    The Origin of Arabic Lexicography: Its Emergence and Evolution

    This study aims to identify and describe 1) the history of the emergence and evolution of Arabic lexicography, 2) the implications of Arabic lexicography for learning Arabic. This research is a historical study using a qualitative approach with library research methods and documentation techniques. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of the analysis show that 1) the emergence of al fikr al mu'jamiy was based on the difficulty of Arabs in understanding the meanings contained in the Qur'an which was named as gha>ri>bu al Quran, during this evolution period of Arabic lexicography gave an impact against the emergence of variations of the Arabic lexicon and entry systems with its characteristics one each other. This variety is the pure thought and innovation by lexicologists at that time in order to find the most appropriate method and system to codify Arabic vocabulary to make the Arabic lexicon provide an umbrella that can protect the purity and sustainability of the Arabic language from the challenges, 2) Arabic lexicography has a big impact in learning Arabic in the fields of morphology, syntax, and semantics which are language subsystems.

    Textbooks are a very important component in the learning process. The researcher conducts an analysis here using the theory of Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah in his book Manahij Tadris Al-lughah Al-Arabiyyah Bi-ta'lim Al-asasi about the criteria for writing Arabic books for elementary third graders. The results of the study explain that: Dars (1) regarding "Ta'aruf" is all appropriate except for maharah istima'. Dars (2) regarding “Al-Amiluna Bil-Madrasah” are all appropriate except maharah istima' and qira'ah. Dars (3) on “Al-marafiq Wal-Adawatul Madrasiyyah” are all appropriate except for istima' maharah. Dars (4) on “Al-alwan” are all appropriate except maharah istima'. Dars (5) on “Al-unwan” are all appropriate except maharah istima' and qira'ah. Dars (6) on “Baiti” are all appropriate except maharah istima'. Dars (7) on “Min Yaumiyyatunal Usroh” are all in agreement except maharah istima' and qira'ah.الكتب المدرسية هي عنصر مهم للغاية في عملية التعليم. أجرى الباحث تحليلاً هنا باستخدام نظرية الرشدي أحمد طعيمة في كتابه "مناهج تدريس اللغة العربية بالتعليم الأساسي" حول معايير تأليف الكتب العربية لطلاب الصف الثالث الابتدائي. وقد أوضحت نتائج الدراسة أن: دارس (1) بخصوص "التعارف" مناسبة كلها باستثناء مهارة الاستماع (2) بخصوص "العاملون بالمدرسة" كلها مناسبة باستثناء مهارة الاستماع والقراءة (3) في "المرافق والضوئية" كلها مناسبة باستثناء مهارة الاستماع. (4) وفي "الألوان" كلها مناسبة باستثناء مهارة الاستماع. (5) وفي "العنوان" كلها مناسبة ما عدا مهارة الاستماع والقراءة. (6) وفي "بيتي" كلها مناسبة باستثناء مهارة الاستماع.     The aim of this research is to know the teaching of debate in a nafila, with a view to the speaking skill among the students. This research is a field study with a qualitative approach and its description is descriptive. Researchers acquire data from two sources; primary and secondary. In collecting data, by observation, interview and documentation. The method of data analysis used by researchers is the descriptive method.The researchers found that teaching linguistic debate in the Asian Parliament to accustom the speaking skill in “Navala” brings a good result in accustoming the members of the debate class to some achievements in the Arabic debate. The educational process uses a procedural approach, its strategy is a small group, each one is trained, and self-organized learning. The oral audio and discussion is its way, and its means are the video and the WhatsApp audio message.الهدف من هذا البحث هو معرفة تعليم المناظرة في نافلة مع الإطلاع على مهارة الكلام بين التلاميذ. هذا البحث دراسة ميدانية بالمدخل النوعية وصفتها الوصفي. يكتسب الباحثون البيانات من مصادرين؛الأساسية والثانوية. وجمع البيانات، بطريقة الملاحظة، المقابلة والتوثيق. أما طريقة تحليل البيانات يستخدمها الباحثون هى الطريقة الوصفية.وجد الباحثون أن تعليم المناظرة اللغوية بالبرلمان الآسيوي لتعويد مهارة الكلام في "نافلة" تأتى بنتيجة جيدة في تعويد الكلام لدي أعضاء فصل المناظرة حتى يوصلهم إلى بعض الإنجازات في المناظرة العربية. تستخدم علمية التعليم في نافلة المدخل الإجرائي، إستراتيجيتها مجموعة صغيرة، كل واحد مدرب، والتعلم الذاتي المنظمة. والسمعي الشفهى والمناقشة طريقها، ووسائلها هى الفيديو والرسالة الصوتية الوتسابية.

    The development of modern science and technology today makes Arabic have to adapt to new terms that appear. Arabic absorbs foreign words and phrases and becomes part of Arabic through several processes, including the ta'rib process. This study aims to determine the words or terms that indicate the form of ta'rib in electronics and health fields on the mawdoo3.com website and the methods used in the ta'rib process. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a literature study approach. Data collection techniques used are reading, note-taking, and documentation techniques. The steps in analyzing the data are collecting data from the website, choosing the word or term ta'rib, describing the data and classifying it in tabular form, and drawing conclusions. The study's results revealed that on the mawdoo3.com website, 61 data were showing the words and terms of ta'rib. The method used in the ta'rib process is the translation method with 41 data, iqtibas lafdzi form with 10 data, isytiqaq method with 9 data, and naht method with 1 data.كان تطور العلوم والتكنولوجيا الحديثة اليوم يجعل اللغة العربية مضطرة للتكيف مع المصطلحات الجديدة. تمتص اللغة العربية الكلمات والمصطلحات الأجنبية وتصبح لغة عربية من خلال عدة عمليات ، بما في ذلك عملية التعريب. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل الكلمات أو المصطلحات التي تدل على شكل التعريب في المجالات الإلكترونية والصحية على موقع mawdoo3.com  العربي، والطرق المستخدمة في عملية التعريب. هذا البحث بحث وصفي نوعي مع دراسة مكتبية. تقنيات جمع البيانات المستخدمة هي تقنيات القراءة والتدوين والتوثيق. تتمثل خطوات تحليل البيانات في جمع البيانات من الموقع واختيار كلمات أومصطلحات التعريب ووصف البيانات وتصنيفها في شكل جدول واستخلاص النتائج. وكشفت نتائج الدراسة على موقع mawdoo3.com أن هناك 61 بيانات توضح كلمات ومصطلحات التعريب. الطريقة المستخدمة في عملية التعريب هي طريقة الترجمة مع 41 بيانات، وطريقة الإقتباس اللفظي في 10 بيانات، وطريقة الإشتقاق في 9 بيانات، وطريقة النحت في بيانات واحدة

    Methods and Stages of Ijtihad in Fiqh Nawazil: Correlation and Implementation in Fatwa of the Indonesia Ulama Council Related to Covid-19

    Fiqh, like the law in general, always faces new problems (nawāzil) that need solutions through ijtihad. To establish the law of the problem of fiqh nawazil, a standard method of ijtihad is needed. Through this research, the author seeks to review the literature related to ijtihad fiqh nawazil to be assembled into a standard method, which is then compared with the procedure of establishing fatwa of the Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI) and used as a theory to dissect MUI fatwa related to Covid-19. From the results of the study of related literature, ijtihad fiqh nawazil can be conducted by three methods, namely bayānī, ta’līlī, and istiṣlaḥī, which are then practiced through three stages, namely taṣawwur al-masalat, takyīf fiqhī, and taṭbīq al-ahkām. Although there is a slight difference in the aspect of language between the methods and stages of the ijtihad fiqh nawazil with the MUI fatwa establishment procedure, both have the same substance, so it can be concluded that the fatwa establishment procedure of the MUI has included three stages of the ijtihad fiqh nawazil methods. This is increasingly seen in the MUI fatwa decree related to Covid-19, especially in the Law on the Use of AstraZeneca Vaccine.Fikih, sebagaimana hukum pada umumnya, akan selalu menemui masalah-masalah baru (nawāzil) yang membutuhkan solusi melalui proses ijtihad. Untuk menentukan hukum dari masalah fikih nawāzil, diperlukan metode ijtihad yang baku. Melalui penelitian ini, penulis berupaya mengkaji literatur-literatur yang berkaitan dengan ijtihad fikih nawāzil untuk dapat dirangkai menjadi sebuah metode baku, yang kemudian dikomparasikan dengan prosedur penetapan fatwa Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI), serta digunakan sebagai teori untuk membedah fatwa-fatwa MUI terkait Covid-19. Dari hasil pengkajian literatur-literatur terkait, ijtihad fikih nawāzil dapat dilakukan dengan tiga metode, yaitu bayānī, ta’līlī, dan istiṣlaḥī, yang kemudian dipraktikkan melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu taṣawwur al-masalat, takyīf fiqhī, dan taṭbīq al-ahkām. Meskipun terdapat sedikit perbedaan dari aspek kebahasaan antara metode dan tahapan ijtihad fikih nawāzil tersebut dengan prosedur penetapan fatwa MUI, keduanya memiliki substansi yang sama, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa prosedur penetapan fatwa MUI telah mencakup tiga tahapan dari metode ijtihad fikih nawāzil tersebut.     The EFL Rural Students’ Experiences in Coping with Online Learning During the Covid-19 Pandemic

    This study aims to explore the learning experiences of the Indonesian rural students during the Covid-19 pandemic which had transitioned to online learning and solutions. A phenomenological approach was used as a research methodology using semi-structured interviews for the data collection. This study was conducted in one Islamic higher education with seven participants. The data were analyzed through thematic analysis by comparing each participant's interview result in the form of research themes. The five themes that emerged in this study are: adapting to online learning, internet access, learning environment, and learning autonomy. The findings of the study indicate that online learning is a problem for the participants who live in rural areas. These problems were caused by unfamiliarity with the online learning method, unstable internet connection, lack of parents’ support, and learning autonomy. However, all challenges can be solved by students. The findings of the study have implications for government and higher education stakeholders to provide enough facilities for online learning for rural students to participate in the learning process smoothlyPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman belajar siswa daerah terpencil Indonesia selama Covid-19 yang berfokus pada tantangan dan solusi pembelajaran online dari siswa. Pendekatan fenomenologi digunakan sebagai metodologi penelitian dengan menggunakan wawancara semi terstruktur untuk pengumpulan data. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu Perguruan Tinggi Islam dengan jumlah peserta tujuh orang. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik dengan membandingkan hasil wawancara masing-masing partisipan dalam bentuk tema penelitian. Lima tema yang muncul dalam penelitian ini adalah adaptasi pembelajaran online, akses internet, lingkungan belajar, dan kemandirian belajar. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran online merupakan masalah bagi peserta yang tinggal di daerah terpencil. Permasalahan tersebut disebabkan oleh ketidaktahuan terhadap metode pembelajaran online, koneksi internet yang tidak stabil, kurangnya dukungan orang tua, dan kemandirian belajar. Namun, semua tantangan dapat diselesaikan oleh siswa. Temuan penelitian ini berimplikasi kepada pemerintah dan pemangku kepentingan pendidikan tinggi untuk menyediakan fasilitas pembelajaran online yang cukup bagi siswa daerah terpencil untuk berpartisipasi dalam proses pembelajaran dengan lancar

    Building a Bridge to the New Normal in the Province of South Kalimantan, Indonesia and the State of California, America

    The existence of the COVID-19 pandemic definitely has an influence on many aspects of life, including schooling. Various efforts continue to be strengthened in the implementation of this educational process so that educational goals may still be met throughout the epidemic. The government continues to issue policies in responding to changing situations. Educational institutions must be able to provide innovations that are consistent with pandemic policies. In order to establish bridges to the new normal, this research identified and assess policies, methods, and models for implementing education in the post-COVID-19 era. This study is a case study in the province of South Kalimantan, Indonesian and the State of California in the United States. The literature review or study research approach was employed.  The findings reveal that, despite a policy of allowing for limited face-to-face schooling, health protocols in Kalimantan were still strictly enforced. Meanwhile, in California, learning is performed entirely face-to-face, reducing social alienation, despite the fact that wearing a mask is still required. Blended learning was employed as an effective and efficient way to accomplish learning objectives.Adanya pandemi COVID-19 tentunya memberikan pengaruh pada banyak aspek kehidupan, termasuk sekolah. Berbagai upaya terus dikuatkan dalam pelaksanaan proses pendidikan ini agar tujuan pendidikan tetap dapat terpenuhi sepanjang masa wabah ini. Pemerintah terus mengeluarkan kebijakan dalam menanggapi situasi yang berubah. Lembaga pendidikan harus mampu memberikan inovasi yang sejalan dengan kebijakan pandemi. Dalam rangka menjembatani new normal, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi dan mengkaji kebijakan, metode, dan model penyelenggaraan pendidikan di era pasca-COVID-19. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus di provinsi Kalimantan Selatan, Indonesia dan Negara Bagian California di Amerika Serikat. Tinjauan literatur atau pendekatan penelitian studi digunakan. Temuan mengungkapkan bahwa, meskipun ada kebijakan yang mengizinkan sekolah tatap muka terbatas, protokol kesehatan di Kalimantan masih ditegakkan dengan ketat. Sementara itu, di California, pembelajaran dilakukan sepenuhnya dengan tatap muka, mengurangi keterasingan sosial, meskipun penggunaan masker tetap diperlukan.     Abnormal Concept Problems in Modern Psychology (an Analytical Study of Islamic Psychological Studies)

    This paper describes the difference between the concept of human and the concept of normal-abnormal human behavior according to the views of modern psychology and Islam. And its suitability with the basic discussion of human nature. Conceptual discussion is of special interest by researchers because of its urgency in psychological studies. This is based on the phenomenon of society being confused in setting normal and abnormal standards. The researcher uses qualitative research, so the data used by the researcher is descriptive and narrative data, not numbers. The primary data sources used in this research are primary books related to modern psychology, especially in the specification of normal and abnormal studies, while books on psychology are generally a source of support for the results of the analysis in this study. The main focus of discussion in this article is the problem of the concept of normal and abnormal in modern psychological studies. This article explains that the standard of normal and abnormal in the study of modern psychology is strongly influenced by Western relativism. This is contrary to the concept of Islamic psychology which explains the study of normal and abnormal in detail and absolute. Tulisan ini menguraikan perbedaan konsep manusia dan konsep perilaku normal-abnormal manusia menurut pandangan psikologi modern dan Islam. Serta kesesuaiannya dengan pembahasan tentang landasan hakikat manusia. Pembahasan konseptual menjadi sebuah ketertarikan sendiri oleh peneliti dikarenakan urgensinya dalam kajian psikologi. Hal ini berdasarkan fenomena masyarakat akan kerancuan sosial dalam penetapan standar normal dan abnormal. Peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif, maka data-data yang digunakan peneliti adalah data-data dalam bentuk deskriptif dan narasi bukan angka. Sumber data primer yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah buku-buku primer terkait psikologi modern khususnya dalam spesifikasi kajian normal dan abnormal, sedangkan buku-buku kajian psikologi pada umumnya menjadi sumber penunjang hasil analisa dalam penelitian ini. Fokus pembahasan utama dalam artikel ini adalah problem konsep normal dan abnormal dalam kajian psikologi modern. Artikel ini menjelaskan bahwa standar normal dan abnormal dalam kajian psikologi modern banyak dipengaruhi oleh relativisme Barat.     Application of Dropshipping Method in E-Commerce to Create New Business Opportunities for Students

    This study aims to create new business opportunities for students using information technology (IT) and the internet by becoming entrepreneurs. The basic concept of using IT and the Internet is to be the main actor in the development of e-commerce and to be a part of it by using certain methods. One method that can be applied in e-commerce is the dropshipping method. With this dropshipping method, anyone can sell goods/services without having to have a stock of goods/services simply by collaborating with manufacturers, shops, and suppliers. The method in this research is an experimental research method. Explorative research aims to explore or deepen knowledge, phenomena, and new ideas to formulate problems in detail. From the research results on 32 students who became participants, the success rate of implementing the dropshipping method in this study was 71.87%, namely 23 students succeeded in selling products while nine other students failed to sell products or 28.13%. This direct practice's high level of success can be used as a reference for development and broad application in creating new business opportunities for students by becoming a dropshipper

    The Effect of Click Clunk Strategy on Students’ Reading Comprehension Ability

    Abstrak Pengaruh Penggunaan  Click Clunk Strategi dalam Kemampuan Pemahaman Membaca Siswa SMAN 1 Mapattunggul . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan strategi click clunk terhadap kemampuan pemahaman membaca siswa.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen. Peneliti menggunkan penelitian pre- eksperimen dengan menggunakan model satu kelompok  pre-test dan post-test. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 11 SMAN 1 Mapattunggul . Terdapat kelompok eksperimen yaitu kelas 11 IPS (20 siswa) yang di perlakukan sebagai kelas experiment yang di ajar menggunakan click clunk strategi. Peneliti menggunakan purposive sampling untuk menentukan sample penelitian ini. Sedangkan untuk menguji hipothesis peneliti menggunakan uji t dan mengkonsultasikan hasilnya dengan tabel derajat (α) = 0,05. Dari hasil  penelitian dan perhitungan tes awal dan akhir dari kelas experiment terdapat hasil uji t-hitung ( 15,39) lebih besar dari t-tabel (2,024) dengan derajat kebebasan adalah  (df) = 20 dengan ∝ = 0,05.  Jadi, hipothesis alternative (Ha) diterima bahwa ada pengaruh yang significant dengan menggunakan click clunk strategi.. This research  is aimed at determining whether there was  a significant effect of using click clunk strategy on students’ reading comprehension ability. The researcher used one-group pre-test and post-test pre-experimental research. The population of this research was the 11the grade students of SMAN 1 Mapatstutul. The experimental group was treated by using click clunk strategy while the control group was treated by using traditional strategy. Researcher used purposive sampling to determine the sample of this research. To analyze the data the researcher used the t test. From the results and calculation the pretest and post-test score of the experimental class, the t-obtained (15.39) was  higher  than the t-table (2.024) with degrees of freedom (df) = 20 (0.05). The result of the study indicated that, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, there was a significant effect using the click clunk strategy. Therefore, click and clunk strategy was able to help improve students’ reading comprehensionKeywords: Click Clunk Strategy, Students’ Reading Ability
