The Impact of Zakat Management in Banten Province on Improving the Quality of the Mustahiq Family
Indonesia is still having difficulty overcoming the classic problems of wide disparities in wealth and high levels of extreme poverty. One solution that is an instrument for dealing with the phenomenon of extreme poverty and wealth disparities is zakat management. This study analyzes Zakat management's influence on fiscal, economic growth, and poverty on human development in Banten Province. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. The location of this research is in Banten Province. The data of sekunder with secondary data interval 2010-2019, and descriptive analysis method. The data collection using observation and documentation techniques. At the same time, the data analysis is through the classical assumption test, normality test and hypothesis testing. This study's results indicate that Zakat has a higher and positive and significant correlation between the variables of zakat on the human development index (HDI), meaning that the higher the role of zakat, the higher the Human Development Index (HDI). The enormous potential of zakat, if managed with correct, healthy, and accountable management, will be able to lift Mustahiq from the brink of poverty and become economically and fiscally empowered in the domestic family so that it can increase the human development index significantly. Therefore, related parties, namely the local government, BAZNAS, and the muzakki, are recommended to synergize to develop human development policy programs in Banten province
The Art of Moderation in Islamic Semantic Legal Theory: The Case of Yūsuf al-Qaraḍāwī’s Fiqh al-Aqalliyyāt
Abundant studies on Islamic art have been written, ranging from those based on the dimensions of universality, philosophy, and legal aspects. Yet, how it represents a sense of moderation, which can be found in Islamic semantic legal theory is something underdeveloped. The present research hence aims to reveal this aesthetic dimension examined in the context of Yūsuf al-Qaraḍāwī's jurisprudence for Muslim minorities (fiqh al-aqalliyyāt). Apart from the descriptive analysis, this qualitative research will employ a content analysis method to figure out al-Qaraḍāwī's paradigm in Islamic art, moderation, and fiqh al-aqalliyyāt inherent in his multiple works and interrelate to each other. This study concluded that the aesthetic moderation of the Islamic semantic legal theory lies in the four terms falling under the theory of meaning clarity (naẓariyyat al-wāḍiḥ al-dilālah), i.e., manifest (al-ẓāhir), explicit (al-naṣṣ), unequivocal (al-mufassar), and perspicuous (al-muḥkam). The terms produce beautiful meanings, moving gradually from particularity to universality and corresponding to characters of perfection (symmetrical) and elasticity (asymmetrical). In al-Qaraḍāwī's fiqh al-aqalliyyāt's issues like religious pluralism, greeting other religions' festivals, and democracy, the beauty crystallizes in a thesis that every Muslim must have perfect faith and, at the same time, elastic social association with people of other religions. These findings are expected not only to provide new avenues for the discourse of Muslim minorities but also of Islamic art and semantic law

Shariah Enterprise Theory in CSR Disclosure: A Path to Sustainable Reporting
This research examines the application of Sharia Enterprise Theory (SET) in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) disclosure to enhance sustainability reporting. Using a qualitative approach, this study analyzes secondary data, including relevant journal articles. Sharia Enterprise Theory posits that corporate social responsibility extends beyond specific individuals to include accountability to Allah SWT as the ultimate owner. The theory emphasizes that responsibility should address the interests of broader stakeholders, including God, humanity, and nature, with Allah as the highest stakeholder. The concept of sustainability reporting emerged to foster ethical accountability by incorporating environmental, social, and governance aspects alongside economic considerations. Continuous CSR disclosure in sustainability reports requires adherence to standardized guidelines to ensure comprehensive reporting on CSR activities
Leaf extract of Kentut (Paederia foetida L.) as a preventive measure against interleukin-6 expression in the liver of mice in a sepsis model injected with Escherichia coli
Kentut leaves (Paederia foetida L.) are a type of medicinal plant that can be used as a preventative medicine against sepsis. This plant contains secondary metabolite compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, triterpenoids, saponins, and other active compounds. This research aims to determine the influence and effective dosage of Kentut leaf extract as a preventive measure against IL-6 expression in the livers of mice in a sepsis model injected with E. coli. The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The study involved 24 white male mice divided into 6 groups. Data analysis was performed using One Way ANOVA. The average values of IL-6 expression in the mouse livers for each group are as follows: KN at 7.09%±0.06; K+ at 26.36%±0.02; K- at 72.60%±0.05; PI (100mg/kgBW) at 71.04%±0.04; PII (300mg/kgBW) at 62.22%±0.02; and PIII (500mg/kgBW) at 40.92%±0.01. The research results indicate that there is an influence of kentut leaf extract as a preventive measure against IL-6 expression in the livers of mice in the sepsis model injected with E. coli, with a significance value of 0.000 or p-value < 0.005. The effective dosage of kentut leaf extract as a preventive measure against IL-6 expression is the PIII dosage of 500mg/kgBW. The anti-inflammatory mechanism in sepsis is thought to be caused by the presence of flavonoids, alkaloids, phenolic acids, and terpenoid compounds. The most likely anti-inflammatory mechanism is believed to involve flavonoids inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) and lipoxygenase (LOX) enzymes involved in the synthesis of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes, which can trigger IL-6 production
ECONOMIC GROWTH AND PROSPERITY: ARABIC AND ISLAMIC STUDIES PERSPECTIVE
The Islamic world has a rich history of economic thought that has evolved over centuries, and the unique perspective of Arabic and Islamic studies provides valuable insights into contemporary economic challenges. Islamic economics, rooted in the teachings of the Qur'an and Hadith, emphasizes ethical and moral principles in economic activities. Central to this perspective is the concept of "Barakah", which signifies blessings and divine favour in economic endeavours. Arabic and Islamic scholars have long argued that true prosperity can only be achieved when economic growth is accompanied by social justice and the equitable distribution of wealth. This view underscores the importance of wealth redistribution mechanisms such as Zakāt (obligatory almsgiving) and the prohibition of usury (Ribā) to ensure economic fairness. Also, Islamic finance principles have gained global recognition for their ethical framework. Concepts like Mudārabah (profit-sharing) and Mushārakah (joint venture) promote risk-sharing and discourage exploitative practices. Those principles have led to the development of Islamic banking and finance systems, which have demonstrated resilience even in times of economic crises. Moreover, Arabic and Islamic studies emphasize the role of entrepreneurship and innovation in fostering economic growth. Historically, Islamic civilization was a central part of scientific and technological advancement, contributing to prosperity in various fields. This perspective encourages investment in education, research and development as vital drives of economic progress. Furthermore, the Arabic and Islamic worldview promotes sustainable economic practices, emphasizing the stewardship of natural resources and the avoidance of wasteful consumption. This perspective aligns with contemporary global efforts to address environmental challenges and achieve sustainable development. The Arabic and Islamic studies perspective on economic growth and prosperity offers a holistic approach that prioritizes ethical considerations, equitable distribution of wealth, innovation and sustainability. It serves as a valuable source of inspiration for policy makers, economists and scholars seeking to build inclusive and ethical economic systems that benefit society as a whole. The study employs exegetical and qualitative research approaches from the Qur'an, Hadith and other relevant textbooks, journals and online materials respectively.
