontología y la ética para elaborar un plantea- miento que permita mediar válidamente entre las tesis esencialistas y relativistas.After the lessons left by the great military conflicts at the end of the 20th century, respect for thehuman rights became a central element of the Theory of Law. However, it is considered the need to analyze to what extent the current discourse becomes essentialist and even dogmatic. Special emphasis is placed on the importance of respect for the Dignity of the Human Being on a real,dialogical and specific level. To support this purpose, the metalanguage provided by philosophythrough Ontology and Ethics is used to elaborate an approach that allows a valid mediation between the essentialist and relativist theses
Conocimientos, pensamientos y opiniones sobre la violencia en la pareja adolescente
Get PDFThis study was performed in a high school in Mexico City, whose objective was to identify the knowledge, thoughts and opinions of students studying the fifth semester of the course on the subject of psychology on the subject of violence in teenage couple. A questionnaire was designed and applied with nine reagents that considered the three categories of interest; this was validated by a group of high school students and two experts. It was applied to 100 students. It was found that students identify primarily physical violence, minimizing psychological violence and neglecting sexual and economic violence. They showed lack of knowledge favoring a holistic conception of the subject, thus, making it impossible to have opinions that reflect relationships that exclude violence and elements to identify risk factors in their relationships.El presente estudio se realizó en un bachillerato de la ciudad de México, cuyo objetivo fue identificar los conocimientos, pensamientos y opiniones de los estudiantes cursantes del quinto semestre de la asignatura de psicología sobre la violencia en las parejas adolescentes. Se diseñó y se aplicó un cuestionario constituido por nueve reactivos, en los cuales se trataron tres categorías de interés, el cual, previo a su aplicación, fue validado por un grupo de estudiantes de bachillerato y dos expertos. Dicho cuestionario fue aplicado a 100 estudiantes y se encontró que los estudiantes identifican primordialmente la violencia física, minimizando la violencia psicológica y dejando de lado a la violencia sexual y económica. Mostraron carecer de conocimientos que favorecieran una concepción holística del tema y, con ello, imposibilitando poseer opiniones que reflejen relaciones excluyentes de violencia y elementos para identificar factores de riesgo en sus relaciones
The Beast: the face of some of its territories and inhabitants
Get PDFEl presente manuscrito introduce una reseña de fotografía etnográfica que muestra una parte de la vida cotidiana de los migrantes centroamericanos que utilizan trenes cargueros como medio de transporte para atravesar México e intentar llegar a los Estados Unidos. Las imágenes de la Bestia y sus territorios de paso intentan fundamentar una reconstrucción de la experiencia de estos migrantes y sus vivencias durante el tránsito transmexicano a partir de la recolección de datos etnográficos llevados a cabo en distintas partes de México -entre el 2014 y el 2016- en las vías del tren, estaciones de ferrocarril y a bordo de los mismos trenes de carga. De esta manera, la compilación de imágenes que aquí se presenta apunta al examen de las maneras en cómo estos migrantes experimentan sus viajes en la Bestia y cuál es el valor y simbolismo que atribuyen a este medio de transporte.The present manuscript introduces a review of ethnographic photography that shows a part of the daily life of Central American migrants who use freight trains as a means of transport to cross Mexico and try to reach the United States. The images of the Beast and its territories of passage try to base a reconstruction of the experience of these migrants and their experiences during the transmexican transit from the collection of ethnographic data carried out in different parts of Mexico -between 2014 and 2016 - on train tracks, railway stations and on board the same freight trains. In this way, the compilation of images presented here aims to examine the ways in which these migrants experience their journeys in the Beast and what is the value and symbolism they attribute to this means of transport
Urban resilience profile of Cozumel Island, Mexico
Get PDFLa determinación de perfiles de resiliencia urbana es una línea de trabajo que instauró el gobierno de México en el año 2016. Su primera versión fue a nivel nacional con la generación de un reporte de 17 ciudades. Los principales resultados arrojaron una deficiencia técnico metodológico para hacer frente al desastre y se reconoce la necesidad de elaborar perfiles que consideren el “sentir” local y la participación de los habitantes. Así, el presente estudio tiene como finalidad la determinación del perfil de resiliencia de los asentamientos humanos de la isla de Cozumel, lugar con más de 85 mil habitantes y con impacto de huracanes de categoría 4. Se parte de la técnica de los 10 esenciales, cuyas secciones se enriquecieron con preguntas específicas a manera de indicadores. Se estableció el relevamiento de información a través de un muestreo representativo a nivel municipal –manzana, recopilando datos de 519 hogares en los meses de junio y julio del año 2018. Finalmente, se resume que el grado de resiliencia de la isla de Cozumel es de 5.18, considerando como medio, y con retos significativos en la capacidad social e institucional para hacer frente a la gestión integral de riesgo ante desastres.The determination of urban resilience profiles is a line of work established by the government of Mexico in 2016. Its first version was nationwide with the generation of a report of 17 cities. The main results showed a methodological technical deficiency to face the disaster and the need to elaborate profiles that consider the local & quot; feeling" and the participation of the inhabitants is recognized. Thus, the present study aims to determine the resilience profile of the human settlements on the island of Cozumel, an island with more than 85 thousand inhabitants and with the impact of category 4 hurricanes; for this, it is based on the technique of the 10 essentials, whose sections were enriched with specific questions as indicators. The survey of information was established through a representative sample at the municipal level – block, collecting data from 519 households in the months of June and July 2018. Finally, it is summarized that the degree of resilience of the island of Cozumel is 5.18 , considering as a means, and with significant challenges in the social and institutional capacity to face the integral management of disaster risk
Marta Ugarte: between two tombs and memories. Reflections on the body and death of the disappeared Chilean detainees.
Get PDFGeneralmente, el cuerpo frente a la muerte es entendido como el cascaron sin vida que queda enel camino producto cuando el alma lo abandona con el objetivo de alcanzar un plano espiritualsuperior. Sin embargo, a pesar de dicha naturalizada relación, para quienes se quedan en vida y son a su vez deudos de aquel que muere, el cuerpo aparece como un elemento fundamental del que hay que hacerse cargo, manifestando así su importancia y significación, que para el caso constituiría fundamentalmente en un estrecho vínculo de memoria que reposa en la corporalidad. Por ello, en la búsqueda de evidenciar dicha relación, nos enfocaremos en aquellos cuerpos que más falta nos hacen, ya que fueron arrebatados de las manos de sus deudos más cercanos: los detenidos desaparecidos en Chile, y de entre ellos, el caso de Marta Ugarte: un cuerpo que rebalsa de memoria una de las épocas más trágicas de la historia contemporánea.The body facing death is generally understood as the lifeless shell that remains in the path when the soul abandon it with the purpose of reaching a superior spiritual level. However, despite this naturalized relationship, those who stay in life and are in the same way relatives of the one who dies. The body appears as a fundamental element of which one must take charge, thus manifesting its importance and significance, which in the case would fundamentally constitute a close link of memory that rests on corporality. Because of this, in the task of showing this relationship, we will focus on those bodies that we need the most as they were snatched from the hands of their closest relatives: the disappeared detainees in Chile, and among them, the case of Mars Ugarte, a body that overflows from memory one of the most tragic times of contemporary history
