Dos calamitosos en el inicio de la revolución de independencia en Zacatecas
Get PDFRealizes about the vicissitudes of two characters with influence on the beginning of the independence revolution in the region of San Luis Potosi and Zacatecas in New Spain. Their forays made them famous but reviled and qualified Rafael Iriarte as a traitor to the insurgent cause and Francisco Alvarez, realistic, as cruel and bloodthirsty. The fate of the two was very different. Iriarte was shot early in the process of revolution and Alvarez survived beyond the consummation of independence. The actions of both characters and their influence on the beginnings of the war in the north novo Hispanic center are analyzed.En este texto se da cuenta las vicisitudes de dos personajes con influencia en el inicio de la revolución de independencia en la región de San Luis Potosí y Zacatecas de la Nueva España. Sus correrías los hicieron famosos pero denostados y calificados, Rafael Iriarte como traidor a la causa insurgente y Francisco Álvarez, realista, como cruel y sanguinario. El destino de los dos fue muy diferente. Iriarte fue fusilado tempranamente en el proceso de revolución y Álvarez sobrevivió más allá de la consumación de independencia. No obstante, para el análisis de este discurso visual, es necesario su circunscripción en dos coyunturas temporales, aquellas que expliquen la estructura interna de la sociedad y que den cuenta de la razón compositiva de las imágenes en cuestión. Si bien, el lenguaje periodístico presentaba diferencias, la imagen comercial podía exponer preocupaciones e ideales de la sociedad y presentar elementos estilísticos para la identificación de sus autores. The iconographic language is a historical watershed for the study of post-revolutionary newspapers and magazines, such as the Universal which presented various commercials advertisements. However, for this visual discourse analysis, it is necessary to circumscribe it in two temporal conjunctures, those that explain the internal structure of society and realize the compositional reason of the images in question. Get PDFEl estado de Quintana Roo cuenta con una tradición literaria con poco más de un siglo de existencia (129 años). Su historia literaria arranca en el siglo XIX; adquiere cierto dinamismo en la primera mitad del siglo XX y en el último cuarto del siglo XX surgen diversas voces en la parte sur del estado. No obstante, es en el siglo XXI, de la mano de escritores afincados en la parte norte del estado, principalmente en la ciudad de Cancún, cuando se genera una innovación temática en la literatura de Quintana Roo: el turismo. Propongo revisar someramente la obra poética de dos autores, Miguel Ángel Meza y Óscar Reyes Hernández, donde el tema del turismo es el eje articulador de sus propuestas estéticas.The state of Quintana Roo has a literary tradition with just over a century of existence (129 years). His literary history begins in the nineteenth century; it acquires a certain dynamism in the first half of the 20th century; and in the last quarter of the 20th century, various voices emerged in the southern part of the state. However, it is in the 21st century, hand in hand with writers based in the northern part of the state, mainly in the city of Cancun, when a thematic innovation is generated in Quintana Roo’s literature: tourism. I propose to briefly review the poetic work of two authors, Miguel Ángel Meza and Óscar Reyes Hernández, where the theme of tourism is the axis of his aesthetic proposals
Resiliencia del sistema de drenaje pluvial ante inundaciones: caso de estudio Chetumal, Quintana Roo, México
Get PDFFloods are one of the effects of hurricanes that have been more evident on coastal areas causing human deaths and economical loss. This tests the response capacity of drain system infrastructure. The objective of this research was to determine resilience of drain system infrastructure facing floods, produced by hurricanes, in the city of Chetumal, Quintana Roo, México. Five components were considered, each one with a variable number of indicators, which are shown in parenthesis: sturdiness (8), redundancy (7), resources (2), speed (2) and adaptive capacity (13). Each value was standardized, then weighted through experts’ enquiry and finally resilience rate was defined, 0.2982 was found for the city of Chetumal. This demonstrates a low rate for resilience, which was mainly associated to resources and redundancy components. Based on this, both components should be strengthened in order to increase resilience rate stressing normative and territorial planning instruments application, emergency plans in case of floods, maintenance service plans of drain system infrastructure as well as investment in prevention programs.Las inundaciones son uno de los efectos de los huracanes que se han evidenciado más en las zonas costeras, ocasionando pérdidas de vidas humanas y económicas. Esta situación ha puesto a prueba la capacidad de respuesta de los sistemas de infraestructura de drenaje pluvial. El objetivo de la investigación que precedió a este trabajo fue determinar la resiliencia ante inundaciones asociadas a huracanes del sistema de drenaje pluvial de la ciudad de Chetumal, Quintana Roo, México. Se consideraron cinco componentes, cada uno con un número variable de indicadores mostrados entre paréntesis: robustez (8), redundancia (7), recursos (2), rapidez (2) y capacidad adaptativa (13). El valor de cada indicador se normalizó; luego, se ponderó mediante la consulta de expertos; y, por último, se integró el índice de resiliencia, obteniéndose un valor de 0.2982 para la ciudad de Chetumal. Este valor indica una resiliencia baja, asociada principalmente a los componentes recursos y redundancia. Con base en lo anterior, se deben reforzar ambos componentes para elevar la resiliencia con énfasis en la aplicación de normativas e instrumentos de planeación territorial, planes de emergenciaen caso de inundaciones, planes de mantenimiento de la infraestructura pluvial, así como inversión enprogramas de prevención

Get PDFLa compilación preparada por Elvira Concheiro y Víctor Hugo Pacheco que recupera los escritos de Raquel Tibol –crítica de arte y militante en México– es relevante por ser un trabajo único y de cuidadosa selección que unifica y discute su trayectoria a lo largo de más de sesenta años –período que va de 1965 a 1999-. La idea central del libro propone recuperar la obra de Tibol por el valor de su contribución a la investigación y difusión de la cultura y arte mexicano, así como por sus elaboraciones que expresaron la constancia de su postura política desde la crítica marxista y su militancia apoyando el área cultural del Partido Comunista Mexicano (PCM). Se indica así que “la interacción entre espacio político y espacio cultural o artístico era para ella una danza permanente de un duelo complementario;” (Concheiro y Pacheco, 2016: 12) dentro del cual, prevaleció en todo momento la integridad de la crítica artística. Fue esta actitud la que le valió el respeto de la comunidad de artistas en México al tiempo de envolverla en una polémica constante.The compilation prepared by Elvira Concheiro and Víctor Hugo Pacheco that recovers the writings of Raquel Tibol - art critic and militant in Mexico - is relevant because it is a unique and carefully selected work that unifies and discusses her career over more than sixty years-period from 1965 to 1999-. The central idea of the book proposes to recover the work of Tibol for the value of its contribution to the investigation and diffusion of Mexican culture and art, as well as for its elaborations that expressed the constancy of its political position from the Marxist critique and its militancy supporting the cultural area of the Mexican Communist Party (PCM). It is indicated that "the interaction between political space and cultural or artistic space was for her a permanent dance of a complementary duel;" (Concheiro and Pacheco, 2016: 12) within which, the integrity of artistic criticism prevailed at all times . Nuevos caminos digitales para nuestra publicación: el OJS
No full textIn July we participated in a course on the Open Journal System (OJS) program that was organized by the UADY Education and Science magazine. This activity was carried out in the computer room of the Faculty of Education itself and, during the days of the event, we learned various technical aspects of this platform. One of the details that prevented us from adopting the OJS, was to assume that we should modify the design of our page, but we certify that it is not so. The most important thing was that we managed to solve many doubts we had about its use and application. As a practical exercise of the course, we designed a magazine prototype. In this way we perceive that the program is very intuitive and friendly. Hence, then, the decision to implement it in our publication.
En el mes de julio participamos en un curso sobre el programa de Open Journal System (OJS) que fue organizado por la revista de Educación y Ciencia de la UADY. Esta actividad se llevó a cabo en la sala de cómputo de la propia Facultad de Educación y, durante los días que duró el evento, aprendimos diversos aspectos técnicos de esta plataforma. Uno de los detalles que nos inhibía de adoptar el OJS, era el de suponer que debíamos modificar el diseño de nuestra página, perocertificamos que no es así. Lo más importante fue que logramos solventar muchísimas dudas que teníamos sobre su uso y aplicación. Como ejercicio práctico del curso, diseñamos un prototipo de revista. De esta manera percibimos que el programa es muy intuitivo y amigable. De allí, entonces, la decisión de implementarlo en nuestra publicación

No full textEl presente artículo indaga la repugnancia en la vida política que ha sido sustrato del conflictoarmado en Colombia. A partir de la revisión de distintos informes y análisis sobre la violencia en este país, se concluye que dichos estudios han centrado sus aportes en la vía de la racionalidad política, dejando de lado la configuración emocional de las violencias. Por esta razón, la perspectiva teórica en la que se sitúa este artículo entra en diálogo con la teoría de las emociones políticas de Nussbaum. Es decir, se les reconocen varios atributos a las emociones políticas, tales como el construirse socialmente, el ser comunicativas y dar cuenta de creencias y juicios.This article explores the repugnance in political life, which has been the subject of the armed con-flict in Colombia. Starting from the revision of different reports and analysis on violence in thiscountry, it is concluded that these studies have focused their contributions on the path of politicalrationality, leaving aside the emotional configuration of violence. For this reason, the theoreticalperspective in which this article is placed enters into dialogue with Nussbaum’s theory of political emotions. That is, they are recognized several attributes to political emotions, such as building oneself socially, being communicative, and give an account for beliefs and judgments
