Development of Attitude Assessment Instruments in Environmental Pollution Practicum Activities
Assessment in practical activities only focuses on cognitive and psychomotor aspects, while attitude assessment tends to be neglected. This condition indicates the need to develop a valid and reliable attitude assessment instrument to support a more comprehensive assessment. This study aims to develop an attitude assessment instrument based on validated and reliable observation techniques in the context of environmental pollution practical activities. This study uses a type of development research (Research and Development) with a development design that refers to the ADDIE model. The subjects of this study include: (1) Three expert validators who are lecturers of Biology Education, and (2) 36 students of class X.A SMAN 89 Jakarta. Data analysis was carried out through logical validation by experts and empirical validity and reliability tests using Product Moment correlation analysis and Cronbach's Alpha reliability formula. The results of the logical validation carried out by three experts showed that the attitude assessments assessed were all valid, with an average of 78.36%. At the implementation stage, empirical validity and reliability tests were conducted on 36 students and obtained eight valid attitude aspects with calculated r results > r table. Then all valid attitude aspects were tested for reliability and the result was 0.422, so that the instrument developed was included in the fairly reliable category
Community Empowerment through the AKSARA Education Program: A Case Study of the 'Pandawa' Youth Organization
Illiteracy among the elderly remains a challenge in various regions in Indonesia, including Banyuwangi Regency, limiting their social and economic participation. This article examines the implementation of the AKSARA program, an independent effort to address this issue, run by the youth organization PANDAWA (Persatuan Pemuda Wangkal) in the Wangkal neighborhood of Kalipuro District. The purpose of this study was to examine the program's implementation and analyze its impact on improving literacy and reducing illiteracy among elderly participants. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, then analyzed thematically. The results showed that the program was implemented using a teacher-centered learning approach, three times a week for fifteen meetings, held in residents' homes. The material focused on basic reading and writing with patient tutoring. Despite facing challenges such as time constraints and participant characteristics, PANDAWA was able to overcome these challenges with solutions based on local wisdom and strong social ties. The novelty of this study lies in the documentation of a community-based empowerment model driven entirely by local youth initiatives. The findings suggest that youth can be effective agents of change in non-formal education and sustainable community development

Local Specialty Product Innovation of Tilapia Fish Nugget “Spirunila” through the Empowerment of Karangtaruna Pemuda Mudi Gabahan (PMG) and Persons with Disabilities in Mulur Village
This community service program responds to the underutilization of tilapia production in Mulur Village, Sukoharjo, where limited product diversification constrains economic growth. The program introduced Spirunila, a fortified tilapia-based product, while empowering the PMG Youth Organization and persons with disabilities through an Inclusive Joint Business Group (KUBA). The Participatory Learning System (PALS) was implemented to deliver capacity-building activities in production technology, entrepreneurship, and digital marketing. Program effectiveness was evaluated using pre- and post-test questionnaires on seven indicators, which were analyzed using a Paired Sample t-Test, N-Gain Score, and Cohen’s d. The results showed statistically significant improvements (p < 0.001), high learning gains (N-Gain category: High), and substantial effect sizes (d > 1.97), demonstrating strong behavioral and capability transformation among partners. Institutional strengthening ensures sustainability through shared production governance and digital market expansion. The findings confirm that inclusive innovation in community-based fish processing can enhance rural economic diversification and reinforce village tourism competitiveness
Community-Based Occupational Health Promotion for Rural Youth Through Ergonomic Education and Therapeutic Swimming Training
Occupational health issues in rural informal industries, particularly home-based garment production, are often overlooked despite the high risk of musculoskeletal disorders among young workers. This community service program aimed to improve occupational health literacy and physical well-being among rural youth through ergonomic education and therapeutic swimming training in Ngadirejo Village, Boyolali. Implemented in collaboration with Karang Taruna “Gambate,” the program applied a community-based participatory approach over eight months. Interventions included ergonomic training on proper posture, simple workstation adjustments, micro-break and stretching routines, and therapeutic swimming to support muscle recovery. A one-group pre-test and post-test design using the Occupational Health Knowledge Scale and the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire was used for evaluation. Results showed a 28.8% increase in ergonomic knowledge and a 23.5% decrease in musculoskeletal complaints. In conclusion, participatory and low-cost ergonomic interventions effectively improved health awareness, reduced physical strain, and strengthened productive behavior among rural youth workers
Investigating the Effect of Islamic Theology on Moderate Attitudes of Muslims
Islamic theology is the main doctrine of belief centered on tauhid (the Oneness of God) and forms the foundation of the life of Muslims. The principle of tauhid establishes a framework of relations among nations based on brotherhood which is the essence of true religious life. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the influence of belief on Muslims' moderate attitude using a correlational survey approach. The statistical population consisted of 2250 students from Islamic Religious Universities (PTKI) in Pekalongan, who have taken the Religious Moderation course. The sample was determined using the accidental sampling technique with 289 students participating as respondents. Data were collected through a psychological scale and analyzed using simple regression analysis. The results showed that belief positively influenced the moderate attitudes of Muslims, accounting for 39.1% of the variance. This study provided a new perspective on Islamic moderation and the influencing factors, emphasizing a comprehensive understanding of Islamic Theology and the implications for attitudes and behaviors of Muslims. It also underscored the importance of internalizing the principles and values of Islamic moderation into da'wah and education. Beyond theoretical insights, the study offered practical guidance for policymakers in designing interventions to address the threats of radicalism and extremism
PAI-AI Trinity of Knowledge: An Examination of Artificial Intelligence in Islamic Religious Education through the Lens of the Philosophy of Science
A conceptual model that operationally combines contemporary artificial intelligence (AI) literacy with the philosophical framework of Islamic science for the context of religious learning does not yet exist. This research aims to develop a conceptual framework between PAI and AI from the perspective of the Philosophy of Science. The research method is by conducting a structured literature review (scoping review) followed by conceptual synthesis using triangulation analysis. The results of the research resulted in a conceptual framework of the PAI-AI Trinity of Science that integrates three main dimensions. First, epistemic, which is the ability to verify, validate, and contextualize AI-generated knowledge in the sharia corridor, including tracking scientific sanad and source validity. Second, ethics, namely the application of the principles of maqasid al-shariah and Islamic manners in AI human interaction, which includes the protection of human benefits, justice, and honor. Third, axiology, which is the orientation of the use of AI for moral, useful, and sustainable educational purposes according to the vision of Islamic education. In conclusion, the unification of the philosophical tradition of Islamic science with AI literacy and explainable AI (xAI) in education can be translated into curriculum competency design that includes aspects of knowledge, skills, and attitudes; management of digital tools and resources; and a sustainable evaluative research agenda. This framework is expected to be a reference for the development of an Islamic Religious Education curriculum that is adaptive to technological disruptions, but still rooted in Islamic scientific values and principles
International Court Justice ruling for Palestine-Israel in Indonesian media: Discourse analysis in Kompas.com, CNNIndonesia.com, and Detik.com
This research analyzes the coverage of three major media in Indonesia, Kompas.com, CNNIndonesia.com, and Detik.com, regarding the ruling of the International Court of Justice in July 2024, which declared Israel's occupation of the Palestinian territories as illegal. Using a critical discourse analysis approach from Teun A. van Dijk, the research aims to reveal how these media report the ICJ ruling and represent their support for Palestine. Van Dijk's approach focuses on the relationship between discourse, power, and ideology, analyzing the news text's macrostructure (main themes and topics) and micro (choice of words, sentences, and rhetoric). Data were collected from articles published by Kompas.com, CNNIndonesia.com, and Detik.com following the ICJ ruling on 19 July 2024. The findings show that the three media support the ICJ ruling and strengthen the pro-Palestine narrative in Indonesia. Practically, the results of this research can be a reference for developing more effective media communication strategies in supporting international justice issues and building public solidarity.
