The religious study gathering model of Maiyah Cahyo Sumebar as a form of inclusive communication in building religious harmony in Sukoharjo
The religious study gathering (pengajian) of Maiyah Cahyo Sumebar in Sukoharjo represents a model of religious gathering that adopts an inclusive communication approach to promote interreligious harmony within a pluralistic society. Set against a socio-religious backdrop populated by diverse Islamic organizations such as NU, Muhammadiyah, LDII, MTA, alongside non-Muslim communities, this religious forum serves as an open spiritual dialogue space for all segments of society. This study aims to describe the Maiyah Cahyo Sumebar gathering model as a form of inclusive communication in strengthening religious harmony. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that this gathering model accommodates the principles of inclusivity through mutual respect, appreciation, cooperation, and interfaith solidarity. Mutual respect is reflected in the content of the sermons, which avoids triggering sectarian or theological conflicts. Collaboration involves residents, including non-Muslim figures, in organizing committees and event implementation. Social activities, such as charitable donations to the underprivileged, also play a significant role in fostering interfaith solidarity. This model embodies the principle of equality in socio-religious life, echoing the message of QS. Al-Hujurat (49:13), which encourages people to know one another amidst their differences. Therefore, Maiyah Cahyo Sumebar’s study gathering functions not only as a spiritual forum but also as a model of inclusive communication that nurtures interreligious harmony in a multicultural setting like Sukoharjo.

THE KINETICS AND OXIDATION OF NEUTRAL RED BY ClO₃⁻ IN AN AQUEOUS ACIDIC MEDIUM
The kinetics and oxidation of neutral red by chlorate ion were studied in an aqueous hydrochloric acid medium at 300 K, with an ionic strength (µ) of 0.2 M (NaCl), by monitoring the absorbance of neutral red (NR) at 515 nm. The reaction was found to be first order concerning both [NR] and [ClO₃⁻], with a stoichiometric mole ratio of 1:1 between NR and ClO₃⁻. The effect of ionic strength variations was further confirmed by observations that the reaction rate was independent of changes in ionic strength and that the addition of cations had no effect on the rate. No evidence of active radical involvement was observed. The experimental rate law determined was: Rate = (Kk₃[H⁺])[NR][ClO₃⁻]. Based on the experimental results, an outer-sphere mechanistic pathway is proposed
CONDUCTIVITY OF SODIUM HALIDES IN BINARY MIXTURES OF ETHYLENE AND PROPYLENE GLYCOL WITH WATER
The conductivity behavior of sodium halides (NaBr and NaCl) in binary solvent mixtures of water with ethylene glycol (EG) and propylene glycol (PG) is crucial for optimizing electrolyte formulations in industrial applications. This study investigated the effects of varying glycol mole fractions (0 to 0.9) and salt concentrations (0.01 g to 0.13 g) on specific conductivity. The measurements were performed using a calibrated conductivity meter at room temperature (30 ± 2°C). The results revealed distinct patterns affected by solvent composition and salt type. In PG-water mixtures, specific conductivity increased with higher PG content; NaBr values rose from 1.02 μS/cm at a 0 mole fraction to 5.78 μS/cm at a 0.9 mole fraction for 0.01 g of NaBr. NaCl showed a similar but less pronounced trend, ranging from 0.4 μS/cm to 2.02 μS/cm under comparable conditions. Conversely, EG-water mixtures exhibited decreasing conductivity with increasing EG content, as NaBr values declined from 7.45 μS/cm at 0 mole fraction to 0.67 μS/cm at 0.9 mole fraction. These higher conductivity values of NaBr were attributed to its larger ionic radius and greater ionic mobility. These findings shed lights on ion–solvent interactions in mixed-solvent systems and have potential applications in electrolytic processes, energy storage, and industrial formulations requiring precise conductivity control
The non-linear impact of stokvel savings and banking sector development in South Africa
Purpose - The study investigated the non-linear impact of stokvel savings and banking sector development in South Africa. Method - The study applied the unit root break-even test, bounds F-test or cointegration and the nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag (NARDL) model for short- and long-run asymmetric impact with economic time series data ranging from 2009Q4 to 2020Q2. Result - The results of the break-even unit root tests reveal that variables were found to be I(0) and I(1), thus confirming that variables that are I(2) were not present. The findings of NARDL bounds F-test cointegration that there is a long-run relationship between banking sector size and the selected predictors. The short- and long-run multipliers portray adjustment to a new equilibrium after positive and negative shock. Implication - The empirical results demonstrates that NARDL is not the best model to detect long-run relationship between banking sector size and its predic. Originality - This study investigated the impact of stokvel savings and banking sector size in South Africa using the non-linear autoregressive distributed lag (NARDL) bound testing approach technique.

Comparing Task-Based and Project-Based Learning to Enhance Student Engagement in Elementary Social Science Classrooms
This study aims to investigate the varied effects of TBL and PjBL on engagement in primary social science classrooms, which are conducted in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Both are student-centered approaches and both are generally effective at the elementary level; however, there is a dearth of research comparing the effects of these two methods on students' cognitive, affective, and behavioral engagement in this specific classroom context. A qualitative research design was used for the study, and data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with eight teachers and observations in five Class Four Social Studies sections. The information gathered was thematically analyzed in relation to the emerging patterns of participation connected to TBL and PjBL. The findings suggest TBL promotes on-task behaviour with short-term task engagement, contributing to enhanced content knowledge and increased classroom compliance. On the contrary, PjBL supports deeper and longer engagement by students in that they get to be involved cognitively, affectively, and behaviorally in real tasks and working together. However, the autonomy that is a key component of PjBL brings along with it the need for teachers to provide guidance to students, who are concerned with their study time and study focus, for example. This result suggests that a blended approach, combining the structured framework of team-based TBL with directional creativity from the PjBL, may effectively cater to individual differences in learning styles. The findings from this study highlight the importance of a blend of both methods and offering teachers professional development that will equip them to use these hybrid designs effectively
The Relationship between Critical Thinking Skills and Akhlaqul Karimah in Elementary School Students
This study investigates the relationship between critical thinking skills and the practice of akhlakul karimah (noble character) among fifth-grade elementary students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Cokro Aminoto in Ambon, Indonesia. While akhlakul karimah is a core objective of Islamic education, the specific role of critical thinking in its development remains underexplored, particularly within the Indonesian primary education context. Using a quantitative approach, this research employed a psychological scale to measure the critical thinking skills and akhlakul karimah of 61 students. The findings indicate that students' akhlakul karimah is in a "good" category (mean score of 83.21), while their critical thinking skills are categorized as "fairly good" (mean score of 57.87). A significant positive correlation was found between the two variables (r=0.331, p<0.05), with slot deposit 5000 critical thinking contributing 10.9% to the students' akhlakul karimah. Other factors influence the remaining variance (89.1%). These results suggest that fostering critical thinking is an important, though not exclusive, strategy for enhancing students' moral character. The study's implications highlight the need for educational interventions that integrate critical thinking into moral education curricula to better support the development of noble character in students
Development of a Basic Literacy-Based Flipbook to Improve Reading Comprehension of Narrative Texts in Higher Grades
This study addresses the critical challenge of low reading comprehension among elementary school students by developing and evaluating a Basic Literacy-Based Flipbook. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) methodology based on the modified Borg and Gall model, the study aimed to design, validate, and test the effectiveness of a basic literacy-based flipbook integrating local Semarang culture. The research was conducted in two phases: a small-scale test with six students at Pakintelan 01 Public Elementary School and a large-scale test with 28 students at Bringin 1 Public Elementary School, Semarang. The flipbook was designed based on the results of the analysis of potential and identifying problems, and was validated by expert validators. The media expert rated the product with an initial feasibility score of 84.72%, which increased to 91.66% after revision, while the material expert gave it a 90% score, confirming the product's very feasible criteria. In the effectiveness test, the small-scale group's average pre-test score of 56 increased to 82 in the post-test, and the large-scale group's pre-test average of 57.6 rose to 83.5. N-gain scores of 62.3% for the small scale and 61% for the large scale indicate that the media is "quite effective". These findings suggest that the Basic Literacy-Based Flipbook is not only a highly feasible and effective tool for improving reading comprehension but also a promising medium for fostering broader literacy, critical thinking, and collaborative skills in elementary education
Character Education through Project-Based Learning: The Implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile and Rahmatan lil Alamin Project in an Islamic Elementary School
This study explores the implementation of the Pancasila student profile and rahmatan lil alamin project (P5 P2RA) within the Merdeka Curriculum at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Taufiqiyah in Semarang, Indonesia—one of the pilot schools appointed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs to implement the Merdeka Curriculum. Employing a descriptive qualitative design, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and program coordinator. The implementation of P5 P2RA at MI Taufiqiyah covers grades 1, 2, 4, and 5 and follows a structured process consisting of introduction, real action, reflection, and evaluation stages. The themes adopted in this project include local wisdom, sustainable lifestyle, and entrepreneurship, aligned with the character dimensions of belief in God, global diversity, creativity, independence, and mutual cooperation. Grounded in Lickona’s conception of character education and Kolb’s experiential learning model, the findings reveal significant development in students’ character. Students demonstrated increased responsibility, independence, gratitude to God, collaboration, environmental and social awareness, creativity, innovation, and self-confidence. The success of implementation was supported by strategic planning and integration of contextual values, leading to the emergence of a localized model of P5 P2RA suitable for Islamic elementary education. This study recommends strengthening implementation guidelines, expanding teacher training, and developing comprehensive assessment instruments to measure student character growth. The findings also support broader policy adoption to ensure that P5 P2RA effectively shapes students with Pancasila and rahmatan lil alamin values
Application of the Problem Based Learning Model to Improve the Learning Outcomes of Students of PAI Subjects in Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools
This study aims to describe the implementation and improvement of learning outcomes of students in class IA IT SD IT Ribhul Ulum Kedungmutih in the subject of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) material Faith in Allah SWT through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is conducted in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 18 students of class IA. Data collection was carried out through written tests and observation sheets. The results showed that in the first cycle, there were 8 out of 18 students (44%) who achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) of 70 with an average grade of 64. In cycle II, there was a significant increase, where all students (100%) achieved KKM with an average class score increasing to 80. This shows that the application of the PBL model contributes positively to improving students' understanding, especially in the material of Faith in Allah SWT. The implementation of learning with PBL provides a more active and meaningful learning experience so as to encourage a significant improvement in student learning outcomes. Thus, the PBL model can be an effective learning strategy recommended in the context of Islamic religious education at the elementary school level
