Criminal Law and Islamic Perspectives on The Death Penalty in Parental Murder Cases
The death penalty for the murder of a child by a parent is subject to differing standards of justice and proportionality between positive law and Islamic law. This disparity requires in-depth study and analysis of judicial rationality and criminal proportionality. This study assesses the rationality of the judge’s considerations and the proportionality of the death penalty in Mandailing Natal District Court Decision No. 40/Pid.B/2025/PN Mdl (parricide murder) from the perspective of Islamic criminal law, with a focus on qishash and maqashid al-shariah. The method used is normative legal research with a doctrinal and judgment study approach; the analysis materials include a copy of the verdict, the Criminal Code, fiqh literature, and contemporary studies analyzed descriptively-qualitatively and comparatively. The results show that the panel formally assessed the fulfillment of the elements of premeditated murder so that the verdict led to the death penalty according to Article 340 of the Criminal Code. Textually, the elements of qishash were fulfilled and the victim's family did not grant forgiveness, but weaknesses in forensic and psychiatric evidence reduced factual certainty, which is an important prerequisite under Islamic criminal law before applying a commensurate punishment.

Measuring the Success of Smart Villages: Empowering Communities through Digital Skill Development
This research is motivated by the digital divide between urban and rural areas in Riau Province, especially in the transformation of villages into Smart Villages. The focus is on measuring the impact of digital skills development on three pillars: Smart People, Smart Economy, and Smart Living. Using a quantitative survey method, data were collected from 80 respondents using the Quota Sampling technique in four villages in Kampar Regency that have participated in digital skills training since 2021. Multivariate regression analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between digital skills and access to employment, entrepreneurship, and quality of life. The results showed that digital skills training contributed positively to improving access to employment (Smart People). However, its impact is still influenced by other factors such as access to relevant job markets. In the Smart Economy aspect, although field observations showed an increase in local entrepreneurship, regression analysis indicated that digital skills had a very small impact on entrepreneurship improvement, likely due to more dominant factors such as technology and innovation. The conclusion of this study reveals that digital skills development has a positive impact on transforming villages into Smart Villages. Still, it requires better infrastructure support and broader community involvement to ensure equitable benefits

Internalizing the Value of Respecting Differences through Role Playing: Classroom Action Research on Islamic Education Learning in Elementary Schools
Life in a pluralistic society requires the formation of noble morals from an early age, especially an attitude of mutual respect for differences. However, moral learning in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects in elementary schools often experiences obstacles because student learning outcomes, especially in the realm of social attitudes, are still low and have not reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). This study aims to analyze the application of the Role Playing Learning Model in improving the moral learning outcomes of students in grade Va of SDN 1 Kalipucangkulon Welahan Jepara on the material of mutual respect for differences in the 2024/2025 school year. The research uses a classroom action research (PTK) approach with a spiral design consisting of three stages: pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. The subjects of the study were 25 students of class Va. Data were collected through behavioral observation, attitude assessment documentation, and field notes, then analyzed descriptively, qualitatively, and quantitatively. The results showed an increase in moral learning completeness from 58% in the pre-cycle to 76% in the first cycle, and reached 88% in the second cycle. The application of Role Playing has been shown to be effective in helping students understand moral values contextually through simulation of real social experiences, thus facilitating the internalization and application of an attitude of respect for differences in daily life. These findings make an original contribution to the development of social-emotional experience-based PAI learning strategies, while offering innovative alternatives for teachers in optimizing moral learning in elementary school
The Effectiveness of Multimedia-Based Storytelling Methods in Improving Elementary School Students' Understanding of Islamic History
The low understanding of students on religious history materials, especially the story of the migration of the Prophet Muhammad to Medina, encourages the need for innovation in learning strategies that are able to attract interest and increase student involvement. This study aims to analyze the improvement of the learning ability of grade IV students of SD Negeri 3 Kedungleper Bangsri, Jepara, through the application of multimedia-based storytelling learning methods to the material. The research uses a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach with a two-cycle design, each including the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consist of 15 grade IV students in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data was collected through formative tests, observation of student activities, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively, qualitatively, and quantitatively to measure improvement in understanding and participation. The results showed a significant improvement: the average formative test score rose from 76 in cycle I to 90 in cycle II, while the average score of student activity observation increased from 17.6 to 27.5. These findings prove that multimedia-based storytelling methods are effective in strengthening concept understanding while increasing students' emotional and cognitive involvement with Islamic history materials. This research makes an original contribution to the development of a religious learning approach that is contextual, interesting, and in accordance with the characteristics of elementary school-age students, and can be adapted to other religious history materials.
American index exchange movement against IDX stochastic
A giant warehouse full of countless opportunities forms the foundation of this study, which aims to conduct stochastic modeling of the impact of the movement of the American stock index on the IDX (Indonesia Stock Exchange). This research discusses and emphasizes how the movement of the American stock index affects changes in the IDX over a certain period of time using a quantitative approach. The study employs a Hidden Markov Model (HMM) to identify latent market states. It utilizes the Viterbi method to determine the most probable sequence of state transitions based on the observed data. The model was trained using historical movements of the NASDAQ, NYSE, and DOW JONES indices, facilitating the discovery of significant trends in IDX changes. The research results show a trend in the movement of the IDX based on the movement of the American indices NASDAQ, NYSE, and DOW JONES, as follows: Bullish, bearish, bullish, bearish when NASDAQ is observed at 1, 2, 5, 6, and 8; NYSE is observed at 1, 3, 9, 11, and 15; and DOW JONES is observed at 1, 3, 4, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16. Bearish, bullish, bearish, bullish when NASDAQ is observed at 3, 9, 11, and 15; NYSE is observed at 2, 5, 6, and 8; and DOW JONES is observed at 2, 5, 6, 8, and 14. Bearish, bullish, bearish, bearish when NASDAQ is observed at 4, 12, and 16. Bullish, bearish, bullish, bullish when the NYSE is observed at 4 and 12. Bullish, bearish, bearish, bullish when NASDAQ is observed at seven and when NYSE is observed at 10. Bearish, bullish, bullish, bearish when NASDAQ is observed at 10. Bearish, bearish, bullish, bearish when NASDAQ is observed at 13 and 14. Bullish, bullish, bearish, and bullish when the NYSE is observed at 13, 14, and 16. The analysis indicates that IDX trends generally fluctuate in line with major U.S. indices (NASDAQ, NYSE, DOW JONES). Notably, specific observations 4, 12, 13, 14, 16 reveal a stronger correlation: a bearish NASDAQ movement tends to align with a bearish IDX stochastic, whereas a bearish NYSE movement is more likely to trigger a bullish response in the IDX
Simultaneous quantification of B-complex vitamins in tablet dosage form by ultraviolet spectrophotometry using the absorption factor method
A novel ultraviolet (UV) spectrophotometric method using the absorption factor approach was developed for the simultaneous quantification of B-complex vitamins (cobalamin, pyridoxine, riboflavin, nicotinamide, and thiamine) in tablet dosage forms. The analysis was carried out using methanol as the solvent, with distinct wavelengths selected for each vitamin: 361 nm for cobalamin, 291 nm for pyridoxine, 269 nm for riboflavin, 262 nm for nicotinamide, and 239 nm for thiamine. The method exhibited excellent accuracy, with recovery rates of 100.0851%, 100.3548%, 100.3322%, 100.7838%, and 100.4271% for cobalamin, pyridoxine, riboflavin, nicotinamide, and thiamine, respectively. This technique provides a simple, precise, and effective means for simultaneous quantification of B-complex vitamins in tablet formulations.
