Matrix Integration with Jitsi Conference Server for Online Learning
The current online learning process requires virtual face-to-face media to interact between lecturers and students. However, currently available media requires lecturers to pay a fee to communicate indefinitely. Therefore, we need a media that can facilitate lecturers to do learning easily. This study aims to integrate jitsi with matrix conferences as a real-time online communication medium in learning. This type of research is development research (R&D) with the waterfall method. The steps taken are analysis, design, coding and testing. The analysis is carried out on the system development needs, then the design stage of the Jitsi architecture with a matrix, then coding using PHP and testing through QoS. QoS testing has very good throughput results, poor packet loss, very good delay, and excellent jitter for small-scale applications. It shows that picking video conferencing can be used as a medium of communication in online learning
Design and Build a New Student Registration Information System Supported by SMS Gateway at Alhira Middle School
This study aims to design a Web-Based Online Registration Information System Supported by SMS (Short Message Service) Gateway at Alhira Middle School that is valid, practical, and effective. The process of registering new students, which has been taking place at Alhira Junior High School, has not yet run online; this can be seen from the data process, report generation that still uses Ms. Office Word, and use paper archives. It makes data security not guaranteed, allowing much data to be lost. On the other hand, for prospective registrants who want to know information related to schools, it is still difficult to do, because it requires prospective registrants to come or visit the hut directly. Another problem is that more prospective new students come from outside the Tanah Datar area, of course, it requires a lot of costs, especially transportation. This problem is the background of this research. The type of research used is Research and Development, with the 4-D model stands for Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. While the system development model used adopts the SDLC cycle (System Development Life Cycle, namely the waterfall model. The results of this study are a new student registration information system that has been tested for products including validity, practicality and effectiveness tests. The results of the validity test were carried out on three people; the validator obtained a total score of 0.88 with very valid criteria, the practicality test was carried out on three validators obtaining a total value of 93.33 with very practical criteria, and the effective value for ten respondents obtained a total result of 0.79 with very effective criteria. After testing the product, this information system can be declared feasible and can be used in the process of accepting new students at Alhira Middle School
Heavy Equipment Rental Schedule Report Application Using Visual Basic.Net and MySQL Database
The heavy equipment business in Indonesia is again excited in line with the increasing demand for heavy equipment by various sectors such as the mining sector, the agro-industry sector, and the construction sector. PT. Petronesia Benimel is one of the business fields engaged in renting heavy equipment. The management of the heavy equipment rental schedule to other companies has been carried out using a computerized system, namely using the Microsoft Excel application which is still not optimal in integrating, calling and processing data at once. Using these applications independently results in the management of heavy equipment rental reports being constrained because tenant data and rental management are often out of sync. The application uses Visual Basic programming language and MySQL database supported by research and product development methods and waterfall development models. Based on the trial results of using a schedule report application that can make it easier for staff to manage heavy unit rental schedules from various partner companies (stakeholders) so that better reports are obtained
Pelatihan Manajemen Referensi Menggunakan Mendeley untuk Menulis Artikel Ilmiah bagi Guru-guru MGMP SMP Negeri di Pekanbaru
Writing scientific articles is closely related to the references used. The arrangement of references in a scientific article indicates that the article is written based on relevant sources. The current problem faced by teachers in writing scientific articles is the inability to manage references using Mendeley. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct reference management training using Mendeley in writing scientific articles. This activity aims to make it easier for teachers to do citations from various existing reference sources. The activity was carried out for MGMP SMP Negeri Pekanbaru. Participants in this training amounted to 25 teachers spread throughout the city of Pekanbaru. The training method used is in the form of guided guidance. Based on the results and discussion of the activities carried out, it can be concluded that the reference management training using the Mendeley application to write scientific articles for MGMP SMP Negeri Pekanbaru is very effective. The effectiveness of this activity is due to an increase in intelligence in more specific aspects, such as increasing participants' understanding and skills in managing references using the Mendeley application. With Mendeley, teachers can streamline and document several reference sources easily. In addition, Mendeley is also very helpful for teachers in writing scientific articles to be published in the Open Journal System (OJS). Overall, it can be stated that this activity plays an important role for teachers because it can effectively improve the professional competence of teachers in facing future challenges
The Implementation of Distance Learning on Early Childhood Education During New Normal Era of Covid-19
The purposes of this study are to describe the implementation and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors of distance learning for early childhood in the new normal era of Covid-19 at ABA Penconga n Kindergarten. Method that used in this study is field research with a qualitative approach, as for data collection techniques used triangulation, and data analysis technique used an interactive model. The results showed that the implementation of distance learning for early childhood at ABA Pencongan Kindergarten was implemented through the Whatsapp class group. The learning implementation was carried out remotely every Monday, teachers provided weekly lesson preparation plans and learning videos. As for learning evaluation teachers used the work, checklists, and anecdotal notes. The work results are in the form of collaging task, coloring and drawing, folding and cutting, and building blocks. Several factors that support this learning process are adequate school facilities, the skills of educators in using media or applications, good psychological condition of students, and their parents’ free-time to assist and guide students to learn at home. On the other hand, the inhibiting factors are school financial constraints, difficulties for teachers in managing learning activities, students being forced to make academic adjustments by limiting social interaction, busy activity of students’ parent, and additional costs for buying internet data packages.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendiskripsikan implementasi dan untuk mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat pembelajaran jarak jauh anak usia dini pada era new normal Covid-19 di TK ABA Pencongan. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran jarak jauh anak usia dini pada era new normal Covid-19 di TK ABA Pencongan melalui grup Whatsapp kelas. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dilakukan secara jarak jauh setiap hari senin tenaga pendidik memberikan Rencana Persiapan Pelajaran Mingguan dan video pembelajaran sekaligus mengabsensi kehadiran. Evaluasi pembelajaran menggunakan hasil karya, checklist, dan catatan anekdot. Hasil karya berupa kolase, mewarnai dan menggambar, melipat dan menggunting, dan hasil karya bangunan balok. Faktor yang mendukung dalam proses pembelajaran ini ialah fasilitas sekolah yang memadai, keterampilan tenaga pendidik menggunakan media atau aplikasi dalam pengajaran yang mumpuni, kondisi psikis murid yang baik, dan keluangan waktu orang tua untuk mendampingi sekaligus membimbing pembelajaran anak murid di rumah. Human Rights Manifestation Through Enforcement of Communal Land Ownership Rights for Women in Minangkabau
A complex issue that is very difficult to unravel in the Minangkabau community is about communal land as a high inheritance according to Minangkabau customs. In Minangkabau custom, the land is women's right, but in control and who takes the lead to maintain land tend to cause dispute between men and women in its development and utilization. High inheritance assets that women should own should be fully controlled and utilized by the brothers. Meanwhile, women must be willing to leave the clan to find residential or agricultural land. This problem becomes more acute when economic problems and social stratification are carried away in the dialogue. Often the rights that women should naturally receive in Minangkabau are crippled by gender stratification developed by brothers who feel more powerful and feel physically and economically stronger. Persoalan pelik yang sangat susah diurai dalam masyarakat Minangkabau adalah persoalan tanah ulayat sebagai harta pusaka tinggi menurut adat Minangkabau. Dalam adat Minangkabau, tanah adalah hak perempuan, namun dalam pengawasaan dan penguasaan sering kali timbul silang sengketa antara laki-laki dan perempuan dalam penguasaan dan pemanfaatannya. Harta pusaka tinggi yang seyogyanya dimililiki oleh perempuan dikuasai dan dimanfaatkan secara penuh oleh saudara laki-laki. Sementara perempuan harus rela keluar dari kaum untuk mencari lahan pemukiman atau pertanian. Persoalan ini semakin meruncing ketika persoalan ekonomi dan kekuatan stratifikasi sosial terbawa dalam dialog tersebut. Sering kali hak yang seharusnya diterima perempuan secara asasi di Minangkabau terkebiri oleh strafikasi gender yang dikembangkan oleh saudara laki-laki yang merasa lebih berkuasa dan merasa lebih kuat secara fisik dan ekonomi
Dynamics of Law Enforcement of the Islamic Criminal Law in Aceh in the Indonesian Democratic System
This study focuses on analyzing the dynamics of the application of the Criminal Code (Qanun Jinayah) in the Aceh region. In the Pancasila democratic system run by the Indonesian state, the government guarantees the right of every citizen and belief group to manifest their teachings, but there are some areas that have the authority to enforce special policies such as Aceh which has ratified regional regulations based on Islamic law and the State supports the application of the rules. the. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative research expected to be able to reveal qualitative information with description-analysis using the strategy used in this research is a case study. This research indicates that the implementation of Qanun Jinayah carried out in Aceh often results in differences of opinion because some parties consider that the application of the law overlaps with human rights which is usually implemented in democratic countries such as Indonesia, moreover the law also applies to non-Muslim residents who live in Aceh. However, there are also several parties who continue to support the implementation of the Qanun Jinayah to continue to be enforced because they have followed special rules ratified by the Government of Indonesia. Penelitian ini berfokus untuk menganalisa dinamika penerapan Peraturan Tindak Pidana (Qanun Jinayah) di wilayah Aceh. Di dalam sistem demokrasi Pancasila yang dijalankan oleh negara Indonesia, pemerintah menjamin hak setiap warga negara maupun kelompok kepercayaan untuk memanifestasikan ajarannya, namun terdapat beberapa wilayah yang memiliki otoritas untuk memberlakukan kebijakan khusus seperti Aceh yang telah mengesahkan peraturan daerah bedasarkan syariat Islam dan Negara mendukung penerapan aturan tersebutMetode yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif yang dimaksudkan untuk menganalisa topik secara mendalam serta menggunakan strategi studi kasus. Penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan Qanun Jinayah yang dilakukan di Aceh sering kali menghasilkan perbedaan pendapat dikarenakan beberapa pihak menilai bahwa penerapan hukum tersebut tumpang tindih dengan hak asasi manusia, apalagi hukum tersebut juga berlaku bagi penduduk non-muslim yang tinggal di daerah Aceh. Meskipun demikian, terdapat juga beberapa pihak yang terus mendukung penerapan Qanun Jinayah tersebut untuk dapat terus diberlakukan karena sudah mengikuti aturan khusus yang disahkan oleh Pemerintah Indonesi
Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Melalui Model Cooperative Learning Tipe Pair Check
overcome this problem is to use the Pair Check type Cooperative Learning model in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to find out how the activities of class VIII students of SMPN 4 Lareh Sago Halaban in the 2019/2020 academic year using the Cooperative Learning model of the Pair Check type and to find out how the mathematics learning outcomes of students who used the Cooperative Learning model of the Pair Check type were better than conventional learning. in class VIII of SMPN 4 Lareh Sago Halaban for the 2019/2020 academic year. This type of research is a pre-experimental research design, namely The Static Group Comparison: Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMPN 4 Lareh Sago Halaban for the 2019/2020 school year. Sampling was done randomly, obtained class VIII 1 as the experimental class and class VIII 2 as the control class. Activity data was obtained from observation sheets and learning outcomes were obtained from students' mathematics learning test results. Based on the analysis of student activity observations, overall student activities with the Pair Check type Cooperative Learning model are classified as active with an average of 70.19%. From the hypothesis test, it was obtained that tcount = 2.11 and ttable = 1.68, because tcount > ttable, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. And from the calculation of SPSS16 obtained a significant value of 0.041, = 0.05 and a significant value ttabel maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dan dari perhitungan SPSS16 diperoleh nilai signifikan 0,041, dan nilai signifikan sehingga H0 ditolak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar Matematika Siswa dengan Model Cooperative Learning tipe Pair Check lebih baik daripada Pembelajaran Konvensional dikelas VIII SMPN 4 Lareh Sago Halaban tahun pelajaran 2019/2020”
Strategy Management In Overcoming Religion Conflicts In Plural Communities In Mopuya Selatan Village, Bolaang Mongondow District
This research aims to discuss the pluralism in heterogeneous region that focuses on three communities of different religions living side by side in harmony and peace. The Plural community develops in South Mopuya Village makes the prevention of conflict needs to be improved.. Researcher discusses how the strategies of religious leaders does and government give understanding to Mopuya’s society to avoid and prevent conflict in plural society. This research is using qualitative method. The data are gained by using some techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Data obtained will be analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. Plurality in this study, assimilation of activities, Need each other at work and increasing awareness of the importance of education, tabligh da’wah and worship tolerance are strategies to prevent conflict. Persuasive approach and language equality as unifying solution for a plural society to live in harmony and peace. Masyarakat Plural berkembang di Desa Mopuya Selatan menjadikan pencegahan konflik antar umat beragama perlu ditingkatkan. Peneliti akan mengkaji pluralisme di wilayah heterogen yang terfokus pada keagamaan dengan tiga komunitas penganut agama yang berbeda hidup berdampingan dengan rukun dan damai. Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana strategi tokoh agama dan pemerintah dalam memberikan pemahaman kepada umatnya untuk menghindari dan mencegah konflik pada masyarakat plural dan bagaimana tantangan serta solusi tokoh lintas agama dalam mengatasi konflik pada masyarakat plural. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi Data yang diperoleh akan dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Pluralitas dalam studi ini, asimilasi kegiatan, saling membutuhkan dalam pekerjaan dan meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya pendidikan, dakwah tabligh dan toleransi ibadah menjadi strategi mencegah konflik. Pendekatan persuasif dan penyetaraan bahasa sebagai solusi pemersatu masyarakat plural untuk hidup rukun dan damai.
The Effect of Body Shaming on Instagram on Student's Confidence
Social media is used to express someone's personal image and connect with anyone. Not only that, many people play social media to display their advantages. So it is undeniable that everyone can compare each other like physical insults or body shaming like social media. This study aimed to determine whether there is an effect of body shaming on Instagram on the trust of female students in the Communication Studies program, State University of Jakarta. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with an explanatory format. The researcher collected data using a questionnaire distributed through a link to 37 respondents, and the sampling technique used was a simple random sampling technique. The results of this study indicate an effect of body shaming on Instagram on female students' self-confidence. The regression coefficient value obtained in this study is Y= 22.788 + 0.285X with a significance level of 0.000 less than 0.05, so it can be concluded that the X variable affects the Y variable. Body shaming on Instagram on female students' self-confidence by 6.9% with a shallow category and the rest is influenced by other things outside of this study, such as the psychological component. Media sosial digunakan sebagai wadah untuk mengekspresikan diri dan berhubungan dengan siapapun itu. Tak hanya itu, banyak orang yang memainkan media sosial hanya untuk memajang kelebihannya. Sehingga tak bisa dipungkiri, layaknya media sosial, setiap orang pasti bisa membandingkan satu sama lain seperti penghinaan fisik atau body shaming. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh body shamming di Instagram terhadap kepercayaan mahasiswi di program studi Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Metode yang idigunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan format explanatory. Peneliti mengumpulkan data menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan melalui link kepada 37 responden dan Teknik penentuan sampel menggunakan Teknik simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh body shaming di Instagram terhadap kepercayaan diri mahasiswi, nilai koefisien regresi yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah Y= 22,788 + 0,285 X dengan tingkat signifikans 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel X berpengaruh terhadap variabel Y. Angka tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh body shaming di Instagram terhadap kepercayaan diri mahasiswi sebesar 6,9% dengan kategori sangat rendah dan selebihnya dipengaruhi oleh hal-hal lain di luar dari penelitian ini, seperti komponen psikolog
